Mr. Ragdoll :ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤCharacter Background

A vague background of of Mr. Ragdoll explains that in chapter 1, and other few chapters, MC have encountered a few things which have shown his subtle appearances. The porcelain doll in the hallway somewhere in the starting of chapter 1 where MC has only started to find her way out alone and Mr. Crawling only intends to follow.

Exhibit A :

This time where she saw that porcelain doll was when she should have known that there was an another presence with them (only Mr. Crawling did). On the other hand, Mr. Ragdoll who has felt that there is someone new with them in the underworld has him interested. Sending one of his collections to see who it was (MC). Ending up his precious possession going to waste after being broken by her because of Mr. Crawling's advice to break it.

Exhibit B :

Mr. Ragdoll took the doll after them leaving the scene.

The following event where she and Mr. Crawling saw four teddy bears; one big, two with a same size, and one that has a torn leg, were also Mr. Ragdoll's possessions.

[insert from my scratches] * His relations with the other characters are pretty neutral except for Mr. Stitch and Hooded Child, they always try to get too careless around his things that one of his creations were destroyed. Hinting that one teddy bear with a torn leg in one of the routes. He didn't want to throw it so he just put in a place with the three other teddy bears, knowing he can go see them everytime he wants.

His appearances in the game isn't as relevant as the others which is similar to Mr. Wheelchair, but it's not deniable that Mr. Ragdoll has also taken his own interest towards the MC.

Little more details about him that I made.

Mr. Ragdoll 's face has stitches that includes his mouth, as this hinders his ability to communicate, the only way he can express himself by words is a pen and a paper. Since Mr. Ragdoll has his own place for making dolls, he probably has the materials. If other monsters can be understood by speaking their language, he speaks by writing poorly Nihongo characters that will look just as the same as the language characters you see in the game. The reason why he can't be out there and talk to anyone is because it will be hard for him to communicate in his condition he caused himself (which was stupid). He's also unable to communicate when there's danger so he will definitely take actions without a word.

Mr. Ragdoll eats human flesh the same as what other monsters eat, but he doesn't slaughter people for it. Instead, he eats human flesh from dead people (sometimes left overs from Mr. Silvair's/Silver's experiments). But if MC kills for him for food then he wouldn't mind, as if he can do anything about what she will do anyway.

One of the reasons for his quite blood stained appearance is because of Mr. Machete, after a few moments of him having turned into a monster. He came across Mr. Machete on the same path where MC found him. Mr. Machete challenged him by throwing the weapon he has and having Mr. Ragdoll severely injured on the shoulder, but he's not one to step back on a fight either so he went for a 1 on 1 with the bigger one. Ending up losing because he has no weapon and only injured on different parts of his body.

Mr. Ragdoll was originally a human who also has been trapped in the underworld. Unfortunately, being unable to get out that took him more than long enough has made him turn into one of the monsters and forget his sense of identity except for the fact that he was once a human. And he would admit about how much he wants to go back as a human, even though he is not the type to express himself a lot, not even to MC.

Mr. Ragdoll likes dolls even back in his human days, as he believed that things like dolls can possess life like normal humans, or for his metaphoric expression—that stuffed toys or dolls can give the same warmth like humans do. (He also used to be a doll maker back then.)

His form/appearance shows his fondness for dolls, but in the literal sense—it's quite displeasing. An unsettling side fact of him is that his obsession for dolls got worse when he knew that his body can regenerate or not kill him after morphing into a monster. That made him tear his left arm and sew the deep and severe wound as he would love to look like a doll himself. The stitches on his face are a part of that desire too, except for his mouth that he didn't like because of his attempt to give it a beautiful cut upwards, but it failed and only ending up stitching it close. It makes him unable to talk. The reason why the stitch on his lips are upside down is to prevent some flesh from dangling out. The stitches on his other body parts are also because of the doll getup he desires to achieve.

Mr. Ragdoll 's favorite doll is that porcelain doll MC broke, he tried fixing it again after taking it away when they left it. That's why the doll can still be seen somewhere.

A side fact, Mr. Ragdoll created a doll that looks like MC out of his interest, he's not shown that throughout the game however. As he preferred hiding himself from the attention. He is already contented with the doll he has.

I always wondered why they don't nickname Chilchuck to "Chil". Because Chilchuck is quite a long name, it's way easier calling him just Chil. And then this.

It's all the opposite of how it would normally work. Usually, people call each other by their first (or second sometimes) names, but when they're called by the full thing... it means either nothing good is happening, or they're being called in a formal way.

Isn't imposible to think that the party actually called him Chil, since it's his first name and a nice nickname for him. In fact, they probably did, and Chilchuck told them they shouldn't call him that and explained why. They stopped calling him Chil, and accepted calling him Chilchuck for the rest of their lifes, apparently. Actually, we don't see anybody calling him like that until...

