We all know that glass breaking scene in Glass Onion is a visual manifestation of Miles' speech about disrupting at the start of the movie and all but can we appreciate how all the characters who called themselves "disruptors" and claimed to go against the system were the ones that chickened out when shit got serious and Helen was the only one that kept going

look i know i've said it before but sony's ps peter parker truly is the best peter parker. he's such a sweetheart and his game really balances the scrungy little guy and genius aspects of his character perfectly. the dude spends most of the game couch surfing because he gets evicted from his apartment. he leaves tony stark on read. he has zero dollars to his name because he works for doc oc pursuing projects that have the chance of making a real difference to people's lives and not working for oscorp even tho he could get a job there in a heart beat. he's subscribed to j. jonah jamison's podcast and has his suit autoplay each episode. he gets miles a job at f.e.a.s.t after his dad dies because he knows the grief of losing a parent so acutely and knows he needs something to channel that into. and i'm not very far into the miles morales game but even tho he's not even there for most of it, you can tell he's loving having miles as a partner in spider crimes. he's been spider-man alone for 8 years and has clearly just jumped into having someone to mentor. he gives him a suit with knee and elbow pads which is the cutest thing ever. he sets up training sims while he's away to keep up with miles' training and fills them with puns and does silly vulture impressions during the final stage. like how can you not love him? he is the superior peter parker and that's a hill i'll die on.

not negating anybody's experience i know black sails is outstanding regardless of how or when or how quickly you watch it. but also, as a gay person who watched it in real time, you really had to be there. they introduce anne bonny and you know your pirate history so you KNOW she's a girlliker. she has a moment with max but youre not sure where it's gonna go. because it's 2014. you wait over a year for 2x01 and she and max fucking obliterate you with the sword drop kiss scene. all anybody is talking about in the tags is vaneeleanor. a few weeks later 2.05 drops and flint is not only textually gay and kissing a man but he is waging war on england, on all of civilization for taking away his male lover. you find this out after investing fourteen hours on this show that have spanned over a year and a half in your real life. not to mention the miranda stuff and silver's arc and mr scott and madi and the death march that seasons 3 and 4 feel like when you have no inkling of how it's gonna end. but you stick with it regardless because it's good and besides it's 2014-2017 and the only genre show with gay people in it is fucking... the 100? lol anyway. more gay people flock to black sails between seasons and the tag becomes more about the gay shit than vaneeleanor, thank fucking god, finally. you all dread the last season. you brace yourselves for the worst. you thank the stars this show airs weekly because watching even just two episodes together is too overwhelming. 4.08 airs. you cry. 4.09 airs. you cry. 4.10 airs. your life will never be the same. you cry so hard you catch a fever and have to stay in bed all week to recuperate. you know this was a once in a lifetime experience never to be repeated again but you can't help but hold every other show to this impossible standard.

why are the shields grouped with the swords. parrot didn't mention anything about them fighting with the other civs so maybe they allied with the swords??? or the other groups also send them there as punishment??? but the first one is probably more likely because shields can't do damage they can only defend. also sword and shield imagery ya know.

(side note: i am So Glad guard friend "raymond" pvpciv doesn't know shit lol. my guardbo heart couldn't take it if he was yet another person that betrayed evbo.)

and why the fuck can't the swords use multiple items!! is it like a trade off with the whole netherite thing?? they can become immortal but they can only use said source of immortality as a weapon. does that make sense i hope it makes sense.

the memory loss!! if players aren't spawned into their civilizations and are instead spawned out into the world, maybe swordciv wipes their memories so they don't want to leave. but that in turn just makes their lives a living hell because they fight each other AUGH. just don't make an economy y'all don't make your society have to pay for shit with the very thing you need to live </3
