look i know i've said it before but sony's ps peter parker truly is the best peter parker. he's such a sweetheart and his game really balances the scrungy little guy and genius aspects of his character perfectly. the dude spends most of the game couch surfing because he gets evicted from his apartment. he leaves tony stark on read. he has zero dollars to his name because he works for doc oc pursuing projects that have the chance of making a real difference to people's lives and not working for oscorp even tho he could get a job there in a heart beat. he's subscribed to j. jonah jamison's podcast and has his suit autoplay each episode. he gets miles a job at f.e.a.s.t after his dad dies because he knows the grief of losing a parent so acutely and knows he needs something to channel that into. and i'm not very far into the miles morales game but even tho he's not even there for most of it, you can tell he's loving having miles as a partner in spider crimes. he's been spider-man alone for 8 years and has clearly just jumped into having someone to mentor. he gives him a suit with knee and elbow pads which is the cutest thing ever. he sets up training sims while he's away to keep up with miles' training and fills them with puns and does silly vulture impressions during the final stage. like how can you not love him? he is the superior peter parker and that's a hill i'll die on.

As Square Enix changes it's strategy from focusing on one platform to aiming for multi-platform releases, I wonder- how much effort does it take to do multiplatform dev from the start versus porting to them later? And even then- how long DOES it take / cost to make to make a port from a comparative platform like say, PS5 to Xbox Series? Is there a way you can use your experience in the industry to guess an average, or is it completely different from game to game and you can't make any estimations without WAY more data? I guess I'm just curious why SquareEnix released 15 for all formats to greater sales than either XVI or VIIremakes, but still decided to go PS first, others way later down the line.
The good news is that the PS5 and the XSX aren't too far away from each other in terms of hardware power and architecture. Further, developing on XSX also mostly works out of the box with DirectX, which means it is easy to also get the game running on PC. It's relatively easy to build a game out of a generic system and task our engine programmers with getting that generic system working on each of our target platforms.
Tumblr media
The difficulty in multiplatform development comes from trying to get the same generic system to run on drastically different hardware power profiles or architectural differences (commonly known as the Nintendo problem). If we have a game that assumes the player's hardware have at least 16GB of RAM and an 8-core 3.5GHz CPU and we suddenly have to fit that game into 4GB of RAM and a 1GHz 4-core CPU, we've got to make a lot of drastic changes in order to get the game running at all. I'm fond of saying that porting PS/Xbox games to Nintendo hardware is trying to get an entire Honda Accord to fit inside a Mini-Cooper.
Tumblr media
The general rule when estimating the cost of making a change is how early during the process the change is made. The earlier in the process the change is made, the cheaper the cost of the change. Making a change to a movie before it's cast and shot is much easier and cheaper than making a change after the filming is complete. Making the decision for a project to go multiplatform from the jump means that the entire project will be built with maintaining multiplatform stability as a major goal. This means that further decisions will be made with that goal in mind - the team might spend those resources elsewhere instead of optimizing for certain platform-specific hardware features.
Tumblr media
As for why Square-Enix decided to go platform exclusive with FF16 and the FF7 Remakes, it is likely that Sony offered them a seemingly-better deal. Most third party publishers get a standard deal with the platform - the platform takes a 30% cut of all of the game's revenue, the game must pass certification, the platform gets some kind of exclusive content for that version of the game, and so on. If the platform wants to get an exclusive, they offer a better deal than that - maybe Sony agrees to pay for some of the marketing of the game, maybe Sony takes a smaller cut of the revenue, maybe Sony waives the certification costs on the publisher's next five Playstation games, and so on and so forth. These concessions and incentives are certainly worth considering. Sometimes they work out well for the third party, like Insomniac's Spider-Man games. Sometimes they don't.

