Raimon GO Trio: Growth
So I was busy answering an ask for AR, and then realized I got super carried away with it and didn’t really answer the ask anymore. Yet I’m also having too much fun with this particular analysis, so I decided to make it a separate post!
The ask was originally about Raimon GO Trio headcanons, and moments in which Original Raimon Trio saw themselves in the GO Trio. Anyway, things happened, and… oops?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The relationship of the GO trio is one based on growth, I think.
To start, I need to talk about the original trio. Endou, Kidou and Gouenji have always had a friendship based on equality and mutual respect. They were equals from very early on in the anime, if not the start, I think (it’s been a long time since I watched it so I’m a little skewed on the details). Kidou and Gouenji were both established as phenomenal soccer players from the start. Endou was not, but he was the captain and that gave him a certain, status, I suppose might be the word, as well. The three of them have always had this sense of equality to me that the GO trio lacked for a very long time.
As for mutual respect; Kidou started on a different side, but he has very clearly been impressed by Gouenji’s skills since before the first episode even started, specifically challenging Raimon to draw him out and face him in a match, and he was relatively neutral to Endou but eventually started to respect him even while they were rivals. With the exception of the first two, three, episodes, Gouenji has always had a friendly relationship with Endou and (as far as I can remember) never fought his authority as captain, and he’s had a friendly relationship with Kidou basically from the moment he joined the team. Despite some hostility at the start, Kidou and Gouenji have always deferred to Endou’s position as captain. And I think we all know Endou’s opinion. There were some bumps in the road but the three of them have always held mutual respect for one another, and their friendship has always had that respect and equality as its basis.
Shindou, Tsurugi and Tenma are very different.
From day one they were hostile to one another and that lasted for a very long time, and unlike the original trio they didn't even respect each other to balance it out. Shindou and Tsurugi considered each other enemies and just had a general bad opinion of the other; Tsurugi was cruel and sort of crazy, to be honest, and saw both Shindou and Tenma as an enemy, although Shindou was probably the bigger threat in his eyes (now I'm thinking, despite the Gouenji-Tsurugi parallels, it's also possible to compare Tsurugi and Kidou as they were both originally antagonists, but Kidou never seemed as bitter as Tsurugi to me (it's been a long time since I watched the originals, so I could be wrong)). Shindou seemed very self-absorbed in the sense that he took all the weight on his own shoulders, like he thought that he was responsible for everything and needed to solve all problems primarily alone. Tsurugi was a Seed and his enemy and Tenma a troublemaker and distraction.
Tenma here would be the exception, but that didn't matter because originally Tenma held the weakest position. New to a team, good at dribbling but horrible at everything else, younger than Shindou (which, especially with Japan's focus on age differences, really doesn't help the equality thing) and generally discarded by both Tsurugi and Shindou. Sure, he respected Shindou and he didn’t have the same hostility towards Tsurugi as many others, but it didn’t matter because he barely had a voice on the team. Sure, he talked a lot, and I mean a lot, but people didn’t listen.
The three of them were a mess no matter how you look at it. You couldn’t even refer to them as ‘the three of them’ because they had nothing in common, no relationship to speak of.
As we all know that eventually changed, and it kept changing. Tenma got through to Shindou, Shindou started treating Tenma, if not as a friend, at least as an underclassman - as someone he had a responsibility towards to care for. Tsurugi became a tentative ally to Raimon, and they had to put up with him, and eventually he switched sides completely (still kept to himself a lot though). Tenma gained more confidence in his place on the team. They struggled, they fought together, they had to encourage each other and that builds bonds. To be honest, I don't know when these three became friends, I'd have to rewatch the anime for that, but I think it took a while even after they initially set aside their differences. Even during the last match of season 1, Tsurugi still refers to Tenma as ‘’Matsukaze’’ in his head.
(Another fun thing that makes them less compatible compared to the original trio - their positions. Endou, goalkeeper; Kidou, midfielder; Gouenji, forward. Defense, bridge, offense. They’re spread out equally over the field. The GO trio, though, consists of one forward and two midfielders; mismatched.)
Anyway, their relationship is constantly evolving. From enemies, to (tentative) allies, to sort of friends. I mean, there’s an obstacle simply in the fact that Shindou is older and therefore put in the ‘senpai’ role (seriously, don’t underestimate how important age differences are in Japan). Then there’s Tsurugi being a pretty quiet individual. They might be on friendly terms, even call one another friends, but they wouldn’t be good friends.
Tenma’s and Shindou’s relationship in season 1, to me, never really seemed like friendship. Tenma very obviously respects Shindou and depends on him and thinks he’s great, but he also sort of puts Shindou on a pedestal. Shindou seems, eventually, very fond of Tenma, and to be honest I think Shindou is actually the one to call him a friend first; less of an age barrier for him, and Tenma is a bit too shy to declare his captain a friend first (seriously, it’s easy to forget but especially at the start of the anime, Tenma is very shy). But especially as long as the barrier of Tenma putting Shindou on a pedestal exists, they can’t really be friends in the deeper sense of the word.
Tumblr media
Tsurugi and Tenma, on the other hand, have learnt to work together and depend on one another by the end of season 1. It’s not very pronounced but it’s obvious (especially when they use Fire Tornado Double Drive) how much Tsurugi really depends on Tenma (and accepts that!), while Tenma is just super friendly and nice towards Tsurugi. At some point these two became friends, but gosh don’t ask me when. (I want to add here: we see clearly in season 1 how much Tsurugi depends on Tenma, and while we don’t see that sentiment returned, I do believe it already exists at that point; at the very least, Tenma’s reaction to Tsurugi’s kidnapping in season 3 speaks volumes.)
Tumblr media
I haven’t mentioned the friendship between Shindou and Tsurugi much before, but that’s because they’re really hard to pin down. The one thing that stands out to me is how great of a team they are together, even, or maybe especially, without Tenma. We don’t see the two of them interacting as much as we see either of them interacting with Tenma, but what interactions they do have often occur during matches - I can’t really pinpoint any examples but to me it’s always felt like there was no real need for them to talk so much. Tsurugi goes along with Shindou’s strategies always without ever asking for explanation; he’s got a healthy respect for Shindou’s mind, I think, and seems very good at picking up clues from him. Which, to Shindou, probably makes him the perfect ‘’pawn’’ in his strategies, since Tsurugi is 1) a real ace of the team and 2) really good at responding to him instinctively. They’re very quiet together, and a very good team. They didn’t respect each other at the start, but once they saw eye-to-eye? Hell yeah, and I think that defines them for the entire series. Shindou never treats Tsurugi like an underclassmen, not like he does Tenma. When did these two become friends? I don’t think even they know - actually, I think they might not have been friends if Tenma hadn’t been there to be the bridge between them, but when it actually happened? No clue.
Tumblr media
Anyway! Then there’s the next big change: Tenma becomes captain.
It always stood out to me that Tenma didn’t stop calling Shindou ‘captain’ until Chrono Stone. I always wondered why Tenma was still captain in Chrono Stone, since Shindou was out of the hospital at that point and they never discussed the - what initially seemed like a temporary - captain switch in the anime. I mentioned in an earlier post that I headcanon that this switch happened because Shindou insisted on it, because Shindou didn't want to be captain and felt Tenma was better suited to the role. This conversation would've taken place somewhere between season 1 and 2, or potentially somewhere in the first episodes of season 2. That's also why Tenma switches from calling him ‘captain’ to ‘Shindou-senpai’, and that's the start of the newest change in their relationship. It quite literally forces Tenma into being on more equal footing as Shindou, as captain to former captain. Obviously this switch is gradual, as we see him doubting himself quite a lot in Chrono Stone and growing into the position as the season goes on.
Now I have to wonder how Tenma and Tsurugi's dynamic would've changed in response to Tenma becoming captain. I actually imagine that Tsurugi had a very easy time with it; he’d been following Tenma’s lead quite a lot in season 1 already.
Finally, season 3. It starts out pretty great, actually - their teamwork is great. One thing of note is that Tenma, at least, switched to calling Shindou ‘Shindou-san’ somewhere between season 2 and 3, I'm not certain about Tsurugi - he doesn't often call Shindou by name but I think he already called him that? Or switches multiple times? - but it shows that Tenma is much more comfortable with Shindou than before. At least, until the start of their disagreement over the Inazuma Japan team.
Season 3. Damn, what a ride.
I mean, I’m sure everyone remembers Shindou and Tenma in this. Pretty hard to forget, really. Shindou’s angry, frustrated, incredibly emotional and basically seems to revert back to how he was at the start of season 1. He seems to be taking it all out on Tenma and Ibuki; which while not fair is at least understandable. Tenma’s constantly disagreeing with him, someone Shindou believes should have the same opinion as him, whereas Ibuki keeps on challenging him.
The funny thing is, this doesn’t affect their teamwork at all.
In the first episodes, it’s Tsurugi, Shindou and Tenma basically doing all the work during the matches, and it is their incredible teamwork that gets the team through the first stages of an intergalactic championship, which, damn, is pretty impressive if you ask me. They’re arguing but still in sync, and I love that. The three of them have always been a great combo when playing soccer, whereas outside of that they definitely weren’t - they’re perfectly balanced yet horridly incompatible. The contradiction is incredible with those three.
Something else I noticed is that, even after Tenma’s been captain for quite a while, he still follows Shindou’s orders without question, and Shindou still orders him around without hesitation. And yet Shindou doesn’t overstep; he’s very clearly not trying to be captain anymore, and in the instances Tenma thinks he’s wrong, Tenma is not afraid to disagree.
Tsurugi, during the early episodes of season 3, is really the eye of the storm. While Shindou seems to have a pretty short temper around Tenma, that’s not the case when he’s around Tsurugi, and there’s multiple instances where he asks for Tsurugi’s opinion. At the same time, Tsurugi doesn’t make it any harder for Tenma, either; he really stays out of it. Lmao he basically saw Tenma and Shindou fighting and went ‘’oh hell no I don’t want any part of this’’, so he’s really the neutral ground between them (and then he gets kidnapped pretty quickly, sooo…).
Of course everything gets turned upside down when they find out about the whole alien thing, and though Shindou doesn’t argue with Tenma anymore, he does put a lot on his shoulders.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He’s not wrong, per se, but way to put pressure on the kid! Which, fair, he is the captain, but Shindou, honey, c’mon. You know Tenma. You know how he’s gonna take this.
