"Hey, uh... MK?" Pigsy knocked on the door, opening it to see his son fighting with tying some sort of sash around his waist, cursing all the while. "The Monkey King wants to see you, said it's important."

MK glanced up, confused, before giving up on the robe and following Pigsy to where Wukong's room was. Since MK and the group had arrived later than Wukong, and wasn't officially part of the guest list, they weren't able to share the fancy apartments that were provided to the king during the summit, but Wukong had offered to pay for a less expensive set of rooms close to his own and kept an open door policy with them so that they could come and go as they please even if the menshen acting as security for his rooms had a bit of a mouth on them. As he approached one of them cleared his throat.

"Halt! Identify yourself!"

The one next to him snorted, nudging his partner,

"Zuǒshǒu, it is just the Monkey King's kid. Come to see his Highness, no doubt."

"Yòushǒu! We are tasked with protecting his Majesty and his quarters whilst the summit is afoot! We must be professional and guard against any intruders!" Zuóshŏu lectured the other guard, giving MK a severe glare, "Especially so if they are familiar with him."

"Yeah, its uh, it's okay. Monkey King asked for me." MK said, trying to mediate between the two menshen as they began to argue over whether or not denying entrance to someone inhibiting their suite trusted was necessary to their job. "Said he wanted to see me?"

Zuǒshǒu grunted, turning to his partner,

"Go check with his Majesty, verify his claim."

"You don't need to, I can hear your bickering from in here!" A muffled voice shouted out from behind the door, "Let MK in, he is my apprentice, he's always allowed in my rooms!"

Both door guardians stiffened before letting their rooms open, MK could hear them bickering over Wukong yelling at them as he stepped through them, muffled as the door slammed shut behind him. Wukong was glaring at the door pane, rubbing his temples as if he had a headache before leaving a great sigh.

"So you wanted to see me?" MK aksed his mentor, trying to get his mind off the annoying doors. Wukong smiled before motioning to follow him with his paw, jewels dangling from his ears.

Sun Wukong was in his formal robes, sans the facial jewels and makeup. As he passed by, the glint of a jade ring shone fork his tail, the piece of jewely seemingly been shines and polished with great care in spite of its otherwise unassuming design. MK couldn't help but feel somehow underdressed in the presence of the Monkey King, something be hadn't felt since he first became Wukong's student! Then again, MK muses as he followed, he'd never seen him in a formal setting where he had to dress and act like the regal king he was and had always been. The king led him deeper into the suite, to the bed chamber. An exquisite bed took up the majority of the room, with silken sheets and enough pillows to bury oneself in them. Wukong gestured for MK to sit on it while he began to dig for something under the bed, a secret safe under a floorboard.

"These rooms always have a secret spot under the floorboards or in the walls." Wukong explained when he noticed MK's questioning look, "For their guests' privacy. This luxury hotel is famous for being the preferred destination of many higher class demons and ambassadors who often carry sensitive documents. The location of the hidden caches are different for each room, but I've gotten quite good at spotting them. And as the doors have shown you, their security is very tight. Even the stash has a ward on it!"

"Oh." MK nodded along, he figured that'd make sense. This hotel catered mainly to demonic and celestial clientele, it'd make sense for there to be secrets. With a grunt of effort, the safe was lifted up and after a short hit opened.

"MK." Wukong said, as he looked over the contents. A box of some sort. "Before I give you this, I'd like to make a request. Could you join me at the party in your monkey form?"

It felt like ice ran through MK's veins. He can barely control that form and Wukong wanted him to do what!?

"I know you don't like it much, so I may be overstepping when I ask." Wukong continued, voice having an oddly gentle that eas always present but only during heart to hearts no one else was privy to, "But it'd mean... so much to me if you could wear this."

Wukong opened the box, revealing a yellowish green hoop on a plush cushion. MK's breath caught. It piece of jewelry was simple, not extravagant by any means, but Wukong had recently been teaching him how to recognize enchanted items ever since the incident with Azure happened. That hoop had a powerful protective ward on it.

"It's called a tail ring." Wukong explained, "it's a type of jewelry worn by demons with long tails, similar to how one might brais beads into a ponytail. For the monkeys of Flower Fruit Mountain, the Jade Ring is a symbol of leadership and royalty."

At this Wukong flicked his tails as if to make a point, bringing MK's attention to the deep green hoop his tail had on it. "While it isn't exactly the same... if you were to wear this yellow jade ring, it'd mark you as my heir and a member of my family. I'd already discussed this with your parents, they gave me their blessing. But the final say is up to you, MK."

Oooo, the dms we had about the "Celestial Summit" idea!

Pigsy and Tang were really touched once Wukong explained what he wanted to gift MK. Whilst the pigman and scholar are still MK's parents, the Monkey King would declare him a legal heir/decendant, not unlike the documents for a sworn brotherhood.

Wukong, even as the last surviving Stone Monkey of his troop, still wants to share whatever cultural traditions he can with MK. To give him the yellow jade tail ring is akin to granting him a princely crown.