I really wish that Sydney sweeny was black cat cause i think her and tom Holland would have great chemistry. I mean I liked zendaya but its time for a new love interest for Peter parker and felicia hardy is perfect for him. Either way I hope tom returns as spider man. Ps that should've made a black cat movie with Sydney as the lead, she would've been a perfect choice
You don't fool me Anon, but I'll bite....
Take a seat.... cuz this is gonna be LONG. I had time today.
Firstly, MJ IS the love interest for this MCU version of Peter Parker. Sorry to disappoint you Anon. 🤷🏾‍♀️ People who keep wishing for Peter Parker to have a different or "new" love interest for Peter Parker make me give them the side eye. Especially when I KNOW they weren't saying this with Andrew and Emma's Peter and Gwen love story. 😒
Second, if there's any villain that I think Sony is possibly looking to introduce into the Spiderman universe, it's more than likely Venom. 👀 They even hinted at Tom Hardy's Venom character possibly crossing over and being introduced into Tom's spidey at the end credit scene of NWH. EVERYONE would like to see a Spiderman/Venom film done correctly. To me, that's the villain that's most anticipated tbh.
But lastly, even if Sony is thinking of introducing Felicia Hardy/Black Cat, I actually would LOVE to see them cast Tati Gabriel in the role. 👀 I know she's not white or blonde, and I know she's worked with Tom before in "Uncharted", but just go with me in this vision here....
Tati is VERY good at playing a convincing villain, while still having a measure of sex appeal, which is definitely needed for the Felicia Hardy character. Not only that, but Tati actually has a martial arts background. 😏
I just don't understand this push for Sydney in this role honestly. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Is it the blonde hair and the boobs? I don't get it. I mean, she's not the only blonde-haired actress out here lol. 😅 I don't even see this "excellent chemistry" you all THINK Tom would have with Sydney lol. I'm just not seeing it, sorry.
I've joked here on my blog many times before that Tom is a "DAYASexual" lol 😆 🤭 He only has eyes (and chemistry) for Zendaya lol. 👀 🤭
I just haven't seen Tom having all that much chemistry with his other female costars honestly. Sorry. 🤷🏾‍♀️ And there's nothing about Tom or Sydney's personality that leads me to believe that they would just have the most amaaaaazing chemistry on earth if they ever did a film together.
Honestly? So far, Tom has the best onscreen chemistry with Zendaya. 😊 I liked his scenes with Ciara Bravo, but again, nothing to write home about as far as chemistry goes imo. 🤷🏾‍♀️ I'm not even gonna talk about the nonexistent chemistry he and Daisy Ridley had on their film CW together lol 🤭
Even Tom and Sofia didn't really have that much chemistry to me in "Uncharted". It's a shame they cut out that little deleted scene though.... they had pretty good chemistry in that scene, not sure why it was taken out.

Console Wars Are Stupid...Change My Mind.
It really boggles my mind that in current year something that is as stupid as arguing about "what game console is better" is still a thing. I honestly though we were past this but no. I saw either a video or a picture that was related to Helldivers 2 saying something like "we need reinforcements, we need our Xbox players" and people in the comments were like "We don't need no fucking Xbox players. If they wanted to play this game, they'd get a fucking PC or PS5 and join us" and it's like why do you have to be so immature about a video game??? I also saw some comments that's basically a trade of like Xbox players get Helldivers 2 when Playstation players get Halo, as if a game like Helldivers 2 is actually worth Halo but like I have not played Helldivers 2 and I don't really care to at this point.
The point is that all of this just seems really childish and immature to me. It's also kind of interesting too. It seems to me that Xbox players like PC players, Playstation players like PC players but Playstation players absolutely HATE Xbox players with a passion and then you have Nintendo players in their own little world, doing their own thing.
I know that this is going to sound like the most insane thing ever to some people but like, people just want to play games regardless of what they're on. I think it would actually be cool if PS players could play Halo and/or Forza and if Xbox players could play Spider-Man, God Of War etc. I understand that both Microsoft and Sony want exclusives because that's what sells consoles but like, I think that's going to become more and more irrelevant, especially when both sides are pumping games on to PC so that PC players get the best of both worlds. But why not let PS and Xbox consoles also have the best of both worlds too?
Again, I realize that this is a wild idea to some people but, like I said, people want to play games so why not let them without having spend hundreds to have all the current consoles and a PC and I think that is just over the top to expect people to do.