So yeah, I don’t think that Tenma at any moment in Galaxy beyond the first and last episode is actually happy. Even when he’s cheerful, he’s constantly trying to keep a team that’s falling apart at the seams together - do you see the parallels here with Shindou in season 1? - or gauging their mood, or dealing with internal conflicts, or arguing with Shindou (and to some degree Tsurugi), or dealing with the stress of being the captain that has to save the entirety of humankind. Even when he's laughing, there's no way he's able to let go of that fully, no way he can be carefree. Despite outward appearances, Tenma in season 3 is so fundamentally different from Tenma in season 1. There’s no freedom, no fun, no ‘wind of the revolution’ when that is exactly what his character has been about all along. He's restrained. He's pushed into a mold he doesn't fit into, by everything and everyone around him, and the ones who know him, who could've put a stop to this - they don't see it happening. An extra interesting detail is, Tenma rarely reaches out to his friends when it's about himself or his issues, it's only when they notice that something's wrong and confront him that he actually opens up. And Tenma, in season 3, has become a lot better at keeping up appearances - understandable, since the whole spiel is that he has to be the captain, has to keep everyone's spirits high, and he cannot allow them to see him hesitating and worrying. It's actually probably not a good thing that he learns that lesson, because it means it'll be even easier for him to smile and say he's fine and divert people away from the fact that he's struggling. And then to add to that, Tsurugi and Shindou, people he would usually depend on and let down the mask for, aren't there.
Y'see, in season 1, Tenma is never really alone - despite the rocky start, he’s got Shinsuke and Aoi. In season 2, he’s alone for a while before Fei comes and by the time Fei betrays him, he’s got Raimon with him again. In season 3, Tenma is cut off from Raimon, pushed away by Shindou and Tsurugi, not opening up to Aoi, surrounded by a team that expects things of him as captain that no one has before, and Tenma is alone. And he has to deal with that. Learn from it. Grow with it. Find himself again, and he does. And that is the growth Tenma goes through in season 3.
To be honest, all three of them have their own stories in Galaxy, kinda like in season 1 but whereas in season 1 it converges from separate places to the same path, in season 3 it’s the opposite - they come from the same story and then split up. Tenma with his learning how to stand alone; Shindou with letting go of his steadfast opinion; Tsurugi with, uh, getting kidnapped by aliens?
Not gonna lie, one of those three doesn’t quite feel the same as the others…
Seriously though, Tsurugi’s arc in Galaxy is a little less introspective than the others, I think. Now that I’m thinking about it, maybe it’s about stepping up more? Previously he just went along with Raimon a lot. He’s a relatively quiet character and happy to leave the decisions and speeches to Shindou and Tenma - to be honest, in Chrono Stone when he was acting captain for one of the El Dorado/Raimon teams against the Second Stage Children, I was a bit startled before remembering that canonically, Tsurugi was captain previously. He never seemed to care much for the position. Like I said, he’s always followed along with Tenma, and he’s always been easy with following Shindou’s commands as well. But in season 3 that switches - he’s left alone, but it’s very different from Tenma’s situation. He’s becoming much more proactive in trying to convince Lalaya that her planet sucks, that she doesn’t need no man to be Queen, and most interestingly to me - the whole development with him becoming captain of Faram Dite. He steps up in a way he doesn’t really do in the rest of the anime.
To be honest, Tsurugi’s a hard character to pin down because he’s so quiet and composed most of the time. One thing about him, though, is that he’s got a major guilt complex. Just look at the whole situation with his brother, the fact that he blames himself has driven him for years before the anime even starts. It’s the reason he’s with Fifth Sector. After Tenma and Yuuichi give him that much needed reality check, Tsurugi backs down a lot and stays quiet. I think, and mind you this is all speculation - I think Tsurugi is afraid. Afraid of making choices, afraid of speaking up, of speaking his mind out loud. He follows Tenma, and Raimon’s, lead a lot, and while I think he does agree with them and doesn’t hesitate speak up after they already did so, I also think for a long while he would not be the first one to openly speak his mind. He’s been through a lot. He’s made mistakes, big mistakes (coughcough-joining Fifth Sector-coughcough) that you can’t blame him for considering the situation and the fact he was a literal kid when he joined Fifth Sector, but with what we’ve seen with his guilt complex with Yuuichi, who’s to say Tsurugi doesn’t blame himself? It’s like he needs the confirmation from Raimon that yes, this is the right choice, before he decides to speak up.
And in Galaxy, that changes. He’s left alone, no example to follow, dealing with a girl who’s even more afraid of making mistakes than he is, and for good reason. Lalaya has the lives of an entire planet on her shoulders, and she reaches out to Tsurugi because she has no faith in herself at all. Kind of like Tsurugi has no faith in himself either unless an outside source - Tenma, Yuuichi, Raimon - confirms it. Suddenly this girl is looking towards him for his approval on her decisions, same way he’s always done, and she doesn’t see what he does - that she doesn’t need it, that she can stand on her own. And Tsurugi committing to helping her, making that his priority rather than getting back to the Earth Eleven - and then, of course, switching sides and joining Faram Dite, knowing Earth Eleven won’t understand, Tenma won’t understand, won’t approve, and doing it anyway. For the first time in a long while, Tsurugi makes a choice because he believes it’s right, regardless of what anyone else thinks. That’s his character growth.
This already is eight pages, but now I’m committed, lol. Two down, one more to go!
Shindou Takuto. Honey, what a mess you are.
I could talk for ages about the impact that his rich kid life and likely demanding family would have on him. He’d be one of those ‘’piano lessons, Chinese lessons, fencing lessons’’ kids that get so much pressure put on his shoulders at a young age, to be perfect, to be worthy of the family name. I don’t think his family’s necessary neglectful or bad or anything! He gets to play soccer a lot, and it’s clearly because he likes it. But I do think that Shindou is an incredibly intelligent kid, and he’s always been pushed to perform the absolute best in whatever he does. It’s why he cracks under the pressure in season 1, when everything is falling apart around him, when the one thing he’s got for fun, because he loves it - soccer - becomes just as stressful, or even more so, as everything else in his life.
Season 3’s interesting, because from every damn side, Shindou is told he’s wrong.
A team of amateurs, when from basically his first appearance in season 1 it’s so damn obvious how much the Raimon team means to him. It’s a disgrace, not to him but to his friends, and Tenma - who should by all means agree with him completely - doesn’t seem to care. His plans are denied, his ideas are denied, except during matches. And these amateurs are just trampling over everything he believes in, everything his friends have worked so hard for, everything he holds so dear and hurt for and cried for and they don’t even have the grace to care. No wonder he hates them. No wonder he hates Ibuki, because Ibuki doesn’t understand a single thing about it but still has the gall to pretend he’s worthy of the position of keeper. Ibuki tries but not because he gives a damn about what Shindou believes in, but because of spite (I don’t actually think this about Ibuki lol, but I think Shindou would, I’m writing this from his perspective). The Inazuma Japan team spits on everything Shindou and his friends have fought and cried and bled for and he’s told to suck it up. No wonder he’s angry.
But, of course, things get a little better when they do start trying, for real, and keep trying. And then the whole hahaha-hey-you’re-actually-fighting-aliens thing gets revealed, and, well, new priorities and all that.
But still, Shindou’s stuck in his own head. Still dealing with a team he may or may not even like (don’t recall tbh). And at this point, Tenma’s retreated into his shell again (which, fair enough! Shindou hasn’t exactly been supportive and Tenma’s insecurities are acting up! There’s no way he’ll be the first to reach out again if he’s not sure it’s welcome - but Shindou, at this point, has missed all of Tenma’s angst because he’s keeping it quiet, so Shindou doesn’t know to reach out either! Which is also fair!! But they’re just in a continuous spiral at this point, rip) and Tsurugi is kidnapped by an alien queen like five episodes into the whole space adventure, which I’m gonna say is a fair reason not to have great communication at the moment. Also, honestly, both Tenma and Shindou not realizing something’s wrong with Tsurugi is a bit questionable but they both have so much going on in their own heads, plus the pressure of, y’know, trying not to get the earth destroyed, so I’m gonna give them a pass for this one.
Anyway. Shindou is put in a situation where things are, to him, completely spiraling out of control. He never wanted any of this - in fact, he probably was super excited for the international tournament, to just have fun for once and now the whole Grand Celesta Galaxy mess happens, poor kid. He has an idea of how things should be, within the team, at least, and he has such a hard time letting that go. He’s bad at adjusting. He’s not like Tenma. He doesn’t see the good in people as easily as Tenma does, he doesn’t adapt as easily as Tenma does (the wind is adaptable, haha) to this situation, doesn’t go, ‘’okay, I’ll make the best of this’’. He’s prideful, and used to, while not everything going his way, at least knowing his place, about having a certain image of the world around him, good or bad, and for once it doesn’t match up to his expectations at all, and he can’t change it, can only get through it. I’m very tired right now so I don’t think I can explain it very well, my words aren’t working (I’ll probably make a separate character analysis for Shindou at some point where I touch upon this again), but I think that Shindou is a person who needs some sort of control. His whole theme is music, being a music conductor, the strategist, calling the shots, and in Galaxy that’s taken away and he doesn’t know the stage, or the players and that might be similar in a way to Chrono Stone - but in Chrono Stone he still has the majority of his team, his support system, and in Galaxy he only has Tenma and Tsurugi and I just discussed why that whole thing isn’t working out. All he can do is get through it... alone.
Isn't it funny how that's a reoccurring theme with all of them?
Y’know, now I’m reminded of his Kami no Takuto hissatsu. How he directs the entire team like it’s a play or an orchestra. They do exactly what he wants them to and maybe that’s lulled him into a false sense of security. It might even go beyond that - his family demands perfectionism, tells him that if you just work hard enough, you can get everything, be everything, you want. That life will work how you want it to. But it doesn’t. He can’t strategize the entire world to his liking, and that’s okay.
And the fun part about all this? By the end of Galaxy, these three haven’t reconnected.
Oh, it certainly seems like it, because they concluded their own respective arcs. Tenma learns how to be captain and how to be true to himself. Tsurugi learns how to make his own choices and stop being afraid. Shindou learns to be patient and let go of his preconceived notions. They learn their lessons but they never talk about this. They grow, again, as they always do throughout the entire series, and rarely if ever do they talk about it, but why should they? They were together for the entire journey, right next to one another, so why should they tell each other what happened when they’ve all witnessed it?
Except in Galaxy they don’t. They weren’t on the same path. They’ve missed things, and now they’re, sort of, still assuming that the others will just understand because it always worked that way, right? So they don’t talk. And by the end of the season, they haven’t talked, despite the misunderstandings and the hurts. And oh, that’s an opportunity for angst I’m having so much fun exploring in my stories😈
Okay, I got like, so carried away with this. How did this turn into a character analysis for the Raimon GO Trio?? How did it get so long?? This was never the intention. To quote AR!Tenma…

