Boosting Pre-Primary Education Success with Parental Power
Are you a parent of kids who is worried about their pre-primary education practices? The early years are a critical window for a child's development, and the role of parents is paramount. The foundation of a child's educational success is laid long before they step into a formal classroom.
Pre-primary education plays a vital role in nurturing this growth, but it's important to remember that a child's first and most influential teacher is often their parent. Empowering parents for effective pre-primary education practices is not just beneficial; it is essential. It also helps in creating a good bond between the child and parents.
In the blog, you will learn more about empowering parents for effective pre-primary education practices in detail.
Why Empowering Parents Matters
Many parents may experience uncertainty regarding their child's pre-primary education. They may wonder how to best support their child's learning at home or how to bridge the gap between what happens in the classroom and their daily routines. Parents are concerned about their kid’s education at home. They think about how they can help educate their kids in the best way at home. Empowering parents for effective pre-primary education practices deals with these concerns by:
1. Building Confidence
When parents gain a comprehensive understanding of child development milestones and effective learning strategies, they become more confident in their capacity to support and foster their child's growth. This knowledge gives them the confidence to create enriching learning environments and engage in activities that promote their child's cognitive, emotional, and social development.
As a result, they can play a more active and informed role in their child's early education, positively impacting their overall development and readiness for future educational challenges.
2. Enhancing Collaboration
When parents feel empowered with the right knowledge and resources, they are better equipped to communicate and collaborate effectively with teachers. This empowerment enables them to actively participate in discussions about their child's progress, share insights about their child's needs, and support the educational strategies implemented by teachers.
3. Extending Learning Beyond the Classroom
Through an understanding of the curriculum and learning activities implemented at school, parents can effectively tailor their efforts at home to create engaging and complementary experiences that reinforce their child's educational journey.
4. Fostering a Love for Learning
When parents show excitement and eagerness to learn new things, their positive energy and enthusiasm become infectious, inspiring those around them, including their children, to also assume a love for learning and exploration.
Strategies for Empowering Parents
1. Education and Awareness
Workshops and Seminars
Organizing workshops and seminars on child development and early education can provide parents with valuable insights. Topics such as the importance of play, language development, and positive discipline can be covered.
Online Resources
Creating a repository of online resources, including articles, videos, and interactive modules, can help parents access information at their convenience.
2. Practical Guidance
Activity Guides
Providing parents with guides on age-appropriate activities can help them engage their children in meaningful ways. These guides can include simple games, reading lists, and craft ideas that promote learning.
Routine Building
Assisting parents in establishing daily routines that incorporate learning activities can ensure consistency and structure, which are vital for young children.
3. Community Building
Parent Support Groups
Facilitating parent support groups where experiences and ideas can be shared fosters a sense of community. These groups can meet in person or online, providing a platform for mutual support.
School-Parent Partnerships
Strengthening the partnership between schools and parents can lead to more cohesive educational experiences. Schools can organize regular meetings and involve parents in the decision-making process regarding their child's education.
Addressing Common Challenges
Despite the best intentions, parents often face challenges in implementing effective pre-primary education practices. These challenges can include time constraints, lack of resources, and limited understanding of child development principles.
Empowering parents for effective pre-primary education practices means acknowledging these challenges and providing practical solutions.
Time Management
Offering tips on time management can help parents balance their responsibilities while dedicating time to their child's education. This could include integrating learning activities into daily routines and setting realistic goals.
Access to Resources
Collaborating with community organizations and libraries to provide parents with access to books, educational materials, and toys can bridge resource gaps. Additionally, creating online platforms where parents can share and exchange resources can be beneficial.
Continuous Learning
Encouraging parents to continuously educate themselves about child development through books, courses, and online content can keep them informed and motivated.
The Final Note
Empowering parents with effective pre-primary education practices is an essential step in ensuring that children receive the best start in their educational journey. By providing parents with the knowledge, resources, and support they need, we can help them build the confidence required to foster their child's development at home. This empowerment not only enhances the learning experience for children but also strengthens the bond between parents and their children.
Through education and awareness, practical guidance, and community building, we can address the common challenges parents face and offer practical solutions. In the end, investing in empowering parents for effective pre-primary education practices is a crucial aspect of early childhood education. It lays a solid foundation for children's overall development and prepares them for the challenges ahead. As we continue to support and empower parents, we pave the way for a brighter and more successful future for our children.

I wasn't going to derail the disability pride month post for people with peanut allergies but in relation to that topic
I have never seen another allergy that has been so viscerally hated and mocked by people working in education like nut allergies. I've seen fellow teachers cringe that their classroom was the "nut free" classroom that year. Support staff that are trained and willfully don't follow cross contamination protocol in the lunchroom because it's too "tedious" or "time-consuming". Full preschools + childcare centers that refuse to accommodate nut allergies. Schools where the only free lunch is a PB&J. Before/after school programs and summer programs whose food curriculum has nuts and doesn't provide an alternative activity.
Allergy discrimination is so so insidious and prevalent. It's happening behind their back and it is everything from the exposure joke to possibly causing someone to go into anaphylaxis from willful ignorance.
Also other parents in the classroom are guilty too. The "not my child not my problem" brain rot means that those lunchboxes are like bombs for airborne exposure allergies
#disability tag#for clarity i don't have a nut allergy but i've had many students that do#teaching tag

#''oh we dont have the funding to support autistic kids'' you recieve funding from the government and the catholic church#AND make parents pay through the nose to send their kids there what do fucking mean you dont have the fucking funds#its craaaazy. my old private catholic school didnt have ANY spaces for kids with extra learning/sensory needs. even though they were#actively taking students' ndis funds. so you know. jsut stealing the money thats for supporting their disability#so even with all that money they didnt have any facilities or learning support#BUT MY NEW PUBLIC SCHOOL????? best fucking learning support ive ever gotten. they have a whole block dedicated to special classrooms and#rest spaces. this is a PUBLIC SCHOOL and a lot of the people that go there are from a low socioecenomic background. and it somehow has much#better supports than the rich private school. like what the fuck. that doesnt make sense#actually it does make sense and the explanation is the FUCKING ABLEISM in the private school system. so much for the compassion catholics#are supposed to have. you're really great servants of god you fucking assholes. stop suspending my friends for being autistic

Okay okay, I see at least one person is interested in my new OC (which is almost like as the previous one lol... But they are definitely from different timelines I would say) so.
(forgive me Percy/Oliver or Percy/Penny or Percy/Audrey fans)
Please love and favor
Riley Ellis Chandler
Muggle-born witch (I haven't figured it out yet, but probably her parents are either office workers, or one of them is an elementary school teacher), Hufflepuff student (because I love Hufflepuff and probably all my characters will be from this house)
Speaking about her, she has a rather boring character, a stereotypical girlish nature, I would say. Feminine, polite, diligent. She needs reading glasses because she (like probably many Muggle-borns after learning about the world of magic) read a lot. And that's why she's well-read (Although she is reserved and does not try to answer all the questions in class, often doubting whether she remembers this or that fact correctly) and her eyesight is ruined, lol
She was a member of Flitwick's Toad Choir in her first and second years. She has a pet toad named Bean... She later realized that music was not her thing and became more interested in the main subjects like Charms and Transfiguration.
In her fourth year, she started a reading group within the confines of her house, reading extracurricular books to those who wanted to read and helping younger students with their homework. In fact, because of such efforts to try to support newcomers in the first and upper years, she received the Head Girl badge in her fifth year.
Despite getting good grades in her theoretical classes, she is terrible at anything that requires practice. That is, flying lessons, Divination (though she still likes the atmosphere of Astronomy Tower), or care of magical creatures are difficult for her.
She most likely did not participate in the events of Hogwarts' defense, but kept in touch with the students from her house whenever possible to know about their safety.
Maybe after Hogwarts, in the future, she tried to work in the Ministry of Magic. But I see her eventually becoming a Muggle Studies teacher at Hogwarts.
The few sketches I have with her and a little bit about her and Percy:
She entered in the same year as Percy Weasley, so they are about the same age (maybe Riley is a couple of months younger than him), But I see it this way: they met somewhere in their third year, perhaps accidentally paired up in a joint Gryffindor and Hufflepuff class.
But most likely their communication would become closer in the fifth year, since I see that Riley is also a prefect. (And I said that they are very similar to my previous hp oc, Tracey. But I will write about this at the end) So it's obvious that they would see each other more often simply because of their duties. Well, and somewhere by the end of the fifth year they would most likely have... Just gotten together, I think
Most likely, in the fifth year, Percy will appreciate Riley's activity with her reading club, and eventually this small company will be replenished with a couple of students from Gryffindor.
So you understand, I see them as a very calm couple of two responsible people. Where Percy has a lot of responsibility and is more often nervous (because he is trying to show authority), and Riley is more calm, who sometimes lets the students get away with minor misfires, trying to evaluate the situation not only from the point of view of the rules, but also from the point of view of personal opinions
I think it was Percy's initiative that their relationship was hidden at first (in the style of hiding in empty classrooms to just talk about the day, hold hands and be alone. That's innocent teenage romance... There's already a headcanon that despite Riley's short curly mullet, Percy would claim it could still be braided. And since he still has a little sister, he can do it. He probably finds stress relief in playing with his girlfriend's hair... Ahem), so that his brothers wouldn't find a reason to joke about them. I think it was also revealed in the end because of Ginny. Or Ron.
Of course, eventually this will also get back to the twins, and until graduation, Percy and Riley will be making sweet little remarks about their sugary couple. This irritates Percy, but Riley finds it funny.
Riley probably has a generally non-confrontational relationship with Percy's family (I'm sure the twins asked something along the lines of "why would such a cutie choose a stale cracker like you, Perce?") So I think the moment Percy distanced himself from his family, he distanced himself from her as well.
But after the war for Hogwarts, after everything they had experienced and rethought, they would have been able to gradually come together again. Percy would have tried to get her a job at the Ministry, but in the end it just... Didn't work out. Although I think he would support her in her professorial work, it seems that a long-distance relationship (due to the fact that Hogwarts professors, as I understand it, live on the school grounds the entire school year) suits them.
A compilation of headcanons about them that I discussed with @pockysfluffiez
Speaking of my previous OC Tracy Thorens. I think she's more of a Cursed Child years old than a Harry Potter years old, and maybe she could technically be related to Riley. (Perhaps she could have had a sibling, or cousin, who didn't have magical powers, took a new last name, started a family, and Thorens could have been... Riley's niece, or cousin niece)

❄️❄️❄️
Before your school’s winter break there were always parent-teacher nights. It was to go over the kids’ progress as the end of the semester was nearing and give families ideas and resources to use over the break to support them however they needed. They were done over two nights of an open house where the parents were able to go through the school the way their kids did and spend about ten minutes in each classroom. If anyone wanted a longer time to talk, there was still about ten days before the break started to set up phone calls or smaller meetings.
There was a pretty good turn out, especially because the school offered activities and pizza dinner for the kids in the gym. Turns out teenagers are extremely happy to make snowflakes, decorate cookies, make cards, and eat tons of pizza.
About 15 out of your 100 kids didn’t have anyone come that night, but you got email requests for phone calls or sent them out yourself to the forgetful parents and made a note to check in with those kids the next day.
One student whose parent you were pretty surprised to have not seen was Sarah. Joel was super involved usually, even volunteering to do things around the school that no one had asked him to do. The first night you thought he was coming the second night but on the second night he was nowhere to be found. You were a little miffed to be honest. Even though Sarah was in a very steady place in school, you thought it was good for all of the parents to know what was going on from the teacher. And maybe you thought he’d just want to see you, too.
