I'd like to direct your attention to a passion project that dropped 4 days ago, but looks like something straight out of 2010 YouTube: Harry Potter and the Stone, a shot-for-shot (2 hour 30 minute long) spoof remake by someone called Doggie House.

Featuring:

A fully-bearded 11-year-old (the baby version was also played by him),

Two Dumbledores for no stated reason,

This guy as the snake in the zoo (and many other animals portrayed similarly),

The greatest portrait gallery of all time,

and Hagrid on a tricycle.

Many of their locations are handmade miniatures with actors greenscreened in front, and the way the editing ensures that absolutely NOBODY looks like they're actually walking around (rather, just...slithering in place, and somehow being propelled forward regardless) makes for some of the funniest and most engaging crowd shots I've ever seen.

The dedication to the amount of editing, set-building, and sheer commitment to the utterly bizarre makes me so happy to see; I love grand-scale passion projects!

Interspecies adoption isn't easy....

In this slice-of-life fanime, Xiu Stein works hard as a single father for six unique feline children: the rambunctious tiger-cub Tantan, shy Russian blue Pavel, the rare and exceedingly needy tortoiseshell tom Sondy, the sweet amnesiac kitten Min, reliable big sister the four-eared Angel Ears, and Sy, who is an adult but for legal reasons cannot live alone. Join him as he cleans up hairballs, dead bird carcasses, and cat puke. And in this episode specifically, Angel Ears grapples with the monumental task of...getting through the morning!

These meetings always drag on for what feels like centuries.

His council drones on about something Astarion can’t be bothered to follow. It’s a bad habit he’s developed as of late, tuning out what he doesn’t deem important. Luckily, one of his advisors will catch him up on the essentials later.

Poor Astarion can’t focus to save his life, too swept up in the delectable aroma filling his lungs and the gentle shift of pressure behind him.

A glance disguised as a cough over his shoulder reveals what he already knows. Of course, it’s your fragrance turning his brain to mush. His stunning, ever-loyal bodyguard, standing in good form behind him. Your gazes meet for the briefest of seconds before you return your attention to the wall, and you quietly clear your throat. 

Astarion hides a youthful grin behind his hand when he turns back. His chest swells triumphantly as he taps his pen against the cherrywood table, feigning interest in this meeting. He’s much too distracted now, reveling in how he’s flustered you again. Always during the most inappropriate moments, wending through your stoic exterior.    

Try as you might to mask your feelings, Astarion can smell how you yearn for him. Smells pheromones wafting off your skin, blood warming your veins, and your ache for him pooling in your stomach. Best of all, he can hear how much you crave him. Your throat bobs with how thickly you swallow. Your breaths are labored, and your heart pumps eagerly to accommodate whatever nerves overhaul your body. 

Astarion fixes his collar with a wistful sigh. He cradles his cheek in his palm as he scribbles in his notebook, engulfed by the maelstrom of his thoughts. Consumed by the thought of you.  

He hasn’t the foggiest why you continue with this game of cat and mouse; why you carry on as if your fingers don’t itch to touch him. As if your lips don’t ache to feel and taste his. Like your heart doesn’t beat a little faster when he’s near. He’s adored you for quite some time now. Reserved a place in his cold, silent heart just for you, the cobwebs brushed away and sunlight slinking in through its cracks.

He hasn’t exactly been subtle with his advances.  

Often, he’ll whisper saccharine words against the shell of your ear when he passes you during his gatherings, a cautious hand smoothing your hair away from your cheek. He’s known to pilfer little glances at you during his meetings, smiling like an enamored fool when you catch him, saturating his mind with endorphins.

He tends to corner you in the safety of his quarters, caging you between his body and whatever wall you find yourself backed into. Breathes hotly against the slope of your shoulder, teasing you until your neck and cheeks explode with heat, and you’re dizzy from the headiness of it all.

Occasionally, his fingers brush against yours whilst walking side-by-side through the quiet hallways of his castle. And sometimes, he entertains the idea of holding your hand, filling the spaces between your fingers with his, and squeezing to let you know what he feels for you is very much real.   