Pigsy get really emotional; fearing that Wukong was asking him to give up his role as MK's father - but Wukong assured him that the pig demon would also be considered members of the King's family! He'd be a poor kinfolk not to include his pilgrim brother's decendants, and his successor's parents! Pigsy had to stop himself from crying from the sweet sentiment.

Also I love the chat we had about the door gods, and how they act a bit like the shrunken heads in Hotel Transylvania. XD Menshen are a collection of door gods that are painted or engraved on doors (especially important figures) to invoke the gods' protection. They can range from celestial, demonic, or even human origins. Notably in Jttw; the characters "All-Seeing" and "All-Hearing" in Jttw who report to the Jade Emperor about a weird baby monkey shooting lazers; are meant to be a pair of door gods representing the "eyes and ears" of the Jade Emperor. Whilst in the Emperor Taizong chapters of Jttw; a pair of human generals are honoured by painting them on the doors of the Emperor's room. There's even said to be a pair of menshen guarding the Peaches of Immortality. However, being individual gods, they can disagree with one another! XD

MK overall is feeling so jazzed and terrified. So many mixed positive and negative emotions sworling around what this yellow jade tail ring represents. What it means to be seen wearing it...

Yes! He is!

He's an older demon who served in the military, and went through a similar rehabilitation program to get him adjusted back into civilian life, and he was a troubled kid himself.

He's a pretty instrumental part of the rehabilitation process since he's one of the only ones willing to hire the people who come out of it.

He offers a cooking class at the rehab center, so they can learn some of the skills they might have missed out on and be able to cook for themselves so he doesn't always have to, he's still got a restaurant to run. Tang works there too as a second job, he teaches the inmates history and literature, if they are interested in it, for others he simply teaches them how to read so they can understand the world better.

He took an instant liking to Wukong, he saw a lot of his younger self in the kid, angry at the world for how it treated him, though Pigsy had his grandmother to keep him from going completely off the rails like Wukong did and he channeled that anger into enrolling in the military.

He's seen Wukong's criminal file and finds quite a few of the charges very sketchy, despite the confessions of the victim, and he concludes that a lot of them are bull shit and puts a lot of effort into helping Wukong get back onto the right track.

Dadsy for the win everyone.

Pigsy helps Wukong get set up with his fruit stand, and helps him find a place to live within the little money he earned going through rehab, and that he could continue with his fruit selling cause he's got a wicked green thumb.

The place Wukong ends up settling in is a little house in the mountains near Megapolis, not too far of a trip into the city, but enough that he won't be bothered by anyone.

It's in an old abandoned orchard that no one lays claim to because it's haunted by a smoking specter who died there, so it's dirty cheap too!

The house on the orchard land is a cozy little thing built into the shade of the trees surrounding the orchard. And Wukong fits in great there, the house is perfect for him, like it was made for a monkey demon like him, and the ghost doesn't mind him being there either, the spirit is usually out in the orchards searching for something.

So Wukong's got a haunted little house in the woods that came with a fruit orchard and a spirit who like him, for once in his life he got lucky.

Pigsy's happy for him, and he's so damn proud to support his kid by buying the best damn produce there is from him. He's adopted Wukong in all but name.

So you can expect that Pigsy has some opinions on Macaque. Spoiler alert, he isn't the friendliest towards him.

starting to get another idea for a mama sunny au but instead of something happening and wukong ending up with amnesia, just ends up in the half human form with his powers and immortalities sealed, but while he doesnt have amnesia to a full extent, he cant remember how it happened or how he ended up off the mountain with a "human" kid. theyre both still found by pigsy and tang and wukong does have to fake the amnesia a bit because whos gonna believe hes the monkey king when the only power he has the ability to use is shields.

wukong comes up with the story that he can remember his name(shihou which is what he mostly goes by in this au) and that he was running from something but he cant remember what that something/someone is, but does start to "remember" things as time goes by(dudes making it up as he goes but doing so very well). and that the kid might be his sibling but hes not entirely sure,the hospital they are taken too does determine that mk is related to wukong but inconclusive on if mk is his sibling or his child(even wukong is confused by how it can be that inconclusive).

wukong is still sick in this au, kinda made worse by the fact that hes used to his powers dealing with it all so he doesnt really know his limits, but also made better that he doesnt have to learn the hard way that he cant eat certain things and how to handle migraines(i think he has them even unsealed), he also has all his scars from before he was sealed. sometimes just causally saying how he got a scar and worrying everyone but how calm he is about it. someone asks about the scar on his head and he just nonchalantly replies with a "i didnt listen so i got punished".

i do think after a while he does tell pigsy and tang who he is, weather they believe him or not is up in the air, but they do believe he isnt completely normal. i dont think he would tell mk or mei who he is at least not until mk finds the staff. meeting sandy i dont have a solid plan yet, i was thinking a mix of shihou meeting sandy somehow and becomes friends and not meting the rest of the group untill canon events. not sure if in this one i want wukong and mk to stay with pigsy and tang the whole time(again due to wukongs poor health) or just until wukong gets settled and can get thier own place(still close to pigsy and tangs place though)

wukong has been trying unsuccessfully to find ways to unseal his powers and to figure out who or what did this to them, he kinda suspects mk is not human but he also wants to let him live normally and knows he wouldnt be able to do anything about it anyway so he keeps it too himself. wukong besides telling tang and pigsy who he is keeps on the downlow for the most part, he doesnt want heaven or any of his other enemies to find out what happened to him, since he cant even protect himself right now let alone be able to protect mk.

i do have a few things im unsure about. like if i want wukong and mk to use the surname sun or qi, or have sun shihou and qi xiaotian, or have them both qi so no one can link shihou to being wukong. the other thing is if i want mk to call wukong mom or shihou, a mix of both like he does with pigsy/dadsy or maybe use the name sunny as like his verion of calling him mom.

