How to 'end the Russia-Ukraine War within a day.'
US President-elect Donald Trump Peace Plan or Peace Talks in Europe.
Creation of an 800-mile demilitarized zone between Russia and Ukraine, patrolled by European troops, with Russia retaining its territorial gains (20% of Ukraine: Crimea and the Donbas region made up of Donetsk and Luhansk) and Ukraine pledging not to join NATO for 20 years. Ukrainian President Zelensky has condemned the plan as "suicidal for Europe."

The first phase of the proposed 90-day plan would pause the fighting so Hamas can release all Israeli civilians being held hostage. In exchange, Israel would release hundreds of Palestinian prisoners, withdraw forces from Gaza, allow free movement in the region, stop surveillance with drones and double the amount of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip. During the second phase, Hamas would release female Israeli soldiers and give bodies back to Israel, which in turn would release more Palestinians. The final stage would entail the release of the remaining Israel Defense Forces soldiers and men of fighting age that Hamas considers soldiers. Israel would also redeploy some of its troops outside the Gaza Strip border, Egyptian officials told the Journal.
This would be a definite step forward to returning peace to the Gaza Strip.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin claims to be "carefully studying" a peace plan. Of course, Ukrainian politicians have responded angrily. But even this misses the point.
Why has Putin repeatedly mentioned peace plans and negotiation recently? Because after 17 months of war, Russia has not only failed to win, but now has to fend off Ukrainian attacks around the occupied territories.
The Ukrainian counteroffensive is struggling, no doubt. And the Russians have resorted to obscene tactics in order to slow down Ukrainian progress: blowing up the Kakhovka Dam and backing out of the Turkey-backed graine deal.
All of this will not change the fact that Ukraine is encroaching on Russian-held areas, exposing Putin to the possibility of another shock defeat such as the chaotic expulsion of Russian soldiers from Kharkiv province last autumn.
In fact, the more obscene tactics Russia uses, the more energised the Ukrainian resistance. Many of us predicted this from the beginning. As I have said before, Putin has not read history properly: every previous attempt by Russia to rule over Ukraine has ended, either by war (the Russian Empire) or by popular vote (the Soviet Union).
Putin has to know by now, given the number of pro-Putin Russians who have been fired from his government or have suddenly died, that total victory in Ukraine is impossible. He has to have known this ever since Russian soldiers withdrew from around Kyiv last year, because he responded to that withdrawal by claiming that he had never intended to seize Kyiv, but was merely preparing for the 'real' battle in the Donbas.
This was a pathetic lie, of course, designed to save face. Putin had invested in an early victory by seizing the Ukrainian capital within five days. He totally failed, and that failure is obvious even to Russian propagandists.
Naturally, Putin cannot and will never admit to defeat, especially not the Soviet-style Afghanistan humiliation he has caused in Ukraine. His only option is to facilitate a withdrawal that allows him to save face and cast himself as a moderate who could have pursued the war, but instead chose peace. The only way for Putin to save face is to leave the conflict with Ukrainian guarantees not to join NATO (and possibly not the EU), and if possible, with recognition of the four Ukrainian provinces he annexed last year.
It may be that Putin hopes his peace plan talk will entice the international community to put pressure on Ukraine to end its counteroffensive in order to facilitate negotiations. If so, then such a gamble only demonstrates the Kremlin's concern about any possible Ukrainian gains and how these will be perceived among Putin's supporters.
As the war drags on, a stalemate and/or negotiation becomes increasingly likely. But Ukrainian adviser to the Head of Office for President Zelenskyy, Mykhailo Podolyak, claimed on Twitter that the Russians 'refuse to talk to us'.
It should be noted, however, that Zelenskyy himself closed down negotiations with Russia in around April last year, especially after the atrocities in Bucha, and later said that negotiations with Russia are impossible under the current "president".
(Despite fighting a blatantly totalitarian regime, Zelenskyy still referred to Putin as a "president" and claimed in an interview with the Washington Post last year that all or most Russians had voted for him, when Russian elections are just as fraudulent as the Russia-backed "referendums" in Crimea, Zaporizhzia, Donetsk, and Luhansk.)
Nonetheless, Zelenskyy is right to note that Russia must change politically, which is one of the demands that Podolyak noted as a Ukrainian condition for peace. Here they are in full: '1)- Get out of Ukraine; 2)- Change the political elite; 3)- Admit war crimes; 4)- Extradite the authors of the war to the tribunal.'
Of course, Ukraine's demands mean that Putin, his government and allies (Belarusian dictator Lukashenko) will have to be removed from power and put in front of of a war crimes tribunal (as well as much of the Russian army); he will have to confess to his war crimes, including the deliberate bombing of Ukrainian civilians and conspiracy to commit forced depopulation and deportation, and he will have to surrender all of the territory he has stolen from Ukraine since February 2014.
Sadly, it isn't likely that Putin will end up before a war crimes committee.
The recent attempted mutiny by Wagner Group terrorist Yevgeny Prigozhin, however serious the mutiny really was to the Kremlin, still indicates that Putin has many enemies in Russia. I doubt he would make it long enough out of power to be able to visit any tribunal, let alone the International Criminal Court. A foundational reason for Putin's continuance of this failed and outrageous war is to protect his power. Yes, this war is also about greed and imperialism, but even if neither of those two reasons existed, Putin would still have launched this war.
Dictators need war to survive. Putin wouldn't be in power today if it weren't for war. But war is the very means by which dictators have collapsed. Putin has gambled everything and has very little to show or himself so far. He therefore talks peace to save face and maintain legitimacy. Everyone who supports freedom should make it clear that Putin has none.