🪐💫Planet Keeper AU💫🪐
Tumblr media
Because I have been asked to make an explanatory post here >:)
"Planet Keeper" is an Inazuma Eleven alternate universe that I have created. I am not sure it will be the official title of it, but that's what I'm calling it for now.
I have not posted anything "official", only drawings, some threads, and strawpage answers. I have the whole story thought through, but I would like, ultimately, to draw it as a comic. The problem is I currently lack the skills necessary to draw such a thing, so this is why I'm making small illustrations of the characters quite often (also because I love them very very much, they are my babies and I would die for every single one of them) and little comic practices.
What is it about?
As I said, it is an IE / IE GO AU, which is kind of a weird mix between Sci-Fi and Fantasy? Or maybe just space fantasy? It features
The Main Crew™: Ibuki, Shindou, "Kariya" (his name is Aitor), Kirino, Tenma, Tsurugi, and adult Midorikawa and Hiroto
Secondary main characters: Endou, Kazemaru, Kidou, Gouenji (adults)
There are many ships explored there, such as, of course, Munetaku, Ranmasa, Kyoten, Hiromido, but also Enkaze, and an unofficial maybe polycule Kazemaru-Endou-Kidou-Gouenji relationship
The universe
In this AU, the characters are from 3 different civilizations:
The Inazuma Civilization. They live either on their home planet, or in the Inazuma Space Station, which is a quite recent station that was built a few dozen years before the story takes place. In this civilization, people are more scientifically "advanced", but also have some specific abilities, like being able to "breathe" and float in space, and being able to turn magical energy into other types of energy. They get their energy to power the station by collecting stardust and star shards, which are very highly concentrated in magical energy. Some of them have some kind of magical abilities too, which are specific to each individuals.
Tumblr media
The First Orbit: the closest objects orbiting around Inazuma 11. Inazuma Eleven is the 11th star that was discovered and named by the Inazuma Civilisation. It is believed that the two civilizations were linked before, hence why they use the same name for the star, but they have long since lost contact. (The First Orbit only remembers "legends" about the Inazuma Space Station; maybe they had common ancesters, maybe they are from the same place, or maybe these things are story that the elders invented and that don't exist at all, who knows?)
Inazuma 11 is a turquoise dwarf star. It is very bright from the Inazuma Space Station because it is the closest star from there, but they don't really care about it. They think it's so tiny and surrounded by such an amount of planetary embryos and just... "space rubbles" that it can not be hosting any life form in its solar system. They are wrong, though, because there is life. The First Orbit is composed of a lot of tiny planets very close to each other. It is quite chaotic: they don't all spin at the same speed, some of them are so close that their atmospheres are merged, other are not. But a whole civilisation lives there, able to communicate and go from planet to planet. It is a peaceful civilisation which benefits from the direct light and heat from their star. The biggest Planet on this Orbit is called Raimon, and it is where most of the Administration takes place. That's also their time reference: one Raimon rotation around the star = one year.
Aliea (also called "the Second Orbit" by people from the First Orbit): it is one big planet that also hosts life (probably originated from the Inazuma civilisation too, as they all have evolved a bit differently, but they all look "human"). It is very dark, and very cold, because all the planets from the First Orbit are hiding their star's light, which means it is always the "night" there. They are a bit more scientifically advanced than the First Orbit, but less than the Inazuma Civilisation. They cannot use magic at all. They are constantly searching for some source of energy to power their engines and ships, but since they have very little light and heat, it is rare. The population is overall: not fine, and the government is quite authoritarian.
Since Aliea's orbit is not circular, there is a point, when it is the closest to its star, when it is close enough to Raimon for their atmospheres to merge. It happens once every eight Raimon years, and it is always celebrated with what they call the "Merging Ceremony". Because none of the people in this solar system have figured out how to travel in places where there is no atmosphere, it is the only time when the First and Second Orbits can communicate at all. The ceremony starts when the spaceships from Aliea land on Raimon. Then, there are dances, parties, traditions, flower offering... They happily celebrate for a few days, before they have to part again for eight more years.
The main characters and where they come from
It's all written here in these reference pics. There are also a few hints about their roles in the story >:)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And a last little thing because this post is getting way too long: in this story, colors matter! If you see in some of my drawings that some characters are coloured in slightly different ways, it might not be a coincidence >:) (you can't see it well in these references, but in my most recent drawings, I've been trying to make it more obvious.)