ML/LMK AU

How would the ML episodes go in the au?

Copycat would be fun. And a good bit of team building for the heroes.

Theo still has his crush on Ladybug, but this time it's MK who accidentally causes the akumatization by trying to nip that potential crush in the bud by telling Theo to back off because Ladybug can't date civilians. This causes Theo to figure it's okay for Chat Noir to be around her, and his envy of him gets him akumatized into Copycat.

Then events happen as in canon:

Ladybug: Chat Noir robbed the Louvre!

MK: You know it's not Adrien.

Ladybug: Shush, you.

MK: Do you really think Chat would do something like that?

Ladybug: He could have.

MK: Okay, but do you really think he did? Or are you just saying that because you're being petty?

Ladybug: ...it can be both!

MK: ...you know it's not.

Ladybug: Of course it's not! But he blew me off when I tried to call him, so just let me be petty!

MK: You know you’re better than that.

Ladybug: …stupid integrity. (Sighs and goes to help Chat)

MK: (Smiles, proud)

It'd be sweet if it results in steps towards friendship for Marinette/Ladybug and Adrien/Chat by the end.

Kung Food would introduce Pigsy (as a human) along with Wang Cheng and have it be an actual competition with multiple contestants.

MK is excited. Marinette is nervous. Adrien is dragged along for the ride.

And Chloe is still horrible, which leads to some issues in the Adrien/Marinette dynamics since Adrien is still defensive on Chloe's behalf. MK is less inclined to be neutral when his Dadsy is involved.

Pigsy would get his first experience with akumas and try to help the kids. And use food weapons to combat food weapons.

Pharaoh would introduce Tang as Alim's coworker, who would point out the multiple historical inaccuracies of Jalil's theories. As well as the very real ethical issue of wanting to recreate a ritual involving human sacrifice.

Jalil: Isn't your expertise supposed to be in Chinese history rather than Egyptian?

Tang: I still know enough on Egypt to know that this story isn't factual.

Jalil: But I've managed to figure out how to recreate the ritual!

Tang: The ritual that you just said involves human sacrifice?

Jalil: ...um.

MK isn't a student in the class, so Horrificator would be an episode where Ladybug and Chat are forced to work together without him.

Wukong: Seriously, kid?

MK: What? I have a delivery to complete or I'll get fired!

MK: Plus Marinette and Adrien have their school project in there. I'm sure they'll handle it fine.

(Inside the school)

Adrien and Marinette: AAAAAAAAAAAA—!!!

Antibug would be where things come to a head. Adrien defends Chloe as per usual and insists that Marinette should have listened to her. Marinette points out that Chloe had lied to them previously and was actively getting in the way of the fight. This results in the two arguing because per Adrien, Marinette is looking for the worst in Chloe while per Marinette, Adrien is always overlooking anything Chloe does. Which turns into Adrien taking issue with Marinette's grudge-holding while Marinette takes issue with Adrien's passivity.

Adrien: You only ever look at the bad in people even if they don't do anything!

Marinette: Chloe does enough! You just ignore her actions because you're not the one who has to deal with it!

Adrien: There's more to her! You just don't understand her! She can be good!

Marinette: To YOU, maybe! She's your friend, she actually LIKES you! But you're the only one with that luxury, Adrien! It's the rest of us who have to put up with her at her worst! All you do is defend her and lecture me for being sick of it!

Adrien: That's not true! I just think you could be more kind! It's like you want to be angry!

Marinette: She tried to steal my hat design! She stole my diary! She humiliated Kim, ripped up Rose's letter, scared Mylene, and trapped Juleka in the bathroom. Where were your lectures on kindness and tolerance then?

This results in a fight and the two not willing to work together. Poor MK is dealing with being stuck in the middle until he gets captured and can no longer be their buffer. 

MK: (Playing a harmonica inside a cage)

Antibug: Would you knock it off?

So Antibug ultimately requires the other two to work together. Marinette admits difficulty letting go of her hurt feelings to see when someone is being genuine and not letting first impressions cloud her judgement of people. Adrien acknowledges that he needs to acknowledge when he or someone else is doing something harmful.

Adrien: Haven't I apologized enough for the gum? It was just gum! I wasn't the one who put it there! I thought we moved past it! I apologized already, didn't I?

Marinette: When?

Adrien: What?

Marinette: When did you ever apologize?

Adrien: Of course I did! It was right after the...wait......oh.

Marinette: ...

Adrien: I...I thought I had. It seemed so obvious.

Marinette: Well, it wasn't. And every time since then, it's felt like you cared more about protecting Chloe's reputation and sense of mind by denying she did anything wrong.

