A second year (or, second time-) of doing a card for the @xpau-official season!! This time, featuring Koda, Ichor, Tulpa, and Pretender!
I like to think that Koda (despite facing gods) is weirded out by the other versions of Ichor, so it's hard to get them to come to events! Tulpa and Pretender have heard a bazillion things about Koda (Ichor's a proud monster,<3) so they're curious to finally meet the little human! Koda was bribed via candy cane.
And! Their sweaters!
Koda: "Ho Ho Holy Shit"
Ichor: "God, Let This Merry Gentleman Rest"
Tulpa: They're just a gingerbread man :]
Pretender: "Gay Apparel"

Since you all seem to enjoy my little life updates, I'm going to give you another little domestic anecdote. My roommate didn't change jobs yet, but she didn't complain about any further violence, and seems to come home from work smiling, so I think she's okay for now! If something further happens, I'm confident she will change her job; she's been telling her boss she'll leave for a while.
Saturday morning I woke up early, so I decided to clean the entire kitchen and then ask the roommate to put up holiday decorations with me. I've cleaned and rearranged everything to make space, and then she woke up and was surprised to find everything neat and nice. I had to ask for her help then; I have a little synthetic tree that someone wanted to throw away, and it can't stand on it's own. So what I've been doing every year is get the biggest pot with soil from the balcony, and stabilize the tree in the soil, that always works! However due to my health issues, I cannot lift the biggest pot. So I asked her to carry it for me – and she did!
She even made sure to position the tree correctly, aseembled it, and commented on how beautiful it was. I thought it was shabby and dingy but I also like it; I like old stuff! She then put up decorations, while I was sitting on the floor fixing the fairy lights – I managed to fix them. She thought I was so smart to manage that, but I convinced her she is just as smart and could do it too.
I don't celebrate the traditional christmas, but I know that the evergreen tree branches brought inside, together with some decorative ornaments, are originally a pagan practice to celebrate the winter solstice. I also know that the advent wreath is originally meant to celebrate the cycle of the seasons, that's why it's a circle, with 4 candles; 2 equinoxes, 2 solstices. I planted some wheat as well, since that feels very pagan and is a symbol of how crops will grow in the summer.
I always bring in decorations from outside, so we had rosehips, some red berries, pine cones, walnuts, orange slices, little stars cut out of orange peels, and then also handmade stuff like origami stars and diamonds, little sown ornaments, and stars made out of straw. I was putting all that on the tree, while she preferred the bright, sparkly and round ornaments, which I also had a few of. So we ended up with a mixed little tree! Half christmas-y, half pagan. I like it, it invokes enough feelings of nature for me to be happy with it, and I don't mind that it also sparkles a little bit, it's not overdone.
I put on some instrumental holiday music to play, and she recognized some of the tunes and then also let her own music play as well! I was singing to it and she said my voice was sweet. While we were decorating she also started to teach me Nepali language, how to introduce myself and how to ask someone how they're doing. I sadly forgot most of it, but I remembered that maya is love, and photolinus means to take a picture. She showed the tree to her mother on a videochat, commenting on how pretty it is, and excitedly introduced me too, as her friend.
Later she made another red-lentil soup and was excited when I knew the name of it was dal! Two people in the comments recognized it as 'dal' soup and I remembered the name. She told me to eat as much of the soup as I want to, and insisted on pouring more for me than I originally asked for, but I was happy since I had focused on the cleaning and decor to the point of forgetting the food. We had a lovely time decorating and eating together. I'm saving it as a happy holiday memory.

Sark took me to the Otherworld art installation in Columbus, OH today, and I gotta say, it was awesome actually!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You can touch absolutely everything, take pictures (no flash) of anything you want. There were a few dozen rooms with various themes, all of them with interactive mechanics, and half of them had puzzles as well. This is what I think people expected that Willy Wonka disaster of an event would be, or something similar anyway, but Otherworld actually delivered really well!!
You get your wristband at the door and then you can take one of several entrances, but all the rooms are interconnected so it doesn't matter which. If no one's told you, you don't necessarily realize there's going to be puzzles, but I realized something was up by the end of our first room, and figured out what it was by the end of the second room, so it's very easy to catch on to, I think.
If you can solve the right puzzles, you can activate the end mechanic for a light and music show! Unlike an escape room, you're not locked in, you can leave at any time, but it very much had escape room vibes. I had a TON of fun figuring out what we needed to do, and watching other people try to figure out what to do.
There was one group of kids (young teens it looked like), who were trying to figure out one of the puzzles and after watching them for a bit, we offered to give them a clue since it was one we solved already. They were so excited to find out it actually WAS a puzzle with an answer. I just pointed out one of the panels to watch and let them go from there and they solved it with a lot of yelling. I hope that they continued solving the rest of the puzzles- we went in the opposite direction, because of the yelling.
In fact, all the kids we saw were having a blast. There were also plenty of adults wandering about. Because of the way tickets are sold by time slots, it should not ever get super crowded, and there were hand sanitizing stations all over, and staff lurking to clean stuff and assist as needed if someone struggled with a puzzle. They were happy to tell you whatever you wanted at the entrances and exits, so you never had to stay stuck if you didn't want to. They've also named the creatures you see.
There was also a Rick Roll in one of the rooms, which was hilarious.
Anyway, super fun experience. If you have the ability to make it out that way, consider checking it out!

