Internships are not considered as real jobs
Photo by energepic.com on Pexels.com What jobs have you had?Daily Writing Prombt I read about that claim, but I disagree. Just because you haven’t been paid doesn’t mean it isn’t a real job. The only time I got paid was when I worked as a media assistant four years ago. Before that, I had only internships where I got 9 euros a day, plus unemployment benefits. Then, on-the-job learning was part…

making the mistake of feeding plumber!ghost because he'd been fiddling with the pipe beneath your sink for quite a while and you'd only figured that you'd be a good host (?) and give him something to drink, at most offer him a granola bar or something but now you're shakily making him his third sandwich of the afternoon with extra sandwich meat ("don't skimp on it. man like me's gotta eat.")
you don't know whether he's gonna eat you out of your house and home or the skirt you'd put on to water your front yard earlier. by the way he pat your upper thighs (too close to your arse) when you'd have poured him a glass of freshly squeezed juice, you'd say the latter.
"c'mere. 'ave a seat," he pats his left leg as he says so, his right extended and placed on the only other chair you own.
(the moment you come within reach because the juice isn't going to refill itself, he pulls you to his lap anyway.)

I truly, TRULY do not know how to say this, because the fact that I have to say it makes me feel like I am losing my grip on reality. But no, in the post-capitalistic anarchist utopia, I will not be relying on “autistic minecraft girlies” to be building inspectors because - and this may shock you - one of those occupations takes years of education in how to read and interpret hundreds of thousands of lines of regulations based on complicated math and physics that were the result of decades of tragedy and death, and the other one involves playing a children’s video game.

Doing master studies the only way I know how: Stealing them and making them my guys.
(Barberini Faun)
(The Fallen Angel - Alexandre Cabanel)
(Covent Garden - William Bruce Ellis Rankin)
#obviously. not actually theft...#i was gonna say these are public domain but covent garden actually isnt yet#it will be. in two years.#thats the most different one though like i added a whole new guy..#maybe not the most different. barberini faun is pretty different i just took the post#pose#its barely even a study. thats not true#but. what was i saying.#oh its not theft it's study... the purpose is to learn!!! but also. if im gonna spend like 2 days on something...#its GONNA be my guys#otherwise. idk. i only want to spend 30 or so minutes per study#just to get the notes down and the practice for the skill im working on#i dont get all that much more out of completely rendering a master study. PERSONALLY.#at least definitely not enough to be worth taking 100x longer#but making them my characters makes it worth going all the way!!!#plus it's good practice w like. not just going 1:1 but actually genuinely interpreting whats there so i can manipulate it...#again. personally. this is just how i worm#WORK#youd better worm bitch#uhm... anyways yeah. ive done lots of study but why TF share it LMAO i dont even save it#its just to learn. ive got 1 million other drawings to save and look at later.#once the learning is done it's done its job and i have no need anymore#this is why the only studies i have are from school. i had to save and upload them#well. ok also i dont study as much now BUT in my defense im a full time artist#an hour or so a week is different ok im learning while working too.. i learned how to learn and i do it all the time now#master studies#digital art#my art#illustration#my ocs

On the job learning

ON THE JOB LEARNING FULL
ON THE JOB LEARNING PROFESSIONAL
ON THE JOB LEARNING SERIES
In fact, there are several activities associated with learning that can spark such joy. Let’s take an important moment - amidst the current gloom and grief - to appreciate the joy of learning.
ON THE JOB LEARNING PROFESSIONAL
So how can we bring more of it into our professional lives? Where is the joy? The spark of learning joy is real and useful.
ON THE JOB LEARNING FULL
Yet, we all know the thrill that learning can bring: teaching yourself a new skill via a YouTube video enjoying your first joke in a foreign language hearing a child read her first full sentence out loud the confidence that comes with a jujitsu brown belt the youthful, infectious enthusiasm of a 90-year-old learner. And much of the $359 million spent on corporate learning is wasted. Worse still, we associate those experiences with arbitrary pass/fail cut-offs and sinister, official consequences.
ON THE JOB LEARNING SERIES
Schools, workplaces, and their associated compliance drills make a series of mandatory demands from near the start of our lives to near the end. Much of the joy has been snuffed out of learning. While the joy is a worthwhile end in its own right, joyful learning can also be used to ignite individual careers and collective productivity. As adults and professionals we make too little use of it. Joyful learning is a precious gift in times of boom or bust. Keep track of past and future learning with a to-learn list. Think more widely still, drawing your learning experiences from the rich tapestry of life: films, conversations, museums, advertising campaigns, speeches, even Twitter handles. This is true of TED talks too: just one of the 25 most popular TED talks is business related. MOOCs aren’t just about work skills they also cover life skills. Have an open mind about what useful learning content even is. So how can we bring more of it into our professional lives? Start by taking back control of what you read. We argue that this ‘black box’ offers opportunities for multi-disciplinary research projects on the transfer of training that relate the perspectives of educational and economic research. We all know the thrill that learning can bring: teaching yourself a new skill via a YouTube video enjoying your first joke in a foreign language hearing a child read her first full sentence out loud. Despite this progress in the economic literature, the underlying processes through which training leads to a higher productivity remain unclear. The economic literature finds that participation in training is beneficial for both the participating workers and their employers, although there is also evidence that selectivity of workers matters. The aim of this paper is to give an overview of the underlying theoretical paradigm in economics, and the challenges faced in empirical research. In the economic literature, the transfer of training is based on the theoretical framework of human capital theory and has been extensively analysed empirically in econometric studies that take account of unobserved heterogeneity of workers and the selectivity in training participation. Although the transfer of on-the-job training to the workplace belongs to the realm of educational research, it is also highly related to labour economics.

you don't understand how normal i am about the mario & luigi series' FIRST game featuring prince peasley, a character who not only remembers luigi's name, but chooses to forget mario's all while continuously treating luigi like the extra special one out of both the brothers
like. this game emphasized the whole "haha luigi's a loser" mentality nintendo rly latched onto. in the start of this game he is repeatedly being forgotten and belittled and dragged along this way and that
Tumblr media
and then all of a sudden this PRINCE shows up and starts giving luigi all this special attention like? AH. the idea that luigi's self esteem is already so low and then all of a sudden he's having roses thrown in his lap, nicknames given to him, and thanks/compliments left and right
Tumblr media
not to mention the. ahem. butt stabbing scene...
Tumblr media
and the aforementioned deliberate choice of words on peasley's part when referring to mario. he recognizes that luigi is hardly referred to by name and extends that kind of lack of recognition to MARIO instead of luigi, for once!
Tumblr media
and luigi reciprocates hardcore!
he starts greeting/saying goodbye to peasley by waving his hat, blushing around him, collapsing to the floor and sobbing when peasley puts himself in a dangerous situation, and rushing to hug him at the end of the game
Tumblr media
and there’s other little things: like how peasley is straight up winking as he goes to catch luigi from falling
Tumblr media
and in the remake, luigi keeps peasley's rose under his hat! 🥺
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in conclusion: i think their relationship is really important for luigi's self esteem and character arc and more people should witness and recognize their very canonical romance. thank you. <3