Adrien: I never meant it that way. I just...I just wanted us all to get along. And I was angry because you keep acting like I'm the enemy every time we interact! MK was fine with me, but it felt like nothing I did was good enough for you because you could never look past that first incident.

Marinette: It's hard to look past something when the person involved keeps acting like hurting you isn't a big deal.

The two eventually talk things out—quickly, because MK is still in trouble.

MK is just glad his cousin and friend are getting along.

In your au, how would Pigsy be a dadsy to yellow Mei and yellow Red?

This ended up longer than I expected and may be subject to change, I'm spitballing here.

Surprisingly Son (who I call Yellow Red) probably has the closest relationship out of a lot of other universes, you'd think since their personalities are so similar they'd just not get along. Being a bit emotionally stunted, quick to anger and generally kind of a rough personality. However it seems they just kind of get one another on a level others don't in a "say something that could come off mean/cold but we both know it’s not that serious", type of way (even if they butt heads and bicker). All Son(s) really crave is the validation of his parental figures and without the callousness and often wish-washy affection of the DBK fam, he get to grow up knowing he's loved. Only version of the trio to refer to him directly as "pops" or sometimes "old man". Pigsy taught him self/defense, until he could pick it up on his own at a more professional level (boxing, ya boy had to get swole somehow). Taught him to cook, which he is banned from doing in the kitchen since he makes the food way too hot. Encouraged Son's interest in fixing machinery letting him fiddle with many of the store's and at home gadgetry (RIP all the disassembled clocks and one permanently broken microwave). In turn Son helps out at the store either through fixing broken equipment, running deliveries or cleaning. Unlike MK Son doesn���t work full-time at Pigsy's because he has a part-time gig of fixing gadgets and cars and so on. Mei-Mei (who I call Yellow Mei) is pretty close with Pigsy as well, I think without a family heir name to uphold it lessens a lot of pressures Mei-Mei would have had growing up. Has way more freedom to explore and be a silly kid, it has actually tampered down a lot the original Mei's unhinged energy into something leaning more towards silly. Generally unbothered by her dad's demeanor cause she knows he's a big softie underneath all his bluster. Loves to tease and very affectionate if only to push his proverbial buttons, Pigsy lets her get away with a lot more than the other universe’s yellows. The biggest sort of hurdle for them is to have any serious emotionally honest talks without some type of deflection from the other (which bites them in the ass later on). Occasionally calls Pigsy "Papa" or more commonly "Pigsy-pop". Pigsy got her, her first console from a yard sale and Mei-Mei has been obsessed ever since. Pigsy has no idea what Mei-Mei is talking about with coding, computers or game design at all, but will absolutely on the down-low buy all the books for Mei-Mei to learn and read. Mei-Mei is a decent cook, but would much rather be out and about delivering food or tinkering with the restaurant app than in the kitchen itself. Also only works part-time for Pigsy as she spends on and off time freelancing in game design and working at the arcade.

This is more of a specific fanfic rec, but Smiles4Voltron has written a wonderful story that, no joke, had me bawling my God damn eyes out through multiple chapters, which is about wukong raising his son mk and dealing with the trauma and guilt of the JTTW and the failed revolution and so on, which is called the day the world eclipsed.

I haven't read all of KinbariTeaHeaten's stuff, but what I have i really enjoyed!

@mugmanlivesmatter has some hilarious crack fics with the gang and a few heartwarming ones as well

Oh shit sorry that anon was me! Lmao! I forgot to sign like I usually do, so I get a notification for the corresponding blog. Oops. I was actually distracted while I wrote that, don't remember what I was doing tho.

First of all, hi~ I'm honored to be speaking to you and even more honored you liked my random ass thought. I fucking love your art style, keep it up! You want to use my dialog? Go for it! Just tag me in the update so I can read asap.

Second, omfg YES. KIDS DESERVE CRASHOUTS. I don't see many aus like this, and I thought it'd be an interesting turning point in the kids' relationship with MK, if not the plot. Wukong would be CRUSHED if he witnessed this, but you said shadowpeach's turning point would be after dealing with lbd. So, I thought it would help the kids process the transition in dynamic by starting a little earlier with the problems that can be fixed.

These are all things he needs to hear from his Dad, but listening to MK go on and on about how much Wukong loves each and every one of his kids helps, at least a little. This stranger is just so sincere in how amazing he thinks he is with evidence he'd only know if Wukong told him. If his Dad bragged about him. If there's one thing I know, parents who love their kids like nothing else don't. Shut. Up. I wouldn't be surprised if Wukong, despite not wanting to get close to MK himself at first, can't not slip in to rambling about his kids once MK knows they exsist and unconsciously labels himself as a non-threat to them.

Mk gets to sit through hours of training where Wukong is making comments and bragging about his kids without realizing. "C'mon, kid, ____ had this stance down like two months after they first started, don't tell me you have less balance than a wittle 100 year old" "I'm only 21-" "And mortal. I thought you guys were faster at this whole learning thing." "UGH!" "None of my cubs complain this much either. Even when they need to eat [insert food they equally hate]" He's insufferable. Makes MK's own insecurities flare-up sometimes but in a way that's indigant on the cubs' behalf like, if they're that great, why are you training me???