Bunlar ortasında Ghosts of Tsushima, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Dave the Diver, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart üzere imaller var. Daha test sürecinde olmasından ötürü hudutlu sayıda ülkede ve oyunda denenmesi epey olağan. Webteknohttps://hepsigundem.com/playstation-portal-nihayet-gercek-bir-el-konsolu-oldu-artik-ps5-olmadan-da-oyun-oynanabilecek/?fsp_sid=2389#Belli #Oyun #Oyunlar

Mais single-player! Ghost of Yōtei é apenas o começo, diz Sony
Por Vinicius Torres Oliveira
Tumblr media
Confira o trecho divulgado no site oficial:

a detail i love in the miles morales game vs the ps4 spider-man game is the difference in web slinging. in the ps4 game, peter has been spider-man for 8 years. he's well established as spider-man and is comfortable in his powers. he knows how to web sling and how to drop into a roll to distribute momentum after landing a fast swing that sort of thing. so when you're playing it feels super smooth and has a balletic/gymnastic element to it. his movements are very practised. he's graceful. but playing as miles, it feels totally different. he flails and his legs and arms go skew whiff as he swings through the air. sometimes he crashes out of swings, stumbles and falls because of the momentum. you totally feel like someone who's just learning their powers and doesn't have that practised ease yet. it's such a cool detail to have that's particularly noticeable when you're playing the games back to back.

God of War Ragnarok PC Release Date Announced!
God of War Ragnarok Pc Possible Release Date
August 20, 2018, saw the release of God of War for the PlayStation 4. Fans of Kratos couldn’t start his epic God-slaying escapades on PC until January 14, 2022. When it comes to the expected time it takes for PlayStation titles to be officially released on PC, that translates to approximately four years.
Tumblr media
Although GoW: God of War Ragnarok PC Release Date has not been officially confirmed by Sony, there is a very good probability that it will. There is a strong likelihood that Ragnarok will join this group given Sony’s strong commitment to providing AAA titles for PC releases like Days Gone, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Uncharted, and the two Marvel’s Spider-Man: Morales games. Hermen Hulst, the president of PlayStation Studios, also stated that popular PlayStation games may be ported to PC at least a year after their first release.
Having said that, it’s possible that GoW: Ragnarok may grace PCs at the earliest on November 9, 2023. However, it’s possible that Sony will make GoW: Ragnarok available on PS Plus in November 2023. This suggests that the release date for the PC version might be pushed back to the first quarter of 2024. One of the PlayStation executives made a hint about it, but let’s not get our hopes up just yet.

PlayStation 5 Sales Surpass 50 Million Units
New Post has been published on https://thedigitalinsider.com/playstation-5-sales-surpass-50-million-units/
PlayStation 5 Sales Surpass 50 Million Units
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sony has announced that the PlayStation 5 has hit a sales milestone of over 50 million units. It achieved this milestone just over three years into its life cycle.
Since the console’s launch in November 2020, over 50 million consoles have been purchased as of December 9, 2023, according to a press release. In July, Sony announced the PS5 had sold over 40 million units, meaning that roughly 10 million more consoles were sold in just the last 4 to 5 months.
[embedded content]
The holiday season is likely a big contributor to this bump. Additionally, the October release of the much-anticipated PS5 exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (now the fastest-selling PS Studios game ever) undoubtedly drove players to pick up the console.
The milestone is a nice way to cap off a busy 2023 for Sony. It launched new hardware with PlayStation VR2, the PlayStation Portal, and a smaller redesigned PS5. It also boasted marquee third-party exclusives such as Final Fantasy XVI and, for a few months, was the sole console home of the critically acclaimed Baldur’s Gate 3.
It’ll be interesting to see how the console’s momentum fares going into 2024. So far, Sony’s first-party output consists of The Last of Us Part II Remastered arriving in January. Announced third-party exclusives include Final Fantasy VII Rebirth in February (GI’s latest cover story) and Team Ninja’s Rise of the Rōnin in March. We’re curious to see what else Sony has up its sleeve as the next year progresses.
