So here is the full pick of this week's Doodle Hell. This time featuring a OC of mine that I have been kinda obsessive over since their conceptualization.

Chapter 1, The original Kasi:

No context here just.. Some drawings of the original Kasikah featuring her hubba, Rudy Williams (Goober who is missing a eye).

This includes:

A Sketch of what normal Kasikah is supposed to look like.

Her just... loafing like a cat? (Phoraloxes can do that apparently)

Idk just some wholesome garbage bcs we more of that where the he'll I'm going.

& a "Hehe >:3" moment lol.

Chapter 2, Uh... a more accurate depiction of what Kasi!Phen looks like (Phen 228/The Boiled One but with Kasi's attributes & bits of her personality)

MMMMMMM YEH MORE SPOOPS AHHAHAH. (& yes I know I have Kasi!Phen legs but for the most part they don't hab legs, instead he be melted on the floor, being stinky, & waiting for the time to steal yur spine.. THE PHENLINGS NEED TO EAT SOMEHOW!)

A portrait of that spine stealing sleep paralysis demon.

Im just not gonna explain this one. Does this have any true importance? Eh not rlly I just wanted to draw Kasi as the child stealer from that horror series on YT about some demons taking over earth by telling ppl to [REDACTED] themselves with info that is way too complex for the human mind itself.

Silver vs. Uwuver. Uwuver is the “softboi precious bean Uwuver cinnamon roll” interpretation you see in the fandom and large parts of IDW (IDW Silver is more based on Archie and Ghosts of the Future Silver than the games in my opinion).

The more “wet and pathetic” loser variant of Fandom Silver is what I like to call “Shiver the Hedgehog” who is less “cute” and more of a joke/flanderization on him being stupid, pathetic and having a nasal voice (Thanks English voice department). Both are the products of dubisms, misinterpretation and hyperfocusing on Silver being young and naive while not realizing anything else about his character. Possible Silver/Echidna/Ancient connections

In Sonic Chronicles The Dark Brotherhood there is another tribe of echidnas called the Nocturnus Clan. The Nocturnus Clan was incredibly technologically advanced and nearly conquered the world thousands of years ago before they were trapped in another dimension with powerful alien races by an entity called the Argus.

This game and the stuff in it is considered non-canon now due to legal issues that we are definitely not here to talk about but it was canon when it came out and different echidna tribes are referenced in Sonic Frontiers. The ancient portal technology in that game is also similar to the gear themed technology used by the Nocturnus Clan. So there's hope of Nocturnus or a rewritten version of them still being canon. Silver has many similarities to the Nocturnus clan and their creations.

Silver is visually similar to Imperator Ix, the leader of the Nocturnus Clan (Especially the cuffs which are similar to Silver's)

The patterns on Silver's gloves and cuffs are also similar to the ones in Nocturne and the Cyberspace Portals in Sonic Frontiers.

The convex patterns on Silver's cuffs can be found throughout Nocturne.

Silver's front quills have a similar structure to the head crests of the Gizoids created by the Nocturnus Clan.

The big quills on the back of Silver's head are similar to the tentacles that Chaos and The Ancients have on the back of their heads.

Silver's big quills seem to have blood vessels? He puts bandages on them in Sonic Channel artwork and gets blood stains on them in IDW. Maybe they are tentacles?

Sonic Team has foreshadowed connections with visual similarities before. In Shadow The Hedgehog before you find out that Shadow is part Black Arms you can see throughout the game that the Black Arms have red patterns like Shadow and in Sonic Unleashed before you find out that the Werehog is a portion of Dark Gaia you can see that Dark Gaia monsters have the same stretchy arms and attack patterns as the Werehog.

One of the alien races trapped in Twilight Cage with the Nocturnus Clan in Sonic Chronicles called the Voxai has psychic powers like Silver. They have the psychic ability to fly like Silver and control minds.

One of the leaders of the Voxai named Leucosia has the same colors as Silver's powers and patterns similar to Silver's PK Marks.

The only named place in Silver's (good) future that we've seen is Onyx Island in Sonic Rivals. Onyx Island is actually the future version of Angel Island which is the home of the Knuckles Clan, The Master Emerald and Sky Sanctuary. Sky Sanctuary also has advanced ancient technology and patterns similar to the ones on Silver's gear.

We don't know how connected to Onyx Island Silver is but it is the first place we see him after the reset in 06.

