It's kinda poetic that most of the Jedi who survive 66 are younglings or half trained Padawans. Cause for all the propaganda painting the Jedi as baby stealers who sentenced those children to death, every single one of those Jedi are children whose Masters did everything in their power to keep that baby alive - even when it meant their own death.

Padawans wearing armor so that their clones can stop having heart attacks because they wanted to match their older brothers. The clones are extremely pleased. Side eyeing their Generals hoping they will follow the padawans lead (except for Jaro Tapal, because he wears his armor the whole time like a good Lasat always would, and seeing Cal walk out in his new armor made him so proud)

Been seeing comment on the Acolyte. People acting the whole:
“She was a child!”
“You brought her here.”
Was a good gotcha moment against the Jedi or “he makes a good point.” One dude even said “can’t argue with that.”
Watch me.
Killing Jecki
First of all, Sol did not bring Jecki to fight Mae’s Master. He brought her as a part of an ongoing investigation that she’s been a part of and they were going to try to warn a fellow Jedi and/or make an arrest on Mae. He DID NOT KNOW that the would encounter essentially a Sith.
Qimir didn’t have to kill her. Jedi have knocked out enemies and he could’ve as well.
“It was self defense” OH??? He attacked the Jedi first. He was out to KILL. HE made that choice. Y’all don’t excuse Anakin slaughtering younglings so why this guy? Because he’s a Sith? (We’ll get into that and “Force monopoly” in a minute).
“It’s commentary on how Jedi put their Padawans in danger!”
What does Sol and other Jedi do when suddenly facing a greater danger expected with their Padawans? What’s the order? Run. MAYBE another order like “get these people out” “or finish this original plan and leave.” But still, it’s to get their Padawans to safety. They will hold off the enemy to give their students safety. They even go as far as sacrificing themselves to do so.
“He’s a Sith what did you expect?”
Briefly touching this. It’s not because of my expectations of Sith, I know they do horrid things. It’s why y’all are excusing the action, especially just to spite the Jedi?
“Jedi were not letting anyone outside their Order to use the Force!”
I see this often and I’m worried this is what the show going for, so I’m gonna debunk this right now.
It’s not disallowing others using the Force. There are so many other cultures that use the Force and the Jedi usually leave them alone. (Nightsisters, for example). It when people are using the Force to create disharmony, to cause HARM to others and themselves that they intervene.
The Sith are literally a culture of Force Users who do horrendous things for their own gain. They will torture and kill just because. Who wiped out the Nightsisters in the Clone Wars? Oh yeah, SITH. (They didn’t even do it themselves. They sent out the asthmatic cyborg.)
The Coven? The Jedi didn’t say “stop using the Force, you’re not allowed to have it.” They came because, at the time I’m writing this, (half an hour before episode 6 is released), they fled intentionally away from Republic space to do something that warranted the Jedi to investigate. Also it was the JEDI asking the kids what they wanted. It was, at the least, most of the Coven telling the children how evil the Jedi are and they are not allowed to join them.
This characterization isn’t just an Acolyte problem or even solely fandom. It’s been an issue even with Old Republic writings (and this is coming from someone who LOVES the Old Republic era).

Young Padawan Commanders: real or Filoni-fever-dream?
Ok genuinely really important question I just thought of that I’ve never seen anyone address.
So nothing I can remember in the prequel trilogy indicates that young Padawans were directly involved in the war. The closest thing I can imagine to evidence of that is that there were some padawans younger than Anakin (like Barriss Offee) at Geonosis, but no one was actually expecting resistance at Geonosis, let alone the slaughter by the droid army. There definitely weren’t any Caleb Dune/Cal Kestis aged kids there.
Question being, was young padawans being made commanders canon to anything before Dave Filoni invented Ahsoka?
Frankly we see a young Padawan once in ROTS and he’s at the temple only fighting because of the clones attacking his home, not out on a battle field (surely we would see some kids die in Order 66 putside the temple if they were with their masters on battlefields?). The prequel trilogy literally treats killing children as the worst possible thing you can do, and having very young commanders just getting casually killed off throughout the war would be such a deeply weird contradiction of the image of Anakin standing over the younglings. “They did nothing to stop kids being soldiers” is one of the arguments that always gets brought up about the Jedi being evil or totally corrupt people unable to recognize that war=1800-bad-for-kids and I just gotta say if that whole genre of evidence was invented by Mr. Anti-Jedi-Vaguery himself… Clone wars is a kids show, even more than the trilogies, so I do understand the need for young protagonists, but to take that storytelling necessity and twist it into evidence against the premises of the prequels is…it’s something alright.
Whoever knows the deep lore please inform me—it can go either way—if there really were young Padawan commanders in the original vision that’s a really strong argument about the systematic power and fear-based, cruel actions by the Senate, I just would love to know
Edit: question answered in several different ways! I will get around to summarizing them at some point.

Padawans.
Idk what’s up with the quality on the Obi-Wan and Anakin one. Me and procreate are learning how to combine into one artistic monster at a snail’s pace, so they’re just going to have to be fuzzy.

Cant help but compare…
Surprise SW OC content feat @ndekvart s boy Leon!
Dji has always felt her connection to the force to be potentially volatile at all times, so she comes to visualize it as a snake. Her friend Leon’s spark in the force has always felt peaceful and calming to her.
Whether Dji can actually see other peoples force signatures, or if it’s her own imagining of what Leon’s looks like based on how it feels in the force is up to you. I made it artistically vague. ✨

"You must be flexible in both emotion and action, so that you may constantly learn and grow. Like roots through stone and branches reaching for the sky, you must stand strong and reach out freely."
Honestly just wanted to test out some skin tones and such, and it is always good to do complex pose studies. Something something practice and warm ups XD But honestly it was also just really fun.
ALSO, this is based and inspired by the Bonded AU that I share with @bucketking which you can find more wonderful information here! I have been absolutely living for the padawan shenanigans (which basically means all the trouble you can get up to from 16-24 years old), and this will not be the last you will see or hear of them, especially padawan Obi-Wan. Love all these fools 🧡
Enjoy!

Clones had never heard of the concept of not cursing in front of kids (that isn't even a universal concept on Earth) and now all the padawan commanders can curse like sailors.
