Sleepy King

The Justice League Dark caught wind of a cult trying to summon the Ghost King. A being with power so terrible and great, that all of the chaotic Infinite Realms feared him. A true tyrant. Long ago it took the effort of ghosts equal to gods to seal him away into a permeant slumber.

And now this cult wishes to wake him and bring him to the living realm. It was a race against the clock to find the ritual site and all members were called on board, magic or not. Even Constantine looked stressed.

They did find the site.

But it was too late, the ritual was completed. The entire inner circle of runes glowed before being swallowed in a column of green light. The air filled with static and a ringing that made Supergirl crumble to the ground.

The light dissipated, but there was no great figure or being of pure evil. Instead there was a boy, a teenager. He laid on the ground curled up in his sleep. He was a ghost no doubt, dressed in regal clothing.

Despite this when he stirred, everyone froze. It seemed the cold hard ground woke him up. He got up slowly and yawned, revealing his sharp fangs. Once sat up he opened his bleary eyes to look around. He looked confused and tired, really tired.

"Where am I?" He mumbled. "I was trying to get some sleep." Constantine internally screaming, latches onto that last sentence. He glances over to Batman. He caught that last part too. Batman approaches calmly and crouches down in front of the boy king. Hardening his resolve, Batman takes on a gentle tone.

"Hey kiddo, sorry we woke you. Lets get you back to bed yeah?" The boy nodded in agreement. He pulled himself to his feet before looking around in a circle. "Where did my blanket go?" He asked rather sadly. Batman is quick to shed his own cape and drape it over him. "You can borrow my cape until we get you a new one." He nodded again, pulling the black fabric around himself.

John quickly summoned a portal door, while Batman led the King through it. John threw looks around at everyone. Everyone could tell he was mouthing the words. 'Find me a fucking blanket now'

Running on the logic of getting the king away from Earth, away from graves and the undead, that could give him power. The portal led to the Watch Tower.

Batman took advantage of the King's bleary state to send a base wide alert for all noncritical members to evacuate immediately. With a priority that death adjacent members leave first. "The stars are pretty." Bruce looked at the boy staring out the window in wonder. He almost looked like a normal kid, almost.

"Yeah they are, it's pretty late so we should get you back to bed." He nodded, going along with Batman's gentle coaxing.

He takes the boy to an unused bedroom. Making sure the room isn't dusty and that lights are dimmed. He glances back to see about a dozen different leaguers all holding blankets, one thought to bring extra pillows. The bed was pretty barren with only a single pillow and a thin bedsheet. So Bruce took a thick duvet, one of the fluffier blankets and a second pillow from his team before shooing them away.

The boy ended up keeping his cape, mumbling how it was warm. He tucked the boy in, before quietly exiting the room and turning off the light. He was pretty sure the King fell back to sleep before he even reached the light switch.

After the door shut, he made direct eye contact with John. "Constantine." They needed to figure out what the hell was going on.

Like, he knew king candy locked memories away, and he knew that he separated Vanellope's code, but he most likely would not be able to remember why

He looks at the little outcast, the glitch, and he knows that this isn't right, that there must be something missing

he knows king candy must be hiding something, but he cannot phamton what, or perhaps he can, but who could he trust that wouldn't tell?

He looks away from the kid, perhaps with a twinge of pity in his sour heart, there's nothing he can do

It’s really messed up because he’s smarter than he lets on, he was able to figure out Candy removed Vanellope from the code and also the fact the game will reset if she crosses the finish line. Maybe he overheard King Candy…? Or maybe he just straight up told him knowing nobody would believe him. That would be a lot worse.

Does anyone want a post explaining the differences between the vampires of Dracula, and the vampires of Phantom Blood (jjba)? Because I can explain how different the vampires are between these two works.

So vampires right? Blood sucking creatures of the night, many cultures have them, and Bram Stoker decided to inspire himself from one to create our classic vampire Count Dracula, and the vampire ladies.