This could just be because of his powers but Silver is very upper body oriented. He never kicks like Sonic and Shadow do. Whenever Silver does get physical he always punches things which makes his fighting style more similar to Knuckles and the echidnas than his fellow hedgehogs.

Cyber Sonic's eyes are similar to the eyes Silver has in concept art.

Nope!! He was being a tease paired with him really wanting the reader to rest but she was being insistent. So he kind of just said if you want it so badly, put in the work.

brainstorming how i want to approach the abilities elise gets tapping into some of iblis' power! as the story progresses, she'll learn her fear of herself is what fuels the flames trying to consume her, and it takes a little encouragement/self confidence to channel it into something she's able to use the way she'd want to!

her inhibitor rings work similar to shadow (i wonder who had the papers to fashion something similar?) in that it keeps most of that raw power at bay--because while fire-wielding runs in the royal family, none of them had a very angry half of a god sealed inside of their soul, and without those rings elise would very quickly become consumed by the flames of disaster.

YES YES YES SHADOW REPRESENTS THE PAST AND SILVER REPRESENTS THE FUTURE BUT THE REVERSE IS ALSO TRUE. shadow gives up being stuck in the past and tries to move on from his grief of maria and the tragedy of the ark and looks towards the future for hope. silver continuously comes to the past in hopes of changing his future, effectively stuck in the past in the most literal way possible.

It really is a shame that the only sonic games I can think of where silver had a prominent role in the plot are arguably the two worst games in recent memory: 06 and forces

The first time we met was not at this cafe. It was on the beach. I knew it all this time but I never told you. Back then, even when you praised me for my drawing which made me pursue my dream and get to this point, I've been the one who felt like I always liked Fumiya.

My last post made me want to spin the ballet au to suit the general cast, keeping Es as the protagonist 🩰

I don't have art for this one but I still got a bit carried away with the details LOL This definitely leans more into a sweet fix-it :3

The story would open with Es waking up in the medical room of Milgram Dance Academy, a very small and isolated school. Es is told they suffered a bad head injury during a performance, resulting in amnesia. Their instructor (Jackalope. Make this work however you wish.) tells them not to worry about it, and to focus on their dancing for now. Es feels a pressing responsibility to stay and rehearse, so they agree.

Jackalope tells them they must understudy several roles while recovering, not ready to jump into things right away. They're grateful, since they're struggling with their identity and expression without their memories.

The first student they are directed to is a shy and lanky dancer by the name of Haruka. They study under him as the role of a graceful, melancholic swan. They watch the choreography in general, and it looks nice enough. Es proceeds to spend several rehearsals with him, talking and bonding and learning he has a bit more going on than meets the eye. They try to offer help as he admits to familial issues, self esteem questions, and comments about sibling jealousy. In turn, he teaches Es to mimic some of his powerful emotions. At the end of their time together, they both perform for their class in full costume and staging. Now, Es understands each move with a deeper understanding than their initial look at the steps.

Next, they’re sent to meet the bubbly girl playing Juliet and begin the process anew. This continues to make a total of ten roles. Some of the dancers take the sessions kindly, while others are brash, secretive, or just confusing.

After rehearsing with Kotoko and learning to understand her determination and confidence, Es is sent back to Haruka, who has moved onto a new show and new role. They’re shocked to discover that their words to each dancer – always well-intentioned – had caused some issues backstage. Now, there are rivalries and changes in stage presence. While experiencing stress (that Es has inadvertently caused,) some were distracted in rehearsal and got injured. Es must take on the interpersonal issues as well as the choreography challenges.

I don’t have all the roles down and was trying to stick to well-known shows anyway, but I think I’d want Muu to be the Sugar Plum Fairy, Kazui to be Albrecht from Giselle, and Amane to be Clara. I wanted to keep them traditionally gendered to prove there are plenty of roles for men, but I can’t help but have Odette/Odile thoughts for T1 Mikoto ;-;

Like the other post, I'm equally tempted to have the dancers performing ballet adaptations of the mvs 👀 I want to see. Bee tutu. Doctor coat costume. Marching band tutu. AKAA mismatched look. The backgrounds. The music. The choreo. So many cool possibilities...

As a sweet au, it all ends with everyone better for having met one another. Es is cast in a solo performance, combining everything they've learned both emotionally and technically from the others. They feel satisfied with their sense of identity, and shine onstage ✨️✨️✨️
