Honestly I don’t get why hoyoverse decided to make Yae bully like all of the characters. Like with Ei it’s fine since it’s an (presumably) immortal character trolling of even more so immortal disaster friend but she like basically force-femmes Gorou which is weird, creepy, and not at all funny, normally Thoma’s line about her isn’t too bad in a vacuum but with how she treats Gorou it’s kinda not good. Of course there’s how she treated Scaramouche when he was basically just born. I didn’t actually know the Sara bit but that’s another strike against her.
It only really works when the character either a. Doesn’t realize they’re being messed with ala Itto or b. She’s battling wits with someone ala Kokomi.
They could’ve made her a tricksy girlboss without making her an utter dick
gorou force-femme thing is obv kink bait, so i dont even hold it against her. its marketing. its less about gorou and more for the subs self-insert to imagine her doing it to them, like lisa mommy bait with electrocution punishment on the side. i dont think its like, well done, but its playful and wink wink nudge nudge enough that like, whatever man.
everything else is kinda yeah. no one is getting off on that, thats just on her. and i don't think its wrong to write cruel petty characters, but the narrative doesn't really address it bc we need to keep her likable bc marketing again.
itd be much more interesting if we actually got into all toxic implication of being possessive ei's pet who immediately tries to remove anyone who can take raiden's attention, to the point of preferring raiden sitting isolated in a room for 500 years and country going into civil war, but yae is raiden's one and only friend and sooooo special

I got permission from my boss to share some pictures of the cats at The Black Cat Market! These cuties are almost all up for adoption.
For instance, here is Jasmine and Kiwi! A bonded pair of 8y cats who have to be adopted together. They were feral strays for several years so are a bit skittish, but Jasmine loves churu! They were even willing to take it from me after I had to change their blankets for our first time meeting 😭 I kept having the move them cus they kept retreating to different blankets I had to change out.
Here is Muncho and Funyun, two kittens that are (I believe) from different litters, though I may be incorrect on that. Nonetheless they are practically a bonded pair as well, and both of them are incredibly mischievous and chaotic, and love messing with the older cats. They absolutely adore fluffy beds like the one shown, and both love making biscuits!!
This is Kiki! Happy pride btw! She is a diluted calico, and is a sweety. She loves getting pet, and is a total sweety, though she doesn’t really like it when the kittens get too close. She isn’t aggressive though, and is very purry!
Nacho <3
I love Nacho, I think they are the smallest kitten, and they are the most snuggly of them, as well as the least chaotic of them. They love snoozin, and love pets and people. Also by far the least scared of the vacuum among the kittens.
Frito, the middle ground of chaotic and energetic. They jumped in the top down litter box while I was cleaning it, not expecting it to have water in it. Poor baby. Like all of the kittens. They also love people.
This amazing photo I snapped on accident is of the lovely old man, Crocker. Also known by the nickname “crockpot.” He loves escaping to the front of the cafe and hanging out with the owner. Personally I think he just likes getting carried by her, even if it’s right back to the cat room. He has somebody interested in him already that may be adopting him, but I wanted to share the picture cus look how handsome he is!!!
Feel free to DM if you are interested, otherwise I’ll continue posting pictures of the cats for the next month I will be working there before I move!

How do pets work with robots? Do robots even prefer having them at all? Are there cool robotic pets like sentient IDogs they can get? How do they deal with stuff like massive amounts of shedding and stuff like that if they like pets?
- 🔌
- (P.S I'll just file the ceiling damage as an accident to my insurance company)
Okay again it depends on the robot but robots having pets is surprisingly common! Max and Tandy both have quite a few pets between them
Tandys pets: Georgie (outdoor barn cat, not super keen on interaction)
a blue and white staffy called Maggie, she has a white patch on her nose but i couldnt find any clear images,
ive doodled her before tho:
and he also had a huntaway at some point, tho he doesn't have a name and was just a working dog so he wasn't super involved in the dogs life compared to Maggie who Tandy adores,
you won't see these pets a lot in the story or writing because none of them came up to Auckland with Tandy Max has two pets A ginger cat called Mutt
and a (very old) Mastiff mix called Badjelly the Witch (Or just Bad Jelly or Jelly for short)
these two DO appear in the story because they live with Max and Phillip for a time. I've grown up around big dogs and cats and love to include them in my stories when I can. Robots and animals tend to get along just fine for the most part, cats and dogs at least don't view them as any different than a human owner. Though I imagine robots must smell and sound weird to them and pets that robots aren't already familiar with would be scared by them. Things like fur and mess that animals create could be slightly damaging to a robot but there's nothing a quick vacuum can't fix As I've stated before Sierra hates dogs and I imagine that strains Max and Sierras relationship even more
I was thinking of giving Lithium and Sonnet a robot dog! They have robot animals in their universe that I believe would be sentient too? So they'd behave just like a dog/cat/whatever would
can we bring these back btw there's a market for them (me)
#ask#oc: Max#oc: Tandy#idea for pets in the future to be named pom pom and fluffy bum btw#after miss Jelly

