It's been 2 weeks now that we were gifted with this wee little soul! I think she was around 5-6 weeks of age when I brought her in. My neighbor found her the next morning after the mother cat left her in his yard. He didn't want her and said if she stayed he would kill it (I do live in a rural area), but he did ask if we wanted her first. I took her off his hands telling him that if we decided not to keep her I'd take her to the rescue, but honestly, before walking all the way across with her, I knew she'd be staying. While I was in the hospital earlier this year, our eldest cat, Noodle (aka The Ancient One), departed this mortal realm to rejoin my mother. I'm glad they are reunited, but I did miss Noodle. Our pack was missing her too. Even Boomie, the cranky one, missed her. So we welcomed in this little angel and the Pack took to her immediately! Boomie has begun showing her the ways of their little fur fam dynamic and making sure the little one knows her place among them. At the bottom. The dogs, Athena and Lux, are just enamored with her! Lux has claimed the baby as her own and is showing mothering instincts I didn't know she had. She does helicopter parent though. She needs to know where the baby is at every given moment. Athena is only slightly less obsessive, but only because Lux likes to make sure Athena knows that the baby belongs to her. Sierra, has been obsessed with Monster Hunter Rise lately and named the little kitten "Nargacuga" and we have been calling her "Narga."