happy holidays everyone!!! whether you celebrate or not, i just wanted to take a moment to say i love you guys.
i started this blog during the pandemic and honestly i didn’t know what i would get out of it. it took me a while to make my first post and i never thought i’d be here with all of you who i love so much.
it’s so cringey of me, i know, but i just am a sappy person sometimes so just let me have this moment, i truly can’t believe hockey brought me all of you and these great friendships. i never thought that it would be able to do that, but i love the little community that we have created on here.
although i haven’t been active as much lately because of health problems, i truly am so grateful for everybody here.
for the ones who have reached out to check on me.
for the close friends i have made that i have been able to lean on.
for the people who make me laugh during the live blogs even if i’m not posting.
for the insanely talented content creators who deserve all the recognition and everything the world has to offer.
you guys are a bright light through some of the darkest of days i have had to endure recently.
one might say you twinkle beautifully like christmas lights ✨ okay sorry, i know that was cringey of me. anyways.
@jostystyles gave me this idea of doing the decorate a tree…and while i am not the biggest christmas person - certified grinch over here - though even guest star could tell you i am doing a lot better this year.
i thought it would be fun to do. now it’s not like my actual tree at home with avs pictures all around it at home (yes i made my mom let me do that - if i have to put one up then it is going to be an avs tree) so here’s the link to my tree 💚❤️

"Hell Yeah I Suck Toes: Humorous Gifts and Apparel for Toe Fanatics"
"Hell Yeah I Suck Toes" is a bold and provocative phrase that has gained traction in certain corners of internet culture and social media. This statement is often used humorously or ironically to express an unapologetic attitude towards unconventional preferences or behaviors.
Tumblr media
Buy now:19.95$
The phrase plays on the shock value of openly discussing a specific sexual fetish, in this case, foot fetishism or toe sucking. It's typically used in a tongue-in-cheek manner, aiming to elicit reactions ranging from amusement to discomfort. The casual and enthusiastic tone ("Hell Yeah") contrasts with the taboo nature of the act described, creating a jarring effect that captures attention.
This slogan has found its way onto various merchandise items, including t-shirts, stickers, and memes. It's often embraced by individuals who enjoy pushing boundaries or challenging social norms around sexuality and personal preferences.
It's important to note that while the phrase is often used humorously, it can be considered offensive or inappropriate in many contexts. Its usage is generally limited to informal, adult-oriented settings where edgy humor is accepted.

The popularity of this phrase reflects broader trends in internet culture, where shock humor and the open discussion of traditionally taboo topics have become more commonplace.
Weird joke embarrassing Christmas gifts are intentionally awkward or humorous presents designed to elicit laughs and create memorable moments during holiday gift exchanges. These gifts often push the boundaries of good taste, leveraging shock value and absurdity for comedic effect.
Examples might include novelty underwear with outrageous designs, purposely ugly Christmas sweaters, or gag gifts with suggestive themes. Practical jokes disguised as gifts, such as boxes that are difficult to open or items with unexpected functions, also fall into this category.
Some gifts play on common embarrassing situations, like noise-making toilet paper or books about awkward bodily functions. Others might reference inside jokes or past embarrassing moments specific to the recipient.

While these gifts can be hilarious in the right context, it's crucial to consider the recipient's sense of humor and the setting. What's funny among close friends might be inappropriate for a work party or family gathering. The key is to ensure the joke is well-received and doesn't cause genuine discomfort.
Personalized Christmas gifts add a unique and thoughtful touch to holiday giving. These customized presents show extra care and consideration, making them stand out from generic store-bought items.
Popular options include monogrammed accessories like wallets, bags, or jewelry, and custom-engraved items such as picture frames, cutting boards, or wine glasses. Photo gifts, like customized blankets, calendars, or phone cases featuring cherished memories, are also well-received.