As you drove home from work, you hoped you could just hurry out of your car and into the house without seeing either of them, because you were annoyed and you didn’t think it would help. For the hundredth time you cursed yourself for not having finished clearing out all of your moving boxes from the garage so you could park there.
Just as you were locking your car, almost to your front door, you heard your name being called from not too far away. You hesitated, almost pretending not to hear him, before you stopped and turned around.
Joel was jogging up your driveway but slowed down into a quick walk and smiled as he saw you waiting for him. It only took a few seconds before he was in front of you, his handsome face and sweet smile only melting your resolve to be annoyed a little bit.
“Hi.”
“Hi, do you need something?” you asked, not rude but not as nice as you usually did.
“I wanted to say I’m sorry for missing the parent-teacher night. Well, nights. Hell, I kinda wanted to come to both if it meant being around you in an adult setting,” Joel said, smile not gone but more earnest now.
“Why didn’t you come then?” you said bluntly.
“Work emergency, I—”
“You had a work emergency both nights?” you were a little incredulous.
“Well, yeah. A client I’ve worked with in the past had someone crash a car into their house, a kid’s friend drunk off his ass, and we’ve been working nonstop to get the hole fixed so they have their home ready for them. Especially this time of year with the cold and the holidays, we’ve worked 12 hour days for them. Just finished and got home,” Joel explained and suddenly you felt horrible for being annoyed.
“A car in their house? 12 hours? Oh Joel, you must be so tired, don’t even worry about the parent-teacher night, we see each other all the time, I can tell you things any day. You finished all that work in two days?” you asked, thinking about those poor people and poor Joel and everyone else working so hard.
Your expression of concern was so sweet that Joel had to shift his weight and swallow before answering, hoping he’d be able to keep himself in check, “Well, it wasn’t in their house, just hit it. Everyone’s okay. But that’s what I wanted to talk to you about. I do want to hear what you have to say about Sarah’s class and everything you’re doing with them, so I thought maybe we could talk over dinner? Friday?”
“Oh, I mean, I don’t want to take up your time, the talks were only about 10 minutes long,” you hedged, not knowing if it was a good idea to spend that much time with him, even with Sarah there.
“Then we’ll do the 10 minutes and then talk about something else. C’mon, I make a mean lasagna, Sarah can attest to that,” Joel assured you.
“Okay, then. Should I bring garlic bread? A salad?”
“I’ve got the salad covered, but I’ll never say no to garlic bread.”
___
You arrived at 6:30 like the two of you had planned, with the garlic bread in tow. You hadn’t warmed it up just in case not everything was ready at theirs, figuring you’d just pop it in the oven while you helped set the table or something. Aside from anything, you were actually pretty excited for this meal. Since it was just you, you didn’t cook things like lasagna almost at all.
It took about a minute for the door to be answered and you were met with a slightly breathless Joel.
“Sorry about that, I had just started washing my hands and didn’t think I’d be able to open the door with them covered in soap. Come on in,” Joel grabbed the garlic bread from where you were holding it in front of you and gestured to the coat hooks, “You can put anything there you don’t want with you. Thanks for bringing this.”
You hung up your stuff and then started following him into the kitchen, “No problem.”
“And I’m also sorry that Sarah’s soccer practice ran a little late so I’m only just now getting the lasagna in. But we can talk about her school now and other stuff while we’re eating, right?” he said as he covered the lasagna in foil.
“Yeah that works,” you looked around a little, “So where’s Sarah?”
“Oh, um, she got invited over to a friend’s so it’ll just be the two of us. Is that alright?” Joel checked as he put the lasagna in the oven and started a timer.
It was definitely not alright. Sarah was supposed to be your buffer, to keep you from fraternizing with him. Especially since all you could think about when you looked at him was kissing him or touching him or those strong hands touching you. Or more…
It also didn’t help that you had told your best friend at work, Kate, that you were having dinner at their house but that it would be totally above board and professional and not against the rules in any way. Then she had said that there were no rules about being involved with a student’s parents. That there had been a teacher who got married to his student’s mom and they were still together now.
Not that you wanted to marry Joel. At least, not beyond the way anyone would want to marry a sweet, strong, caring, and handsome single dad. If they were into that sort of thing.
“Yeah that’s fine,” you said, knowing you sounded a little strained.
“This way you can tell me what you really think about her,” Joel joked. He had finished wiping down the counter and starting the dishes soaking while you were thinking. Now he washed his hands as he continued, “How she mouths off in class or sneaks into the bathroom to smoke cigarettes.”
You laughed, “No, she’s more the type to put pins on my chair or steal cookies from the bake sale.”
Joel dried his hands and stepped closer to you, “Well, you do have the best chocolate chip cookie recipe.”
“This is true,” you agreed with a happy smile.
He took a step closer, “Terrible about the other thing though.”
It took a second to bring your attention back to his words from the lips that were speaking them, “What other thing?”
“The thumbtacks,” his voice low and it really didn’t sound like he was thinking about thumbtacks.
“Oh yeah. Do you think my ass has recovered?” you asked, not knowing what possessed you to say that, hoping he’d think it was funny.
He was close enough to you now that he could just lean closer and look over your shoulder to check you out. “Never looked better.”
You started to laugh, but then he came back in front of you and he was right there and you were looking at him and then suddenly you weren’t. Suddenly you were kissing him and his hands were firm around your back and yours were sliding up the nape of his neck into his hair.
The two of you made out like that for you don’t know how long, but at some point one of his legs was between yours and his hands were roaming from your waist to your breasts to your ass. When it got to be enough that you needed more, you started grinding against his leg, moaning at the friction it created against your clit and doing it again and then again.
But Joel pulled away from the kiss and looked at you with lust-blown eyes, “Fuck, sweetheart, need more?”
You nodded quickly, “Yeah, Joel.”
“I’ll give you more, c’mon, up,” Joel said as his hands came to your waist so he could help you jump up and sit on the counter. You weren’t exactly sure how he was going to give you more, but you didn’t see how you were going to be able to grind on him from up here.
So when he started kissing you again and used his to push your legs apart, you were happy and tried to move so he could stand right between your legs and maybe you could grind on him then. But when his hands stopped you moving, you were confused. And then when one of them slid up your inner thigh, underneath your dress, and then up to your panties, you were a little surprised and then so happy.
From there, it wasn’t long until he had you cumming on his fingers. And then his tongue. You had wanted to do something, anything, to return the favor. You had tried to palm his cock when he was fingering you, but he just used his free hand to hold yours against his chest and said, “No sweetheart, I’m taking care of you right now.”
When he ate you out you couldn’t really reach much of him but you kept telling him that he didn’t need to make you cum again, that you wanted him to feel good. He had just said, “Oh trust me, sweetheart, I feel very good eatin’ this pussy.”
The words were enough to have you covering your face as you moaned, embarrassed at how turned on just his voice saying those words made you.
After you had cum, he stood up again and kissed you, hard, pushing his tongue into your mouth so you could taste yourself and you reciprocated greedily.
But you pulled back before too long and said, “Joel, fuck me now? Oh please, I want you, I want your cock, I want to make your cock feel good. Please, it’s only fair.”
Joel was proud to have made a proper little school teacher like you swear and beg for his cock in the prettiest goddamn way he had ever heard and he couldn’t deny you a fucking thing.
“Alright, sweetheart, got a condom?” he asked seriously.
You couldn’t help but laugh, “What? On my person? No, I don’t think I do, Joel.”
Joel laughed with you, “Don’t worry, darlin’, I’ve got it.”
You watched, giddy at him calling you “darlin’,” as he walked over to the pantry. Your jaw dropped open as he grabbed a box of oatmeal off the shelf. He reached inside, seemingly moved some packets of oatmeal out of the way, and fished out a condom in its wrapper. He sauntered back over to you, reading the package and saying triumphantly, “Three months until it expires!”
You looked at him with raised eyebrows.
He blushed and smiled boyishly, “Been awhile.”
All questions about oatmeal and condoms flew out of your head and you held out your hands, “C’mere, now.”
The sex was slow going at first. Joel was slow first to make sure you were ready and avoid hurting you, which you appreciated because he was fucking big. Then he went slow to make sure that he wasn’t going to cum in the first thirty seconds of being fully inside you.
But you thought that was one of the hottest things anyone had ever told you, so it worked out. Once you had adjusted to his size, things were faster and more insistent with open mouthed kisses, your nails up his back, and his cock driving into you over and over again.
He made sure you came one last time, his thumb rubbing over your clit until you were shaking around him and then he fucked into you deep and pulsed inside of you with whiny moans that made you very happy.
When he pulled out to throw the condom away, you laid back on the counter, totally spent and not caring that it wasn’t the most comfortable you’d ever been. You’d fix your hair and bra and panties later, right now you just needed to breathe.
Joel came back and put his warm hand on your thigh, “You good, sweetheart?”
“Yeah,” you sighed happily. Then you remembered something and sat straight upright, “Wait, why the hell do you have condoms in your oatmeal? Do you have them stashed all over the house? Like in case of an emergency.”
Joel laughed loud and happy at that, “No, no. Ain’t having any sex emergencies over here in years. No, Sarah used to get into all of my stuff, permanent markers, cash, something that an old girlfriend had left when she stayed over one night. All of it was in my nightstand and I even got a lock but she found the key. But she fucking hates oatmeal. Won’t touch the stuff. So I started putting stuff there a few years ago, ‘round when she was nine.”
That sounded about right, Sarah was a pretty nosy kid still at 14. You gave Joel a coy look and said, “You aren’t holding onto things from your ex still, right?”
“Oh no, she took the handcuffs with her when we broke up,” Joel said nonchalantly, watching to see if he’d get a rise out of you.
Sure enough, he did. Your eyes went wide and you took in a sharp breath. He wanted to see what you would say.
It took you a second, but you looked at him and said, “Oh well, that’s too bad.”
Joel was stunned silent for a moment and just as he was opening his mouth to say something he hadn’t thought of yet, hopefully something clever and sexy, the timer for the lasagna went off with several loud beeps.
“You get the lasagna, Joel, I’ll go… freshen up,” you told him, hopping off the counter easily and then pressing a quick kiss to his cheek.

Yandere! Male! Delinquent x Volunteer! Classmate! Fem! Reader
Welcome to the 2nd set of Lizzaneia's 16 yandere OCs! Your support has been so gracious, and I'm utterly surprised by how far we've come. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
Let's start this off with 🌼 anons' request, one of my consistent supporters throughout the months (´;ω;`)
I kind of struggled how to show the yan side, so forgive me.
Yan! Delinquent name: Liam
Liam has been sent to the guidance office again.
He sighed, leaning back to his chair and started to blow raspberries on his lips. Boredom soothing his brain as he tried to think of anything other than the fact that he'll be late to his job again. His manager will probably scold him again, and he has no choice but to swallow back insults he wishes to throw.
After all, it was his fault in the first place.
Who in their right mind brings cigarettes to Uni? He seriously just wants a stress reliever from being sandwiched between midterms and his job. But once he got to a quiet and remote place to smoke, who knew a professor would also be smoking there?
"Bitch." Liam whispered under his breath, remembering how the professor started pointing fingers that he shouldn't smoke, that it's bad for your health, that it violates school rules, bla bla bla he speaks so much for a person who also smokes.
Although, he's not gonna land in this office if he just shut up. But Liam's temper got to him, and he blurted:
"stop talking, tar bags for lungs. Why are you still alive, smoking a pack and looking like a skeleton about to steal my skin?"
Let's just say that the professor blew his top and dragged his ass here, by the ear and all.
Liam buried his face on the desk, contemplating about his life.
He's always been the troublemaker. His mouth, nonstop, started fights more than stop them. That meant that there's a high percent chance that he'll be in a physical altercation with a person he's talking with.
