A very underrated part of Phantom Blood is when Dio tearfully pleads that his abused and impoverished upbringing is to blame for his villainy and he only lost sight of what it meant to be good as a result of his alcoholic father, then Speedwagon, a man we can infer has a very similar origin story, emerges from the shadows out if nowhere and says "Nah dude you just fucking suck."

Araki listed Dio's gender as "⚨" on his updated Character History form, differentiating him from Kira and Valentine who Araki listed as "♂." Basically, Araki confirming that DIO transcends not just humanity but also gender.

🧛‍♀️Happy Halloween! I wanted to draw Giorno in costume but couldn't choose between a vampire and a ladybug, thus this idea was made.

I have a modern day AU where Dio and Jonathan have joint custody of their sons, but they have very different ideas on how to raise them well 😅 Giorno already starts with blond hair, and he actually cries cuz he's raised by 1 good dad who taught him how to express himself 🥹 Erina and Jonathan are married and Dio and Pucci are a thing cuz Dio doesn't believe in the institution of marriage and Pucci will bend the rules of pre-marital affairs for a man he loves the way he loves God 🙏

Dio Brando is such a world class hater it's insane. Kid hated his adoptive brother so much he decided to make it his whole family tree's problem. Haunted an entire gene pool for over a century just cause his punk brother got in the way of his inheritence. It took a temporal armageddon and a full world reboot just to scrub away the consequences of his fuckin around and he still shows up as a cowboy weredinosaur to ruin everyone's day. A master class in causing problems on purpose.
