✨ Ecto Implosion by @ecto-implosion: A mini reverse big bang based off the event @invisobang has been announced! This one being where the artists go first, and the writers follow up with 1k minimum oneshots after. Sign ups begin August 3rd!

👻 Although with the longform events underway, there are no short events coming up this month, the calendar and prompts for Angstfest (Aug 1st) will be released in the coming weeks from this blog. So for those looking for a lowkeye phandom event, stay tuned for that announcement!

The Danny Phantom Phandom is known for being an absurdly active Tumblr fandom with loads of events running throughout the year. This is typically done through word of mouth, looking at tags, or following people who tend to promote dp events.

So I’ve decided to create a yearly, comprehensive google doc calendar for all events!

The idea is each year will have an active, updatable doc to keep track of all the dp events, prompt calendars, sign ups, blogs, etc. To add an event feel free to DM, it can be hosted on or off Tumblr. This way people can easily find and keep track of events for each year!

Summary: Under the full moon isn’t the only time Dan and Phil do business in the forest, but it is certainly the time of month they do the most business. Phil thinks it’s because that’s when all of the supernaturally-inclined creatures come out to play, but Dan’s cynicism bleeds through whenever he argues that it’s just because the full moon “seems witchy” and that it’s akin to a tourist trap. Phil rolls his eyes, every time.

or: Dan believes that magic exists; he sees evidence of it every day with Phil. He just doesn't believe he has any magic of his own.

For those entering the phandom now, or for anyone who have entered recently or are interested in participating, after IB this year we're doing an even minier "reverse bang" (aka artists go first and then writers write a min 1k oneshot to go along with the art). You can check it out at @ecto-implosion! Collab events are super fun and I recommend joining if you're even remotely interested!

the people getting into the fandom are gonna get fed GOOD when the invisobang fics and art drop too they're coming at the perfect time

oh god yes. i will say, being both a writer and musician this year, the fics/art are like. my god. they are. just. SO GOOD. so diverse too. there are fics that are 5k oneshots and fics that are 100k+ monsters. I think there's something like 65 fics in total?

(for those who don't know, invisobang is a dp-themed mini "big bang" that starts in April and lasts through the summer. Fics drop the first week of September.)

also @kinglazrus should be very proud of me because i've kept my mouth SHUT about my IB fic on this blog and will continue to do so. all i can say though is that anyone who reads my fics will be surprised when they see what i've concocted this year. it's an absolute monster and it's also not even remotely close to my usual MO.