This made Liam quite the delinquent also. Since he can't really connect with people that well, he decided to double down and be a public enemy.
He also didn't grow up with parents. He's only living by himself in a small apartment with the money that his parents left him, and works part time in a 7/11 with an understandably pissed manager.
Liam sighed.
"I'm just gonna go to sleep..."
But, when Liam was about to go to sleep, the classroom door opened and his head snapped up.
And his eyebrow quirked up.
There you are. In the school uniform, bringing a stack of papers (probably midterm exams) to the professor who was facilitating detention.
But what caught his eyes were a small, almost a Bluetooth earphone looking mechanic attached to your left ear.
"ah, y/n. Thank you for delivering the papers." The professor signed while talking to you.
Filled with curiosity, Liam looked up to you and saw you smile. Your dainty fingers started signing back, but you were also mouthing the sentence you wish to say. Subtle muted syllables of the words sometimes coming out of your mouth.
"no problem, sir. I'm glad to be of help." You ended the conversation with a polite smile before you straightened up. Your eyes looked to him, and blinked in surprise.
In an almost shy gesture, you gave a small wave to him with a cute tilt on your head. Your smile, small yet comforting, refried Liam's brain.
A slow blink, and a sharp inhale of breath made Liam wave back.
He swore he saw pink roses around you.
"what the fuck, why are you so beautiful?"
The professor coughed loudly, choking on his own saliva.
Meanwhile, you only tilted your head. You're still not that good with lipreading, and Liam's expression didn't help either.
So, you thought he just said hi or something.
Getting awkward, you bowed before shuffling outside.
Liam felt frozen in his seat, but also heated up.
You're so fucking cute in his eyes.
He wants to see you more now.
Which class are you in?
God, he hopes you were on the same class. He does not remember the faces of his classmates anyways so there's a high chance you were with him.
And as Liam daydreamed about you, the professor only looked at Liam with the outmost dumbfounded face.
"So you're here."
"?"
You looked up and saw a familiar, frowning face.
With a wave, you smiled at him.
"Hi Liam." You signed out, your voice also sounding out his name.
Liam almost doubled over from the adorableness.
He can't believe he heard his name come out of your lips. Your lips!
On the outside, Liam frowned deeply and scratched his head.
"Hi." He replied back flatly. Absolutely not betraying his own mind.
You knew he just said hi, so you chuckled and took out your phone. With a quick type, you showed him the message you wish to convey.
"Why are you here in the orphanage?"
Liam flinched, not knowing what to reply.
What? Should he freak you out by saying he followed you here?
You were his classmate after all. So why is Liam here also?
It's just that, Liam wants to spend time with you more. Get to know you more.
Liam gulped, and grabbed his phone to type his reply and showed it to you.
"ah... Decided to volunteer too."
You smiled brightly, and Liam swore once more he was blinded momentarily.
Is this what heaven looks like?
You guided him inside the orphanage. And immediately, children looked up to Liam and he jumped from the sudden attention being placed to him.
One child hid behind the other, one looked away, one tilted their head. But one bravely went up to Liam and you, clumsily signing while saying the word.
"friend?" The child asked, a hopeful face sat on his visage. Liam nodded with a small, twitchy smile. It's been a while since he did.
As if on cue, the children grinned, ran up to Liam, and started pulling him to play with them.
A small giggle came out of your lips as you watched Liam getting dragged by the children, watching them with a warm-hearted chest.
All throughout the day, Liam got to know you better.
Despite being deaf, you didn't let it hinder your spirit. You love to volunteer left and right in different organizations, wanting to help the community.
Are you making Liam fall harder for you? He's almost like a melted puddle just watching you from afar.
Although, jealousy burns within him as he tried to ignore the way you gave attention to other people. Especially men.
You appreciated how the school delinquent is apparently just a big softie (it's because of you). He's actually nice and friendly, also generous and playful (once again, it's because of you). You didn't understand why people don't like him.
He's misunderstood.
You also misunderstood his intentions because of it.
Whenever Liam had the chance, he would get close to you. Asking you to teach him sign language, what's not to do when talking with a deaf person, etc.
He wishes to know more about his future wife, after all.
He, as wrong as it sounds, thank the gods sometimes for your deafness.
You won't be offended by the shit he spew out from his mouth by how loose it is.
You won't be hurt.
You won't accidentally take what he said the wrong way.
And because of it, Liam has a strong, strong desire to protect you.
He can't let the others' voices reach your vision.
He just can't.
The bell rang from having the doors open.
"Welcome to 7/11... Y/N." Liam paused, seeing you in the wild. And inside the store he's doing his part time in.
His lips twitched. What luck.
You jumped in surprise when you finally saw Liam.
"Liam!" You said as much as your voice could. And it was enough to make Liam shiver once more.
"Can I help you, Y/N?" Liam signed out while mouthing, a relaxed look on his face.
Liam's a fast learner, immediately learning how to sign. You were thoroughly amazed, showering him with praises. Liam was also sure it was his deathbed at that time, his heart pounding through his chest as warmness and desire course through him while you praised him.
All you need to do is call him good boy really.
"oh nothing." You shook your head. Your hands gently signing out words, a sign of fatigue. "I just want a pick me up."
Liam grinned, going out from his counter as he got to you and held your hand gently. He gave a head tilt and a boyish smile.
And that made your heart flutter.
This didn't go unnoticed by Liam.
"Come on, I have recommendations." Liam guided you to the corner isle, where refreshments and microwavable foods are.
With your choice of meal done, he microwaved it, payed for the food (much to your dismay, you want to pay it for yourself but Liam insisted on paying), and let you eat on the tables area on another corner.
When Liam is about to return to the counter, his manager appeared with a smirk on his face.
Here we go again.
"hah. Didn't know a troublemaker like you would get a girlfriend." The manager said, looking at you eat.
Liam didn't refute his allegation.
"So what? I love her, and she loves me." Liam huffed, suddenly getting protective. He doesn't like how his manager leered at you.
"hey! Little lady! Your boyfriend here is a fucking lazy bum!" The manager yelled, but you didn't react, only continued to look down and eat, lost in your own world. "Huh? Excuse me!"
Didn't help also that you were far from them.
"what the fuck?"
"she's deaf, you sackbag of useless meat."
The manager's eye twitched, hearing another insult pouring out of Liam's mouth.
"deaf you say? Well, at least she can't hear the colorful shit coming out of your mouth." The manager taunted, before his eyes glinted in cruelty. "Don't deaf people have weird voices? Like nasally sounding or something?"
Liam's smirking face slowly twitched to a frown, and a face filled with anger.
"so, if the both of you fuck, won't you get disgusted by how... Fucking weird she will sound?" The manager laughed loudly. "Agh~ Ahn!"
The manager moaned out, exaggeratedly mimicking a stereotyped and insulting voice.
Liam felt like boiling hot water courses through his veins as he grabbed the manager and pushed him violently to the staff room.
He was seeing red.
His eyes wide with anger as he started to beat the shit out of the manager.
Anger rose through him like a bursted pipe, spewing out thick, unbridled rage.
Blood pumping through his fast beating heart, his mind numbed out what he's doing.
The manager can't just insult you like that.
He's a piece of shit.
You're a lovely person.
You don't deserve to be insulted like that.
He deserves to...
Liam dazedly backed away, blood dripping from his fist as he watched the manager twitch and lay on the floor.
Crimson blood pooled from his mouth, gargling just one step away from death. His eyes, shot wide with fear, looked at him with a shaky consciousness.
Liam numbly went to the comfort room to wash away the blood, change uniform, and apply perfume to remove the ironic smell after dragging the manager to the furthest corner of the staff room.
He went outside the room, and saw you just scroll your phone with a smile.
He approached you gently, his rage subsiding.
"Liam!" You said.
The manager was lying, your voice is as sweet as the morning dewdrop dropping down to the ground.
"Hey, you finished?"
You nodded with a gentle smile once more.
"Yes. Then, I'll get going! I just waited for you to come back. It's kind of rude to suddenly just... Disappear." You signed out, now enthusiastically as you already replenished your energy.
Liam's face contorted to a sheepish smile. He wants to spend time with you more.
Maybe...
Liam huffed and grabbed your hand softly.
Gently mimicking the sign to the word date, before releasing.
"I've always liked you, Y/N. Your spirit, your kindness, goodness, and just... You." Liam slowly signed out, confessing to you. Your eyes were wide, a blush settling on your cheeks. "I've always admired you, and... I want to ask you out on a date. My treat, don't worry."
You gasped, tears settling your eyes before nodding with a big grin.
Liam's sheepish smile turned to a grin as he grabbed your waist and spun you around, both of your laughters filling the air.
Liam settled you down, helping you fix your clothes.
"Wednesday?" He asked once more, and you agreed before waving goodbye to Liam.
With you gone, Liam screamed.
"YES!" He jumped around, danced, and wriggled from the butterflies going haywire in his stomach.
When he settled down, he went back to the staffroom and saw that the manager finally died. Even if he was Liam's first kill, he didn't feel bad, just a coldhearted 'good riddance.'
Now, how to get rid of this fucker?
Meh. Liam somehow knew he would be alright.
Nobody insults you.
And if somebody does again,
He would gladly put them down.

fic wip but it's just megumi fushiguro's first ever suspension letter
"To the guardian of Tsumiki and Megumi Fushiguro Gojo Satoru,
This letter serves as both a suspension notice for Megumi Fushiguro as well as a notification of a mandatory disciplinary meeting on the first Monday at the end of the ten-day suspension period. Megumi Fushiguro is being suspended from all in- and out of school activities effective immediately. The reason for his suspension and the disciplinary meeting is due to an incident that occurred today after Monday morning classes during the recess transitional period into afternoon classes. After speaking with Megumi’s homeroom teacher and getting Megumi’s classmate’s side alongside Megumi’s confession, we pieced together the course of events that led up to this incident. Around 12:35 p.m. when Megumi’s class was out at recess one of Megumi’s classmates made disparaging comments directed towards Megumi and his family structure, the details of this interaction were written about by Megumi in his letter. Teacher Ohashi took Megumi to the office after escorting the rest of the children over to Teacher Noguchi’s classroom and dropping off the punched classmate in the nurse's office. After hearing both Megumi and Megumi’s classmates recollection of the comments, which we as an institution of both learning and the safeguarding of all children under our care wholeheartedly disagree with and we do condemn, we have also decided to suspend Megumi’s classmate. We reached the decision to suspend both students in this situation after speaking with several other of their classmates. It appears that this is not the first time that Megumi’s classmate has made such inappropriate comments towards Megumi and it seems to have begun at the beginning of the academic year; thus this incident also falls under the bullying umbrella for which we have a zero-tolerance policy for. After speaking with Megumi’s classmate as well as his parents they have decided to not pursue any further disciplinary action given both the nature of the comments and the bullying that they were unaware was occurring.
During this ten-day suspension period Megumi Fushiguro may not participate in any school activities but must keep up with his coursework. Megumi Fushiguro may return to normal school activities immediately following the 7:30 a.m. Monday disciplinary meeting with yourself present, Teacher Ohashi, Megumi Fushiguro, Megumi’s classmates and his parents. As a condition of the end of his suspension, we will have monthly follow-up meetings until the end of this academic year to track progress and make sure Megumi is well-supported both at home and at school.
This is the second notification of Megumi Fushiguro's suspension as we called the emergency mobile and work numbers listed under the name Satoru Gojo and Yaga Masamichi respectively but could not reach either number. If we have the wrong numbers filed or any other information that we need to update in our system, please call the front office using the number at the bottom of the page. If you have any further questions, comments, or concerns please feel free to call with any follow-up questions.
