This is a very silly and cliché rambling, but honestly I think that out of all cartoon characters Princess Bubblegum resembles Athena the most when in terms of personality.

Both of them are very intelligent and lots of inventions from the universes they live in are credited to them. Both of them are authority figures in one way or another (Princess Bubblegum being the ruler of a kingdom, whereas Athena being the Patron of Athens) and both of them are beloved by their citizens. Lastly, both of them are connected to heroes. When Princess Bubblegum isn't the one to be saved, she usually acts as a wise figure/voice of reason towards Finn and either gives him weapons created by her or new tasks. Meanwhile Athena helped and supported lots of famous heroes, including Perseus, Heracles, Diomedes, Odysseus etc.

However, both of them have a dark side that many Adventure Time Fans and Greek Mythology Enthusiasts respectively either don't acknowledge or choose to overlook.

Princess Bubblegum presents a kind, good-hearted and polite personality at the very first sight. And yet, throughout the episodes her malicious and temperamental layer becomes more and more obivious every time someone is crossing her. She's a perfectionist, and every time she doesn’t manage to acomplish something she immediately gets frustrated. She's very competitive and over-confident, which makes her overlook the consequences of her own actions sometimes. Only when it's too late she starts to feel quily and criticize herself. The more pissed off she is, the more ruthless she could become, even if that means unnecessarily harming other people in the process. She also values logic and science over her moral code, which is the main cause of her low emphathy and even sadic sense of humor in disturbing situations.

Athena, on the other hand, is presented as a stoic, wise and just deity most of the time. She's supposed to symbolize civilization and the rational, learned aspects of the human psyche rather than the instinctual parts of the human nature. A very common take approved by many people also states that she's representing the strategic side of war, whereas Ares represents the violent war. For all that, she also proves in certain Greek Myths not only that even the wisest figures can make mistakes, but also that her wrath can become very visible (and very dangerous) every time someone is challenging or getting on her nerves. She's also very competitive, which is clearly presented either in the myth of Athens or in the myth of Arachne. She's insecure about her looks, which is why she threw her own invention (the flute) from Mount Olympus after the other gods started to make fun of her, or why she is present during the Judgement of Paris. Finally, she's secretely enjoying the brutal aspects of war just like her brother. The only difference is that she's better at hidding her aggressive, blood-thristy nature than Ares. But that doesn’t mean that she didn't show this side of her as well. She can become impulsive and merciless and would do anything to win, even if that means leaving hundreds of innocent people to die. My goodness, she's absolutely terrifying in the Iliad! At the same time, she also had her own moments when she realized her mistakes and regretted her decisions. The very first example that comes to my mind right now is one version of the myth of Arachne where she turned her into a spider out of pity after she tried to kill herself, or when she gave Tiresias the gift of augury after she blinded him.

So it's really intersting to observe that two seemingly different characters actually have way more things in common other than their intellect. I just wish people would stop erasing their complexity and be aware of their greatest flaws instead of portraying both of them just as quirky nerds.

Challenges? Do tell what the nurse would be witnessing if Tarn was less isolated from the rest of the Deceptacons. Say Tarn and the DJD were transferred to the Nemisis or the Peaceful Tyranny crash on Earth trying to pick Megatron.

If mandatory meetings in the "office" were a thing, the DJD needed to haul ass to wherever Megatron planned it, then Nickel and the Camien wouldn't appreciate the finer points of 'con culture, especially with their dumpster-fire of a healthcare system that really needs fixing before they crash and explode.

Hook, a perfectionist he may be, has his own filing system that's a monstrosity that could give Tarn pointers.

As a Camien, you're no stranger to challenges, and you expected similar bouts, albeit more violent, especially with similar struggles over resources.

You didn't expect the gratuitous gore to come with sheer waste of everything and no common sense on preventative measures.

You and Nickel have been "spoiled" by the DJD's solid teamwork, which is a far different direction from the rest of the troops. It's "every mech for himself" taken to an extreme competitive sport level or something to bring corporate tears to the patron of billionares.

You thought Tarn's weirdness was just him. Apparently, Decepticons are a bunch of extreme weirdos on a pain and gore scale.

Funnily enough, more rumors would arise should this happen, you will become a legend, a cryptid, a powerful entity of unimaginable force, you're only trapped and impeded by a standard frame and back-to-back carriages. (Which is another another mindfuck for the faction since it's Tarn's.) Otherwise, what other miracles or monstrosities would happen, especially under the DJD...

You (and Nickel) managed to update Overlord's medical files, including his firewalls, hardware testing, oil change, rust checks, and all the finicky and little, yet important things that keep a mecha running smooth and healthy.

And with it, you get Overlord's attention, and Tarn isn't pleased at all.

Yeosang has this kind of duality. When you just met him, his shy and also a bit awkward, meeting new people it's not his forte nor it's to demonstrate his feelings or thoughts. So it might be hard to get to know him at first, but time will work its magic and oh my goodness, wasn't it worth it, because when he's comfortable he truly shines. He'll throw the sassyness and the salvageness right back at you, he'll probably agree that banter it's a love language!

The Bridge ! 

The cocktail that won this years Patrón Perfectionist competition,

INGREDIENTS:

50ml Patrón Silver

50ml Rhubarb cordial*

30ml Fortified wine blend (2 parts Martini & Rossi Ambrato vermouth to 1 part Cocchi Americano)

30ml Tomato water**

1ds Salt solution

Garnish with tomato and rhubarb leather***

INSTRUCTIONS:

Combine all ingredients with ice in a shaker and throw to chill. Serve over ice in a highball glass and garnish with tomato and rhubarb leather.

*Rhubarb cordial: 1.1kg trimmed rhubarb; 1l water; 450g caster sugar; 10g malic acid. Separate the rhubarb in four bags with water, vacuum seal them, and sous vide for 1 hour at 60C. Squeeze the bags to break the rhubarb, then blend everything together. Centrifuge at 4700 rpm for 20 minutes at -8C or strain with a coffee filter multiple times. Strain, add sugar, heat the juice, and bring the sweetness to 35 on a Brix meter. Add malic acid.

**Tomato water: 3kg cherry tomatoes. Blend tomatoes and strain through a coffee filter to collect liquid.

***Tomato and rhubarb Leather: 150g leftover tomato solids from the tomato water; 220g tomato sauce; 92.5g sugar; 50g water; 20gr pectin NH; 2 full spoons of rhubarb solids; 6g citric acid; 5g malic acid; drop of oil. Blend everything together and bring to 40C. Mix Pectin NH and sugar together, add to the mix then blend. Bring mixture to 90C for 5 minutes. Add malic and citric acids to the mixture and blend again. Allow the mixture to cool down then, while still warm, spread a thin layer on an oven tray covered with cling film. Cook slowly or use a dehydrator at 45C for 4 to 5 hours. Remove from oven or dehydrator while it is still elastic before it becomes too hard.