Okay but imagine twins au where Kazemaru and Midorikawa are twins and when they losy Their parents Kazemaru got adopted and Midorikawa not
Then Kaze's adoptive parents died and he was living only with adoptive grandma
But she passed short before start of season two so Kaze returned to sun garden
And he didn't wanted to play alien thing at first but after brothers and sisters kicked his ass he joined them
And in dark emperors also was Reize
Bonus points if they're actual aliens
I'm unable to knit a proper plotline or anything but some thoughts I got to add on:
they were pretty close until the whole Aliea thing started going on full force
when Kazemaru got forced to take part in it, he got petty and was trying to go up ranks out of spite or something
the moment when Kazemaru learns about Raimon's involvement..
Tumblr media
(also, I think his Dark Emperors looks would work as his aliensona, but I wanted to do something different :3c and since they're not identical twins with Midorikawa, they don't have the same hair color but instead their originals but leaning more to turquoise)

Hi! I'm loving the FFI stuff so much lol. Whenever I need food I come here /j I actually also adore Senbayama but they get very little love (the most coming from... Reddit). I'd love to hear stuff if you have any in store! My favorite is Yamane, but the Mugen no Kabe trio are AMAZING
...Senbayama.... That's a name I haven't heard in a long time.... 🚬
...Jokes aside. Long story short, years ago there was a time where I was obsessed with Senbayma 😭 They genuinely were the OGs when writing headcanons and I still treasure a lot I've written for them; even if sharing it wasn't easy. After years of seeing this team get ignored or treated badly, it makes me happy how the fandom opinion is slowly changing; at least in one part of the community ;v;
Either way, here's some brief Senbayama things for ya :D
First off, the location of the school... I feel like SBY is either in the Tohoku region (North east) or in Kyushu (Where Tachimukai's city, Fukuoka, is). For years this dilemma has been bothering me, and it remains undecided to this day. I remember that my arguments for Tohoku were because many of their spoken dialogue was similar to the actual dialect of the region (For example, Tanushimaru and Harano ending their sentences with -ppe). As for Kyushu, I genuinely don't remember the reasons why anymore, but all I remmeber is that nearby Fukuoka there's a place named Tanushimaru. Overall, this is why I'm quite vague with the location.
Regarding the school itself... Given its location on the high mountains, it's not very easy to access this school unless you're willing to walk a loooooot of stairs. It's overall student body is small, and its stubborness on not getting in touch with the newer technologies makes it not very attractive to people outside its area. Nonetheless, for the local children, it's still a simple yet comfy place.
Tumblr media
(In one of the Matane no Kisetsu ending pictures you can see Ayano and Harano walking through a field with barely any mountains minus in the background, which makes you wonder how much it takes to arrive at SBY on the first place....)
Tumblr media
Special thanks to @//ryuusei-boi for making a clean version of this pic <3
Other thing to point out on the school's official art; but for some reason the only sport taught at Senbayama is soccer. And even then the school has a complicated relationship with it. The field was originally meant to be a resting area from classes, but its purpose was changed because of the insistence of the students on wanting more active subjects. Will other sports be added to the curriculum? Maybe... But there are other important issues to deal with first, such as actually adding fences to the field. RIP to all those soccer balls that fell by accident.
Now with some of the players... I LOVE THE MUGEN NO KABE TRIO!!! They were my favorites <3333 I've always cherished the headcanon of them being very close friends, mostly because the game itself says that the MNK is based off trust.
Tumblr media
Once classes (and after school time) ends, I like to picture them going to Shiotani's house every so often :> Mostly to practice some more or just to chill, and sometimes even staying for dinner! The Shiotani family has a big enough orchard to feed everyone 💪 In few occassions the three go visit Makiya's family instead, although it is harder to access and not very big. And as for Ayano's house, it's off-limits.
As for Yamane, one of my main headcanons for him was that his family owns a goat farm -that's where the daily milk comes from-; but You himself had always wanted to get one for himself, be as a pet or just an animal to take care of. This was his motivation for winning the Football Frontier in fact, thanks to a promise he made with his older sister! It didn't come true because of Raimon, but You is still hopeful... Though, years after writing this, I've now found out him having his own goat is actually canon; at least in his japanese profile. Good for him ;v;
THANK YOU both for your ask; and also for making me write about Senbayama again! 💚 I apologize by how long this reply took, so many things happened in these weeks to a point it's stressful 😭
As an extra, here's a very old meme I did of Yamane and the other SBY 3rd years. They were another favorite group of mine ~