Mornings
As I sit in the bathroom, I find my eyes have fallen on a very old steel step. It folds out into 3 steps, and has a handy seat on the top step. The seat is fake leather, and I know it over 35 years old. It was my wife's when we started living together. I see splashes of paint, and I remember each one, the color, the room, and yes even the house. It takes me back a bitter road of love. The first color come from our first house. I can't say it where we fell in love, because we leaped into love. We were perfect together.I learned when people say a relationship takes a lot of work, they have no idea what they are talking about. We were married 29 years, and never had one major fight. We were like 2 perfect gears together. Another color is from our second house in Colorado. We moved there because she missed her mother. We found that even though she lived across the alley from her son, she was unable to take care of herself. She was messing up her meds and had fallen and broken her collarbone. We decided to find a house to suit both mom and us. We found a home that we loved. It was quite a drive from where I worked, about 120 miles round trip, but it wasn't about me. We moved mom with us, and my new barn became a home for a lot of junk, and my 1968 Chevelle convertible. I didn't drive it much, because it sucked gas like a vacuum cleaner. I drove back and forth to work everyday, until she was diagnosed with cancer. She had been feeling run down for almost a year. Finally her doctor had a bone marrow test, and a pet scan. It was non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and it was stage 4. I turned in for retirement to take care of her. We could not make the mortgage payment, and decided to move. Mom had passed in 2013, her last years in a home for people with dementia. Enough said. We put the home on the market. It took almost a year to sell it. I had researched other places to live. She had live in Colorado all her life except the time she lived with me in California. She told me that she wanted to move out of Colorado, because this wasn't her Colorado anymore. We ended up selling and buying very quickly. One home that I had looked at was the one I am sitting in right now, although not in the bathroom anymore. We got moved and she found a fantastic doctor. He said she needed another round of chemo, and we had a meager Christmas that year, facing another round of sickness, loss of hair, well, you get the idea. She went through 4 treatments. She wasn't that sick, and lost little hair. After the treatments she was declared cancer free. We celebrated, but I had reservations. I knew this type of cancer comes back from experience.
It did. It came back 4 times. She went through chemo, having her spleen out, septic shock from an UTI, and the death of her best friend. The 4th time she had started chemo, and got infections through her PICC line, put in for the chemo. She went into the hospital again with infections. She had done this 3 times already. I didn't know this was the last. I watch as she had ups and downs, 18 days in ICU. About 5 days before she lost the fight, she told me she was so tired of fighting. I knew in my gut I was going to lose my bride. She rallied about 3 days before the end, but I knew this happens sometimes. The doctors tried one last treatment to fight the bacterial, fungal, and yeast infections in her blood and lungs. I agreed, but the drug killed her already weak kidneys. The last 2 days I told her she could go. I prayed for her to go, as terrible as that sounds. I knew she had a fear of dialysis, and told me many times she wasn't going to live like that, having watched her first husband died from kidney failure. Everyday I go up and sit by her bed, once she was sitting up, but had to have help even to stand. The last few days as she went in and out of reality, I'd sit and quietly sing to her. When I sang "Nights in White Satin", she'd smile, except the last 2 days, but I sang to her anyway. I was called to the hospital because they said she was going. I cried all the way there. I sat until 3 am on 5/5/2022. I had to go home and take care of our animals. I intended to come right back, but like an idiot, I sat down. I woke at 8:30 am, and got in the truck. At 8:45, the nurse called and said she had passed at 8:40 am. She had told me many times she didn't want me to sit and watch her die. Well Angel, I never denied you anything. Rest in Peace my Love.

NaNoWriMo: The Vividorium
I'm woefully behind on my NaNoWriMo project, but still managing to write every day. I'll be happy if I can get to 7,000 tonight.
I'm still not 100% confident in my writing to post everything on here, but here's a small chunk. It definitely feels like I'm writing in a vacuum too much - writing about what is going on instead of showing what's going on, but I haven't figured out how to fix that yet.
Constructure criticism welcome!

