Happy July! Let's see what's been updated:

✨ Ecto Implosion by @ecto-implosion: A mini reverse big bang based off the event @invisobang has been announced! This one being where the artists go first, and the writers follow up with 1k minimum oneshots after. Sign ups begin August 3rd!

Now for what's coming up:

👻 Although with the longform events underway, there are no short events coming up this month, the calendar and prompts for Angstfest (Aug 1st) will be released in the coming weeks from this blog. So for those looking for a lowkeye phandom event, stay tuned for that announcement!

The Danny Phantom Phandom is known for being an absurdly active Tumblr fandom with loads of events running throughout the year. This is typically done through word of mouth, looking at tags, or following people who tend to promote dp events.

So I’ve decided to create a yearly, comprehensive google doc calendar for all events!

The idea is each year will have an active, updatable doc to keep track of all the dp events, prompt calendars, sign ups, blogs, etc. To add an event feel free to DM, it can be hosted on or off Tumblr. This way people can easily find and keep track of events for each year!

Silvio: (points at the counselor) And when did you stop being my personal fortune-teller and become my damned marriage counselor?!

Azel: So you admit that I am indeed your personal fortune-teller.

Azel: (rips off his ugly counselor cardigan) That's all I ever wanted. Here's the bill for this session. Please continue to have communication issues for the next 50 years. I quite depend on it.

NOT THE LAST MIDDLE PART COMIC NOIR I INTEND TO DRAW!!!! age discourse/noir timeline discussions i see on the dash have started to make me think about the overlapping year (1933....) and how that could be tied to the 'canon event'. and specifically the potential of comic!noir having a crazy angsty bittersweet time about itsv noir having longer with robbie because he happens to be born earlier in his universe. but also comic!pete having to grapple with knowing what happened to robbie in his universe and how he can't stand by and watch a version of himself lose robbie when he could change things. which is why i have this draft of a page :)

AND GOD DUDE THE WAY U DRAW COMICS NOIR (baby... baby boy) ABSOLUTELY HAS PLAYED A PART IN HOW I DRAW HIM !!! he is so devastatingly young in your depiction of him and i felt like the way i drew the comic version of him had to change and adjust towards that!!!! i love the comic art but that is not a 16-17 year old kid and i swear if the comic reflected how young he was i would have had the world's worst category 10 woman moment

And make sure to thank them, too! Every single line artist agreed to make their work available to the public for coloring without knowing how anyone else had answered the question! It was a unanimous decision, done independently. I find that so freaking cool because it shows what super generous folk we had this year!

WIP Wednesday - looking for the meaning of life

Hello friends! It's been a while since I've done one of these and I thought considering how long my current WIP is taking and how fond I am of it, it would only be right to give you all a little snippet! Enjoy 💜

She hasn’t seen Essek in… well, centuries. It pains her to admit that even to herself, that she let their connection wither and fade for so long. It pains her even more to acknowledge that it was already withered and faded by the point that she saw him last, before he vanished from the Dynasty and became a fugitive. She has been, as she always has been towards him, neglectful. Absent. She knows that if she’d reached out soon after his disappearance, anytime in that first century, even after he was lauded amongst the heroes of the Red Solstice, it’d have put him at great risk. But she also knows that that wasn’t her reasoning back then, or at least not the key factor in it, and even if it was, that it doesn’t excuse the next two centuries of silence. Most likely, he resents her still. It’s only in this life that she’s managed to shed that habit herself—loathing potent enough to sink into the bone—and it’s one she watched him inherit. She cannot fault him for it, if that is how he feels. Worse, though, he could simply not care anymore. If she taught him anything, it was apathy.

Light, that would break her heart, shatter it irreparably, but she cannot deny the likelihood of it, nor the fairness of it. All his life, she’s behaved as though she hasn’t cared for him. Only now, in this life, has she found the will to try and show him otherwise. It’s that same will that stirs her from her spiraling thoughts at last and pushes her forward, towards the front door of her son’s home. She crosses from the stone street to a gravel walkway lined with brightly blossoming flowers. There’s too many to count, to name, to decipher, but it’s beautiful and the air feels so alive. It makes her very soul sing as she comes up to the door, the glass of its windows stained and depicting a starry sky grown over with vines of white flowers. For a long moment, she feels as though she cannot breathe. And then, she knocks; three steady, resolute raps against the wood. A minute passes, in which she patiently waits, before the door swings open. The man standing across the threshold is not her son.

currently learning how to add a new hostler/purchasable horse into the world for the Steeds of Skyrim Extended module that will have all the world edits in it. it's a pain in the ass just like every other aspect of modding skyrim but I think I've almost got it.