And now he gets to watch the result of a kid who misses the times with their father that Wukong talks about ALL THE TIME. Knocks down MK's hero worship a couple healthy pegs while they're at it. Monkey King is awesome, but holy shit his mentor is stupid as a dad if he let his cub get to this point. His dadsy and papa never let him feel like less or unloved, let alone get to the point hes taking it out on others, even though Mk was just a random kid that walked into their life back then, too. Makes him feel even worse.

A heart to heart that helps the cub start to understand that neither he nor MK has stake in this conversation and it's entirely the stubborn adult monkeys that need to figure out themselves but until then the kids have each other and need to remember that their parents adore them. Mk assures them that his door, arms, or ears are always open. He's a friend, not a rival.

"You could never be Shadow the Hedgehog" IS A WICKED LINE, especially coming from a kid who's mom is literally your hero and mentor's Shadow(the Hedgehog)! Also unlike MK, this kid isn't running around with "motherless" behavior like a HOOLIGAN LMAO. Fr tho MK do you own no other clothing? The elevator talks

This is a kind of sad au, mk is comatose before the events of the show can occur amongst other things. Thus Shan is by his side while he's in hospital

The beeping of the monitor was the only thing Shanyao could focus on while he reread his brother's attempt at an autobiography for the monkey king. It was based off the stories Tang told them off and on in exchange for free noodles. He knew mk was somewhat on the right track but it still wasn't up to a tee. An actual scholar would laugh at Mk's retelling but it was decent for someone who never had the time to read journey to the west. Shanyao just wished he could focus on it.

He hated seeing Mk like this, lifeless with wires keeping him alive. It stung everyday he woke up in this room to his brother still asleep. A machine keeping Mk alive while his body recovered from the crash. The other driver's insurance was thankful paying for everything medical bill wise. Hopefully Pigsy wasn't lying about their jobs waiting for them when this was over.

He couldn't leave Mk here by himself. Shan couldn't leave his brother alone in a hospital. Someone had to make sure Mk didn't miss his marathons and keep him company when Mei left after a couple hours. Thus Shan was by his brother's side to comfort and guard his sleeping brother.

"I'll be back okay bro I gotta grab some breakfast okay then I'll check for your shows" Shan said as he put the sketchbook/ autobiography on Mk's nightstand. He pressed a kiss to his brother's forehead and got up. Hands in his pockets as he walked out of the hospital room and down the hallway.

Though he'd grown tired of hospital muffins he wasn't leaving the hospital just in case Mk actually woke up. They said they didn't have a number for how long Mk be in coma. It wasn't medically induced so they couldn't pull him out of it.

Shan was quiet in the elevator as he waited for it to reach the floor he was going to. He wasn't much of a talker to random nurses or other guests as Shan was terrible at small talk. He kept to himself, Mei wouldn't be here with actual food until around one so Shan only had the cafeteria food at the moment.

He was thinking about other stimulus that could help his twin when someone spoke to him.

"You're still here?" A unfamiliar voice said as Shan turned his head to see a tall red head looking at him. Shanyao looked at him a bit confused. Did they know each other? The man didn't seem familiar but his statement made it clear he at least recognized Shanyao.

"... Yes?.." Shanyao mumbled as looked away from the piercing baby blues looking at him.

"shit... That was rude my bad. I saw you in the cafeteria last week while I was visiting my brother...I didn't think you'd still be here" the guy muttered, so he was visiting his brother too. Fun.

"oh well hope I didn't bother you grabbing muffins" Shan said softly as he checked his wallet. He only grabbed muffins because they were cheap but after two months he was running low on his funds. Hospital food for it's lack of flavor was pretty expensive.

"not at all..." The man mumbled as he scratched the back of his head," so how long have you been here?"

"2 months 35 hours and 45 minutes" Shan mumbled as he was counting his yen. Did he even have enough for a muffin? Or would he just have to wait until Mei got here or call Dadsy. He wasn't really paying attention to the conversation at this point.

"couple weeks myself. My brother collapsed and they found something in his lungs" the man mumbled a bit more as he realized Shan was counting.

"my brother got in an accident. I'm keeping him company" Shanyao said as he sighed and closed his wallet. He was a 100 yen short. Great, he left Mk alone for nothing,"sorry I hope your brother is ok"

"sorry to hear about your brother. Red son should be alright though. He's been through worse" the guy said as he leaned against the elevator wall.

"Red son? Interesting name, your parents fans of journey to the west?" Shan asked honestly as he heard a soft snort from the red head.

"you could say that, they also aren't very creative with names. I'm Red boy nice to meet you" RB said with soft smile. Best conversation he'd had in a while.

"oh I'm Qi Shanyao nice to meet you" Shanyao said softly as he tried not to chuckle at the poor guy's name.

"so mind if I buy you breakfast since I got some free time?" Red boy asked as he noticed that Shanyao's face sink after he'd assumedly finished counting his money. He rather wait to return to Red son until their mother left for the day. She wasn't happy with the family doctor being unable to instantly fix Red son. Personally he wanted to punch her face in for working his twin to near death to free their dumbass father. Yet it would upset Red son greatly, as he is a big Mama's boy if Red boy even called her out. Plus, Red Boy did find this guy kind of cute.