Emelia had intended to make her way to the park where the Christmas Market was set up to get a first look of the area. Although the market opened at 12pm each day, she expected the crowds would wait until the evening to descend on the stalls when the sun had gone down and the lights would twinkle light stars across the whole park.
The travel notebook tucked into her purse had a list of the vendors she was most looking forward to seeing and she had included the broad type of item each booth was expected to sell as well as specific items she’d found on each vendor’s website that she was particularly excited about for her parents, brother, and friends.
The light was red as she came up on the next corner and she looked around appreciatively at the rows of shops lining the street as she waited for the crossing line to change when her eyes came to rest on a store tucked between a cafe and a pet supply store. A brightly colored sign hung from the wall - The Vividorium - and a beautiful, half-finished replica of Starry Night sat in an easel in the window along with an array of oil paint tubes and scattering of brushes.
Making a split second decision, Emelia turned and jogged to crossed the street other pedestrians were already walking across, abandoning her original plans. She’d just pop in for a second and then could go on her way to the market.
The room insight was uncomfortably hot after the sharp chill she’d been walking through for the past 20 minutes and she quickly pulled off her gloves and stuffed them into her purse.
“Welcome in,” floated from the back of the store, “I’ll be out in a moment.”
“No rush,” she called back, running her fingers over the covers of the sketchbooks piled high on the table just inside.
The narrow store was lined with tall birch bookshelves. The shelves along the right side held notebooks and canvases of various sizes. She was tempted by a lime green LEUCHTTURM dot journal, but remembered her last two failed bullet journals and left it on the shelf.
Along the left shelves were cups of pens, pencils, markers, and brushes by the window. Then came the paints - acrylics, oils, gouache, and watercolors in sets and individual tubes and pans with brightly colored wrappers formed rainbows along the wall.
Emelia had picked up a tiny travel palette of watercolors when the owner of the earlier voice emerged from the back.
“Are you looking for anything in particular?”
“Oh, no, thanks. I’m just looking.”
“That’s a nice set,” the woman gestured to the palette still in Emelia’s hands, “Good if you’ve got an eye for mixing colors since there aren’t too many in there.”
“Ah, yeah, I don’t really know much about painting. I’d love to learn, but there was never enough time. But now that I’m on vacation…”
It was all the woman, whose name turned out to be Joan, needed to hear and 20 minutes later Emelia exited the art store with a not-so-small paper bag in hand filled with a 100-color watercolor palette that was surprisingly small for containing so many colors, a set of metal travel brushes, a water reservoir, a booklet of watercolor paper to practice on, and a pad of blank postcards that Joan had insisted would be good for sending paintings to her family. Emelia wasn’t so sure anything she could create at this point would be worth sending to anyone, but Joan had been more than a little intimidating in her enthusiasm and Emelia wasn’t sure she would be allowed to leave without them.

A poet's dream
My dream is to live in a house, with five rooms, a tiled kitchen filled with herbs, and a living room decorated in leather couches and dusted books. And a bathroom rinsed from its grit and stains once a month – like how one would wash a pet. And I dream for a pet to own, though I already have one.
Because I know that he will not survive when I am old enough to graduate from university.
My dream is to invite my friend to take refuge in my house, and she’ll sleep in the room next to mine – whose walls are hung with posters and vintage records and dried flowers tied with thin rope. And there'll be a square hole carved in the corner that connects our bedrooms, where we slip papers and drawings through for the other to see.
And I’ll sometimes sneak in a toy mouse, and she’ll nag me, and I’ll laugh.
My dream is to wake up every morning in striped, strawberry pyjamas, and to hurry down the carpeted stairs – which are consistently being vacuumed and cleansed – to make myself a cup of hot coffee and toast two bagels for her and me to laden with store-bought jam.
My dream is to live near a flower shop, a library, and a shop filled with stickers and tape and decorated stationery. And for a farmer’s market to be ten blocks down – where I can walk to, to buy our groceries and view the marvellous rooftops of apartments and small homes that are dusted with a litter of leaves and grit.
My dream is to have a mango tree growing in the backyard, and a small chicken coop with three chickens – all named after our favourite characters. And we’ll have glass cabinets for our old, broken phones and computers and drawing tablets.
My dream is to have enough money to keep my parents resting in their homes well-fed and happy. And to have bright skin, and dyed black and blonde (or green) hair, and the clothes that I wish to wear at this moment.
I dream to be happy, and to live in never ending solitude – with honest friends, and healthy parents who love each other and me, and friendly colleagues.
And I dream to be at peace, and when my final day comes, I will fall asleep with a smile as my last dream shows every single precious memory I’ve collected and lost through my years and my life.

