Some Humans from Fun Pub's Shattered Glass
Decided to practice 3/4 head drawing from what I learned from Figure Drawing class then practicing it on these guys.
They're quite obscure to say the least. As well as the Witwicky Brothers who have no appearance in the SG text stories but just little descriptions so I took creative liberty, hard to believe that one of them only appeared in a coloring book. Bruce is said to be like based on Sam so I used that guy as ref.
At least the Kids and the Professor have like 1-2 appearances from the few illustrations from the text stories while Sephie got a bit more than that and in a 4 panel comic

I was watching the Shockmaster incident and trying to figure out who says "I told ya" right after he falls through the wall. Little did I expect that the answer would come from good ol' Sid Vicious.
The way Dusty Rhodes told the story, everything went fine in rehearsal, and Fred Ottman had no trouble busting through the wall. But when they set up a new wall for the live broadcast, there was a two-by-four in place that hadn't been there before. According to Sid, he pointed out that Fred probably wouldn't be able to see the board with his Shockmaster helmet on, but nobody listened to him. Sid thinks you can "vaguely" hear him say he told them so--oh yeah, brother, I could hear you loud and clear.

X-Men: Days of Future Past - The Rogue Cut (Recommend movie)
Tumblr media
 The complete version.
Cutting Rogue out at all was such a dumb decision, she didn't have as big a role in the movies as she did in the cartoon or comics, but she definitely carried the team this time, across timelines lmfao.
So leaving her out for runtime was booty logic, especially considering Disney had no issue releasing Endgame (a 3 hour movie)

It's the subtle guitar riffs throughout the track for me, sheesh 0:31
Ottman brought his S-Tier game for this, back with a vengeance.

Almost everybody is familiar with this early horror gem by Jaume Collet-Serra featuring the one and only Paris Hilton... Right?
Released in 2005, it follows the story of a group of youngsters who get lured into an outskirt abandoned town where nobody seems to be except for a rigged amount and placement of (inanimate) wax figures... The fact that Paris Hilton is co-starring in this usually results in people laughing away at this movie, not deserved, at all... Even though the storyline etc. is cliché, this is an actually deeply disturbing and disgusting nailbiter of a film, I recommend, but consider yourself warned! (The scene with Jared Padaleki on the piano...)
John Ottman, who we know from scoring The Usual Suspects, Cruel Intentions & Incognito (to name only a few) delivers an unforgettable, spine-chilling, nasty "down my throat or up her backside" score.
It sometimes reminds me of Harry Manfredini's score for Friday The 13th part 6: Jason Lives: orchestral to the bone, nagging violins, prehistoric kicks & drums and ear wrenching volumes without the loosy goosy atmosphere from Jason Lives.
Under the term "assignment received & understood" we can say John Ottman did very, very well.
Listen to the full (never before released) recording sessions score here: House Of Wax
That's hot!

Absolutely gorgeous poster and the music is beautiful. I'm not sure how I feel about the John Williams motif at the end but overall incredible.
Edit: I've decided how I feel, and knowing it incorporates Hans Zimmer, John Ottman, and John Williams I'm all for it. Paying respects to the each of the other composers while also adding something new. No wonder this movie was called Superman Legacy because that theme of paying respect to the past while moving into the future is so present throughout all of the creative choices we've seen from this movie

BIG BUBBA (aka Fred Ottman, Tugboat, Typhoon, Shockmaster) autographed Polaroid, taken at a Texas All-Star Wrestling show at Gilley's in Pasadena, Texas, summer 1986. "Cowboy" Scott Casey is in the background, the two kids are myself and my younger brother. Photo taken by my mom, from my personal collection.