Fuck."

Uzi thunk…pls…
"Uzi Doorman those things killed your frikin' mother"
Did you know that Uzi's on the villains wiki? Bc I sure didn't.
Anyway Uzi Doorman hcs under the cut
Main character time lets go, jumping straight into this one:
Uzi will eventually turn into a murder drone (see my post about N for details)
Uzi absolutely refuses to say that she's dating N on principle (this is a lie and she knows it)
Uzi is always really tired, doesn't matter how much sleep she got
Uzi got over killing people waaayy too fast for everyone else's liking
Uzi's slover runs hotter than the dds but she needs to be colder, so she has to drink a LOT of oil
Uzi's tail sometimes gets stuck to things with it's spines
She tries to have a decent relationship with her dad sometimes: but it's hard to get through to him
Uzi wants to be a parent just solely so she can prove to Khan that she would be a better parent than him
Uzi sometimes experiments with her admin rights for N and V while they sleep (she once set their eyes to flash with rainbow colours and had a midnight disco on her own)
Uzi uses the healing powers of the solver to make even more dangerous tools and weapons without the risk of getting hurt
If Uzi ever found Beetlejuice the musical, she would spend days just listening to the soundtrack
Same with a lot of musicals and bands actually
The last time Khan left Uzi alone in the house for more than 12 hours, a large section of the bunker was lit on fire and destroyed
Uzi is oddly supportive of all the weird things N gets up to in the worker colony
V however has been shouted at multiple times for dropping on top of drones from the ceiling
The books Uzi uses to reach her locker are textbooks on doors that her dad wrote
She is the only one in her class that finds it weird that they can't just download the knowledge into their storage like, you know, a robot would
If she could find the spare parts, she would modify herself in any way possible (starting with extendable legs)
Uzi loves any weapon she can get her hands on and is thoroughly disappointed by her lack of claws from the solver
Uzi has a personal vendetta against a pipe that runs through her classroom after it burst and nearly short-circuited her
Uzi would be top of her class if she ever bothered to do the actual work
And if Lizzy didn't always get her dad to lower Uzi's grades
Uzi still hasn't figured out how to bypass her automatic censors, so every time she tries to properly swear she just goes *beep*
Khan fully blames N and V for activating Uzi's solver
Uzi occasionally will sleep hanging upside-down with N if they are caught out by the sun while hunting together
That's about it for this post, there are more but they start going a bit off the wall after here
Currently writing this instead of preparing for my art exam on Monday, 10 hours of lovely silence to enjoy being understimulated as all balls in... yay :(
At least I might get in some more thinking then

Fate Chapter 01. — Lost Girl
Roronoa Zoro X OC X Trafalgar Law
Zoro appears first, Law appears later
I tried to write a heroine from a different world who meets the character of One Piece. The content will have two different world concepts, which are not completely based on the plot of the anime.
It’s a boring world, boring day, doing the same thing every time when open your eyes. The things you must do after getting up are brushing teeth, taking a shower, changing into school uniforms, and taking the subway to school after leaving home.
You have to squeeze into the subway every morning and live this life all day. Arrive at school and enter the classroom. The class is full of noise. The teacher's job is to give lectures as usual, and the students' life is to study or get sleepy.
When the school bell rang, packed your schoolbag and went home. There are many club activities but you just can’t get interested. There are more people on the subway after school, but don’t want to squeeze into the subway with them, so you go home late and go to convenience store on the street.
As usual ran to the convenience store near the school to buy some snacks. Chose my favorite snacks and paid. Find a bench in the park, sit down, unpack the snacks and start eating.
You don’t hate your current life, and also like what you do every day. You just a student, have nothing else to do except for parents to support you in studying. Your parents abroad will feel at ease knowing that your academic performance remains stable.
Part-time jobs are only available on Saturdays and Sundays. Your parents will give you living expenses every month, but sometimes prefer to spend your own money. But students still have to take care of their studies. If focus on work, grades will rise and fall any time.
After parents see the results, it will be troublesome to ask for explanations. Your parents are talented people, and both of them hold senior positions in an overseas company. For the sake of parents’ face and image, you must remain excellent.
The park is as usual with a group of children playing together, an old man walking his dog, some students playing football, and you eating snacks on the bench. Even don’t look at these things you experience every day, you will know them by heart.
Oops, after talking so much, forgot to introduce yourself. Your name is Yuki. 17 years old. Is a student. Don't think of hobbies at the moment, just a passerby, living a cyclical life every day.
You found the snacks had been eaten and empty. Before knew it, the time had come and almost time to go home. On the way to the subway station, the scenery of the city is quite beautiful.
Your life goes around in cycles every day, but the scenery can change every day. Nature is so magical and mysterious all at the same time.
After the traffic light turns green, you start walking on the road. What lights the traffic lights display will change accordingly for people and traffic. When the red light is on, it means stop, when the green light is on, it can move.
Even though there are traffic lights for everyone's safety, accidents will always happen suddenly. An out-of-control car is coming from the left, and in front of you is a little girl who fell on the road.
Everyone around you has fled, except you. The little girl who fell on the road and the out-of-control car are rushing towards you two. Today is the first time in your life that you have experienced such a terrifying situation.
Subconsciously, you lifted the little girl up and pushed her aside, while the out-of-control car rushed towards you. Your legs are trembling and can't move at all.
You closed your eyes unconsciously fell into darkness, but didn't feel any pain when you were hit. You only heard the sound of water, the chirping of birds and felt something shaking.
You open your eyes sit up see that you are on a small boat surrounded by the sea and a group of animals flying in the sky. The scene in front of you makes you tremble with fear. It is a sea and a bright sun.
You was clearly on the road just now, but in an instant was floating on the sea. You look around there is nothing nearby, just you, a boat, the sea and birds.
You pinched your cheeks hard asked yourself, "What's going on! Why suddenly at sea!" The pain felt on your cheek definitely real, you wanted to stand up to see what was going on but the boat started to rock.
It's better not to move. There had just been a car accident on the road, and now you was in trouble at sea. But you are still wearing school uniform, so you were transported here?
But where is this? You are in a boat and then drifting across the ocean, even don't know where you are or where you drifting to. The sun on the sea is so bright and hot, making you so thirsty.
Sitting on the boat doing nothing just drifting on the sea, calling for help but there was no one around. Guess this is the world after death. You are the only one wandering on this sea alone.
You sighed "Am I going to die here? Maybe it would be better to die. It's not uncommon to live such a boring life every day!" You lie on the boat and look at the blank sky in a daze.
Suddenly a big wave came up the boat shook violently. You quickly hold on to the boat and a huge black shadow envelop you. It is a big ship with a sun face sailing on the sea.
The big ship collided with your small boat and crashed, you falling into the sea. You screamed for help desperately hoping the people on the big ship would notice, but your voice seemed unable to reach them.
You are tired, hungry, no strength and finally sink into the sea. This is the scene under the sea, a ray of light and clear water. You have died once, now you have to die one more time. Even death is a cycle.
You close your eyes stop thinking prepare to die peacefully. When you have given up all ideas, suddenly someone jumped into the sea grabbed your arm swam to the surface.
"Hey! Come and help get her up!" a rough voice shouted.
His companion picked you up and took you to the ship "Call Chopper!" another man said.
"Don't crowd here, get out of the way!" A cute voice used his little hands to unbutton you clothes leaned against your chest to hear your heartbeat. He put his hands on your chest and pressed it quickly.
"Don't die! Give me a reaction when you hear my voice!" He shouted to you while giving first aid in a panic. After a golden period of rescue, you finally opened your eyes slightly and started to react a little.
You just accidentally fell into the sea and the sea water choked your throat so uncomfortable you quickly coughed it out. When open your eyes again see a few people surrounding you "Are you okay, miss?" A man with curly eyebrows and a suit says to you with a smile.
There was a green-haired man with three swords hanging from his waist who was wet and drying himself with a towel. He was the one who jumped into the sea to save you. You slowly sat up and stared at the tanuki that saved you?
"Tanuki," you accidentally said.
He jumped around angrily and yelled "I'm not Tanuki! I'm a reindeer!".
After calming down, he pointed himself and said, "My name is Chopper, you?".
After listening to what he said, you inadvertently found that your school uniform was soaked by water, which penetrated your underwear and still half-dressed. You wrapped your arms around yourself to cover it.
You had no idea what was going on yet , woke up and was being looked at by others. Suddenly someone wrapped a towel around. It was the man in a suit. He had a nosebleed. "My name is Sanji. I'm sorry. Chopper was in first aid just now, so..." he comforted you.
You were already trembling in panic, not knowing what was wrong. You died in a car accident and almost drowned in the sea, but after being rescued, you were frightened and overwhelmed by the people in front of you.
But they all kept a distance and didn't force you to do anything. You clenched the towel and covered your face, not knowing what to do and hesitating about how to speak.
"What should we do? She didn't say anything." A woman with long orange hair asked Sanji and Chopper.
The green-haired man came over and said, "Let her calm down first."
A dark-haired woman approached you and gently poked on the back smiled and said, "I hope you're okay."
Seeing the strange and cute appearance of the reindeer named Chopper, you unknowingly let go of your guard. After all, they saved your life but you just kept your mouth shut before thanking them.
They turned their backs to seemed to be discussing something. Out of curiosity, you prepared to eavesdrop on what they had to say but it seemed like were done talking. You hesitated for a moment and just said your name should be fine.
"Yuki."
After everyone heard you speak, immediately turned their heads watched intently. In the awkward situation, you quickly covered your face with a towel. Being in a strange place and with strange people makes you feel uncomfortable and lonely.
The orange-haired woman put her hand on her chest and said, "Hello, Yuki. My name is Nami. The one who saved you just now was Zoro." She pointed at the green-haired man.
"Yuki-chwan! I'm so glad you're okay!" Sanji said with concern through a nosebleed.
"Umm, Sanji, your nosebleed..." You pointed at his face.
Zoro sighed helplessly pulled Sanji away from you "This guy is like this when he sees girls, don't worry about it.".
Sanji was unhappy with Zoro's tone and started to fight.
You survived, who is the person who saved me? A talking reindeer? A cosplayer with three swords hanging from his waist? A pervert in a suit? What kind of world have you arrived in and why are there so many weird things?
"Yohohoho! It's so lively." You turned around and saw a talking skull with an afro hair, you were shocked and dumbfounded.
"Hello, miss." The skull greeted you, but you were already stunned by him.
You are careless, this one is weirder than those people. Nami kicked the skull away and lightly slapped your face, but already fainted and unconscious. Chopper quickly arranged you go to the infirmary for examination.
"Is Yuki-chwan going to be okay..." Sanji said worriedly.
Zoro said seriously, "She's wearing weird clothes."
Sanji kicked Zoro "Marimo! You are not allowed to look at Yuki-chwan with that despicable look!".
"You are the one who is mean!". Zoro fights with Sanji.
Don't know how much time passed before you woke up from a coma. You lay on the soft bed looked at the lights on the ceiling. You thought it was an illusion but now it feels so real. There are many books in the room, the medicines are neatly placed in the cabinets, and a Tanuki wearing a pink hat?
"Tanuki!" you shouted sitting up and pointing at him.
He yelled angrily, "I'm not Tanuki! I'm a reindeer! Chopper!"
"It's not a dream..." You slapped your face so hard that it really hurt.
Chopper holds your hand to stop from hitting yourself. The pain means you are not dreaming. You pinched your face hard and slapped it several times. Chopper was so scared he ran out and shouted for help.
"Someone come here! Yuki is hurting herself!" Chopper yelled as he ran around in a hurry.