You become such a delightful sight when you scramble for words and skitter away from his affections like you’ve been branded by fire. 

It's a game Astarion likes to play, seeing how far he can push you until your defenses crumble and you succumb to your desires. There’s no one holding a sword to your neck. No one demanding you stave off his advances or embrace them. But he knows that you know he would throw his kingdom to hell for you, craving you more than the air filtering through his lungs.

He shudders at the thought. How violently his passion burns. It’s been far too long since he’s felt like this about anyone.  

The gathering carries on in a muddled blur, filled with the useless prattle of his kingdom’s finest. He’s all but remorseful when it draws to its conclusion.

Astarion stands to bid his councilmen farewell, smiles rehearsed and handshakes firm. He’s found it easier to maintain this façade as long as he promises to reward himself with your presence. He watches through his peripheral as the last of his men trickles out. Patient as the maids scuttle in, clearing the table of water pitchers and glasses dripping condensation.

When he’s sure there is but the two of you left in the council chamber, Astarion heaves a sigh with the drop of his shoulders as if all the world’s weight sloughs off. The snicker you relent to the air behind makes him stiffen. He spins ‘round to regard you with a quirked brow, wiping the amused look from your face.

Rounding his chair, Astarion begins sauntering to you, steps measured and stare predatory.

“Tickled, are you?” drawls your king, swaddling you in all his eccentric, regal air when he stops before you.

He dwarfs you by a few inches, a concept that makes him smirk like the proverbial cat that’s caught the canary. A hand stuffed in his breeches pocket, he tenderly eases a lock of hair behind your ear, purposely grazing the edge of your ear. A shudder is elicited from your person, and Astarion’s smirk grows tenfold as his hand drops listlessly at his side.

You shake out of your trance, fixing your gaze on anything but him. With your hands still clasped at the small of your back, you say, “Not at all, Majesty. You just look like you survived the apocalypse.”

Astarion scoffs, throwing his hand up with a dramatic flair. “With how these idiots carry on, I might as well have.”

Another laugh rumbles in your throat, yet you quickly correct yourself, remembering your decorum.

racism towards filipinos

after winning the war against spain and becoming apart of the U.S. because of the Treaty of Paris, the Philippines became a huge part of the U.S. however, instead of being looked upon as an equal, filipinos faced racism from americans for being “uncivilized” and many believed they were dirty and carried many diseases. they were mocked in newspapers & comics for being different and faced so much unnecessary hate, all leading back to asian hate in america. STOP ASIAN HATE.

Hello there fellow Disney fans, here's another update onto my "The Wishing Kingdom" rewrite, so here I created a little poster for a bit of promotion and just to get you an idea of what it is going to be: from the poster alone, my version is going to be about the REAL origin story of the famous wishing star with some scrapped elements included like the villain couple, a star boy, the idea of writing your wish on a tree, the village where people ran away from the villains and many more, and with this rewrite, I want to celebrate 100 years of Disney by showing you why it has made such a big impact on all of our lives!

Originally I wanted this to be half animated, half animatic but for some reason this is now going to be half written, half animated which means that in some sections I'll post some chapters with some sections of animation like the musical numbers and in some chapters, the scenes would be fully animated, so I'm looking forward to putting my foot forward into this!

During that time, it was taken to rewrite and redesign the main villain couple, King Magnifico and Queen Amaya, in the movie, I noticed that he had a tragic backstory which wasn't needed in terms of how far Disney villains go, but with a villain couple, they have a completely different story.

All Magnifico and Amaya wanted as their motivation is power, this was because they made a wish to become sorcerors who held all sorts of magic, but the stars rejected it as they feared that their magic would release the dark void which was used to suck all the power from the stars leaving them to slowly dissapear in the darkness, in response to this anger, they went to a cabin where they learnt incantations from a book, but there was one that gave them the power to become the sorcerors they always wanted to be, and with that power, they used it to create the kingdom of Rosas and anytime a few people came to the kingdom, they're immediately brainwashed into thinking that the couple's magic could be useful to grant their own wishes, for better and for worse.

