Script | Library of Babel DR 📖

✧ It's an infinite library, containing all books ever written and more (like every story ever thought of and all the books that haven't been written yet).

✧ There's a wooden corridor with shelves on both its sides, with a maximum height of 5m. The books can be reached through ladders placed at regular intervals.

✧ Through the library, there are spaces where the surrounding change (eg. grass, trees, ponds, changes in aesthetic), while still maintaining the general structure.

✧ When I shift there, there's a desk in front of me, with a bell and a computer on it. That computer contains the archive of all the books in the library; I can search them by title, author, year of publication, genre, type of content, number of words, number of pages.

✧ When I choose a book from the archive, my surroundings shift forward or backwards and stop in the section where that books is. The book will be highlighted by a glowing sign on its shelf.

✧ If I'm wandering through the library, I can summon the reception desk at any time and it will appear on the floor.

✧ If I write on a book and then erase it, it doesn't leave any mark.

✧ I can't fall from the ladders.

✧ When I shift there, I'll here a bell ring and know I'll have shifted.

✧ When I want to go back to my CR, I'll ring the bell on the desk.

• [ Our Place (Mine’s and Darcy’s) ] •

Darcy and I live in a gigantic tree. It’s not by the ground, but a little more than half way up. There is one bed, a side table, a couch, a “kitchen”, and an art area. The furniture is made from sturdy branches and vines, and moss and leaves as cushioning. Nothing rots. Darcy hung up tons of strings of dried glowing mushrooms, so there’s always light in there. There’s also tons of glass jars of immortal fireflies, too, so that adds light. Plus, we also have a few giant luminous mushrooms growing in there, either from the walls or in pots. We have several plants in pots all over, most of them sitting on the sturdy mushroom caps growing from the walls. It’s covered in moss and ferns, and we have to trim it often. The art area is a small corner that is splattered with paint and pollen. The paint is made from ground leaves, petals, and roots. Darcy mostly makes the paint since it’s his expertise. We have lots of shelves that we nailed into the walls using some handmade nails made by the Dwarves. We keep dried foods, canned foods (in jars), and our knickknacks on them, as well as the natural luminous mushrooms that grow out of the walls everywhere.