original post here
So this will serve as an introduction series to my wizards and familiars ina11 au characters. I think I'll just make this a reblog thread with new entries every so often! (If there is a better way of doing this pls let me know I had no idea what I'm doing) It will be an introduction to each wizard-familiar pair!
So who better to start out with than Endou himself. Endou Mamoru, grandson of Endou Daisuke, a wizard who changed the foundations of how familiars are treated by wizards and created the current contract system. But we can talk more about Daisuke in another post ....
Endou was born to two familiar parents and learned he had a natural aptitude for magic at a young age. With a lot of young wizards, they begin to unconsciously siphon magic from their familiar parent or sibling and may cause some accidental spells around the house as a result. Unusually, though, Endou was taking magic from both his parents and often got himself in a lot of trouble with his ability to charm people with his spoken word.
Though not the wealthiest of families, the prestige that Endou's grandfather held in the wizarding world got him admitted to the Raimon wizarding school, where he was assigned his first familiar Gouenji. And later on due to various circumstances, Kidou also becomes Endou's familiar.
Typically a wizard has one familiar. And if they have more than one, then it's set up like the familiars taking shifts instead of what Endou does: keeping both his familiars with him at all times. Normally this combination of different magics would be dangerous, but because Kidou and Gouenji are also compatible, and Gouenji's experience with medicinal magic, so far there hasn't been any adverse effects.
As stated previously Endou is a master of spoken magic he does this both intentionally and unintentionally and has a kind of natural charisma you can't help but be drawn to. Of course Kidou and Gouenji know when Endou is siphoning magic while speaking and can usually put a stop to it before anyone becomes accidentally charmed, but this also means Endou can use spoken spells to a pretty advanced degree. He doesn't need to speak an incantation or intensifiers for his spells beforehand! But this also means he sucks at most other magic. Sure he can light every candle in a room with a single word and make it rain in the middle of the classroom, but he can't mix a potion to save his life and don't ask him to help with a magic transfusion: he can't even do it for his own familiars, Gouenji typically has to facilitate any maintenance for the three of them.
So let's talk about Gouenji. Gouenji is a familiar that takes the form of a fennec fox and is the son of a wizard doctor. His father expects him to also become a doctor in the future and has made sure that Gouenji knows how to regulate and transfer his own magic, mostly for safety reasons. Gouenji's sister fell into a coma after excess magic built up in her system faster than anyone could regulate it partially because she was so young and partially because her father wasn't around often enough to help her regulate it. Gouenji feels partially responsible because he couldn't recognize the signs of magic poisoning in his sister and has studied hard to become knowledgeable on familiar medicine.
Because Gouenji's father is rich and a prestigious wizard, he was put in the selection program early on and got matched with Endou, which is seen as a pretty fortunate match, though the Endou wizards are known for shaking up the status quo. The contract they have together is pretty simple but deceptively so. All Endou asks of Gouenji is that he gives his best effort and pursues the things he enjoys, while Gouenji asks for free time during the week to visit his sister.
The following year after, Kidou transfers to their school from Teikoku because he also matches with Endou in the system and instead of declining and waiting for another wizard, he decides to meet with him instead. Kidou's adoptive father is also a wizard and adopting a familiar is seen as a disgraceful and bizarre act, so Kidou has a lot of pressure on his shoulders to become something prestigious for his family name. It's much harder for a familiar to create a name for themselves because the wizarding society is very biased towards wizards and they are seen as the main act so to speak, even if wizards can't perform magic without a familiar. Which is why he does not like Endou's friendly and carefree demeanor as a wizard. Their contract states that Endou will take his studies seriously and will decide on a branch he wants to pursue before graduation and Kidou will decide whether or not he will continue to be Endou's familiar by graduation and, of course, to find something he enjoys about magic.
Kidou's familiar form is that of a weasel and it should be stated that yes, he still wears the cape and goggles as a weasel. Even as an adult.
As they do become adults, both Gouenji and Kidou decide to remain Endou's familiars and Endou becomes a teacher at Raimon specifically for spoken magic and also just general studies. He likes to help the students with adjusting to their new environment and their new familiars while starting them out with beginner spells. Endou is .. not always the best at explaining things, so Kidou does all of the technical teaching while Endou does practical examples and helps the students. Kidou is also there to keep Endou from charming the students. Gouenji on the other hand works in the hospital on campus and often helps facilitate magic transfers between new wizard and familiar pairs, and those who have no formed their pairs yet. He will occasionally give lectures on how to do this safely on your own during the start of the term, but those who are unsure or have never done it themselves with someone other than a family member, are welcome to come by the infirmary for assistance. This helps prevent any accidental magic discharge or overload the wizard or familiar systems.
I'm sure there's other things I can expand on for them but Kidou doesn't mind being in his familiar form and Gouenji would prefer not to be if he can help it. The students love his fennec fox form though and always ask to see it if he comes to class.
Umm I don't think I have much else to say about these three but if anyone has any questions I can probably answer them !

Same Birthday 🎉
Tumblr media
It’s #InazumaDay today (in late—) and it was 1 year soon for me to have joined the community and I absolutely do not regret it !
This is the first time I draw Endou and since there were other characters who had the same birthday, I took the opportunity to make a multiverse as well as some interactions !
The relationship between Emma and Endou was inspired by a fanart from last year (by Rein)
and I thought it would be intriguing to see Emma wear the Raimon jersey while keeping the first three digits of her identity !
Also a Bonus with Arlecchino with the Genesis outfit X) (because it sweats her with the color and her original outfit oof—)