After hearing this, Nami and Sanji ran directly into the medical room saw you pinching face. Nami grabbed your hand to prevent from continuing, and Sanji quickly wrapped ice in a cloth and applied it to your face.
"What are you doing! Why are you hurting yourself?" Nami cursed at you angrily.
"Yuki-chwan, I won't allow you to do this to yourself!" Sanji told you worriedly.
"It's really not a dream..." After confirming that was not dreaming and you had really arrived in another world, tears flowed unconsciously from your eyes.
"Yuki-chwan! I'm sorry, I shouldn't have scolded you! What should I do?" Sanji nervously reassured you.
"What happened, Yuki?" Nami let you cry on her shoulder.
Zoro saw Chopper shouting around in a panic. He walked to the door of the medical room and saw you crying, Nami comforting you, and Sanji frantically thinking of ways to tease you.
"What happened to Yuki?" Chopper hid behind Zoro and watched secretly.
"How is she?" Zoro looked at Chopper and asked.
"She fine, it's just weird when she wake up." Chopper said worriedly.
"Hmm..." Zoro just remained silent and stood outside the door watching.
"Zoroooooooo! Chopperrrrrrrr!" came a loud voice.
You heard a voice coming from outside the door and saw Zoro standing in the doorway with Chopper hiding behind. There was a man in a straw hat, followed by a man with a long nose who excitedly ran up to Zoro while grabbing a fish.
"You are here! Zoro! Look at the fish I caught!" The man in the straw hat excitedly showed off the fish to Zoro.
"I know! Keep the fish away!" Zoro dodged the fish in Luffy hand.
"What are you looking at?" The man wearing a straw hat came into the infirmary.
"Hello..." You waved to him.
"Look! I caught the fish! Who are you?" After showing off the fish to you, he suddenly asked who you are.
"Stay back, Luffy!" Nami hit him on the head.
"It hurts..." The man in the straw hat sat on the ground and whispered.
"My name is Yuki..." You said your name.
After hearing your name, he excitedly stood in front of you said loudly, "My name is Luffy! Monkey D Luffy!"
"Why is Yuki on our ship?" the long-nosed man asked with a confused look on his face.
"Due to some minor accidents, Yuki-chwan will be on the boat temporarily." Sanji picked up the fish Luffy just caught.
"Hmmm...I see." Luffy stared at you with curious eyes.
When you were frowning, suddenly Luffy pulled his cheek to make a face. His cheeks were flexible and as soft as rubber. You couldn't help but laugh when saw his face making a weird face at you.
Nami saw your smile hugged you tightly and gently stroked you head to comfort you. Although you was transported to a very strange world, the people here were so warm and you felt a little warm.
"Yuki-chwannnn, smile more!" Sanji danced happily.
"Fnally laughed." Nami laughed.
"Don't always have a sad face!" Luffy smiled as brightly as the sun.
"Thank you, I feel much better." You responded to them with a smile.
"Yuki, do you want talk to us?" Nami asked you with concern.
Nami called everyone to the table to discuss current situation. You are a strange girl meets a ship with some strange cosplayers. Sanji made tea for everyone and put it on the table. You can smell the delicious tea.
There are currently 8 people: Luffy with retractable body, Zoro as a three-sword cosplayer, Nami with long orange hair and tattoos, Sanji with a nosebleed and a suit, Chopper as a reindeer, Brook as a skeleton, Usopp as a long-nosed and black-haired Robin.
Now a tall blue-haired man named Franky came forward, wearing only a underwear and a pair of robotic hands. What a weird group, maybe they are members of a band, you really feel confused about the current situation after reading it.
You clear your throat and briefly introduce everyone, "Ahem. My name is Yuki. I'm from Japan. I'm currently a high school student."
"Japan? What island are you from?" Luffy asked excitedly, standing on the table.
"What's the occupation of a high school student?" Ussop asked curiously.
"Japan is a country, and high school students are students." You explain to them seriously.
"Hmm. A country I've never heard of." Franky looked confused.
"Yohoho. That's why high school students wear short skirts like this. Can you let me see your pantsu?" Brook said with a smile at you.
"Sinful short skirt..." You looking at Sanji's whispered with nosebleed.
"What about you, are you all the cosplayers of some group?" Seeing their strange looks, couldn't help but ask.
"What is a Cosplayer?" Chopper asked doubtfully.
"Cosplayer is like everyone wear some character costumes." You simply explained to Chopper.
"We are not role-playing! We are a pirate group! I am the man who wants to become the Pirate King!" Luffy stood on the table and raised his hands in the air.
"Ha!? Pirates!? What era are we in now!" You stood up grabbed Luffy's collar and kept asking.
"The ○○ era..." Nami said.
"It's different from my time..." You let go of Luffy's collar calm down and muttered to yourself.
"Yuki, I'm curious, what era are you from?" Robin raised her hand and asked.
"I'm from the ○○○○ era..." Robin looked shocked after you answered.
"There is a possibility that Yuki is a person from a different world and era. I have read it in books, I always thought it was a dreamlike existence." Robin told everyone about your possibility.
"Hey! That means Yuki comes from a different world than us!" Sanji was shocked by Robin's conclusion.
"Wait! Could it be sent by the enemy?" Ussop suddenly mentioned.
"If it's true, just cut her off." Zoro stood up held his scabbard in hand.
Ussop mentioned this speculation, Zoro has become wary of you. It makes sense for them to speculate and be wary of you. Most people can ignore a girl wandering at sea, but they saved you.
Sanji stood up raised his feet to stop Zoro from drawing his sword. The aura of the two of them was too strong. You can feel the oppression and intense pressure from both of them while sitting nearby. It's such a terrifying situation.
"Stop it now!" Nami threw tea at Zoro and Sanji.
"I understand your caution. But if she is really innocent, wouldn't it be tantamount to bullying the weak?" Robin said calmly.
"Hahaha! Robin is right!" Franky said with a laugh.
"Yohohoho, if Yuki really wanted to harm us, she could have attacked Chopper in the medical room." Brook gave a simple metaphor.
"Yeah, it was just me and her at that time. It was a good opportunity to make a move." Chopper said seriously.
"Robin-chwan is right! Yuki-chwan is innocent! Marimo!" Sanji complained about Zoro.
"Let's have a fight! Curly cook!" Zoro and Sanji got into a fight.
It’s incredible they all can live together and get along even though all with different looks and personalities. It’s not like you’re dealing with the same people and the same things every day.
You clenched both hands and fell into deep thought. Maybe as Robin said, you and them are in different worlds and just happened to be transferred here or this is the world after death.
"Yuki! Look at me!" Luffy suddenly called.
"Erm?" You raised head.
When you heard Luffy calling, you looked up and saw him sitting on the table, making faces and laughing at you. His expression was so funny that you couldn't help but hold your belly and laugh.
"Oh, laughed again." Robin said with a chuckle.
"Yuki-chwan! Smile more! Your smile is a salvation!" Sanji looked at you with loving eyes.
"Luffy, how on earth did your face stretch and contract like this?" You asked him, wiping away the tears of laughter.
"Hehehe, I became like this after eating the Gomu Gomu no Mi." Luffy proudly showed off to you.
"Gomu Gomu no Mi?" You pulled Luffy's face hard to confirm this fact.
"Devil fruit. After eating it, you can gain certain superpowers. Doesn't it exist in your world?" Ussop asked you after explaining.
"I was only born in an ordinary world that is not as sci-fi as your world." You said about the worldview you lived in before.
"What do you usually do in your world?" Nami asked curiously, sitting next to me.
"It's all about studying and working. I don't have any other hobbies or interests." You told her vaguely.
"So boring..." Luffy said to me with a bored look on his face.
"I feel bored too." You lowered your head whispered.
It is indeed undeniable that your life is boring. Maybe you don’t make friends or participate in outdoor activities. Maybe you are introverted or just weak and incompetent.
You lowered your head clasped the corners of your skirt with your hands remaining silent. You feel so reluctant to let Luffy tell you the truth, but what he said is the truth. You have no reason to deny it.
At this time, there is a sudden gurgling sound in your stomach, which means are hungry. You shyly held your stomach and looked up find Sanji and Luffy smiling, Nami standing behind you putting her hands on your shoulders.
"Sanji, our guest is hungry." Nami said with a smile.
Sanji lit a cigarette, took a puff and exhaled, "No problem!"
Sanji ran away immediately when he heard your hungry voice and Nami's tone. For some reason, everyone was very happy to see Sanji leave, especially Luffy who jumped up and down with Chopper excitedly.
"Hehehe, Sanji is the chef of this ship." Robin said with a smile.
"So that's it." You said with a chuckle.
"That's right! Sanji's cooking skills are top-notch! He's not inferior to the chefs outside!" Ussop tells you excitedly.
"Ussop... I'm curious, do you often lie?" Seeing Ussop's nose reminded of some fairy tale plots.
Ussop quickly stepped back when he heard this, "Why did you say that!"
You smiled told him, "I read a fairy tale book that said that a puppet was born to lie and because of the fairy's spell, his nose would grow when he lied."
Ussop shouted in surprise and thought seriously, "NANIIIIIII, there is such a story! Could it be that I have a long nose because of a fairy casting a spell..."
"It's possible." Chopper came over to gossip.
"Yohohoho, what a funny story." Brook said with a smile.
"It's really strange that skeletons and reindeer can talk. Did you two also eat devil fruits?" You asked curiously.
"Yohohoho, that's right! Are there no skeletons in your world?" Brook asked curiously after laughing.
"Can the reindeer talk?" Chopper asked curiously.
"Skeletons usually only seen on Halloween, but people pretend to be and scare people for candy. I read about reindeer in books. Most of the records are four-legged animals that don't talk." You explain.
"Why do scare people and ask for candy?" Brook tilted his head and asked.
"It's a holiday custom. People dress up as various ghosts and knock on the door from house to house, asking for candy. If they don't give it, they will cause trouble." You said.
"Yohohoho! It's so fun! I want to participate if I have the chance! I have no body but a skeleton body!" Brook raised his hands excitedly to express his happiness.
"What about the cyborg?" Franky asked curiously.
"I've never seen with my own eyes, but I've seen it in science fiction movies." You smiled.
"What is a science fiction movie?" Franky asked, putting his hand on his chin in confusion.
"It's similar to what's shown in TV series." You might make a gesture like drawing a rectangle with your hands.
"What a strange world structure." Franky said with a smile.
Chopper, Brook and Franky excitedly ask you for stories about your world. We all live in different worlds, encounter different things, experience different lives, and live with all kinds of people.
Zoro thought you were suspicious, he stood aside and silently observed your every move. Luffy and Ussop ran to the kitchen to make trouble, while Robin and Nami were listening to what you said.
For the first time, you feel so amazing that you meet a stranger in a strange place. You think each other is weird. After all, the world you grew up in is different, but you feel so at ease with their company.
"Everyone! Food!" Luffy jumped up holding the food in both hands.
"Yahoo! I'm starving!" Ussop happily followed Luffy.
"Hey Luffy! Don't do this! You'll spill the food later!" Sanji held the food and followed Luffy.
"Okay, stop hanging around Yuki. Come over and eat." Nami put her hands on your shoulders and told Chopper, Brook and Franky.
"Bring me the wine." Zoro walked away.
"Let's eat together." Robin smiled and invited you to enjoy it together.
"My new friend Yuki-chwan is here today! I have shown my true skills!" Sanji clenched his fists and said enthusiastically.
You sit at the dining table look at the delicious food placed in front of me. The last time you just ate lunch boxes and snacks from the convenience store, the sumptuous food in front of you was so appetizing.
"Yuki-chwan, please taste it. You can give me a review." Sanji smiled, poured you water and handed you a knife and fork in a gentlemanly manner.