Hey Brutus, what would you do if someone got their friend stuck in a vacuum cleaner?
:P
Maybe it's slightly mean to put Pet Foolery alongside NFTs and the Twitter trending tab, but dear god, every time I read it I'm horrified at the frictionlessness of it. There's certainly A Craft visible in it, but as @thewebcomicsreview put it, every comic is just "do you like dogs? our market research says yes!"

The Importance of Car Interior Cleaning: Maintaining Your Vehicle’s Comfort and Value
When it comes to vehicle maintenance, many car owners focus primarily on the exterior—washing, waxing, and polishing their cars to keep them looking pristine. However, the interior of your vehicle deserves just as much attention. Car interior cleaning is essential not only for aesthetic reasons but also for health, comfort, and preserving the value of your investment.
Health Benefits
A clean car interior is vital for your health and well-being. Over time, dust, dirt, allergens, and bacteria can accumulate inside your vehicle, especially if you transport children, pets, or food. These contaminants can contribute to respiratory issues, allergies, and other health problems. Regularly cleaning your car's interior helps eliminate harmful substances, ensuring a healthier environment for you and your passengers. Utilizing high-quality cleaning products and tools can help you reach all surfaces, including those hard-to-reach spots, where dirt and germs tend to hide.
Enhancing Comfort
Your car is more than just a mode of transportation; it’s a personal space where you spend a significant amount of time. A clean and well-organized interior enhances your driving experience, making your vehicle more comfortable and enjoyable. Imagine stepping into a car that smells fresh, with spotless seats and a gleaming dashboard. This comfort can significantly affect your mood, especially during long commutes or road trips. Regular interior cleaning helps maintain that level of comfort, ensuring that you and your passengers always enjoy a pleasant ride.
Preserving Resale Value
Your car is a considerable investment, and maintaining its value is crucial, especially if you plan to sell or trade it in the future. A clean interior is one of the first things potential buyers notice. Stains, odors, and clutter can lead to a negative impression, which might lower your vehicle’s resale value. By regularly cleaning your car’s interior, you help preserve its overall condition, which can significantly impact its market value. Investing in professional detailing services or committing to regular cleaning routines can pay off when it’s time to sell.
Preventing Wear and Tear
The daily wear and tear on your car's interior can be substantial, especially with regular use. Dirt and debris can cause scratches and damage to upholstery, carpets, and surfaces over time. Regular cleaning helps prevent this wear, allowing you to maintain the integrity of your car’s interior materials. Using appropriate cleaning methods for different surfaces—such as leather, fabric, and vinyl—can enhance their lifespan and keep your vehicle looking newer for longer.
Essential Cleaning Tips
Vacuum Regularly: Regular vacuuming removes loose dirt, dust, and debris from carpets, seats, and hard-to-reach areas. Aim to vacuum your car’s interior at least once a month or more often if you frequently transport pets or children.
Use the Right Products: Different materials require specific cleaning solutions. For instance, leather seats need a gentle leather cleaner, while fabric upholstery benefits from a specialized upholstery cleaner. Avoid using household cleaners that may damage your car’s interior surfaces.
Don’t Forget the Details: Pay attention to the smaller details, such as air vents, cup holders, and dashboard surfaces. These areas often accumulate dust and grime, impacting the overall cleanliness of your vehicle.
Deodorize: Keep your car smelling fresh by using air fresheners or natural deodorizing agents like baking soda. Regularly clean the floor mats and carpets to eliminate lingering odors.
Professional Help: Consider hiring a professional detailing service at least once or twice a year. They have the tools and expertise to thoroughly clean and maintain your vehicle’s interior, often achieving results that are difficult to replicate with DIY methods.
Conclusion
Car interior cleaning is an essential aspect of vehicle maintenance that should not be overlooked. It enhances health, comfort, and resale value while preventing wear and tear. By adopting regular cleaning habits and utilizing the right products and techniques, you can maintain a clean and inviting car interior, ensuring your vehicle remains a pleasant space for both you and your passengers. Whether you choose to tackle cleaning on your own or enlist professional help, prioritizing the cleanliness of your car's interior is a decision that will benefit you in the long run.

