Overview
Halloween is a 1978 American independent slasher film directed and scored by John Carpenter, co-written with producer Debra Hill, and starring Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis (in her film debut), with P. J. Soles and Nancy Loomis in supporting roles. Set mostly in the fictional town of Haddonfield, Illinois, the plot centers on a mental patient, Michael Myers, who was committed to a sanitarium for murdering his teenage sister on Halloween night when he was a child. Fifteen years later, having escaped and returned to his hometown, he stalks teenage babysitter Laurie Strode and her friends while under pursuit by his psychiatrist Dr. Samuel Loomis.
Filming took place in Southern California in May 1978. The film premièred in October, whereupon it grossed $70 million, becoming one of the most profitable independent films of all time. Primarily praised for Carpenter's direction and score, many critics credit the film as the first in a long line of slasher films inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Bob Clark's Black Christmas (1974).

It is considered one of the greatest and most influential horror films ever made. In 2006, it was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".
Halloween spawned a film franchise comprising thirteen films which helped construct an extensive backstory for its antagonist Michael Myers, sometimes narratively diverging entirely from previous instalments.

Concept.
After viewing Carpenter's film Assault on Precinct 13 (1976) at the Milan Film Festival, independent film producer Irwin Yablans and financier Moustapha Akkad sought out Carpenter to direct a film for them about a psychotic killer that stalked babysitters
To learn more about Assault on Precinct 13 (1976) click here (12) What Happened To Assault On Precinct 13? - YouTube
. In an interview with Fangoria magazine, Yablans stated: "I was thinking what would make sense in the horror genre, and what I wanted to do was make a picture that had the same impact as The Exorcist."Carpenter agreed to direct the film contingent on his having full creative control , and was paid $10,000 for his work, which included writing, directing, and scoring the film. He and his then-girlfriend Debra Hill began drafting the story of Halloween.
There is an urban myth that the film at one point was supposed to be called The Babysitter Murders but Yablans has since debunked this stating that it was always intended to be called (and take place on) Halloween.[18] Carpenter said of the basic concept: "Halloween night. It has never been the theme in a film. My idea was to do an old haunted house film.
Creating a memorable villain and that famous mask
In devising the backstory for the film's villain, Michael Myers, Carpenter drew on "haunted house" folklore that exists in many small American communities: "Most small towns have a kind of haunted house story of one kind or another," he stated. "At least that's what teenagers believe. There's always a house down the lane that somebody was killed in, or that somebody went crazy in." Carpenter's inspiration for the "evil" that Michael embodied came from a visit he had taken during college to a psychiatric institution in Kentucky. There, he visited a ward with his psychology classmates where "the most serious, mentally ill patients" were held.
Among those patients was an adolescent boy, who possessed a blank, "schizophrenic stare." Carpenter's experience inspired the characterization that Loomis gave of Michael to Sheriff Brackett in the film. Debra Hill has stated the scene where Michael kills the Wallaces' German Shepherd was done to illustrate how he is "really evil and deadly".
Because of the low budget, wardrobe and props were often crafted from items on hand or that could be purchased inexpensively. Carpenter hired Tommy Lee Wallace as production designer, art director, location scout and co-editor. Wallace created the trademark mask worn by Michael Myers throughout the film from a Captain Kirk mask[53] purchased for $1.98 from a costume shop on Hollywood Boulevard. Carpenter recalled how Wallace "widened the eye holes and spray-painted the flesh a bluish white. In the script it said Michael Myers's mask had 'the pale features of a human face' and it truly was spooky looking. I can only imagine the result if they hadn't painted the mask white. Children would be checking their closet for William Shatner after Tommy got through with it."Hill adds that the "idea was to make him almost humorless, facelessâthis sort of pale visage that could resemble a human or not."
Casting
The cast of Halloween included veteran actor Donald Pleasence and then-unknown actress Jamie Lee Curtis. The low budget limited the number of big names that Carpenter could attract, and most of the actors received very little compensation for their roles. Pleasence was paid the highest amount at $20,000, Curtis received $8,000, Â Nick Castle who played the adult Micheal Myers in Halloween earned $25 a day.
In an interview, Carpenter admits that "Jamie Lee wasn't the first choice for Laurie. I had no idea who she was. She was 19 and in a TV show at the time, but I didn't watch TV." He originally wanted to cast Anne Lockhart, the daughter of June Lockhart from Lassie, as Laurie Strode. However, Lockhart had commitments to several other film and television projects. Hill says of learning that Jamie Lee was the daughter of Psycho actress Janet Leigh: "I knew casting Jamie Lee would be great publicity for the film because her mother was in Psycho." Curtis was cast in the part, though she initially had reservations as she felt she identified more with the other female characters: "I was very much a smart alec, and was a cheerleader in high school, so [I] felt very concerned that I was being considered for the quiet, repressed young woman
Jamie lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence who would return as Laurie Strode and Dr. Samuel Loomis.in later episodes of the Halloween Series.
Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Stroude would return in Halloween II (1981) Halloween H20 20 years later (1998) Halloween Resurrection (2002) and the three films in the Halloween reboot trilogy Halloween (2018) Halloween Kills (2021) and Halloween ends.