"Okay." You took it from him.
"I caught this fish!" Luffy confidently showed off to you.
It is a different kind of fish from your world, you cut a small piece and stare at it. After taking a deep breath, carefully put it into mouth and chew it slowly and tasting it carefully.
It's different from the fish you usually eat. Although it doesn't suit their food taste, you chew it, swallow it and take a sip of water. Luffy said it was fish but the texture seemed a bit strange when chewed but the taste was delicious.
"How does it taste Yuki-chwan?" Sanji asked with nervous hands shaking.
"Erm...the ecological species of fish are different from mine, so I can't get used to it." You told Sanji your thoughts.
"So it's delicious?" Sanji looks forward to your reply.
"It's delicious! Thank you! Sanji!" You responded to him with a happy smile.
"Yuki-chwannnnnnnn~The most important thing is that it suits your taste~" Sanji jumped up excitedly when he saw your smile spurting nosebleeds.
"Sanji...your nosebleed..." You tried to comfort Sanji but he seemed unable to control it.
"Don't worry, he's always like this." Robin put vegetables into your bowl.
"Thank you Robin." It feels like Robin is like a sister taking care of your diet.
"Yuki, how do you plan to live in the future?" Ussop asked while chewing food.
"I..." You were silent, having no idea after what to do.
"Nah! Do you want to join us for an adventure? It will be fun! Hahahaha!" Luffy said, holding a large piece of fried chicken in his hand and filling his mouth with food.
"Me?" You pointed at yourself.
"We can't let you live on the streets for the rest of your life." Nami said with a smile.
"Yohohoho! Fate has brought us together!" Brook said happily.
"I'm happy to have an extra nakama." Robin chuckled.
"Superrrrrrr~" Franky raised his hand and put the stars on his wrist together.
"Yuki~" Chopper took your hand.
"Then...thank you." You stood up bowed to express your gratitude.
"Yuki-chwan~Welcome~" Sanji was so happy and put a lot of food into your bowl.
You see that the bowl is full of food looks like Sanji is overly excited. But getting along with them is not a bad thing, everyone is very warm to welcome you as a stranger.
"Yuki-chwan, what else do you want to eat? I can get it for you~" Sanji served you considerately.
"Eat more for yourself." You cut a small piece of fish put it into Sanji's bowl.
"Yuki-chwannnnn so gentle~ This piece of fish is so delicious!" Sanji was moved to tears.
You see that Zoro is not at the table and ask Sanji "Zoro, doesn't he eat?"
Sanji frowned sighed helplessly, "Ignore that Marimo."
"Sanji and Zoro don't get along." Robin whispered in your ear.
"So." You finally understood.
Luffy's appetite for food, how big the portion is and how quickly he stuffs all the food into his mouth. You were almost full, but remembered that Zoro hadn't eaten yet, you put some food in the bowl and gave it to him later.
"Yuki-chwan, where are you taking the food?" Sanji asked curiously.
"Zoro hasn't eaten yet, I'll give him some." You stood up and left the table.
"Damn Marimo! Let a girl serve the food!" Sanji shouted angrily.
"You're so noisy Sanji!" Nami yelled at him.
You looked for Zoro with a bowl filled with food, and you saw him sitting and drinking while watching the sea. You slowly approached behind him feeling a strong sense of oppression coming from his back.
His vigilance never slackened from the beginning as he drew his sword pointed it at you. You were so frightened that you stopped quickly because his sword was pointed at you and your legs began to shake.
"What?" Zoro showed a fierce expression.
You were afraid that he would stab you with his sword, but you still swallowed your saliva and said, "...You didn't come to eat. I'll get you some food while Luffy hasn't finished eating, otherwise you'll starve."
He put the sword into scabbard and say "put it there." then continued to drink.
You put the food in his designated place and leave silently. Before leaving, you looked at his back thought for a while. Even if he made you feel scary and powerful, bu still had to say what you should say.
"Zoro...thank you for saving my life." Although he didn't look back , you still bowed to his back to express your gratitude.
"..." He just sat there silently.
"Don't just drink, remember to eat." You reminded him warmly again that the food was just there and left.
After you left, Zoro looked back at the food you put aside. He put down the wine, held the bowl, took a fork and started eating. He gulped down the food in the bowl, burped, put the bowl down and continued drinking.
You came back to the table and saw Robin waving to you "What's wrong?"
"I'll take you to your room." Robin stood up and walked to the room with you.
Robin is really beautiful. She has long black hair, is knowledgeable, and has a slim and tall figure. You couldn't help but keep staring at her, feeling very envious of her figure and you just a short girl.
"Why are you staring at me?" Robin glanced at you.
You panicked and covered your face with your hands, "I don't mean any harm, I just think you're beautiful."
"Hehehe, thank you." Robin chuckled.
You followed Robin to the room opened the door see Sanji and Chopper all well organized and waiting for you to come in. You stepped into the room and saw that although it was just a simple small room better than sleeping on the roadside.
"Thank you very much." You smiled.
Robin pointed to the clothes on the bed, "They are old clothes, if you don't mind."
"Why would I mind! I'm so grateful!" You bowed.
Robin leaned against the door. "Hehehe, is bowing also a custom in your world?"
You put your hand on the back of your head smiled, "It's actually a custom in the country where I live, to express gratitude. Everyone does this even if they pick up things for passers-by."
"I see. There are really rules." Robin chuckled.
"Yuki-chwan~ You don't need to do that here. We are more relaxed here." Sanji lit a cigarette and smiled.
Chopper jumped and raised his hands, "If you feel uncomfortable, you can come to me. I'm a doctor."
You squatted down and said, "Wow, that's awesome, Chopper."
Chopper is shy "Your compliments don't make me happy at all.~"
You looked at the shy Chopper "This is what happens when you are praised..."
Sanji held a cigarette and proudly said, "You can come to me anytime if you are in danger, hungry or need a hug."
"How considerate." You smiled shyly.
Sanji saw you blushing and nose bleeding, "You look so cute when you are shy!"
"Hehehe, let's leave first. See you later." Robin waved and left the room.
Sanji and Chopper followed Robin out of your room. You collapsed onto the soft bed and sighed. After what you have experienced now, you are sure that you are not dead yet, you are in another world.
The world of pirates...it's incredible. How on earth could you be suddenly transported to this world? Is this the so-called world without wonder or the world full of unknowns?
It’s really tiring to have to accept so many weird things all at once. You were about to die but did not die. Instead, you went to another world and almost died but was saved again. You feel exhausted, just closed your eyes and slowly fell asleep.

We Are the Champions | Armin × Fem!Reader
My Candy Love HSL • Episode 38 > Future
Armin proposed to you once as a joke, but now you can't help but remember that time.
Word Count: 1,088
Warnings: non, just fluff and some, not actually, suggestive jokes
Almost a fucking year later omgg! Hope you enjoy! English is not my first language so, sorry for mistakes.
"AGH, that's it, I'm over with this shit."
I was walking into the classroom for Mr. Farres' history class when I heard Armin complaining in the back. "Such a nice welcome, Armin. I'm very pleased to see you too." I said with a smile. Haven't seen him since the "little" incident with Evan. I tried to support him the most, but there were things I couldn't help with, only his family. Also, we haven't spent much time together like the old times. "Oh, Lovie, I didn't see you, but of course, it's such a pleasure being able to appreciate your beauty." He wink at me with one of his best smiles.
I'd miss him so much.
"What's up, going through a difficult battle over there?" I walked to him and hugged him by the side. "Actually, it's a new game I found, very tricky I've to say. Hum." He showed me the console, it looked like an apocalypse game. "Looks like Resident Evil." I laughed. "But how does Armin S Kennedy-kick-zombie's-ass can't pass a level?" He chuckles at my little reference. That time when we tried to make a Resident Evil marathon, and I yelped every time he played with my nerves. "Well, my Ada Wong, this time we have a hard mission to accomplish."
He started to play to show me how the level was. The level consisted of recollect batteries to light up the building, but when you activate the power, zombies got you from both sides of the hall. It was practically impossible to kill them alone. "I tried to convince Alexy, but he isn't the type to play this kind of game." He shrugged. "It's almost new and not well known so I haven't found someone on the internet that could pass this level."
Mr. Farres entered the room, and we didn't realize everyone was already sitting down. "Why don't we do it together? Team Fuck Zombies come back?" I suggest to him passing my arm through his shoulders. "I would love that, love." Farres started his class, sometimes I wrote down some notes about today's chapter but I was more concentrated on Armin, tracing circles on my hand down the desk. He wrote something in his notebook and showed it to me.
What about you, me, and a furry presence at my house at 4 pm, pizza, and a session of make out? ;))
Later that day, there I was, incredibly nervous about entering my boyfriend's house wearing the outfit I had 1 hour selected because the blouse didn't suit me. I pressed the doorbell and prepared my best smile. What if his mom or dad opens the door? They already know me, but do they know I'm his girlfriend?
"Well, well the little Candy finally has got invited to the house of madness." Alexy welcomed me with a funky tone. "My little brother took soooooo long, I started to think he was just so silly to do so." He laughed. "My god, I'm just kidding, come in. If you could see your face, just relax."
"Are your parents at home?" I asked, giving him a hug. "Nope, cops aren't in the sight, so feel in your house." He turned around and went to the kitchen. "But I'm the officer in turn, so try not to eat my brother... yet" He hooted, turning my cheeks red at his comment. I love him, but he isn't helping with this.
"Come on, Alexy, stop bothering my girl." Armin went down the stairs and hugged me by the back. "That's my job." He hugged me tight and hid his head in the crook of my neck. I giggled, "You aren't helping me!"
The time passed like water, just like it always has been with Armin. A couple of pizzas, sushi, and ice cream later, there we were, trying to pass through a horde of zombies without success. "I need a break, I will kill somebody at this point," Armin said, passing his hands in his face.
Frustration was the only thing we knew at the moment, and seeing Armin getting disappointed got me worse. "How long could you stay? I'm done with that horrendous thing but I would like to enjoy my beautiful girl, you know." He kisses me tenderly. We both knew it had no reason to continue trying, at least that day.
"They are at my aunt's, so I can stay more late." He started playing with my hands. "That's great, princess." He put his head on my chest and kissed my hand. "I'm really sorry. I thought we could get it," I said.
"Oh, don't be. Obviously, I wanted to get it, but I prefer being with you." I played with his hair. "I'm going to the bathroom, stay here." He kisses my head before leaving.
Something has to be wrong... but what is it? Every single time, somehow, even if we were just about to succeed; there was something that made another horde come to us. I took control and started playing this time analyzing everything I could on the map. There was something we hadn't seen.
And it was. After beating the enemies on both sides, something new appeared on the map; we didn't just have two ways. We could go down and get to the electricity center with a passage. It was longer and had some enemies, but it was way easier.
"I got it!" I screamed. "ARMIN! ARMIN!" I opened the door and called him. He hurried to the room, zipping his pants. "ARE YOU OKAY? WHAT-?" I hugged him and hopped. "I got it! We didn't see the correct way!" He looked at the TV and started laughing and pumping kisses all over my face. "No way..."
He raised me in a hug and started spinning. "I knew it! My lord, I'm so lucky to have you." I chuckled in his arms. "God, you are amazing, you know?" He murmured near my lips. "Mmh, I have an amazing boyfriend who gave me some life hacks, you know," I murmured back and kissed him. "Would you marry me?" He said between kisses. "Armin!" I laughed. "Don't laugh, I'm serious!" He smiled. "We are seventeen, Armin!"
