Here's to persecutors and similar roles!
Y'all don't get nearly enough appreciation, in my opinion. This one's for you!
Shoutout to:
Persecutors
Perpetrators
Avengers
Angerholders
Traumaholders who deal with their trauma in unhealthy ways
Those who still have loyalty to their abuser(s)
The people who don't necessarily want to stop being a persecutor/similar role, or they're not ready to right this second
The ones who cause harm to their loved ones (internal or external), by accident or on purpose
Anyone else I missed!
You deserve kindness and respect, just like your other headmates do! We've all got things we need to work on, or habits we're not proud of. Give yourself some grace today!
Thank you for being here!

JAMES HUBERTY.
His motive is unclear.Ā  I believe he hated his life, blamed society, abandoned his family and was simply merciless.Ā  Killing children, adults,Ā teens and eldery.Ā  He did not discriminate, race or gender.Ā  He was miserable and wanted the world to feel the same pain, as we all know- misery loves company.Ā  Unstable jobs, killed his own dog, insecure, frustrated, hated his own family.Ā  Antisocial Personality Disorder.Ā  A defected human who should have never been born.Ā Or was Mr.Huberty...a hero? I'm not a degenerated idiot- I'm a specialized criminologist.

the thing that drives me sooo crazy about the jinx/isha/cait/vi confrontation is that for vi, it was a lose-lose situation. either caitlyn misses & accidentally hits isha (child witnesses enforcer violence), or caitlyn kills jinx in front of a child who cares for her (child STILL witnesses enforcer violence). Either situation parallels viā€™s own past trauma. In that moment, it wasnt about jinx (at least not entirely). It was about viā€™s catalyst for violent change about to be recreated and forced upon this child. Caitlyn said she understood how vi felt seeing her parents die, but demonstrated in this moment that she doesnt and literally CANT. caitlyn has never been on the other side or enforcer violence. the child didnt even compute to herā€”isha was just an obstacle to be avoided, not a person that will carry this experience forever. But viā€™s been on the wrong end of a gun. She understood that no matter what, no matter who got hit, if she allowed caitlyn to shoot, vi would be recreating her own trauma. And THATS why she stopped cait

it frankly pisses me off that what is essentially ā€œrapists and abusers should be depicted as monstrous caricatures because humanizing them is inappropriateā€ is considered a very moral and enlightened position to have on art by so many people. a rapist can feel pain, have moments of vulnerability, be amiable and charming, express remorse and compassion at times, be a victim themselves, and so on in real life. they are capable of doing good things. they can have different sides to them and have individuals in their lives that they are kind to or have a decent relationship with. they will be a human being, and that fact encompasses a lot. conflating that with the claim that they are entitled to and deserve your forgiveness or absolution is an issue. nurturing a mindset that believes they need to be one note and uncomplicated to be a correct and tasteful depiction of a rapist inadvertently falls in line with the logic of ā€œhow could they have possibly raped you? they are so normal and kind to me. they did all these good things here and there.ā€ ok that doesnā€™t change that they are a rapist.

by getting botox and fillers and cosmetic surgeries you are actively participating in making the world a more hostile place for the women who choose not to do those things. you are actively applying pressure on those women. you are creating a world where women who donā€™t do those things are told they are ā€œaging like milkā€ because no one knows what a normal, unaltered female face looks like anymore.

Thousands protest against increasing violence against women in Kenya as they march to the parliamentary building and supreme court in the capital Nairobi [Gerald Anderson/Anadolu Agency]
Published On 27 Jan 202427 Jan 2024
Thousands of people have gathered to protest in cities and towns in Kenya against the recent slayings of more than a dozen women.
TheĀ anti-femicideĀ demonstration on Saturday was the largest event ever held in the country against sexual and gender-based violence.
In the capital, Nairobi, protesters wore T-shirts printed with the names of women who became homicide victims this month. The crowd, composed mostly of women, brought traffic to a standstill.
ā€œStop killing us!ā€ the demonstrators shouted as they waved signs with messages such as ā€œThere is no justification to kill women.ā€
The crowd in Nairobi was hostile to attempts by the parliamentary representative for women, Esther Passaris, to address them. Accusing Passaris of remaining silent during the latest wave of killings, protesters shouted her down with chants of ā€œWhere were you?ā€ and ā€œGo home!ā€
ā€œA country is judged by not how well it treats its rich people, but how well it takes care of the weak and vulnerable,ā€ said Law Society of Kenya President Eric Theuri, who was among the demonstrators.
Kenyan media outlets have reported the slayings of at least 14 women since the start of the year, according to Patricia Andago, a data journalist at media and research firm Odipo Dev who also took part in the march.
Odipo Dev reported this week that news accounts showed at least 500 women were killed inĀ acts of femicideĀ from January 2016 to December 2023. Many more cases go unreported, Andago said.
Two cases that gripped Kenya this month involved two women who were killed at Airbnb accommodations. The second victim was a university student who was dismembered and decapitated after she reportedly was kidnapped for ransom.
Theuri said cases of gender-based violence take too long to be heard in Kenyan court, which he thinks emboldens perpetrators to commit crimes against women.
ā€œAs we speak right now, we have a shortage of about 100 judges. We have a shortage of 200 magistrates and adjudicators, and so that means that the wheel of justice grinds slowly as a result of inadequate provisions of resources,ā€ he said.
