After years of wanting one, but not being able to justify the price tag, I finally treated myself to a PS5. It's been an incredibly rewarding weekend getting to play Spiderman 2 for hours upon hours and not have to worry about work for a while. It's been a stressful year, especially these last few weeks, and I still have a ton of stuff to get done before our winter break, so this was a much needed respite to relax and recharge for the next couple weeks.

anyway i was watching the ign review (desperate for content until the game actually comes out) and i saw a clip that i never saw before ??? like did i skip a trailer or smth??? because it was a flashback scene of young arakawa killing this hikawa family dude and like? i was not aware that existed. so weird.

ANYWAY that scene was also the one where the screenshot of him covered in blood we got a couple months ago came from. fun :3

02/17/25: Late Night videogame gets! On a break at work, I saw a marketplace post about videogames. The guy had ps4, ps5, and switch games at $10 each. I messaged him and said I could meet him after my shift ended at 10pm. He was okay with that and I drove 20 minutes to the next town to see him. He had already sold a few I kinda wanted. But he had other good ones too. So I got four Switch games and one of each of ps4 and ps5. Sadly, one game came out a bit of a dud. In the Dark poorly lit street, the Monster Hunter Rise game was sealed and looked fine. But now that I'm home, the game got wet at some time and it got under the plastic wrap, warping the paper. I just opened it right now and the game looks fine. But I definitely would've picked something else if I saw it during the day. Oh well. And finally on the way home, I stopped by that towns Walmart just as it was closing. I got a Karate Kid switch game for $15. I got lucky there too. Deals can come at any time! Gotta be ready!

I Need to play Sonic x Shadow Generations, I Need to, but I can't decide what version to get. On the one hand physical media is my beloved and there doesn't seem to be a physical ps4 release. On the other hand I did some googling and it seems the switch version doesn't run as well. I don't buy video games that often and I can't tell if it "doesn't run as well" as in it has slightly lower frame rates and resolution (I don't care) or if there are problems with the controls or it lagging enough to actually interfere with me playing it.