Laios tries to get his attention with something that normally would. Calling him his first name, something that he told them specifically not to do doesn't even makes him flinch. And then he's sure that Chilchuck is out of it and proceeds to intervene.

It's such a subtle detail, I don't remember if they call him "Chil" on other panels, if they do, reblog with evidence so we have all the oficial Chil moments here.

[ID: A black and white, digital Trigun comic of Vash and Wolfwood. In the first panel is a close up of Wolfwood's mouth as he says, "Vash". Accompanying it is a close up shot of Vash's eye, widen and cheeks flushed. Wolfwood presses a knee against the open space between Vash's legs and says, "Tell me everything you want from me." Wolfwood's face is equally as flushed. He continues to say, "I'll give it to you. Everything." As he talks, a wide shot shows the both of them in white space. Vash is sitting, leaning a little back with both hands pressed against the surface he's sitting on. Wolfwood is in his white dress shirt, stripped of the blazer. The shot closes in on Vash's mouth and Wolfwood's hand against it, pressing down on the lower lip as he says, "You have to ask though. Go on." His hand moves down to Vash's chin, gently holding it. With a shy and uncertain expression, Vash hesitantly asks, "Um... K... Kiss... Please?" Wolfwood, without wasting a second, leans in and kisses him and indulges by pressing deeper, eliciting a small noise of surprise from Vash.

Wolfwood moves away from Vash first and with a smile, asks, "What else?" Vash tugs on Wolfwood's left sleeve, wordlessly budging Wolfwood to give him his hand that was still behind his back. In the next panel, Vash utters, "Hold me..?" He's holding Wolfwood's left hand with his own while his right hand is reaching for his waist. Wolfwood complies, moving his left hand to Vash's shoulder and his right hand continues to touch Vash's cheek. Wolfwood asks again, "What else?"

More comfortable now, Vash leans in to kiss Wolfwood. Wolfwood catches him immediately, pressing his thumb against Vash's lips to stop him before demanding, "Hey. Ask." Vash looks back in surprise and Wolfwood meets his eye with a quiet, insistent look. They're quiet for a moment before Vash leans in again and curtly requests, "Kiss. Me." Wolfwood says "Good", smiling as he lifts his hand away, and meets Vash's lips. In the next shot, Wolfwood had adjusted his position, sitting on Vash's thigh. The hand that was once on Vash's cheek has moved its way to Vash's nape, pushing away the collar of his jacket with his pinky. His other hand continues to grip on Vash's shoulder. Still kissing, Wolfwood asks again, "What else?"

In the next shot, Vash is starting to turn, moving Wolfwood with him. Vash asks, "Let me on top of you?" Wolfwood says, "Mhm" before asking again, "What else?" The next panel shows a close look of Vash's face. He's looking down, flushed and shy just as he had been at the beginning, but now, more decisive. Vash asks, "Wolfwood... Let me have you..?" A panel of Wolfwood taking Vash's hand into his, pulling it towards his chest. The next panel shows Wolfwood lying down where Vash had laid him. Vash's hand is on Wolfwood's chest, covering the cross of his rosary while Wolfwood's hand lingers against his, loosely pressing Vash's hand in place. He looks up at Vash with a shy smile of his own, flushed cheeks. He says, "All yours."

A panel shows a close up of Vash's tender gaze before he leans down to be closer to Wolfwood. The final shot is a front view of their positions, Vash's face turned away from the viewer; Vash is leaning over Wolfwood who's lying down with his right leg draped over Vash's legs. Wolfwood's left hand holds onto Vash's left arm. With finality, Vash says, "...Mine." End ID]

[ID: A follow up bonus comic in a looser, sketchier style. They're laying comfortably in bed when Vash asks, "What was that earlier?" referecing to the start of the previous comic. Wolfwood glances away and says, "To get you used to it. Asking. And getting what you ask for. Since you're alwasy hesitant about it." Vash's eyes widen, tight lipped. Wolfwood continues, "Knowing you, it'll be a tough habit to break..." When he says this, Vash can't help but laugh, unable to deny it. Wolfwood slowly brings a hand to Vash's cheek and continues to say, "So I'll keep trying -- whatever ways I can... to get it through your thick skull." Vash takes Wolfwood's hand with his, kissing the the palm gently. Wolfwood's eyes soften and holding onto Vash's cheek, he leans in to try for a kiss. Vash says, "Hey..." before stopping Wolfwood's lips with the back of his hand, a smug look on his face, "Ask." Wolfwood's embarrassed and with little irritation, asks, "Really?" Vash smiles, saying, "You're in need of practice too." They pause for a moment, Wolfwood looking contemplatively, before he's leaning in again, asking, "May I please kiss you?" Vash looks him in the eyes and says, "Yes." The comic ends with a "chu", indicating an off-panel kiss. End ID]
