Guess who made a proper dragon Atlas design? I had another design for his dragon form (which might not be seen any sooner since it’s supposed to be his form when he’s on his last life, he has 3 lives including his current/birth, but everything is bound to change at the end, currently Atlas didn’t died even once) but it looked less majestic & cool, although it did looked adorable as hell, so i changed it, and you may wonder “did you came up with this design on your own? Or you got inspired?” Yes, i got inspired, by what?

A few notes on my first read of the artbook:
Monstie babies are very cute. I wish to pet the Zinogre babies in particular.
Ratha: There's several sketches of Ratha stealing fish, no matter if he's tiny or grown. Also, one of his early designs had black scales on his wings and tail that are cut with scales that are edged in light blue. This pattern makes it look like his wings and tail were chained. His egg pouch looks to be macramé, and then when he's still tiny he got around by chilling in a basket strapped to the Player Character's saddle on another Monstie.
Oltura: Absolutely gutted that they weren't able to put in their proposed Oltura Final Attack. It's basically a spinning dive bomb that plays on the glowing wings trope, ending in a very cool (and very menacing) facial closeup of Oltura that I'm sure would be traumatizing. It could have been a super cool parallel to Ratha's glowing wings attack at story end.
Kyle: he thinks the gap in ability between his father, brothers, and him is too big, so he doesn't have much self-confidence in his own abilities. His mother fell ill and shortly thereafter passed away when Kyle was still very young. She was a kind and gentle/mild individual (someone's gotta be in that family, I guess).
Mahana Village: all adults are tattooed (perhaps as part of coming of age rituals). Traditional Mahanan clothing is characterized as being a large cloth that is wrapped around the body. Decorative patterns feature natural motifs such as waves, fish, shellfish, and southern plants, and are always designed geometrically.
Rutoh Village: Riders' saddles are made of metal and leather. The cantles are in the shape of a Kushala Daora head, with the eyes being set with stone. Rutoh donuts have a sugar coating on top so I imagine that they're very crunchy. They come in little hemp bags.
Kuan Village: Kuan Riders apparently all wear some variation of a cape/heavy cloak and have their Kinship Stones set in their breastplates. This is not a trait unique to Avinia, though cloak styles vary from Rider to Rider.
Lulucion: The girls in the marketplace wear dresses with patterns that are inspired by Royal Ludroth armor! I guess that's trendy at the moment.
Hunter Group: They were put in Alloy armor to show that, while they're a serious group, they're also obstinate (hard-headed) and can be inflexible.
Guardian Ratha and Red: Guardian Ratha is quite literally known as the Island's God, though it isn't said when this habit came about. Even without his moss covering, his red scales have turned more or less gray with age. An early design for Red also included a scar on his face that his facial guard only managed to partially stop.
Ena and Alwin: the pendant that Ena wears (and is specifically passed down in her family) appears to be a pretty universal symbol in Rutoh. Alwin also carries similar items on him (his earrings and amulet), with the only difference being in that Ena's are slightly rounder in shape. Alwin's also been wearing some form of circlet ever since he was young--it appears that the stone was always the same, just the way it was set was different. He's also apparently been hauling Ena out of Situations ever since they were young (PC's age, so ~12-15)

Future/Redesign Zellard (Birthday Special)
January 21st, a.k.a. the first day for Aquarius, marks Zellard’s Birthday ! (At least in my AU). So for this special occasion, I decided to do a fanart of him in my Redesign AU (I can work for Future AU too I guess).
-After a while, Zellard will eventually come back at Rutoh and will also regain the villagers’ trust .
-He learned a lot from humans with a heart of gold and will eventually grow to trust them and open his heart to them like he did before.
-Zellard will have a few scars on his face after the Oltura incident.
-His most visible scar will be the Razewing Ratha scar “carved” on his chest ever since what happened with them and the female elder dragon.
-Like all Wyverians, Zellard has a hybrid form with a monster. His is a Silverwind Nargacuga. However, he will also have a Razewing Ratha form, and more importantly an Oltura form (It will be hard to control it, and he will despise it at first because of his mistakes).
-The first time he turned as Razewing Ratha, he had absolutely no control, to a point where the transformation literally burnt his left arm’s skin to ashes.
-Zellard is one of the Wyverians who have a tail. His is pink with motifs on it.
-Just like most Wyverians of Rutoh Village, Zellard will wear a tiara. He will also holds more jewelry than before (inspired by his concept art).
-He will also have to wear a splint all the time on his left leg ever since everything that happened since Oltura.
-Zacharie and Drey, the two Mysterious Riders that wanted to redeem themselves like their leader, often came to visit as they are appreciated by the villagers for their efforts and their personalities overall.
-Since Zellard had been through outraged hybrid forms (since he had two himself), he always helps people in need when they have to handle their out of control hybrid form.
-Elder Maolo always knew deep inside that Zellard would come, despite seemingly being reluctant at first. It was a test (sort of). Ena always believed it to, and she shows it.