Thoughts about Inazuma Eleven Ares
So.... I've finally finished Inazuma Eleven Ares a few days ago (Already started watching Orion lol) so I decided to talk a bit about my thoughts on the series, if I enjoyed it or not, what I disliked about it... and just me telling my overall opinion on everything. This isn't meant to be a critical review or anything, it's just my own thoughts on the series. You are all free to disagree.
If I had to describe how I felt about Ares I would still stick with my first statement I said when I watched the first 2 or so episodes: I both love it and hate it.
Was it as good as the Original Season? Hell no.
Was it still entertaining for me? Honestly, yes.
So let's dive into things from the very beginning....
1- New Characters
The new characters introduced in Ares where... something for sure.
On one hand, there's characters I liked a lot like Nae, Nosaka and Haizaki *I keep forgetting that man's name* on the other hand other characters felt... somewhat boring.... character that I DID find interesting weren't concentrated on... either they were only focused on for a bit or not at all.
Take Nae for example, she was a character I highly doubted I'd like before watching Ares.... and in the end, the complete opposite happened. I ended up liking Nae but she barely got ANY focus in Ares... and it seems she'll pretty much be completely ignored in Orion.
Many of the goalkeepers introruced in Ares where too weak too, I loved Norika as a character but she was such a weak goalkeeper and honestly it wasn't a problem with just Norika but the other goalkeepers too.
This isn't new to the series overall since as a soccer anime that introduces tons of characters, it's only expected there will be wasted potential but it makes it annoying when the less interesting get the others deserved.
Nosaka and Haizaki are exceptions though because I DEFINITELY loved those two and their backstories, especially Nosaka. The mc was... okay for the most part, I didn't dislike him or hate him.
The other Raimon eleven though.....? The only one I might've liked was Hiura and Norika otherwise.... they were all... just there for me.
2- Older characters
I am also putting Kira Hiroto and Atsuya in the older characters category because... technically they are older characters (Dead as they may be in OG series)
So.... let us begin....
In general.... i am pissed at how the og characters were treated like supporting cast.... they barely did anything or got the attention they deserved. A lot of the 26 episodes were wasted on the newer characters, that's expected but still annoying in a way, especially since I found a majority of the new Raimon eleven less interesting than the Og characters.
I am not saying I hated them, but still... it sucked.
On top of that I didn't think the Raimon team really should've won a majority of the matches they won... maybe I am being Bias here but they just felt way weaker than the Og characters in general.
In Og series, no matter how OP the other team was I always cheered for Raimon.
In Ares I was cheering for ANYONE but Raimon. Especially in the Hakuren and Eisei Academy matches. I think there was only two or three matches were I cheered for Raimon.
Again this might be Bias speaking here but also can you blame me?
For a new series, it's only natural that they'll focus on newer characters but when the setup is made in such a way that they make you feel the Og cast will have important roles... it sucks.
Like I am genuinely trying to remember if Someoka did anything during his match because I honestly don't remember any moments of him actually being useful in the match.... And Kabeyama didn't even PLAY in his match.
Kidou and Endou had it the best out of the others.... especially Kidou for some reason.
Now...moving on to Kira Hiroto, he had a great backstory and I LOVED his episodes, it also cracked me up every time he'd get interrupted halfway before finishing his speech, he was a character I got invested in emotionally and again this is a reason why I wanted them to win against Raimon! Raimon didn't make me as invested as Kira Hiroto. In the Og series, he was just this dead kid who you somewhat felt sorry for but they did well with him in Ares...
On the other hand they did Atsuya Dirty. Not just Atsuya but Shirou too.
First off... genuine question but why did they have to change that those two were twins?! Unlike With Hiroto (who is apparently older than his sister) that change has no purpose at all? And .. that's not even the problem... this is more of a small detail that annoyed me lol. The real problem is...
Shirou and Atsuya pratically got NO backstory in Ares. Zero, absolutely nothing. They were pratically just another team Raimon had to go against and that's all.
I saw someone say Atsuya was better off dead because of how much he barely mattered in Ares, and again it's not that he's better off dead. Atsuya had amazing Hissatsus, it was fun watching him play but bro barely had ANY character development, they didn't give him that Kira Hiroto treatment at all...
Idk if it was me, but Atsuya was a character I genuinely loved even back in the OG story and I am sure I thought of that him and shirou would've been a great duo if he was still alive.... so when Outer code came out, I was honestly really happy to see an AU were he was alive.... but I am honestly disappointed.
Atsuya is still amazing... what sucks is the lack of attention he got.
And shirou didn't have it any better! This is really a shame because i honestly wish we got more moments of him and Atsuya.
Again, their backstory had potential, especially if we are to assume the avalanche still happened and their parents died in it, this is only but one example they could've done. It would've been a great way to dive into why Atsuya only trusts Shirou and give it an actual reason. And just like Tatsuya and Hiroto got a different version of their backstory so would Shirou and Atsuya, the differences would still make it interesting while strengthening Atsuya (and Ares version of Shirou) as characters.
3- Animation
I am not here to complain... I am here to tell my thoughts, and lets all be honest... the animation is better than og, or not the animation exactly... the character design. They actually look like teenagers. I also absolutely loved seeing older techniques being used... even if I admit none of them felt as... dynamic as the Og ones. Except Death Zone, that one was genuinely better than the Og in my opinion.
Newer Hissatsus were also amazing! I especially loved The explosion and... literally every Hissatsu the Fubuki brothers did.
It makes me wish we could get the og Inazuma eleven remade with this animation style but that will probably never happen.
Depsite me thinking the Hissatsus in the Og series looked better visually I still really liked seeing them with the new animation style and I definitely think they look great in their own right, it's just that older animation had more dynamic perspective and it felt like there was more care being put into the animation.
4- Plot
It was a somewhat straightforward but lacking plotline, it had potential, was enjoyable to watch... but could've still been done way better than how they did it.
I enjoyed the comic moments though, maybe I just have a bad sense of humor but I genuinely laughed at those funny scenes.
Though probably the only time I genuinely got hyped for an inakuni raimon match was the final match- 🤔
Overall they needes to give those characters backstory or moments thar actually made us care more, or you know... have them have interesting personalities.
Despite all that, I did genuinely enjoy watching this. Yes, the writing could've been better. But at the end of the day... since I did enjoy It I'll say it barely passes 🤣
Who where your favorite characters in Inazuma eleven Ares? What were some ot your compains about it?

Some of random headcanon of OG:
•they have a group chat with the whole inazuma japan and the managers and Tori and Suzette,This group, like the original Raimon, was created by Mark.
•Mark created a chat with the old Raimon members together with Jude and Axel.
•Suzette no longer lives in Japan, because after a year abroad in England at the age of 18, where she met Edgar and later married him.
•Still speaking of Suzette and Edgar, they both have two children, a boy and a girl, called Erik and Victoria. Suzette has paid homage to her dearest friends, with her children, and Edgar is very happy about it.
•Erik and Bobby are professional players in the USA, and are in a polyamorous relationship with Silvia. (I love them)
•Hurley and Darren are married, and have two talking parrots named Ondine and Maya, and a dog named Joy.
•Nathan, Caleb, and Jack are on the same professional soccer team, and as a result, they became very close as adults.
•Percival/Kudou is in a relationship with Lina/Hitomiko, so yea Camelia/Fuyuka is Lina's stepdaughter.
•Jordan and Xavier are thinking about adopting a little sibling for Aitor, but they aren't sure about doing it.
•the Break Trio play soccer together, when they can and usually end up playing for hours without realizing it.
•The managers (only Celia and Camelia) and Suezette at the time of the FFI, had made a list of the team members and how compatible they were romantically speaking with each other, in fact Camelia always asked her father that when he made them train in pairs to put some more often than others.
•Jude and Kevin once played on the same team when Jude was in Italy.
•Kevin is engaged to Shawn, and they have adopted Ryouma and Njord.
•Kevin dedicates many of Vasco Rossi's songs (he's a famous Italian singer) to Shawn and even if he doesn't understand anything about the songs he appreciates them anyway
•Steve have a relationship with Max.
•Jude has ocular albinism (which only affects the eyes and causes serious vision problems) and he has always been very ashamed of it, which is why he has always worn glasses that completely covered his eyes (and also because he can't see very well without them lol).
•Speaking of particular traits, both he and Celia have canines that are a little longer than normal, but if Celia had them fixed as a teenager with braces because she didn't like herself and when she was at the orphanage she was bullied for this and other things, but Jude kept them also because he never considered them a problem.
•Jordan has always been confused with a girl because of his effeminate and tender appearance, in fact since he was very little both boys and girls drooled over him, because some boys thought he was a girl other boys liked femboys while girls adored him for his good and gentle appearance.
•In fact Xavier was very but VERY jealous of him when they were boys because he was afraid of never being reciprocated in fact every time a person came to Jordan Xavier hugged him and badly glared at the other, But over time his jealousy became almost nothing unless there was a person who was directly interested in him.
•Celia's first serious crush was David, cuz she found him not only physically attractive but also handsome inside but unfortunately she realized that he was gay and interested in Jude (thanks to the help of Silvia, Camelia and Nelly who opened her eyes) she started to see him as a second older brother/best friend and even started to help him in conquering Jude.
•the first ones to get engaged and then married were Xavier and Jordan (17 years old), the second ones were Mark and Nelly(21 years old).
•the last ones are Kevin and Shawn who are still engaged.
•Coach Hillman's favorites were Mark and Archer while Lina's were Jude, Axel and Shawn and for Trevis' favorite in OG was Cabel,Jude and Mark, while Trevis' favorites in GO are Riccardo, Gabi and Arion.
•Celia has always hoped that Jude would find true love so when they met again she always looked for the ideal partner for her brother, and this was David.
•Celia was pregnant by her ex-boyfriend and when he told her the news he left, and she had a moment of depression but she is recovering thanks to Jude and Isabelle is recovering, and her child name is Kiko.
•William is married to Torahama/Alexia, and they have a cat named Hime.
•Byron is married to Henry/Hera, and they adopted (at the end of the first season of GO) Cronus/Kurosaki.
•Dave/Saginuma and Jordan were adopted by the same family after Alius Academy, in fact their lawyer has become brotherly and for this reason Dave is very protective of Jordan (especially when it comes to football or romantic matters) and Jordan sees him as a role model.
I don't know if I gonna do a second part of this but I know that a gonna post my headcanons for GO but don't know when 🫠 ( please forget my english but it's not my first language 🥲)

