General Marcus Acacius

As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky with strokes of gold and crimson, you found yourself waiting on the cool stone steps of your Roman home.

The familiar sounds of the bustling market were replaced by the soft, rustling leaves of the olive trees surrounding the villa- a gentle lulling of the world around you. The warm night air wrapped around you like a comforting shawl, but your heart lay heavy with anticipation.

General Marcus Acacius was returning from yet another raid, and you knew that the weariness etched on his face would accompany him like a shadow.

His salt-and-pepper hair had begun to glimmer under the fading light; it made him look dignified yet exhausted. You could almost picture the proud lift of his chin during battles, followed by the heavy stoop that would settle in upon his return- the price paid for valor.

As the sun finally surrendered to night, a rumble of footsteps echoed through the streets. A moment later, a familiar figure turned the corner, framed by the last hint of daylight.

Marcus. You held your breath as he stepped closer, a soft smile breaking through his fatigue. When his amber eyes met yours, they lit up, chasing away the weight of the world like the dawn banishing the stars.

"Ah, my heart.."

He murmured softly, the deep timbre of his voice wrapping around you like the warm embrace you longed for.

You rushed down the steps, your arms outstretched, and he enveloped you in his embrace.

The rich scent of earth and leather lingered on him, a fragrance that still made your heart race despite the countless times you had felt it against your skin. He pulled you closer, resting his chin atop your head as if that were the only place in the world he desired to be.

"How I have missed you.."

He whispered, a touch of sharpness in his voice. The warmth of his body contrasted sharply with the coolness of the evening.

"You are my anchor, my light that guides me back home."

You stepped back just enough to gaze into his eyes.

“You look tired, my dear.”

You replied, tracing the lines of his face with your fingertips. He chuckled softly, the sound a gentle rumble beneath your hands.

"Each raid takes a piece of me."

He said, sighing a little more heavily.

“But returning to you gifts me a thousand more.”

His fingers found their way into your hair, brushing it back from your face with tender care.

Marcus led you inside, his grip firm yet gentle, as he guided you through the cool, dimly lit villa. He paused only to light the oil lamps, casting a warm glow that flickered like fireflies dancing through the darkness.

The dining table was set for two- a simple yet intimate affair featuring bread, olives, and wine.

You watched as he sank into a chair, the weight of his armor still present even with it cast aside. There was a softness to him in these moments; the bearing of a general mingled with that of a weary traveler seeking solace.

You decided to serve him first, pouring a generous glass of wine and watching as his eyes closed in appreciation with each sip.

"You spoil me, beloved-"

He said, his voice still thick with exhaustion.

You laughed softly,

“Only because you deserve it. Now, tell me of your adventures. Give me stories that I can carry with me until your next return.”

He leaned in closer, his elbows resting on the table while one hand cupped your cheek.

“There was little of glory, love. Just endless days of marching under a sun that felt like fire and nights spent around a cruel campfire. All I could think of was you, waiting for me here.”

His lips brushed yours, tender and warm, filling you with a sweet warmth that spread through your chest. Your heart fluttered with every soft kiss, each one a promise of his return, a soothing balm to the worry that gnawed at you when he left.

“Marcus,”

You breathed, your fingers intertwining with his.

“You don’t need to fight so hard. You keep coming back with tales of valor, but I want to keep you safe.”

His gaze turned serious, and for a moment, you could see the soldier behind his sweet demeanor.

“I fight for our future,”

He replied, wiping a thumb across your cheek.

“I cannot lay down my sword completely while there are threats to our peace. But each victory is more than a conquest; it is a step closer to the life I want with you- a life unburdened by wars and strife.”

You moved to sit beside him, the subtle scent of olives and wine enveloping you both. The night wore on, filled with laughter and sweet whispers, promises of tomorrow, and the warmth that only a love like yours could nurture.

As Marcus rested his head against your shoulder, the weary general finally found peace, wrapped in the gentle embrace of the world he fought for.

It was here, under the glow of the flickering lamps, between tender kisses and whispered dreams, that he became not just a hero of Rome, but the man who was utterly yours.

As you turn slightly, you find Pedro's face only inches away — his features softened by sleep, the corner of his mouth curved into that familiar, playful smile that always awakens butterflies in your stomach.

"Morning, sleepyhead."

He murmurs, his voice a warm melody that makes your heart skip. His words tease, but they spark a grin on your face. You feel his big hand gently ruffling your hair, a familiar gesture that sends warmth radiating through you.

“Five more minutes...”

You reply, your voice muffled as you bury deeper into the pillow and press your forehead against his. You love how the mornings stretch lazily like this, with nothing but the sound of his breaths and the way his body envelops you in warmth.

Pedro chuckles, the sound rich and intimate, reverberating through the space.

“You don't want to get up? You know I can be very persuasive.”

You smirk but don’t rise to his bait. Instead, you nestle even closer, tucking your body against the solidness of him. He laughs again, a hearty sound that sends a cascade of light butterflies dancing in your stomach. His arms tighten around you, drawing you in like gravity, and you can’t help but smile at the gentle teasing that is woven into the fabric of your morning routine.

“Okay, okay, then just stay here with me..”