Putin might agree to freeze the conflict along the Line of Contact in spite of prior rhetoric against this scenario in the event that Trump threatens to escalate the conflict as punishment if he doesn’t. Trump’s pledge to resolve the Ukrainian Conflict in 24 hours is unrealistic, but he’ll inevitably propose a peace plan at some point in time, thus raising questions about what it would look like and whether Russia would agree to it. More than likely, he’ll seek to freeze the conflict along the Line of Contact (LOC), wherever it may be by that time, as he’s not expected to … Continue reading →

Putin Advocates for BRICS as a Counterbalance to Western Influence at Kazan Summit
Putin Champions BRICS as a Counterweight to Western Influence During the closing session of the recent BRICS summit, Russian President Vladimir Putin extolled the group’s significance as a counterbalance to what he termed the West’s “perverse methods.” In his address, he accused Western nations of attempting to undermine the rising influence of the Global South through a myriad of tactics,…

NU UH
Jack Fenton, dialed his younger sister's phone number as he gazed apologetically at the family of bats, that was hanging around in his living room. he impatiently waited for the other party to pick up.
The Bat family remained stoic as they observed the man, they had or Batman had ordered to put the call on speaker, if ever the phone was answered, Robin had stared at the doorway leading to the kitchen there stood Jack's supposed oldest daughter Jazz. who only stared amused at her father's antics much to Robin's confusion.
finally after a grueling 10 seconds wait, the call was finally answered.
Robin held his breath awaiting for the voice he was expecting for.
"Yes, Ahki?" Talia's voice resonated, from the phone. making everyone's eyes except the Fenton family widen.
'what? mother never told me she had a brother.' Damian thought as he took a peek at his father's face who was scrunched up in confusion. same for the rest of his family.
"Talia, my dear ukht, I've heard from a few birds and bats that you have taken my son. on his fieldtrip." Jack said, his nervous and outgoing personality vanishing and what took place was a serious and angry tone of a father as soon as heard the caller's voice, making everyone in the room shudder at the sudden cold atmosphere while the oldest daughter remained composed and unbothered as she watched.
Silence came from the other side of the phone, before answering "It seems i have." Talia answered back, you can here the voice of a boy in the background asking if it was his dad.
"Stop with this false innocence of yours, bring my son back immediately, partly alive and safe." Jack stated, much to the Bats and birds confusion.
Silence once again, as the phone remained quiet seemingly put down on a table with a few whispers and shuffling. before it was picked up once again.
"Nu uh." was the only thing Talia said as she hang up.
everyone paused.
"The fuck you mean 'Nu uh'?!" Jack yelled, at his phone. While his wife walked their daughter's side who was laughing her ass off, confused she looked at the bats then at her husband and then just sighed.
"Dinner's Ready." she only said as she retreated back at to the kitchen.

I posted recently about Vladimir Putin's claims to be studying a peace plan. In this post, I noted that the Ukrainian side had laid out its own four-point plan.
As I said last month, it is now likely that the war in Ukraine will end in stalemate or negotiation. According to the short summary above, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is likely to propose a ten-point peace plan at the United Nations General Assembly in New York next month.
In the plan, Zelenskyy is reported to demand Russian withdrawal from Ukraine and a release of all prisoners of war and deportees.
Ukrainian officials will also discuss the status of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant.
I have already explained why Putin needs to be seen to be examining peace plan options; he needs to save face, as it is abundantly clear that Russia cannot win.
As far as Ukraine is concerned, it is possible that Ukrainian officials are once again discussing peace plans because:
The Ukrainian counteroffensive is visibly struggling
Because Russia pulled out of the Turkey-backed grain deal, Ukraine faces income shortages and neighbouring European countries such as Poland have placed bans on importing Ukrainian grain to avoid undercutting their own farmers
The Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant would be seriously endangered by fighting between Ukrainian and Russian soldiers
Some Western allies may struggle to continue providing weapons as their stockpiles are depleted, and at least one (Britain) has not committed itself to providing F16 planes
Ukraine cannot join NATO (or the EU) while in the middle of a war and facing severe economic damage
It is also worth noting that until the war ends, international prosecutors cannot initiate any war crimes investigations.
A negotiated settlement may therefore be unavoidable for Ukraine, especially if this war does not finish by the end of 2023.

Someone on reddit posted a pic of the concept art characters from the DATV artbook and I'm just...so tired and disappointed.
We could have had Calpernia as a companion, not even mentioning Imshael.
This clearly shows that they initially - in whatever iteration of the game it is - cared about incorporating aspects of previous games. Imagine having Calpernia, Harding, and Imshael as companions and not having them comment/acknowledge the events of Inquisition! Imagine Calpernia talking and giving insight into Corypheous or Samson, or arguing with Harding in banter! Imagine Imshael talking about Michel deChevin or complaining that the Inquisitor stabbed them! Not to mention the other concept art that had Dorian and Isabela interacting - try making anything like that happen without acknowledging DA2 or DAI!
Can you imagine having all these characters in the game, then having the nerve to drop 'the south of Thedas is blighted and destroyed now lol' in a letter? No!
We live in the worst timeline with DATV - a game that utterly watered down, sanitized, and obliterated everything that came before it. A game that removed all mystery and intrigue, condensing it to "solas and the ancient elves did it lol' - telling us with no gravitas, bluntly stating it with the subtly and care of a fucking dragon in a tea shop. A game that, with no shame, went scorched earth with Ferelden, Kirkwall, and Orlais with the sole intent of clearing the board so that they can cultivate some new IP with the existing Dragon Age name.
What a fucking waste.