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆
Rosa finished fixing my dress, looking for any lost detail. "You look beautiful! Our little Candy, I can't believe this is the day!" I smiled and looked one last time in the mirror.
One step closer to him. Closer to be his, and he mine. Armin and I, always and forever against anything, even zombies.
Hey there! It's been a long looong time 🤡 In my defense, college is finishing with my life, and creativity isn't helping me. But hey! Here it is. Not the final I hoped, but my self-consciousness couldn't keep this in my notes anymore.
If life treats me better, I'll start writing Lys or Kentins fic! Thanks for all your support 🩷

Succession Preference: Being Their Kid
Requested: Hi!!! Could u do a roy siblings + conner (love the way u write him) with a reader who is their kid? So like a POV in an AU where reader is their kid and each of them how they'd be as parents. (Succession preference or headcanons) - anon
A/N: Thank you for requesting my love!!! Hope you like it!!! Feedback is always appreciated!!! 💜💜💜
Connor loves being a father. He thought his greatest life purpose was being a big brother, but really it was to be a dad to you. He loves you more than anything. Despite being oblivious sometimes, Connor is a very attentive and present dad. He goes to every school event, every game, every play, every activity. He's the parent who goes on school field trips and volunteers for every classroom activity. Raising you is the biggest blessing of his life. He spoils you rotten. He wants you to have everything. Absolutely everything. Connor tells you about your Pop-Pop and your aunt and uncles, about how they used to be a lot closer, trapped in a years-long battle. He even tells you a bit about his mother, wanting you to be as connected to her as you are your other grandparents. He doesn't know what he'll do when you leave, when you move out. He loves being your dad. You're smart and funny and you love him no matter what, no matter how awkward or clueless or loving he is. It's all he ever wanted, he knows that now, to be a dad.
Kendall isn't very attentive. You have your younger (half?) siblings, Sophie and Iverson, and Rava is like a mother to you, but your relationship with your dad is strained. It's hard. Your mother does the best she can, and she's been trying to save you from him for as long as you can remember, but you know better. Your father didn't go to rehab until a few years ago. Before then, you mostly saw him on holidays if you were lucky and vacations. He sorta moved on, started a whole new family with Rava, and that hurts. As you grow up, you really realize that he was just a kid raising kids. He still has a lot of growing up to. You're not mad at him, you can't be. Look at the life he's lead, the people around him. No wonder he's a stifled kid. Still, you feel wronged. No matter what, he's your father. He should have stepped up to the plate. He should have taken his duties seriously. The older you get the more you understand him, his upbringing, but you're still connected to those frustrated feelings of childhood. You want him to be more present, and you hope he will be, but right now he can't be. He's fighting for a legacy he'll never have.
Shiv is a complicated mother to have. She loves you, of course she does, but she's trapped by circumstances. She never wanted to be with your father, she never wanted to turn into her mother, but she is and she did and now you're the product. She has big hopes for you. She knows that you're smart, you're witty, you remind her a lot of herself. She never wants you fight to be heard the way she was. Never. She spent her whole life fighting and still ended up the wife of the CEO instead of CEO herself. She listens to you always. If something is unfair or unjust, if you think you deserve something or want to do something or become someone, she is always there to listen. She 100% supports you in everything you do. She doesn't want you to end up like her. She does everything she can to support you and give you all that you want so that you never feel like she did. Raising you just makes her more upset with Logan. Regardless of your gender she knows you're a capable, whole human being. Why couldn't he do the same? Why couldn't any of them?
Roman is definitely not your biological father. You're adopted by him or he's your step-dad, something like that, but there's just no way he would biologically father a child. He likes you, you're cool. It's a learning experience for the both of you. It makes him realize just how messed up his own childhood was. He feels no want or need to hit you, to abuse you, to send you away like he'd been. He definitely doesn't talk about his childhood in front of you, scared that it might affect you, even just the words enough to mess you up. You know better than to ask. He's not very affectionate, but he's working on it slowly. Very slowly. He's there for you when you need him, when you need a shoulder to cry on or someone to listen. He's trying his best not to be so defensive, so sarcastic. He wants to legitimize your feelings the way his never were. The more he's with you, fathering you, the less he understands Logan. The less he understands his entire upbringing. When you're visibly upset, nothing in him wants to react with anger. He only sees empathy and sensitivity and heartbreak, nothing he feels the need to punish. Fatherhood wasn't ever on his list of life goals, but he's glad that he has you.

The Best News of Last Week - February 13, 2023
Hello there! Welcome to another edition of ‘Feel Good Newsletter’. I'm so glad you're here. Every week, I scour the web for the most uplifting and heartwarming stories to bring you a little bit of joy and inspiration. So, sit back, relax, and let's dive in!
1. Minnesota House passes "universal" school meals, providing free breakfast, lunch to students
The Minnesota House of Representatives is considering a bill that would provide universal school meals to all students in the state, regardless of their families' ability to pay. The goal of the bill is to ensure that all students have access to nutritious meals and are better equipped to learn in the classroom.
If the bill is approved, Minnesota would become the second state in the country, after California, to offer universal school meals. The bill has the support of education and anti-hunger advocates, who argue that it would help to address food insecurity and improve student health and academic performance.
2. Ukraine succeeds in bringing back 128 children forcibly removed to Russia
Ukraine has succeeded in bringing back 128 children forcibly taken by the invaders to Russia.
Source: Yuliia Usenko, Head of the Department for the Protection of the Interests of Children and Combating Violence of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, quoted by Ukrinform
Quote: "We have managed to bring 128 children back to Ukraine. More than 50 of them, together with their parents or guardians, are currently in EU countries.
3. Putting solar panels in grazing fields is good for sheep
A study found that installing solar panels in grazing fields is beneficial for sheep. The study was conducted in the UK and found that sheep were more likely to spend time in areas with solar panels than in areas without. This is because the panels provide shade and shelter from the sun, wind, and rain.
The researchers believe that this could help to improve the welfare of sheep, as they are more likely to seek out shade in hot weather, which can reduce the risk of heat stress. The study also found that the solar panels had little impact on the growth and health of the grass, which is important for the sheep's diet.
4. Dad takes toddler son for a manicure after teacher says it's 'only for girls'
The father and son were at a "Daddy and Me" event, where fathers were encouraged to spend time with their children doing various activities. The father chose to take his son to get a manicure, but was told by the teacher in charge of the activity that it was only for girls. The father was reportedly surprised and upset by the teacher's statement, as he felt that it was important for his son to be able to express himself however he wants, without gender stereotypes getting in the way.
The article notes that the incident highlights the ongoing issue of gender stereotypes and the importance of promoting gender equality and inclusivity, especially in children's activities.
4. More than half of new U.S. electric-generating capacity in 2023 will be solar, and only 14% will be using fossil fuels
Information Administration (EIA), energy production in the country increased for the fourth consecutive week. The EIA data showed that the output of oil, natural gas, and coal rose by 1.6%, 2.2%, and 3.2% respectively. The increase in energy production is due to a combination of factors, including improved drilling techniques, favorable weather conditions, and rising global demand for energy.
5. Deforestation in Brazil falls by 60% in first month under Lula
Deforestation in the Amazon rainforest in Brazil fell for the first time this year, according to a report by Reuters. The decrease is attributed to increased enforcement of environmental regulations and increased monitoring of illegal logging activities. The Brazilian government has implemented several measures to reduce deforestation and preserve the Amazon rainforest, which is a critical component of the global ecosystem.
6. Cat returned to NJ shelter for being 'too affectionate' now happy in his new home
A cat named Bruno surrendered to a shelter in New Jersey and was eventually adopted by a new family. Bruno, who was described as a friendly and affectionate cat, is now happily settling into his new home. The story of Bruno's adoption serves as a reminder of the importance of animal shelters and the work they do to find loving homes for abandoned pets.
7. A doggy day care was on fire. Neighbors helped save all 115 dogs inside.
A fire broke out at a doggy daycare and resort in Seattle, causing significant damage to the building. No dogs or employees were injured in the fire, but several dogs had to be temporarily relocated to other facilities. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the resort is working to make repairs and get back to serving the community's four-legged friends as soon as possible.

I Missed You
Pairing: Oikawa x (gn!) reader
Word Count: tbd
Rating: Oikawa Tooru Fluff [otf]
Warnings: none// reader in timeskip becomes a doctor specializing in aging/older athletes and completing necessary check-ups before a match.
Note: I tried to not tie any gender-specific nouns when describing reader.
How I think OIkawa & reader hug each other after not seeing each other in a long time.
[23:45]
That’s the time stamp you receive on an old friend’s text. There are only three words which the message is comprised of. When you read them aloud to yourself in the comfort of your own home, you seem to repeat them like a mantra.
‘I miss you’
Simple hope draws from this in a way that can’t be described as you stare at your screen until you ultimately lock your phone. You close your eyes for a a few minutes when your brain decides to show you a highlight reel of the activities you used to do with the sender. Learning the rules of volleyball, joining in their team jogging paths, coming to scheduled matches, accompanying him to the nurse’s office when he landed on his feet wrong, etc. He was destined to be famous, just not here at home in Japan, no. Somewhere half a world away called out to him first. Argentina was distant, far, the most you’d ever be separated and even then, the times prior were literally at the start of up schooling lives.
Unfortunately, the last memory behind the closed eyes you see is a bittersweet one: the reality your friend, confidant, (and crush) hits you. You never did want to wind up fighting with him, but for once you’d want him to fight to stay here. With you. As his best friends remind you, you’d be holding him back from his true potential ever since he started practicing with the collegiate teams up the road from where you live—this was where the initial rift began to be drawn between you two.
During lunch one day, you visit his classroom, sitting next to him explaining (or rather complaining) the trouble you were having with a particular class and one of the assignments needed to be completed prior to a content exam.
“Do you ever shut up about schoolwork, yn?”
You pause, a disappointed look heavy on your brow as those within earshot suddenly fall quiet.
“I’m sorry not all of us have a righteous path carved in front of us, Tooru,” the tonality in your voice was one of annoyance. “Some of us have to work even harder to achieve our dreams other than hoping to skip town and follow in their idol’s footsteps.”
Ever since that brief conversation, you and one Oikawa Tooru, are now practically strangers come graduation day. You hear whispers via the third year rumor mill of his accomplishments and his ultimate defeat against both Shiratorizawa and Karasuno. Matches you weren’t there to show your support for, even if Iwazumi Hajime, the ace and vice captain, had invited you because, “it would be nice for him (oikawa) to see a familiar face in the crowd.”
Glancing back at Iwazumi’s moss green eyes and stoic countenance, “and if I recall, it would be nicer if I wasn’t there because it might distract him further. There are plenty of scouts heading to those matches. I’m sure he’d catch one of their eyes.”
“And if those scouts ask him to move to another country, are you really going to be ok with not saying your goodbyes when we graduate, yn?”
You aggravatedly sigh at him, muttering an annoyed, “Yes, Iwazumi-kun, even then.”
Many months later, post Oikawa's jog in the winter while watching the Karasuno v Inarizaki match, it is now springtime. You’re holding a bouquet of flowers from your parents who pose with you for pictures around the inner school gates of Aoba Josai’s campus. Your fellow classmates and club members surround you for more photos as well. This was going to be one of the final memories you have for your high school career. You were accepted into a university specializing in biomedical engineering with a strong focus on exercise science.
This was your dream, not necessarily the same path as Iwazumi’s to become an athletic trainer, no, however you had wanted to be a doctor whose focus would help restore and maintain older athlete’s bodies even post retirement. Helping those who had maybe one or two career setbacks was something which had captivated you the more you began to focus on the life sciences of your high school careers and with the help of those teachers, they had written for you a brilliant recommendations to boost your acceptance after passing the various university exams.