The Original Voltron Adaptations Vs Their Original Japanese Counterparts.
Beast King Go-Lion:
Go-Lion/Voltron's backstory is that he got split due to his hubris after thinking he could take on the space goddess.
Voltron is a sentient being who lived long before time.
Voltron's title is king of the beasts.
All the pilots, save Fala/Allura, are from Earth.
All the boys are effectively in the same boat as VLD Shiro and have the gladiator backstory.
Earth is dead and gone, consumed by World War 3 by the start of the show.
Allura is canonically 16.
Raible/Coran's a strategist.
Altea/Arus's people were assumed to all be destroyed (especially the royal family), but they're all hiding out.
Allura's parents and siblings are executed by Daibazaal/Zarkon's hand while she was a year old baby. Zarkon didn't know she existed.
Hiroshi Suzuishi/Pidge is descended from Ninja.
There's so much blood and gore. People get cut in half vertically and horizontally. We get the privilege of watching people drop dead on screen with these horrifying faces and screams. Zarkon and Sincline/Lotor drink blood, too.
Honerva/Haggar has this bs called occult science.
Akira Kogane/Keith and Allura are so slowburn to the point it might not exist between them.
King Raimon/Alfor's ghost comes back from the grave to tell the paladins how much they suck.
Pidge threatens to eat the space mice twice.
Shirogane Takashi/Sven dies and and a later episode introduces his younger brother, Ryou/Sven, who was captured as a slave among others before Earth was fully destroyed.
Cannibalism
A tragic side character commits suicide at the end of an episode
Amue/Romelle's older brother is willingly turned into a robeast. Her older brother and father are both murdered by the Galra during a battle with Voltron.
Earth is completely destroyed and uninhabitable. The boys become honorary citizens of Arus.
A scene depicting Pidge's mother shows her seeing him off his mission. It's the last time he sees her.
Lotor has a dream about his mother where it suggests Zarkon had a hand in her disappearance. A flashback occurs showing us she was a good person and was killed for moral differences.
Coran's son, Saint/Garret, died as an infant while he and his mother were escaping from the castle. They are buried by a local group of people. The Galra dig up this grave to clone him.
Hys/Nanny is shot by Garret and dies.
A father-daughter bond is implied between Coran and Allura when the latter comforts the former after the Garret incident.
The Galran foot soldiers are living beings.
Romelle almost died via firing squad.
One notable robeast involved a snake like being who survived a civil massacre amongst her people and was introduced burying her deceased child. She adopts Pidge within the same episode. She dies at the end from blood loss.
Another notable side character was a sand person. Allura befriends this one by giving it her bracelet. The sand person is turned into a robeast. It's implied the sand person dies at the end, though it is unclear why.
During the final battle, Lotor sends out trapped prisoners in bubbles as bombs so Voltron can't move without killing them. Lotor also shoots them as missles. Haggar also shoots at the prisoners so Voltron can move and end Lotor's career.
Haggar's motive in helping Voltron lies in that Lotor killed Zarkon.
Haggar is Zarkon's mother.
Ryou dies fighting Lotor.
Honerva dies. Zarkon dies. Lotor dies.
Voltron: Defender of the Universe:
"We don't need clothes." Keith, 1984.
Arus is still alive, they just get attacked.
Voltron's backstory is that Haggar disguised herself as said space goddess and wrecked Voltron into five pieces.
Coran's a diplomat.
Voltron's title is King of the Robots
Galaxy Garrison exists here.
Allura grew up an only child and seldom saw her parents because they were busy.
Sven is severely injured and is, instead, sent to another planet to recuperate, but gets captured as a slave on planet Doom and thinks he's crazy.
Zarkon disrespects Haggar likes it's nobody's business.
King Alfor built Voltron.
Zarkon has a nephew
Pidge has a sister who's stated to be training as a pilot.
That same tragic side character is said to have returned to her home planet offscreen
Romelle's older brother is willingly turned into a robeast. He swims out to see in the middle of a battle with Voltron. Romelle's father in consequence goes mad and is implied to have died as a result.
Balto is ravaged by Lotor's forces. Pidge becomes an honourary citizen of Arus.
Pidge is an orphan and the scene of his mother depicts his adoption
Lotor has a dream about Allura instead. Allura's nightmare shows us she's afraid of Zarkon.
"Lotor, my beloved son, you're a nitwit." -Zarkon, 1984
Doom/Drule council.
Coran's son, Garret, and his wife are said to be alive in another dimension they were beamed to when the Galra attacked them. The clone is robotic like.
Allura when comforting Coran after the Garret incident, calls him a good man.
Lance is a country boy.
The Doom foot soldiers are robots.
Romelle was sentenced to be shot by a firing squad with stun guns.
Lotor and Haggar look for a new robeast victim among the Medusans. Audibly noting that they're all in a deep rest. That Medusan lady chooses to adopt Pidge. She also gets hurt, but it's implied she lives.
The episode about the sand people goes relatively the same way. However, the sand person is stated to be exhausted, but alive.
Sven is injured and sent back to planet Pollux to heal.
During the final battle, Lotor sends out robots in bubbles to trap Voltron. Keith can't move him because the bombs would blow up in their face. Lotor shoots them as missiles. Haggar shoots them down so Voltron can end Lotor's career.
Zarkon lives. Haggar lives. Lotor lives.
Pidge has a brother, Chip.
The same:
The Robeasts sometimes have unique tits (long, metallic, and spiky).
Lotor has three different kinds of chins and noses he alternates between.
Allura's only living relative is her aunt.
Armoured Fleet Dairugger XV:
The show begins with a strong theme linked to the lifestyle and aspirations of young sailors staking their life on the sea.
The Galaxy Alliance's goal is to create a star map of the universe, explore planets, and potentially colonize one.
Shinji Ise/Commander Hawkins is unsure if there are any lifeforms other than the three species in the Galaxy Alliance.
There are three planets in the Galaxy Alliance: Earth, Mira, and Sala.
Miranda Keats/Krik has telepathy.
Barros Karateya/Zandee is possibly from New York.
The cook can sing and cook.
Krik and Moya Kirigas/Cinda are Mirans.
Shota Kreutz/Wolo and Saruka Katz/Tangor are Salans.
The main fleet has spent 7 months in space.
Manabu Aki/Jeff hates spicy food.
Tatsuo Izumo/Shannon has no deeper reason to hate the Galveston/Drule other than they've been fighting one another recently.
Sim/Sandu dies as a pilot with his ship.
Wolo's brother dies.
Haruka Kaga/Lisa's singing when the force is stalled on the weather planet.
Murder

Walter Jack/Cliff's brother's name is Jimmy.
Cliff has a magic hobby. He wants to be a member of the Magic Castle in Hollywood.
The Dairugger crew/Vehicle force sing the theme song when sending off Captain Dick Asimov/Stanley.
The planet Hawkins saw blow up was a consequence of the Galra not wanting a base to be built on that planet - Planet Apollo.
Krik on his shift as commander simply orders the teams to head to their vehicles.
The Vehicle Force are observing the artifact they collected in a previous episode with hopes and doubts the civilization survived.
Commander Hagi/Kernel Klaus dies.
Director Wakasa/Marshal Graham is peeved the people aren't taking Drule threat seriously.
Drake/Mongo dies. Teles/Hazar has a devastating reaction to it.
Graves
Krik is implied to be a prince.
Sirk/Dorma has no biological relation to Hazar and instead is his adjutant.
Hazar's father is a Homeworld secretary socrat and he's immediately dismissed from this position when Hazar returns to Galveston.
Planet Mira has flowers similar to purple orange-spotted flowers.
The Vehicle team learned space combat at the space fortress.