Guy was still looked worse than he did. He went back to the penthouse at night and this cutie was sleeping here to be with his brother. The least Red boy could do was get him a decent meal.

"really?" Shanyao asked raising a brow in confusion. They just met and Red boy was offering to buy him breakfast? Fuck, it save his ass for a bit,"...I mean if your offering I won't turn you down.."

"great don't worry we can just order some food. Hospital staff doesn't mind door dash as long as we're in the cafeteria" Red boy said cheerfully as he pulled out his phone. He was just going to have a bull clone pick up the food.

bc on one hand, I LOVE writing "newly in love" Pigsy and Tang, but at the same time kid MK and Mei are such a stupid precious duo-- god I don't think I can really choose. I'm just such a sucker for people in love and funky lil kids

Which moments did I have the most fun writing??? Ah jeez, that's also hard lmaooooo. Honestly the whole au is a blast, but I think my fav part was writing Sandy interacting with kid Mei bc it was soooooo fun to include little hints and references without either one understanding who the other person is fully and just-- god it was so fun I felt so sneaky and galaxy brained

Well if Mk manage to even escape Wukong would hunt him down. He won’t lose his family so yeah Yandere Wukong would chase him down. If Macaque were to help him escape of course Macaque can act and fool Wukong into thinking Mk escape himself.

A punishment not really. Yandere Wukong would just throw Mk into his room and lock him inside his room. He would be grounded and not allowed to leave till he learn his lesson. And no he won’t kill Pigsy because he can use Mk’s friend and Pigsy as a threat for Mk to behave.

Qi Xiaotian was in shock.

First, there was his Dadsy. He was a spy, that wasn't a surprise. Xiaotian had figured that out quick. But now there was this man. A quick glimpse into his mind revealed that his name was Tang, he was looking for a guy to bring to some grown-up party...and he was an assassin.

...

That was so cool!

Xiaotian couldn't help but let out a giggle, trying his best to not let his monkey tail wag. He had to set them up! He needed another parent to ace the interview to get into the academy and help Dadsy! Tang needed a partner for cover! Plus, their jobs were so cool!

But both of them thought that the other was taken.

There was only one thing to do.

Xiaotian burst into tears. Dadsy yelped in surprise. "Oh, I am so sad and lonely because I don't have a Baba!" he cried out, rocking back and forth, forcing more sobs out. "Oh no...I long for the existence of a Baba..." He was forcing it, wasn't he?

He creaked an eye open.

"Are you not with your husband?" Tang asked, looking worried.

"Oh, er-" Dadsy's mind was racing. He let out a fake sad sigh. "My husband passed away two years. So, it's actually just me and him."

Tang gasped. "So nobody would kill me if I asked him to the party! Excuse me, I know this sounds strange..."

Xiaotian slowed his rocking and sad sobs.

•The Runaway Demon•

Before running away

Red would use the technology he learned and combine magic with it to make inventions to free his father. Meanwhile. Iron Fan would mainly look into magic sources to try and free her husband. Sadly, so far nothing has seemed to work.

He has his own workplace to work on his projects, along with a touch pad that will only open to his hand signature. (canon btw)

Due to Iron Fan's determination to get her husband back, she would often forget to take time to rest and eat.

It became Red's job to convince his mother at times to take some time to properly rest and to eat some actual food. But Iron Fan would only rest for a little while before throwing herself back into work to get Demon Bull King back.

With the help with some Bull Clones, Red was left to prepare meals for himself and his mother.

They've tried a few times to convince their mother to sit down at the dining table to have a break to eat, but she insisted that there was too much work to be done, and that she could eat later or just have the food to be brought to her while she worked. So, for a long time Red was left to eat alone at the dining table.

Red did make blueprints for the gauntlet to remove Monkey King's staff and the suit of armor that can convert objects into energy, but she left before they could get the ideas of the blueprints.

On the night before Red Son ran away from home, he told the Bull Clones to take of his mother for him since he would not be returning back home. And they also told the clones to not tell her mother what happened to them.

Away from home

Red Son spent four years away from home. The first two were out of the country, exploring and moving around the world as to not get found.

The second two years was when he returned to the city because he thought it was unwise to leave, knowing that if his mother ever frees his father, Megapolis (the city) would be endangered.

With the lessons he learned from Guanyin, he learned that all life was worth protecting, so he made a vow to help protect the city and its people from danger, especially his parents.

She doesn't know if their old teacher knows what has become of her, but she became scared to reunite with them again. Fear of failure and disappointment to her old teacher drove her to stay away from them.

When Iron Fan noticed her son was missing, she was devastated. She sent out as many search parties as she could, hoping that one of those parties would have any news of her missing son. But after two years of searching, she called back the parties to save on resources to free her husband.

At the beginning of the two years Red Son returned to the city he visited the mountain site when his father was imprisoned. He did this to see if his mother was able to get her husband back, but the staff of the Monkey King was still there, still keeping his father imprisoned.