[13:43]
In your office nearly a decade later from high school graduation, sits your newest patient. He comes from Argentina, like your nurses tell you, but the rumor that he had come on a friend's recommendation is what actually piques your interest. Well, to be fair, two of your friends' personal recommendation are what causes you to raise your eyebrow. The nurse on duty that day takes his vitals as normal, asks him the routine questions before giving him the proper spiel of, "sit tight and the doctor will see you in a few minutes."
Oikawa Tooru has come home for several reasons. The only one on the top of his list is coming home for an exhibition match game he was invited to by the former captain of Nekoma and now representative of the JVA. However, when word reaches Iwazumi's camp in the national team's gym, he smirks, sending a text halfway across the world. Your name is thrown into the mix of doctors who are willing to examine older, closer to retirement age, athletes. Considering this was not how he had wanted to spend his second day back in his home country, Oikawa Tooru asks to book this appointment to get an all clear before playing the V-League exhibition match Kuroo talked him into attending.
You are reading over the file of the new patient outside of the room in the hallway. You scan over the various ticks he had made on the questionnaire along with your nurse who says that his young son looks up to Oikawa-san as a professional volleyball player.
"Repeat that one more time, Sato-san," you clear your throat when Sato-san repeats what he had said earlier.
"My son is as huge fan of Oikawa-san," he points to the name at the top of the document in your hand.
Right there, next to Sato-san, the nurse's pointer finger, is the kanji of the name of a person you thought about since your high school, university, and medical school graduation days. You clear your throat, thanking Sato for his time measuring the vitals of the next patient in the room you're about to enter.
"No prob doc," is all Sato says when he walks back to the nurse station leaving you to enter the examination room where an old flame sits.
You take a deep breath prior to knocking and entering. You open the door and you see OIkawa bent over on the examination bed, reading something on his phone. His hair is cropped shorter, his shoulders are a bit broader, his skin a bit tanner, and for lack of better words, his muscles quite filled out the rest of him. He's still humming a tune you're unfamiliar with until your shoes enters his field of vision.
"Hello Tooru," your voice causes him to freeze and immediately causes his eyes to avert away from his phone. "It's been a while."
Oikawa's coffee-colored eyes study your face and the recognition hits him like a truck. Although he is dressed in a sky blue buttoned blouse and dark jeans compared to your teal scrubs and white lab coat, he stands up, arms extended to crush you in a hug. His patient file falls to the floor when you hug him back.
You hear him for the first time since that argument long ago, voice wobbly and all, "I missed you."

this is just a theory (i haven't looked into this bit that much) but I feel like the reason that misinformation is so wildly rampant in online communities about ADHD (probably also autism) is in part because of how inaccessible actual professional information about it is.
Like, I remember before I got my diagnosis (what started off this whole thing a while back), I was looking at the CDC website description of symptoms of ADHD with my mom and. If you thought you were neurodivergent and were looking at this thing trying to see if you should get tested, its basically saying "screw you. you're either a child who is going to be here because of their parents, or an adult who is also here because of another neurotypical."
one of the criteria was literally "is often 'on the go' acting as if 'driven by a motor.'" that means absolutely nothing. you are using undefined expressions to explain something to someone who historically is not good at understanding unexplained social norms (such as expressions).
plus, its incredibly subjective. "on the go" could mean something wildly different for one person then the next. and "often" could mean "all the time every day" or "only at school" or even "every other week." not to mention the memory issues that at least a lot of the people who I know with ADHD struggle with.
someone who might have ADHD has no way of knowing if they "often have trouble organizing tasks and activities" or if that is a normal amount. there is no way for them to easily know if they "often do not seem to listen when spoken to directly."
so it seems obvious to me, that they would turn to other people with ADHD. and the easiest place to find them these days is online. thats how I started wondering if I should get diagnosed. they're probably trying to find some other way to understand or know. and since its social media and social media is rampant with misinformation, of course they are going to be fed misinformation.
people are going to tell them "you see this weird thing that you do? I do that too. and its actually because of this much larger thing. trust me." and people will. because there really isn't much of another place for them to turn. they are going to self-diagnose with every disorder under the sun to make themselves feel at home and feel like they aren't weird or wrong.
maybe i'm way off here but I think that if you want people (teens in particular) to stop turning to social media for comfort and information, you should give them other resources that are accessible. that they don't have to pay to see, that they can understand clearly, that acknowledges all the weird things that they feel bad about.
and sort of as a side note: i remember in elementary school, early on (this might have just been my school/city/state), the school set up one of those mobile classrooms on the yard and would pull kids out for like a good couple months to do eye exams. because we've normalized that kids also have eye problems and thats normal. and maybe, could we also get a small little assessment. just to see if we can find neurodivergent kids early on and get them help so that they don't suffer for years and years.
and i'm not talking as someone who has had it hard. i have had it so easy compared to so many others. i have supportive parents and get good grades, and yet, i am constantly burnt out. i constantly feel horrible. not just because of depression. maybe i'm being too radical here but i feel like i shouldn't need a 504 plan to say that if i'm having a panic attack i can leave the room. that if i'm having trouble focusing i can go to the library or somewhere else. that i can get extensions on due dates. that i can see a copy of the notes or lesson for reference. i don't know maybe i'm just incredibly radical that i think people shouldn't have to be expected to work four times as hard to get anything done and then get blamed when they don't live up to the expectation. whether or not they are neurodivergent.

Not dysphoric culture, sorry, but does mod have any tips on socially transitioning, especially in school? I’m not even out yet, but I like to make plans for what I’m gonna do to make me feel less stuck in the closet, but I’ve only ever really thought about medical transition and don’t really know how to go about socially transitioning. (Afab, nonbinary, want to be perceived as neutral/masculine, if that’s any help)
Don’t apologize anon, mod is here to (try) to give advice!
Mod actually came out at school a couple of years ago (a conservative middle/high school where mod was one of the first publicly out not binary people) so. Here is some stuff.
Support:
Find a good friend group, and ideally also a decent guidance counselor who will not out you before you’re ready
Some fake friends will continue to misgender and deadname you. If this continues for months on end and you keep reminding them, they may not be a real friend
Meet other queer and trans people in your school! Join a GSA/acceptance club if there’s one! Find a trans person in your school that’s older than you and ask them for advice!!
Older trans people in your school can sometimes help you buy gender-affirming products (ex: if they can have it shipped to their house and can use their card, and then you pay them back in cash, for safety reasons etc) or queer merch.
If you want your name and gender marker to be changed in the school’s system you often have to go through the guidance department. Depending on where you live you do not need parental consent for this and do not let the guidance department bully you into it. You shouldn't need a court order either
Google classroom/digitization of education has made life harder for trans students because you will see the wrong name and pronouns listed everywhere. Schools with ID cards have this problem but worse because even if you cover up the name with a sticker, whenever your ID is scanned it will out you. Some places even require students to scan IDs to use the bathroom- a double nightmare for trans students.
Student pictures are cringe. Try to dress as gender-affirming as possible for picture day and remember that you’re likely only being photographed from the shoulders up (chest dysphoria = not your biggest problem)
Not all school systems have a nonbinary marker. Mod’s school pretended not to have one and it took some digging and anxious waiting to get one (mod has since gotten it, is one of the first students in the school’s history to have one, and is spreading resources to other trans and nonbinary students in the school community). For you anon if you can’t get an X/O/N/etc marker you can get a M, which may not be completely accurate but it might make you less dysphoric as compared to a F
Yearbooks might have pre-transition photos of you or even elementary school photos of you so try to speak to someone on the yearbook committee/club about it. Senior year in general can be a nightmare if you’re trans/nb because so many pictures are taken of you and a lot of old photos/letters are dug up
The uncomfortable stuff:
You need to use the bathroom especially if you do after-school activities. This is non-negotiable and far too many trans people (especially transmascs + nonbinary people who were AFAB) get UTIs by avoiding the bathroom all day. Using a public bathroom may be dysphoria inducing but having to see a urologist/gynecologist is much worse. But it’s true that school bathrooms suck! Find one that is the least suck-y (clean, not used very often, ideally gender-neutral) and try to use that one. Not all schools have a gender neutral bathroom, and the ones that do may only have one dirty, single-person bathroom for the entire school (like mod’s). For your case specifically anon if you feel you pass well enough/don’t pass but have enough support at school you can try to use the men’s room. The thing about using the men’s restroom is you have to walk in with confidence (fake confidence is okay too!) and act unbothered.
Mod has never heard of a gender-neutral school locker room, at least below the college level, ever. The good thing is that a lot of students no longer have to change for gym, or that some schools will give nonbinary students the option of changing in the gender neutral bathroom instead. (At mod’s school, their ‘nonbinary inclusive’ policy [which likely did not exist until mod asked about it] is that nonbinary students can choose which gendered locker room they’d like to use! How very inclusive and totally not avoiding the problem! [sarcasm]) You can ask a gym teacher to keep your bag in their office or leave your bag in the gym to avoid the locker rooms.
Your peers:
They might be transphobic, they might be supportive, or they might just not care. Either way they will probably misgender you purely because they knew you pre-transition. Mod has people in school that mod went to elementary school with and many of them are literally the worst. It's a horrible feeling to know that some people will always see you as [deadname and what your AGAB was] even if you 'pass' or correct people. But unless you transfer to another school there is nothing you can do about that.
Just find people who support you, ideally fellow trans people, and ignore those guys.
Transitioning:
You've probably seen a bunch of tips for gender presentation and might have done some already. For masculine/masc-leaning neutral some are: men's clothing, shorter hair, makeup to contour, binding/packing, layered clothing, etc. Some behavioral changes are voice training (do not rely only on T to change your voice if that's your plan!), taking on more masculine speech patterns, walking more confidently, exercising (target certain areas to create a more masculine shape), etc.
The actual coming out part:
Coming out is scary. Friends can encourage you, but you also have to come out to them first.
Most teachers mod has talked to about being queer have been at least polite/tolerant about it. There hasn’t been any outright hostility, but there has been more subtle transphobia. And mod uses neopronouns in a conservative place! The only major issue was when mod sent a teacher an email about mod’s pronouns + nb inclusive curriculum and he sent the email to the principal without asking (wild stuff. He agreed to use they/them for mod, but also denied taking responsibility for his curriculum excluding queer people).
If you want to come out at school but not at home, you can email/talk to your teachers in person and tell them to call you ___ in school and your deadname/wrong pronouns in front of your parents. Some counselors will email your teachers for you if you’re scared of your parents reading your emails/searching your device
You can write your chosen name almost wherever you want! You do not need it changed it the system to use it and especially if you’re writing on paper you can use it.
You are your biggest advocate! You need to get really good at standing up for yourself. Catering to or being nice to transphobes will usually not help you. You will probably need to push people: 'my pronouns are ____' not 'I prefer ____', 'what is the policy on nonbinary students, and if one doesn't exist how are we going to make one' not 'is there a nonbinary policy', 'I will wear the _____ uniform' not 'is it ok for trans people to wear the _____ uniform', 'call me ____' not 'um I have a preferred name and it's ____ is that okay', 'how will you make room for me' not 'can you make room for me' etc. It is not rude to be assertive! Transphobes will call you rude for simply existing in a way they don't like. Make sure to be clear about what you need and don't give them room to evade your requests. Nonbinary students who will come to your school several years from now will thank you.
It’s good that you’re planning ahead for coming out anon because that can make it less overwhelming, but overthinking can also really get you. If planning your coming out (which may or may not happen soon) starts to only stress you out and not give you any joy then you maybe need to take a break.
There's a lot more stuff but this is just a general overview so if you have more specific questions please send in another ask! Good luck anon!