During the story, they don't start off as powerful at first since when they are fostering Princess Asha, they keep their powers a secret by telling her the same story as to how they grant wishes for their people, kinda like they are gaslighting her in a way into believing that they can make other people's wishes come true, but as it progresses we get to see their true colours as to why they were hiding this power in the first place, it was a case of revenge from the star kingdom as they couldn't grant their own wish, with this, it kinda ties with the theme of despite having your wish come true being positive and happy, there is a dark side to it as well, and no matter what happens, you should have faith in yourself to make it come true.

Also, their villain song "This Is The Thanks I Get" will undergo 2 versions, the rewritten version and the rewritten reprise, I feel like the reason for this is because I want to try and give the essence of a true tribute to the villains of the past and the present, the title should be "Our Command" and the context shall be revealed in a few days once I get to it.

Calling all science students and enthusiasts!!

I would absolutely love to have a science-revolving passion project and I’ve narrowed it down to a blog/blog-type-website. I love learning about science but so rarely take the time to actually research the things that interest me. With being a high school student, exams and life this is quite a big task to handle for 1 person and I’d love others to contribute to this!

This is by no means a set plan yet, I’m just sharing a rough idea, so if you could please interact with this post or dm me if you would be interested in something of this kind. Even if you see this 5 months after this was posted (and hopefully a working project or at least WIP) still reach out if you’re interested.

You don’t have to be a great writer for this either nor fascinated about each and every science. My favourite is chemistry, but it would be nice if this project could incorporate the 3 main branches of science: biology, chemistry and physics. It depends on if people would be interested in reading something like this or participating in, and their preferred subjects. You could write about astronomy as a whole, or go into chemistry and analysing electronic configuration, talking about your favourite dinosaur bones in palaeontology, a passive behaviour analysis in psychology, or explaining how exactly scabs work in biology. These would probably be short to mid-length entries and 1/2 times a month.

But this is just my idea and how far I’ve gone with it, feedback is appreciated, there will be more updates to come (not too many until afer my exams in May tho), and I appreciate any reblogs to share this idea with others!

Hopefully a couple people would like to help out in this project and please ask questions if you have any (as a dm or ask) ^^

AFTG TFC Audiobook Auditions

Hello! If you don't know I'm doing a fun passion project of reading the aftg trilogy! (This first audition is for the foxhole court!) However I don't have enough vocal distinction for all the characters! So for the last couple of days I've been holding essentially auditions for most of the characters! I've had two amazing people send in some stuff to me and 3 others message and I'm really excited but I'm looking for more people ! If you're interested or curious, message me! There's also this post of the initial announcement that says what I'm looking for and which characters are auditionable! "Audition" causes a sense of pressure but truthfully it's more like 'which characters are you interested to voice?' and then i send you a list of lines you can read from and you send me a recording of your take on the character(s)! I sometimes give direction so if you wanna try again you can! but it's a very chill process in my opinion, no pressure or worries ^^ So please dm me if you're interested! Currently working on my EAH multi-part video essay (which might be split up into separate videos before releasing a combined version with all the parts together), and Part 1 is me dissecting some of the lore regarding Destiny and the system around it, but my subsection on the Storybook of Legends is unhinged due to me losing my sanity over it.

Like, I'm mainly just covering the show, but the lore regarding this book is driving me absolutely insane. I fucking hate it here. I am losing my god damn mind.

stop asian hate

long before the chinese exclusion act in 1882, there has always been hate towards asians in the U.S. since covid, the amount of hatred asians have had to face had surged and asian hate crimes have risen in the past years. According to NBC News, the hate crimes have risen 339% compared to 2020. i hope those who feel superior and racist towards asians wake up and realize that they have no right to hate someone and harass, commit crimes against, and bully people purely based off their race. the world is an ugly place, but it doesn’t have to be. i hope they realize that no good will come from hating on asians, and the racism in the U.S. needs to end. i pray for those who have been victims of the hate crimes and that there will be a time in the future when we can all be accepting and loving of one another while not ignoring the fact that we are different, but embracing it and living in peace.