Pokémon Nat/Tech stuff. Behind the names
Here’s a thingy for my OC characters for Rokia/Pokémon Natural Technological and how they got their names (This excludes cannon characters and my friend’s OCs whom’s been helping me on this
Gym Leaders:
Raiden: His name comes from Raijin (Raiden), a Thunder/Lighting god from Japanese mythology. A fitting name for an electric type Gym Leader.
Mahina: From the word marina, a place where you dock boats
Sebastian: Pretty obvious, just thought it would sound cool for a Water Type trainer. It was originally going to be spelled as Seabastion before it reverted it.
Raven: From the bird with the same name. Since Ravens are often associated with the creepy and supernatural in many depictions, it works for a Ghost type ninja.
Pascal: From the programming language of the same name. Along with Ruby since these two are a duo/couple and run the new Tech types on their teams, it’s fitting.
Ruby: From Ruby, a programming language. Along with Pascal since these two are a duo/couple and run the new Tech types on their teams, it’s fitting.
Peter: His name comes fro Peter Pan since Peter is a Fairy Type trainer as well as his whole backstory which has a “lost boy” theming to it (His character was an orphan who was taken in by fairy types before he was rescued and adopted)
E4/Rival:
Clef: From the musical term (Since this a crossover region with Mega Man and all).
Clef was based heavily on Baryl (Who was going to be the Player’s/Protag’s main rival outside of their friend (the other PC) when this was still a Battle Network Crossover, down to even using what his typing specialization would be: Fighting.) from the Battle Network series but eventually did go his own way in both personality and role in the story. The connection to Wily and the fact that he would eventually become a member of the E4 after the situation with the main evil team/legendary is cleaned up is all that really remains. And also since Wily is not the big bad in this version anymore (That goes to Xander and the Emerald Spears since I like them a lot better for antagonists who would likely try to use the legendaries for their own plans then Wily.) Clef’s character took more of a note from Silver where he wants nothing to do with Wily and is out trying to find his own purpose in life and even aids the player against Xander under the guise of Aura Man while still being a jerk to the player until they earn his respect and help him open up later on.
Misc:
Professor Europa Aspen: Her name comes from two things, one being the Aspen tree and the other is more of an interesting one. Her first name is actually inspired by the song “Europa and the Pirate Twins” by Thomas Dolby (This song also inspired a lot about her and the Champion’s connection to each other) and also the figure from Greek Mythology (and the reason she uses a Paldean Tauros on her team, a nod to the Minotaur and the Bull from the same myth. Talos is another mention since a… Certain Creation of Hers…)
Lumin: His name means “light”. The reason I chose this was because of his Ace Pokémon: Oltumine (Based on Oltura from Monster Hunter Stories 2. It has a heavy light motif to it since the other part of it’s name is from Lumine)
Algol Fortran: Just like his Grandson (Pascal), he’s named after a programming language. To be precise, his full name is a combination of ALGOL and FORTAN, two programming languages which share a language family tree with Pascal (Which is why Fortran is their family name, since ALGOL and it’s family spawned from that specific family of programming languages)
And no, it was not done as a reference to Dian Shi Ma Li (That was wholly unintentional but I still find it funny)
Perl Fortran: Pascal and Ruby’s (biological) daughter (Peter was adopted by them but does not follow the same naming scheme).
She’s also named after a Programming Language but is also a bit of a mythology gag back to when Nat/Tech was Gregaleo and Falloh. Perl was originally going to be the default name of the female Player Character (Male’s was going to be Hal but so far that one has not been repurposed.)