Red was able to get an apartment all the way across the other side of the city, far away from the mountain that kept his father imprisoned. This was a safety measure just in case anything happens. He suspected his father wouldn't listen to him after failing to free him for so many times.

Meeting MK and crew (except for Sandy) for the first time

Red first meet MK at the beginning of the second two years he came back to the city and ordered Pigsy's Noodles for the first time.

The first dialogue between them was "Red: How charming." "MK: Yeah, my dadsy's noodles are pretty-" "Red: A handsome a delivery boy has brought me my order."

MK basically started getting feelings right then and there.

Red apologized for saying that to MK, since the agape expression MK made after he said that to them, he thought he made them uncomfortable. MK quickly stated that they were fine, and quickly gay panicked away onto their rickshaw, telling Red to enjoy the noodles before speeding off to deal with the rest of the delivers.

They would have a few more interactions like this until they would properly meet at the Anti-Gravity Arcade. MK and Mei being their as another one of their hangouts, and Red being their on his own accord. He never got a chance to enjoy most considered fun things while trying to help his mother get his father back. So he wanted to change that.

With some help and motivation from Mei, MK was able to do some proper introductions and have a decent conversation.

MK introduced himself and Mei to Red, and Red introduced himself with the nickname “Ruby” to them.

With some more help from Mei, MK asked Red if they could hangout some more, which Red said yes to.

After some hangouts and getting to know one another better, MK was the one to confess their feelings to Red first. With this, Red also confessed that he has feelings for them as well.

And this will begin for Red to truly tell MK and the others who he really is and hope that they could still accept him for who and what he truly is. (And, of course, they all accept Red for who he is.)

Itty Bitty Babysitting

Another fanfic inspired by @smallpwbbles and their Itty AU

 A week, it had been a whole week since Tang had brought home the toddler version of MK, Mei and Red Son. A week of learning how to deal with three toddlers all whom still have their powers and barely know how to use them, Red Boy’s bed now consisted of the fire blankets from Pigsy’s kitchen and all the fire-retardant soft stuff they could find [luckily for them most demons like nests and Red Boy was no exception]. It was a very long week of Tang and Pigsy trying every possible way of getting into contact with Monkey King seeing as their only link to the guy was approximately four years old and when asked about how to call him gasped in wonder and squealed “Monkey King is REAL??!”

And when he finally made an appearance because MK had missed his training sessions he sat there listened to Tang and what little information they had gleamed from the three children. Monkey King then looked at the kids; MK and Mei stared back at him just as intensely because holy heck a real-life talking monkey and he’s Monkey King!! Red Boy stood there with an interested mix of ‘fight me bitch’ energy and looking like he wanted nothing more than bolt to the next room.

Said Great Sage equal to Heaven then looked at the two adults and then…shrugged in confusion.

“Ya got me I’ve never seen this before!”

So that’s where they stood right now, their only hope was a being who has been around centuries and seen pretty much everything and they didn’t have a clue either. The only upside was Monkey King might not know how to fix it but he knew plenty of places and people who might and thus Tang would pour over tomes and scrolls he now had access to while Monkey King called in a few favours.

Which left Pigsy…

Pigsy had herded the three children to the local playground, as soon as they got there the kids went running off to clamber onto the jungle gym and monkey bars. Pigsy just hoped none of the other parents noticed that the three had leapt to the top of the jungle gym in a single bound or that the red haired one just claimed the entire thing has territory for the demon bull family.

Hoping that this meant that the kids would burn up some of that youthful energy Pigsy sat down on the bench and watched them, his mind wandering to the problem at hand. It had been a week of sleepless nights because of worrying about the kids and these thoughts that had plagued since they had arrived in this state.

What had happened to them to cause this? It had to powerful enough to affect all three especially so when you consider that this was Mei a descendent of dragons, Red Son who is a demon prince and MK who was the next Monkey King!

It stressed Pigsy sick when he thought about their memories, they found out that their memories hadn’t reverted as such but had become mixed with who they were and who they used to be as children. MK calls Pigsy ‘Dadsy’ and Tang ‘papa Tang’ but they hadn’t adopted MK till he was in his late teens so it made no sense for baby MK to be calling them that. MK would also hid food and treasured toys or scoff his food quickly as if he expected it to be taken away at any minute, and how he would be quiet all the time and would run off and hide at any raised voices.

Mei didn’t seem phased by this at all and had assumed that Pigsy and Tang were her latest au pairs which made Pigsy wonder how much involvement Mei’s parents had in her early life.

Then there was Red Son, he swung wildly from ‘I am a prince and you will obey!’ attitude to getting upset and trying to hide the fact that MK had woken up crying one night from a nightmare and took to standing between Tang and the still sobbing MK saying stuff like “he’s ok! He’s not weak please don’t punish him!” or when Tang had to convince him to come sit at the table at meal times but Red Boy got confused at this and explained that he can’t sit with the family till he deserved it.

Clearly these kids had…mixed childhoods and it made Pigsy wonder if they should get the three to talk about it once everything was fixed which led to Pigsy wondering…

What if this was permanent?  