He concedes, though you can feel the playful twinkle in his eyes even with your head tucked under his chin.

“I guess I can spare a few more minutes for my star.”

You can’t help but giggle at your own words.

“Star? I prefer beloved pillow.”

Pedro pokes you lightly in the ribs, the touch igniting another bout of laughter. His fingers linger, tracing idle patterns on your arm, a gesture that feels intimate in all the best ways.

“Beloved pillow? You give yourself more credit than you deserve.”

You teased, smiling up at him. His soft features and his messy hair were angelic in the morning sunlight.

“Maybe,” he giggles, “but at least I’m a cozy pillow. It’s quite a prestigious role.”

He chuckles, and the timbre of his voice vibrates through you, warming every corner of your heart.

“I agree. A very prestigious role, indeed. I could get used to waking up like this every day.”

You smile and gently move even closer in his arms, the warmth almost suffocating.

The softness of his voice makes your heart swell. You know it's true. The world outside may be bustling, full of flashing cameras and the demanding attention that comes with his fame, but in this moment, it's just you and him — cocooned in your shared sanctuary of warmth and love.

The sun climbs higher, filling the room with more radiant light, but you don’t mind the warmth. In fact, you close your eyes, drifting further into the comfort of him.

He smells like home; a hint of warmth, laughter, and comfort all mixed together. You can feel the light whiskers of sleep still clinging to him, and you relish how tangible everything feels in this innocent bubble.

“Hey..”

He says softly, his voice barely above a whisper.

“What if we just… stayed here forever? Just you and me?”

You smile against him, feeling giddy at the thought.

“I could get behind that plan.”

“You’re my escape.”

He continues, gently stroking your hair as if to calm the storm of the world outside.

“I need moments like this, where life can just be soft and cuddly.”

Soft and cuddly — those words resonate deeply with you. They encapsulate everything you cherish about your relationship. Your bond wasn’t just built on the glamorous life that surrounded him or the flashing lights; it was festooned with moments like this. Wrapped in sheets, devoid of expectations, just the two of you basking in each other’s warmth.

As the minutes stretch on, you gently nudge his arm.

“But… the world outside is waiting for you, there's work to be done..”

You remind him, though you truly don’t want to think about it.

“Let it wait.” he says, pulling you closer. “For now, you’re all I need.”

His words settle into your heart, and you know you’d give anything to stay wrapped around him like this a little longer. So you let the world fade away, surrendering to the bliss of the morning. Cuddled close together, time slips effortlessly into eternity, and in this cocoon of love, it feels like you really could stay forever.

Nos dias 12, 14 e 15 de outubro, o tradicional evento Rock 80 Festival – Circuito Rocktoberfest, irá para a Quinta da Boa Vista, em uma edição especial que celebrará o Dia das Crianças, com espaço aos pequenos, oferecendo diversos brinquedos infláveis, Pula-pula, oficinas de arte, muito rock, cervejas artesanais, feira gastronômica e atrações para toda a família curtir junta. O evento convida os participantes a doarem 2kg de alimentos não perecíveis que serão entregues a instituições de caridade no Rio. Confira no Instagram @rock80festival. Com gastronomia variada, o circuito contará com hambúrgueres artesanais, doces, espetinhos, e claro, as cervejas, que inspiram a temporada dos eventos, apresentando aos cervejeiros de plantão, diferentes rótulos. Serão dezenas de marcas expositoras, em uma oportunidade para que os visitantes apoiem e conheçam gastronomia e cervejarias locais. O circuito sempre atrai os cariocas pelo estômago, fazendo com que ainda se divirtam com muita música. Além de outras Para Fernando Fernandes, as festas em lugares públicos são democráticas, e incluem todos. A Assembleia Legislativa de Santa Catarina registra com pesar o falecimento do ex-governador, ex-senador e ex-deputado estadual e federal Casildo Maldaner, aos 79 anos, no início da madrugada desta terça-feira (18), em Florianópolis. Nascido em Carazinho (RS), Maldaner iniciou sua trajetória na vida pública como vereador pela UDN na cidade de Modelo, no Oeste de Santa Catarina, para onde sua família migrou quando ele tinha 2 anos. Filiado ao MDB, foi eleito deputado estadual nas legislaturas de 1975 a 1979 e de 1979 a 1983. Em seguida, disputou e conquistou a eleição que o levou a ser deputado federal entre 1983 e 1987. Na eleição de 1986 participou da chapa liderada por Pedro Ivo Campos e acabou eleito vice-governador do Estado. Após a morte do correligionário, assumiu o comando do Poder Executivo em 1990, conduzindo o mandato até 1991. Voltou a Brasília como senador na legislatura 1995 - 2003. Novamente em Santa Catarina, presidiu o Banco Regional de Desenvolvimento do Extremo Sul (BRDE). Em 2006 foi eleito ao Senado como primeiro suplente de Raimundo Colombo, que acabou vencendo a eleição para o governo do Estado em 2010. No ano seguinte, Maldaner assumiu o mandato, que cumpriu até 2014. Maldaner deixa a mulher, Ivone, os filhos Josaine, Janiara e Jandrey, além de cinco netos.Fonte: Agência ALESC
