do you have any dsbm recommendations for someone who’s just getting into it? you seem to know your stuff lol

i’d suggest you start with some of the more popular projects such as lifelover, nocturnal depression, happy days, xasthur, kekht arakh, apati, psychonaut 4, sadness, ghost bath, none, dyster, no point in living, an autumn for crippled children, planning for burial, alcest, white ward, shining, forgotten tomb, hanging garden, drowning the light, harakiri for the sky, i’m in a coffin etc.

and then depending on what genre you like best (blackgaze/doomgaze/narcotic etc), you can find less popular ones. my favorite underrated dsbm projects are: sorry…, minute of agonia, left alone…, moongazer, deadlife, austere, angor animi, sacrimoon, soulless, kanashimi, bonjour tristesse, eufori, this white mountain, thy light, an open letter, photophobia, from sunset forest & grief, exiled from light, ofdrykkja, autumn nostalgie, so much for nothing, melancholic despair, archurahl, aversion to mankind, thy pallor, deadspace, worthless life, the angelic process, intig, finally happy, xójira, hurt, beyond melancholy, hopeless, lunedi, i shalt become, neurosexxx, make a change… kill yourself, blade and bath, decalius, abduction, aara, afsky, aoratos, coldworld, darkenhold, darkher, havukruunu, morkera, nordicwinter, old silver key, panopticon, pure wrath, saor, selfdestroyer, seth, wormwitch etc.
