in a little "what if", Ron decided to send a letter, tell Percy what Umbridge did to Harry in detention and sent proof (a photo of Harry's craved hand)

Percy reads it once, sets down the letter slowly and then decided "nope, time to overthrow this fucking circus to ministry and throw that hag in prison"

next thing Arthur hears is that Percy decked Fudge in the face, let the newspapers print out all his sketchy affairs with proof. it's the scandal of the decade, a massive headache for the auror department, the toad got arrested for "physical abuse, torture of a minor and possession of a Dark object" and the public loudly demands that Percy takes over as minister

Arthur fears it's the Black Family Madness™

hippie pandora this, divine vision plagued/blessed pandora that— THIS WOMAN LITERALLY DID NOT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT HER SILLY LITTLE EXPERIMENTS. i know ppl love to make her out as the soft girl, the one in colorful clothes, bearing happy smiles, speaking encouraging words in soft tones. the glue of the group that holds her boys together and is the most empathetic of the bunch. *WRONG BUZZER NOISE* pandora literally didnt care enough about a literal racially(?) motivated War going on to pick a side. she’s like one of those people that don’t go vote!! T-T she’s privileged and she KNOWS and she doesn’t let her close family do Shit to jeopardize that ‘just to help others’. pandora is very selfish and egotistical! she probably rolled around in her grave when she saw luna befriend harry and help fight in the war. maybe she would be proud at last (once they won!) but mostly i think she probably would have liked to trottle her daughter and lock her in a room where she’s safe. pandora probably wasn’t that good of a person if we’re being real. she was possibly unsafe about her spell innovations, she was a mastermind and a maniac. pandora was a unbelievably talented witch and she actively chose to not be of help in a war. she was a horrible and i looooveee her for it. in this house we support women’s wrongs!!!!!! dont rob her of it<3

I keep seeing this thing where guys swear up and down that they want a good Christian girl, but then balk if that means she wants to be anything more than a wife and mother. Like, my guy, you do realize that there's a lot more to Christian women than being married or having babies? Yeah? What about a woman who works among the homeless, or runs a bible study, or volunteers to teach refugees a new language, or who takes part in the prison ministry, or who spends a lot of her spare time in another city street preaching? I see a lot of guys who claim they want "a girl who loves Jesus" but don't want anything to do with a woman who does more than just go to church and lives a life of active ministry outside of her home.

I don't think I've ever been this reluctant to teach Sunday School in my life, and that's probably because a) I was so burned out by constant and frequent involvement in ministry from my previous church and I'm not over it, a year later, or b) I feel pressured into it. which is bizarre, because it's not like the pastor told me to volunteer. He just asked me three times, because he knew I had leadership experience in ministry, and said they needed people. which. How am I supposed to say no when you tell me there's a need.

I have been cantor at one of the Sunday masses at our local Cathedral since shortly after my conversion, and today our priest pulled me aside and told me he wants me to be music coordinator for the Cathedral.

Please keep me in your prayers, that God might equip me to perform this ministry to His Glory. St. Cecilia, pray for us.

favorite local used bookstore closed down today (owner has been running it a long time and is Simply Tired)

I spent an hour going through the music section and purchased 29 CDs for about $36, including several box sets

here are the ones for me - almost all early 2000s electronic, half individual artists, half compilations

I was recently commenting on a previous post, and I just wanna say that I love how Bellatrix smacks down with everyone in Voldemort’s inner and outer circle, like everyone

Like in the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Lucius has to try to rein in Bellatrix through that whole scene in the Department of Mysteries.

In Spinner’s End, Bellatrix snaps at both her sister and Snape throughout the whole chapter, both about how Narcissa should be honored and grateful that her son is inducted into the Inner Circle and her husband is bashed about being caught and thrown in Azkaban; and Bellatrix smacks down harder at Snape about...well everything.

Fast forward to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Bellatrix basically treats Lucius and Narcissa like they're lower than her; though most likely she's reeling from how Voldemort treats the whole family because of Tonks and Lupin's marriage. But she's pretty rude to them.

Then the Snatchers and Greyback, just yikes.
