More about me
I have insulin-resistant PCOS. So far I've visibly lost weight through walking and eating more vegetables. I don't check my weight on a scale it does nothing for me personally. I currently struggle with hirsutism which for those who don't know is basically excess male-patterned hair growth. I'm a super girly woman and I also hate pain so it's been tough dealing with that.
I've healed my relationship with my mom and also with how I view men over about 7 months. Obviously, it's been a lifelong process, but since, I started my podcast, "Tunde's Burner, my mindset took a turn for the better.
I want to get back in the gym to have a "sexy" back and bigger glutes. I don't currently have a gym so I'm doing the most with my two 5lbs dumbbells I stole from my mom (LOL) and my resistance bands.
I am a spiritual/highly intuitive person. This is my way of retreating while still being connected in some way. I've always wanted to just post my cute pictures on Pinterest and go live a fulfilling life. I think me going this route will lead me right back to where I left off. Such is the alchemist's journey.
I'll be posting what I eat, insights I gather along the way, progress pics, pictures from my travels, etc.
This will be a mixture of a moodboard/manifestation journal and me documenting the most pivotal changes in my life.
Thanks for coming along.
With love,
Tunde

I'm annoyed because I'm going to get my period during this weekend's camping trip, and I had the thought, "What if I were to change the pace at which I take my birth control pills to hold off my period until Monday?"
And, yeah, sure, go ahead, person with PCOS who has achieved a delicate hormonal balance through a lot of hard work, play alchemist with yourself just so you're not slightly inconvenienced

Well fuck me sideways with a protein bar - turns out I'm as thick as two short planks when it comes to marketing bollocks. Got proper mugged off by these "Carb Killa" bars. Thought I was being all healthy and shit, like some sort of wellness influencer who hasn't discovered wine yet. Turns out these bastards have more carbs than my nan's Christmas pudding. 13 bloody grams! Might as well be mainlining sugar straight into my veins. About as "keto-friendly" as a bread sandwich.
Then Tesco, that absolute cathedral of disappointment, was out of my PCOS powder. Had to schlep to this pretentious health food shop that looks like someone's taken a Whole Foods and given it a trust fund. Proper wanky place - all recycled bamboo flooring and judgmental staff who probably shit quinoa. Everything costs more than a monthly therapy sessions and comes with a free side of moral superiority.
Found my powder though! But - because the universe loves a good laugh - only the vegan version was left. Thought "how bad could it be?" which are basically famous last words at this point, right up there with "watch this" and "I'm sure x from accounting is trustworthy."
Mixed it up like usual and holy fucking hell. Texture's like someone's liquidized a building site. Chalkier than a maths teacher's nervous breakdown. Trying to drink it was like performing oral hygiene with cement.
Even tried doctoring it up with chocolate syrup like I'm some sort of protein shake alchemist. Might as well have tried to make a Big Mac halal. This stuff could probably strip paint. Actually, might save some for when I need to repaint the bathroom.
Note to self: Stop trying to be healthy. It's clearly a scam invented by people who enjoy suffering. Stick to what you know - crying into a family-size bag of Doritos while watching true crime documentaries.
P.S. Wonder if I can return opened vegan protein powder? Probably not.
P.P.S. If anyone asks about the strange concrete-like substance in the office kitchen sink, I was definitely not here today. I was... somewhere else. Probably plotting world domination. Or napping.

UPDATED + A NEW LOOK TO THE BLOG! The Mad Sorceress Grimoires
A Virtual Grimoire Written from a Chronic-Illness and Trauma-informed Perspective. Restoration Magic for Creatives and Magicians.
Your Fairy of the Fountain on your unique Hero's Quest to Healing.
Hi, everyone! My name is Sam, and I have been diagnosed with Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome since 2014, and Adenomyosis since 2018. I enrolled in a natural medicine in school in 2022 where I began learning about herbal medicine, healing diets, and quantum botanicals. I am a writer + blogger, and on my website, I journal about reclaiming personal power and healing through the help of inner-alchemy, astrology, synergetic herbs, the occult, medical astrology, Astro-nutrition, archaic religions, and esotericism.
What is The Mad Sorceress Grimoires?
A Grimoire is a book with spells and incantations written in it. Grimoire comes from the Old French “grammaire”, which referred to all books that were written in Latin at the time. “Grammaire” comes from the Greek “grammatikos”.
This blog is meant to be a collection of works. Here is the breakdown of the blog:
Chapter 01: Inner-Sorcery
In this chapter, I share my experience with healing, self-care, ritual, and art from the perspective of someone with chronic-pain, stress, and anxiety. If you want to know more, click on the link above to take you to the chapter.
Chapter 02: Womb/PCOS-Alchemy
This part of the blog is dedicated to leaning into a magical life from the perspective of someone who endures c-PTSD and chronic-illnesses. I will mention this a million times throughout this blog: I am not a licensed professional. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2013, and Adenomyosis in 2017. I am culling from lived experiences, and sharing that on this blog. Do not take my advice over the advice of licensed professionals who work with you directly. If you want to know more, click on the link above to take you to the chapter.
Chapter 03: Celestial Lessons
This is where I write about how certain Astrological Archetypes have manifested for me in my real life. I enjoy exploring astrology, and I use it as a means to enhance my life by bringing my joy. Whether by natal or transit, I take a deep dive on the lessons that I’ve learned. Astrology is not meant to replace therapy from licensed professionals. If you want to know more, click on the link above to take you to the chapter.
Chapter 04: Bleak + Brooding Reveries
I have recently opened my poetry blog back up! I have been inspired by automatic writing my entire life. A lot of my words come from hypnagogic experiences, meditative states, or automatic writing sessions. If you want to know more, click on the link above to take you to the chapter.
Chapter 05: The Holographic Herbal
Coming soon! As of July 2022, I became a student of Quantum Botanicals and Natural Medicine. During these modules, I experiment with certain herbs. I write about my experience with them. I enjoy learning about their chemical constituents, folk lore, history, and - OF COURSE - I want to know what the occultists had to say about them. This chapter merges Medical Astrology, Astro-Nutrition, Astro-Herbalism, Color, archaic religions, and more. Stay tuned. If you want to know more, click on the link above to take you to the chapter.
Never diagnose yourself without speaking to a medical professional. I am not a certified Medical Astrologer. Regardless, astrology is not meant to take the place of Health Care from licensed professionals. Astrology is meant for entertainment purposes only. Please read my Terms & Conditions for more.

🌿+————••••••
If you are not seeing results on a “plant-focused diet”, try focusing more on gut-healing, hormone-regulating, liver-supporting, and anti-inflammatory healing botanicals to add your recipes!
+———-••••••
I’ve had personal experience and improvement with both PCOS and Adenomyosis when navigating food in this way. Remember: not everyone is created the same. What works for one person, may not work for the other. My advice for anything: experiment, monitor your symptoms, and decide if something is beneficial to your or not.
+————•••••
It is my animist, Strega, and inner-alchemist duty to remind you that you are the only person who knows what is best for your body when you start listening to its cues. No one can tell you what works for you. If something doesn’t resonate- drop it.