BUT our lord and savior Hirohiko Araki read this concept, sat in his house, and said to himself, "Impressive, very nice, but I want more flamboyance, more panache, the body horror gore? I can fix this." And made a new concept vampire for his manga jjba Phantom Blood so his main villain Dio Brando could become one.

Of course Araki made many changes to the vampire lore in Dracula to create a truly bizarre creature.

So the main differences between the vampires in Dracula and the vampires in jjba Phantom Blood are so many that one could call them two different species of the same thing.

On one hand, the vampires in Dracula are the original gothic vampire that everyone knows with their weaknesses and a few surprise powers: Ancient undead beings who feed on human blood. They have inhuman strenght, and can hide in the shadows. They are not destroyed by the sun, but weakened. They can turn into animals and control animals, control their body to turn into dust, Dracula can control the weather, they can hypnotize someone to kill them. They have inhuman agility to climb walls, and float off the ground. They HAVE to bite someone to feed on blood, and to create a new vampire the older vampire has to either kill and feed someone their blood (Lucy), or make someone drink their blood (Mina). To kill them you have to both cut their head and pierce their heart with something of belief. Their weaknesses are running water, religious holy objects, the strong belief in itself, and garlic flowers are stinky to them. Basically a classic powerful vampire with surprising powers.

On the other hand, what one can say about the vampires in jjba Phantom Blood... These are one of the most batshit takes on a vampire that I have ever read. I will have to use our main vampire and villain DIO Brando as an example because he is the only effective vampire in all of Jojo's. Vampires in Jojo's not only have superhuman strenght, and agility, and high level regeneration to the point of surviving being cleanly cut in half, anti-aging so no old looking vampires, enhanced senses, hypnosis, bodily modification, AND the ability to use their fingers as straws to suck blood which in here they do not feed on it but rather use it to heal wounds and gain back strenght so no neck bites even if they have the chompers. They can't float nor fly but it doesn't matter because of everything else. To make someone a vampire they have to use the stone mask, or receive blood from another vampire. Only sucking the blood from a victim makes them a zombie (which are also another problem because these things are like cockroaches). And in Jojo's the ONLY WEAKNESS for a vampire is the sun, that's it. This is why the only way to kill a vampire was to either use Hamon (a martial art that channels the light of the sun through breathing) or fuck them up enough with a stand then let them die in morning with the sun.

Also, in Jojos it seems that the more unorthodox powers of a vampire are created by the creativity of said vampire because Dio used all of his vampirism to create some really creative powers such as: a vaporization freezing technique to completely freeze a human body in seconds, body fusion to survive enough to fuse his head with Jonathan's body, Space Ripper Stingy Eyes, and flesh buds that are inserted right into the brain to mind control a person.

One could even describe the vampires in Phamton blood as some fucked elvoved creatures? since in Jojo's vampires are not undead. If you don't know, the stone mask used by Dio (our resident vampire) in Phantom Blood was one of the imperfect stone masks that the pillar man Kars (google this being, and see him I'm begging you) created first so he could achieve the goal of becoming a practically perfect immortal organism. It's a mask that you wet with blood so it can pierce specific parts of the brain to activate evolutionary traits in a speedrun.

So... what do you all think about this?

Afternoon, even without lights or clocks in the white room, it was something she learned to count long before there were warm metal that would burn any other person.

When little laughter and little feet ran around her while chores were to be done.

Rei summoned ice to her fingertips, resting the points on her face, frost forming fast from the three points touching the numb skin, a clogged misty sigh was let out before she let go of her quirk, feeling the warm in her wrists itch like when she had to clean up the rafters of her family house full of dust.

It was a theory that someone in the walls of this "eternal" prison controled dust, that's why the vigilance with cleaning, but Rei could only think of the times all alone in a mansion too big for just four people, so vigilance against bunnies of dust and stains hurried away the boredom.

And as cause of stains, she doubted they would trust any prisoner here. At least not be dumb enough to repeat such mistake if there was before.