Hi yara! 1st of all: love love your writing AR has kept me sane for years now thank u for ur genius (and often very crazy but amazing) ideas !!
i was thinking of more inazuma 11 time travel shenanigans and i had a thought: in AR the time machine blowing up led to tenma being sent to the beginning of his raimon era, but what if it sent him back further? like, for example, to the beginning of the original inazuma 11 series, when endou doesn't even have enough members to run the club? in AR lore tenma's consciousness is the thing that's sent back, so id assume it would just like, cling to the first person it sees - imagine tenma's consciousness enters endou T-T or, if the time machine sends his body back, all of a sudden raimon's failing soccer club has this new REALLY overpowered member while tenmas just like "theyre so young....this is so weird" can you imagine the chaos omfg
Omg I knew I had an ask about this! Also thank you for your support <3
Gonna be honest, at first I was like, this is a nice idea! But not much more. BUT THEN.
I GOT INSPIRED.
This one would have to be a bit different than AR regarding the timeline, because technically AR!Tenma's 16, stuck as his 13-year-old self. In a story where he gets send back to the OG timeline, I'd want him there with his own body, and for him to join the team he'd have to be between 12-15, AKA he would've been send back at a younger age than AR!Tenma did. I'd probably have it play out shortly after the anime ended, because I think it's hilarious to have this completely random, OP first-year join the OG Raimon team.
Except he really doesn't see it that way himself because these are his heroes!!!!
Yeah, the Tenma fanboy would play a pretty big role at the start, and he probably wouldn't realize how all his idols in this timeline aren't yet what they will be? I mean, yeah, of course he realizes they're younger, but I don't think Tenma would fully get what that means. All he knows of Raimon is that they've always been a famous, high-level team - even when he first joined them in GO, despite the whole situation with Fifth Sector, Raimon had a reputation.
The Raimon in the originals did not. They were such a tiny team. Like you said, they didn't even have enough members at the start. They didn't have any hissatsu in their first match! And it actually took quite a while for that to change, too. You had Endou's God Hand, and then a few more later on, and Gouenji's Fire Tornado and Someoka's dragon shoot. But for quite a few episodes, that was it. And Tenma would not realize that.
Until he does, of course. That'll be fun.
Also. Tenma cannot handle being one of the best players on the OG!Team. Arguably the best, at the very start.
(Because at that point none of them even have any hissatsu except Gouenji. Who's best shot, is, like, Fire Tornado. And theoretically Tenma can use Fire Tornado, because he can use Fire Tornado Double Drive which is just two people doing Fire Tornado simultaneously. And then he's got even more high-level hissatsu and a Keshin and he can do Armed and he has his Soul so really at least for a little while Tenma's definitely at least the number two best player on the team.)
And he cannot handle that lmao. He's just gonna be in denial the whole time.
Honestly, I feel like figuring out the similarities and the differences between Tenma and Endou on this team would be really interesting. Endou's the leader, no doubt about it, he's the one who pushes and inspires everyone to do better, and he's just a source of everlasting optimism in general. And Tenma would be too, but also, different? He's got like. Unshaking faith in this team. Because he knows exactly what they can - and will - become. And I think that could be very interesting to explore.
Raimon would totally start a bet on who's the real sunshine child, Endou or Tenma. Joke's on them, there's no winner and when they eventually learn to combine their sunshinyness and no one can stop them.
Now I'm also just super curious about writing the friendship between Tenma and Endou?? We got a bit of them in Chrono Stone but not nearly enough. I have no idea how this would turn out but I know it would be great.
Also. I'd totally link the Aliea Meteorite to SSC. Don't know how, but I would.
Ooh Tenma being utterly and completely unimpressed by the fake aliens lmao
Also?? Tenma?? Wouldn't legally exist in that timeline? Well, he would, as like a 2 or maybe 3-year-old somewhere in Okinawa. But older Tenma's just. Stuck. Without legal documents. How would he even end up at Raimon?? I have no idea lol.
Omg!!! What if older Tenma at some point runs into some of his future teammates while they're toddlers!! Imagine him with baby Aoi. Imagine him with baby Tsurugi. Tenma would be so happy. He'd adopt them all on the spot, omg. I didn't know I needed this in my life until now.
Also, I imagine this would end with Tenma going back to his own time and the OG team knowing about the whole time travel thing and never losing their memories of this... and impatiently waiting in the decade afterwards for the time that they'll meet him again. Tenma, at that point, would not remember going to the past or being part of their team so he's just,,, super honored and flabbergasted and shy that all his heroes seem to like him so much. It would be so cute. They'd be like, omggg, I didn't remember you being that small!!! They'd all adopt him on the spot. GO!Raimon would be so confused, like, why is this new kid everyone's favorite??? They're not even trying to hide it. Tenma, you get taken out for ice cream every other week by a different OG!Raimon member. They kidnap you for personal training, Tenma. Every single time we meet one of coach's Endou's friends for the first time they, without fail, single you out somehow. What is happening here????
Okay, damn, I got carried away with this. Whoops? Can you tell I really like this idea lol? Hope you enjoyed it tho!

WANT TO ROLEPLAY INAZUMA ELEVEN WITHOUT THE STATISTICS OF FOOTBALL?

Enjoy the antics and adventures that the Inazuma Eleven (and more) will engage in!
(server ad spiel!!)
It's a relatively new server so most characters are free, and even if they aren't, you can share characters/muses!!!

You know what GO should have done with Natsumi? Make her an official detective. This girl has already solved two decades old cases that were declared closed — the bus crash of the original Inazuma Eleven is season one and that Daisuke is alive and in Cotarl in season three — at the age of fourteen. Ain't no way she isn't detective material.
Heck, tie in Natsumi being a detective with her investigating the Fifth Sector and where and how they train the SEEDs, which leads to her discovering God Eden by the time the new Raimon is kidnapped to that place and that's already a less character assassinated Natsumi than we got in GO. Because you can't convince me that there's a Resistance and Natsumi isn't a part of it.

[ID: A digital piece of fanart showing Mamoru Endou from Inazuma Eleven in his original Raimon goalkeeper uniform. He's jumping forward with one fist raised up and smiling with his eyes closed and mouth open. Behind him is a yellow lightning bolt which loosely matches the shape of his pose. The text "Inazuma Eleven" is written on the top-left area of the image, while "15th anniversary" is on the bottom-right, both in white and all-caps. The background is light blue with a halftone texture. End ID]

i maintain 100% always and forever that gouenji, fubuki and someoka should have had a combo shot hissatsu together - there was no room for it in season 2 of course, but in season 3 it would have been so thematically appropriate for the trio who have had a connection through the important narratives tied to their positions as forwards for raimon and the combo shots they have with each other (dragon tornado, wyvern blizzard, crossfire) and the recurrent theme of replacement that ran through their initial dynamics to come together to create one of the final, if not THE final, combo shot hissatsus in the original series. hey. hey is anyone there