Like it would be bad enough if they had to go through puberty again [jeez he wouldn’t wish that on anyone] but given MK now had ‘immortality’ magic bleeding into him through Monkey King and Red Son being a freaking demon what if they were stuck in this childhood limbo?

“Hey Dadsy?”

“Yeah?” Pigsy grunted seeing MK in front of him.

Oh man what was he going to say to Mei’s parents? Its only a matter of time before they notice her missing! How are they going to explain this?

“Red’s mom come to pick him up and had invited us over for tea, is that okay?”

Oh God Red Son’s parents!! Pigsy blanched at that, if Red Son’s behaviour was anything to go by, he did not want to be the one to go up to his folks and say ‘hi your son’s a helpless baby again and we can’t change him back…please don’t mistreat him this time?”

Yeah right…

“Dadsy?”

“Yeah, sure thing kid you go play, okay?” he grunted absently, in his defence Pigsy hadn’t had a good night sleep in days and had thought MK was talking about playing pretend. So, when he was suddenly buffered by an unnatural wind, he leapt to his feet to see Princess Iron Fan smirking at him and MK, Mei and Red Boy waving happily before they vanish into thin air…

Oh, Tang was going to kill him!

If Pigsy hadn’t come rushing back looking so stressed out, sullen and distraught Monkey King would have killed him but he could see that the pig man was beating himself up enough as it was.

Monkey King had opted to go rescue the kids after all this was his thing, wasn’t it? Saving people from demonic capture was pretty much half of his stories. But here he had to be careful Demon Bull King knew that his sworn brother was going to come in guns blazing and probably had Mei and MK close by so he can use them as hostages when needed. So, Sun Wukong was going the sneaky route, changing into houseflies and mice to get by the Bull Clones and checking every room for potential threats and possible hostage hiding places, he needed to be quiet, focussed and stealthy.

Then he heard MK scream…

Fuck. Stealth.

Monkey King honed in on the sound and rushed forward barrelling past Bull Clones and drop kicking the throne room thick ceremonial doors open with a loud resounding boom.

Only to see MK’s limp body being tossed through the air, Monkey King felt his hearts stop and his body freeze with a horrifying numbing terror only parents will ever know. Demon Bull King caught the tiny body with his giant claws that encased them…

And then…

Giggling could be heard from inside and MK poked his head out.

“Again again!” he laughed “I wanna go higher!”

“Hey no fair its my turn!” Mei exclaimed.

Monkey King finally remembered to breath and looked at the room in full, now that he wasn’t focused on MK, he could see Mei sitting on the armrest of Demon Bull King’s throne and Red Boy was sitting on his father’s shoulder beaming happily. Princess Iron Fan sat on her throne watching all this passively with a small smile on her face.

“I told you my daddy is the best daddy!” he boasted.

“Nah ah!” MK countered sagely “I have two daddies and one cooked awesome meals and the other tells coolest stories so there!”

“I thought you had three daddies?” Mei asked as Demon Bull King picked her up smiling to himself as he listened to the deep philological debates only little children could have.

“Yeah, well I want Monkey King to be my dad but I don’t think it works like that!” MK wondered.

“Make him your dad!” Red Son cried “If you do that would make us cousins! Right daddy?” Red Son looked at his father who nodded and Red Son giggled excitedly at the prospects.

“Yes, but I wonder what your uncle would think about that…hmm? Brother Wukong?” Demon Bull King hummed and looked at the monkey whose brain was still trying to process that a] his kid wasn’t dead or dying and b] his kid wants to be HIS kid…

“Hi Monkey King!” MK squealed and tried to clamber down but had forgotten how freaking tall Red Son’s daddy was, luckily said Demon Bull King picked him and gently placed him on the ground. MK then ran over to Monkey King and hugged his legs.

“Did you know that Red’s daddy was that big? Or that Red lives in an underground castle! Oh, and he has all these cool robot servants and they’re brought us milkshakes and…” Monkey King let him rambled on and listened as he glared at his sworn Brother Ox who just gave a shit eating smirk.

Red Son was now hugging his dad’s neck and Mei was clambering up to him which made Monkey King think of those kittens that climbed up people’s clothes to get places.

“So, do you wish to stay for supper as well Sun Wukong?” the demon king asked politely as he took Mei off him and placed her on the floor. “While we eat, we can talk about the importance of communicating between parents…”

It finally clicked for Monkey King.

“This is revenge for keeping you in the dark all week, isn’t it?”

“A harmless prank I assure you, after all I wouldn’t stoop as low as to hurting children let alone the ones my son had become so attached to. Must admit it was interesting seeing you sweat for a few seconds there…”

Monkey King gave a growl but crossed his arms in a huff. He knew that Demon Bull King wouldn’t stoop to hurting little kids he was all about getting victories by conquering and winning battles, you can’t exactly claim a proud victory from squashing two toddlers. Yes, he may have brought chaos, mayhem and destruction and had a temper that rivalled volcanoes but he was a sucker around babies.

“Now children why don’t you go and get washed up and we’ll see about supper” Princess Iron Fan declared which the three children responded with laughs and squeals at the idea of having tea in a castle. As the two brothers followed them Demon Bull King looked to Sun Wukong.

“Tell me brother” he said in a low voice “What. Happened?”