Her nails were long, before, she would recoil and seek a trimmer immediately, now? Rei doesn't mind, more surface area to spread sharp icecles, but something in this put her in a pensive mood.

Noise exploded over, startling Rei, explosions? but there was no vibration in the walls and floors-

Other now, one more, quick on her feet, Rei strained the chain with coords to the front of the cell, black privacy window blacked out most things, but Rei could squint movement and shape into the main hall of their level wing, something was happening, another riot? no, there wasn't something in here that could-

This time, the noise rumbled with vibration, a true explosion that scrapped the outer layed of the glass, scratchy and blurry, but Rei could see into the hall, could see the forms that were swiftly moving around cells, looking for something.

Blinking, realisation fell as Rei noticed, they were the same size of when she meet dear Keigo, this were children moving around like a organized militia party, her heart ached, echoes of phamton laughter ringing in her ears when she reached out, placing a hand against the window.

Her breath hitched, one form separated from the other children in her mind, blue form adorned with ring of wings accompanied by faint glowing horns reminiscent of a broken halo, that covered his face but let his white hair free.

Rei remebers, long memory that was almost worlds away from this ring of hell of her own, a silly story about ringed angels and putting her boy to sleep

The boy she and Endeavour doomed from the start.

Rei pushed a ragged breath in before her quirk bloomed, freezing the glass and beyond that, air dropping humidity to form crystals from point zero, making her breath mist again, but she maintained it, even with her fingers turning blue and the shakles letting out steam that scratched her skin, she couldn't stop.

Shouto knew what it would turn out, he saw Rei do it dozens of times, he would know with the full petals open.

One more moment, and Rei knew it was finished, she held her hands against her chest, blue and frostbite making her hands twitch with the fingers and nubs she had in calous hands.

One more noise without vibrations, and the door fell down to her cell.

"Mom." Was uthered shakily, his mask didn't cover his eyes anymore, and the last of her beating heard shattered seeing the scarred top head, the unfocused eyes she caused.

Rei couldn't do much besides the weak smile to her dear boy. "Hi Shoto. Oh how you have grown..."

He took steady steps, concentration in his face to be near her and reach out to Rei, his hands shook in the air before she took it in her own.

"It's actually you."

Her eyes watered, and weak chuckles spilled from her throat, she brought her hand to his check. "It is. I am so so sorry love. I always knew you were my smart boy Shoto."

He shook his head, shoulders also trembling as he grinded his teeth before speaking up. "No! No don't be sorry. It's not fully your fault! Stop. Please."

She wanted to bit her tongue at the imediate comeback to continue the guilt and apology, but Rei only held her breath, letting it go and bringing his face nearer, kissing his forehead, she breathed in the smell of sweetness and clean out of his hair before sepparating, a smile starting to dot her face.

"Ok. Ok. How bout we get out of here, my smart boy?."

He nodded, quickly turning to the shackles and chains and breaking with ice and fire in his hands, Rei took his hand as the two got out of the peacefull soundproof cell to the chaos of alarm bells and a group acting as a unit and still shouting at each other at every opportunity.

Shouto fixed his mask before also shouting out. "GROUND ZERO. IM GRABBING A EXTRA."

"FINE. YOURE THE ONE FEEDING THEM THOUGH!" The orange one responded, and Rei was already confused, but grabbing her child hand still, Rei could take confident steps with them, could turn the page of this horrible chapter of her life.

Who would you pick for a 2000’s fashion skinline?

HOOO hard question if i try to evade fave characters and also Riot beloved cashgrabs but i will be honest. Im gonna use a lot of pinterest images for this haha.

I wouldnt close it only to 2000s fashion BUT i think it could be a skinline with a lot of reference's that would make people go Oooh i catch that one!

Like for example imagine Ahri with the iconic 'A little bit dramatic' Regina George's T-Shirt with that preppy ''girly'' pop style. But i wouldnt give Ahri this kind of skin. In general id love for this skinline to actually do a 180º spin in a lot of characters or at least give them something a bit more distinctive. I feel they should feel very exaggerated in order to be iconic. Cartoony, even. For a preppy girlie pop style i'd think about Irelia, for example? We often see her in the exact same dress type in all her skins, even legendary ones...

