BR Ambedkar, India's first law minister, had rightfully said, "Caste system is not merely a division of labour. It is also a division of labourers." The one space where Muslim, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes communities find themselves overrepresented is the informal economy which employs over eighty percent of the work force. This implies that the most socially oppressed are, as a majority, doomed to work in the most precarious jobs in the country while decision-making for their communities around resource allocation and policy happens in their absence. There is a need to critically examine how the development sector and the civil society allow systemic inequalities to persist in its design and foundation. The lack of scrutiny has led to the misconception that some uniqueness exists in the sector. Organisations are able to avoid addressing these issues by issuing tired banalities such as "we do not see caste and religion." In reality, this is a refusal to acknowledge their existence, preventing us from imagining a more equal system of relations.

I truly can’t believe I have to say this but I am so so sick of some people my age (namely those who are tiktok users, and therefore are deeply influenced by “woke” stereotypes about queer people and queer identities that are often perpetrated on that site) telling me that it’s weird to talk about growing up as a female or about experiencing sexism because I’m not a girl? and that it either “makes it seem like I’m not really queer” when I talk about my connection to girlhood or that these things “shouldn’t concern me.” because they very much do and that’s such an ridiculous and inconsiderate thing to say.

I was afab and whether I wanted it or not I was treated like a girl and experienced childhood as a girl. I am not out to many people in my life and in their eyes I am a girl.

as a genderqueer person I still experience and feel very connected to my girlhood and the solidarity that I have among girls and women because of shared experiences despite not often identifying as a girl myself. this is because of many factors including socialization, oppression and personal identity. truly can’t believe most people I know (and quite a lot of people online as well) still don’t understand that the oppression I have experienced as a queer person who was afab and the oppression I have experienced being seen as a girl are interconnected and that we have to address multiple layers of discrimination simultaneously if we want anything to change. this is. not new information. I can’t believe people don’t get this.

for now, though, she is living day by day, trying to hide who she is, what her family is know to worship and who she is from- she cut her hair short, she has an amulet that prevents her from being tracked that she stole, even going as far as using a fake name- eila.

in terms of dnd classes- steph has three levels in warlock from her upbringing, though she is aiming to one day free herself from the corrupt forces ( ie- nibbly, who she is trying to pull herself free from his commands and frequent nightmarish visions he sends her way ). she has multiple levels in rouge and will be taking various little levels in different subclasses based on those around her.

For a majority of children in government schools who are from marginalised communities and malnourished, garlic, onion and eggs form an important part of their diets, limited only by the factor of affordability. Eggs have been denied to children as part of the mid-day meals in schools for several years. Described as the ‘menstrual discharge’ of the hen, eggs are labelled as ‘sinful’, ‘violent’, and agitating the senses, with egg eaters deserving to be ‘destroyed’. If, instead of this unscientific propaganda, the nutritional value of eggs had been the primary deciding factor, children would have been given eggs as part of the mid-day meal scheme on 5 days of the week.