The Hidden Cost of Convenience: How Your Smart Devices Are Mapping Your Life
In an era where smart devices have become ubiquitous in our homes, a disturbing reality lurks beneath their convenient features. Is that robot vacuum diligently cleaning your floors? It's creating detailed 3D maps of your home. The biometric scanner at your local grocery store? It's collecting more than just payment data. These revelations come from data privacy experts Aram Senriq and Jesse Gilbert, authors of "The Secret Life of Data," who warn that our digital footprints are far more extensive – and permanent – than most people realize. "Data isn't really an object so much as it's a frame of mind," explains Senriq. "You can take any aspect of the human experience and reduce it to a set of numbers that has value for somebody somewhere." Take Amazon's Roomba, for instance. While marketed as a simple vacuum cleaner, its LIDAR sensors create comprehensive 3D maps of your home's interior, tracking everything from furniture placement to the number of residents and pets. According to Gilbert, this data has value far beyond improving cleaning efficiency. "The vacuuming function is why we invite them into our homes, but it's not the value for Amazon," he notes. This detailed spatial data helps build sophisticated consumer profiles that can be packaged and sold to third parties – or potentially accessed by government agencies without a warrant. The implications extend beyond individual privacy concerns. Amazon's acquisition of One Medical and its collection of biometric data through Whole Foods' palm-scanning payment system creates an unprecedented intersection of consumer behavior and health data. "Correlating your shopping habits with your medical risk factors... are very consequential and very high stakes," Gilbert warns. Even more troubling is how today's innocent data collection could have tomorrow's unforeseen consequences. The authors point to a stark example: during the decades when abortion was legal nationwide, millions of Americans used Google Maps to locate healthcare clinics. Post-Roe v. Wade, that same location data could potentially be used as evidence in criminal proceedings in states where abortion is now illegal. So what can consumers do? While completely opting out of digital services isn't realistic for most people, the authors suggest a three-pronged approach: - Support federal data privacy legislation - Take practical steps like using VPNs to encrypt personal data - Foster a culture of privacy awareness and normalized protective behaviors The message is clear: We need to move beyond the "nothing to hide" mindset and recognize that all data, like DNA, exists as part of an interconnected web that can reveal far more about us—and those connected to us—than we might imagine. As our homes and lives become increasingly connected, the question isn't just about what data we're willing to share today, but how that data might be used tomorrow. The convenience of smart devices comes with a price tag we're only beginning to understand. Read the full article

Amar (Digital) Chitra Katha
(Written on 19th October, 2105)
Amar Chitra Katha, as we all know (most of us, I believe), and have experienced (some of us, hopefully!), was an amazing amalgamation of comic and mythology. Almost 100 years ago, ACK was known as the voice of the grandparent...the most honest blueprint of our cultural and mythological history. They made comics...NO! not the digital ones, the printed ones, PAPER was widely used at that time, and the comic illustrations were not digitally generated, they were painted, BY HAND. However, by the 2020s, they had launched digital versions of all their comics, since children stopped reading paperbacks, and parents stopped buying. They had some sales, the digital versions were a hit for some time, but as the huge wave of child influencers flooded the internet, most kids, even toddlers, now preferred reels, shorts, tik-toks, etc. as forms of entertainment. The more mature kids preferred Coco Tv and other Youtube Channels. The world now witnessed an entire generation growing with an attention span of less than 15 seconds. When the "POCFIA Act [Prevention of Children from Internet Access Act] of 2040" was released by the Indian Government, kids were banned from the internet. ACK took this opportunity and quickly launched disposible VR Headsets installed with their new video comics, heavily inspired by anime. Parents bought these in large numbers, ACK Collections had a major hit! Some of the rich kids also started hoarding collectibles and mint edition books. By 2080, ACK figured out that this new generation of genetically excelling kids, now no longer preferred the traditional VR headsets. They wanted more! ACK's amazing team of Designers and Market Strategists came up with Hologram Stories. These were 3D stories, made compatible with the new Holphos (Holographic Phones) and Holpads. This was a great innovation, Children seemed to love these. These stories were now in 3D, children now, could interact with the characters, make friends with them, and even carry them around. This made a huge deal amongst kids, they would flaunt these all over their chats. However, ACK now faced another big issue, children didn't wanna read mythology anymore. Parents also weren't interested in the old stories and historical lineage anymore. So, to tackle this problem, ACK now started making stories based on more recent histories. They made animated movies on the cyborg generation, the CATOG pets, the almost apocalyptic meteor, the weird vacuum cleaner crisis, etc. They even made a satire on the attention span issues of 2030, and an informatory documentary on Covid as well. Kids & Parents both loved it, and ACK aced it once again. Stories, I believe will never die, the innate needs of humans to tell, listen, and grow together will remain the same no matter how and what we become. Stories transcend generations, and will always continue to mould, shape and inspire the generations to come. Amar Chitra Katha, indeed has remained "Amar" afterall.