Bratz should be a huge inspiration in this skinline, imo... I'd love to see Irelia in something like this. Hearthrob Caitlyn is something above this lines but they didnt give her something like jeans wich i think its very iconic. It would break original Irelia from the same dress-leggins thingy and her very traditional ionian clothing. Riot is always nonsensical so i wouldnt mind giving Irelia some platforms or even heels. Give her random items like those fluffly keychains in the pockets or cute patches...

I think Gwen would fit also into this girlie pop category. They already gave her this emo-goth look in Soul Fighter and Cafe cuties exploits the whole dress thing perfectly, Space Groove also does incredible in 70's-80's fashion. She lacks a skin that is colofur but just focused on a specific palette.

I believe something like this could fit her. You give her a break of the dress, but she can still look iconic! Imagine her with normals scissors hanging around with something like this! Give her a cute purse that flip flops around while she jumps and walks and its LOVELY you can even risk giving her an animal pattern...

I'd also loooooove Kalista with this type of style... Shes always gloomy and phamton-likely on her skins. She deserves a skin with this kind of aesthetic that is eye candy.

Something more 'girly' like on her would look amazing and i think giving her an alive appereance. She deserves pink and angst. Actually that one 'A little bit dramatic' shirt could be a clash between her personality and oath as a character that can be a funny joke inside the skin.

Id love to see Soraka in this type of outfit.

More earthy, green-brownish and with that type of elements cause its fitting for her character BUT would be a change in outfit cause riot almost always gives her a dress or a skirt. We stan soraka in jeans with her good ol' goat legs.

Ooooohhh i love this this is so fucking iconic... I'd love to see Tristana on this one but i know its one of my fave champs and also an often riot cashgrab so... I think this actually would be super fitting with Sivir! Or Zyra, giving her a more vibrant summer color theme...

Everytime i see Avril i SCREAM. You know what? Zoe deserves this type of skin. Not a fully black one but give her black with a very neon pink or another color. A type of 'Its not a phase mom!' skin.

YOU KNOW WHAT id love to see emo nidalee with a colorful and black transformation into feline. I think it would be nice! Also a big reference to the whole emo or scene fursona epoque. Or Orianna! Actually Orianna can also fit on the preppy girly pop. Shes amazing always.

For last picks... I have already betrayed my bow not to mention popular champions and cashgrabs. So i will break the bow all the way down. I would become CRAZY for a scene Pyke. A full black and white gloomy outfit but with rainbow elements like a lot of bracelets, charms, a rainbow belt... i would get rabies. I feel like Empyrean Pyke wasnt colorful enough, this would be completely rainbow elements that stand out from the design to remember you this dude loves bracelets.

Also a scene Vex would be AWESOME imagine her also with a lot of rainbow bracelets but very gloomy and Shadow is bursting in rainbow colors with faces like '>w<' or ':3' it would be great.

I just completed a year in the comunnity and i need to tell you just how much discovering your fics made that year better!

Your first fic that i read was the Stranger Things one, with Dustin and the older trio and needless to say i loved it! You truly have a talent to make readers feel phamton tickles (I did!). Btw, the dialogues were top tier, i could literally hear them voicing over the fanfic. Thank you for contributing sm to the comunnity Kour!

He opens his arms and the inner part of his sleeves are covered with eyes. They blink sometimes. Also, the eye colours match up with people he thinks about often! Curiosity's mask is also a cluster of eyes! It only covers half his face (think Phamton of the Opera)

^Uncertainty wears this with pants that have a matching pattern on it. I think Curiosity would have fringes on his outfits with long orange or red or sometimes blue embroidery lines on it, and Knowledge would have his star map cape as well as a night sky button up. You see true forms represented through clothing is cool and important
