El Payasa

El Payasa is a complete sweetheart. She loves performing her tricks for people and she gives great hugs :)

She came into existence when I randomly doodled her on an assignment once and now she has an entire group of friends. At one point I considered making her entirely out of candy, her clothes hair and skin made of fondant, her mouth nose and tongue out of taffy, her finger pads and organs out of gummies, bones of hard candy, muscles of cake with frosting gluing the skin to cake, and her teeth gum. I scrapped the idea though because the kids would try to eat her and we don’t want that, and she’d probably be too unstable to properly perform. I will probably use the living dessert idea for something else.

I don’t think the gods understand what makes a suitable gift for modern humans.

Will I draw this as a proper comic? Probably not but I thought the idea was funny and thus I am releasing it upon the world.

Angel Curator Concept!

I made her a marble statue because it felt fitting for someone who resides in a museum, and in contrast to the narrator, she is radiant with light, bathing her space in it.

The triangle windows will definitely be adjusted to feel more fitting to her and her true form, but having each one show different things, most not being in the form of something human felt like it made sense. Again, the proportions are a bit off and she needs to be bigger, Stanley should fit in the palm of her hand.

I kinda prefer how I drew her originally on the left, but I can adjust. On the top right corner is what she looks like when upset, distorting and cracking away from her marble body.

Here are the concepts for the siblings shadow forms! These are still not the finals as I want to refine them and try to make The Narrator at least a little more original.

The differences in stylings are somewhat reflective of their stories. I also wanted to include microphones in their designs, but I couldn’t really figure out what to do with The Director.

These sketches are about 2 years old except the first sketch which is about a year old.

Here’s something I created back in 2023! I remember this being the first piece of fanart that I managed to create a proper background for and finish. It’s a little wonky looking at it now but I’m still proud with how it turned out!

For some added context as to why The Narrator looks like that, back in middle school I had this idea for a disease that would slowly turn people to stone. I thought out how it affected the body, quarantine and treatment methods, and stages of infection. It acted a bit like the zombie-ant fungus, where it would drive people to freeze in different poses as they turned to stone. And while I didn’t know it while I was making it, when I told my father about the quarantine methods I’d come up with and he mentioned that it was similar to the quarantine methods of tuberculosis.

Anyways, I decided I was gonna turn The Narrator to stone and thought, what if during the epilogue after the skip, Stanley was wandering around and found The Narrator’s old office and found him completely turned to stone, so I made this. Enjoy!