Music score creating that famous theme
Instead of utilizing a more traditional symphonic soundtrack, the film's score consists primarily of a piano melody played in a 10/8 or "complex 5/4" time signature, composed and performed by Carpenter. It took him three days to compose and record the entire score for the film. Following the film's critical and commercial success, the "Halloween Theme" became recognizable apart from the film. Critic James Berardinelli calls the score "relatively simple and unsophisticated", but admits that "Halloween's music is one of its strongest assets". Carpenter once stated in an interview, "I can play just about any keyboard, but I can't read or write a note." In Halloween's end credits, Carpenter bills himself as the "Bowling Green Philharmonic Orchestra", but he also received assistance from composer Dan Wyman, a music professor at San JosÊ State University.

Halloween the novel
A novelization so beloved that it spawned a commemorative re-release in 2023, Curtis Richardsâs Halloween hit shelves on October 1, 1979, almost one year after the film dropped in theaters. Telling the story of âthe most frightening night of the year,â the novelization extends John Carpenterâs script and combines it, somewhat, with the events that would come in 1981âs Halloween II. (That movie still got its own novelization, though, as did Halloween III.) Thereâs a richer backstory in this for Michael Myers, with an opening that suggests he carries an ancient Druid curse cast that stems from Northern Ireland. Readers also get to experience some of Michaelâs perspective along the way, so some might feel a bit more empathy for himâeven if he is a knife-wielding maniac.
Halloween the Television version
If you had watched the original Halloween film at the cinema and then settled down to watch it again on its television premeire in America in August 1981 you would have seen a very different film.
In 1980, the television rights to Halloween were sold to NBC for approximately $3 million. After a debate among Carpenter, Hill and NBC's Standards and Practices over censoring of certain scenes, Halloween appeared on television for the first time in October 1981.[79] To fill the two-hour time slot, Carpenter filmed twelve minutes of additional material during the production of Halloween II. The newly filmed scenes include Dr. Loomis at a hospital board review of Michael Myers and Dr. Loomis talking to a then-6-year-old Michael at Smith's Grove, telling him, "You've fooled them, haven't you, Michael? But not me." Another extra scene features Dr. Loomis at Smith's Grove examining Michael's abandoned cell after his escape and seeing the word "Sister" scratched into the door. Finally, a scene was added in which Lynda comes over to Laurie's house to borrow a silk blouse before Laurie leaves to babysit, just as Annie telephones asking to borrow the same blouse. The new scene had Laurie's hair hidden by a towel, since Curtis was by then wearing a much shorter hairstyle than she had worn in 1978.[80]

The Original Halloween film was also included on a Screenrant list of Franchises which peaked with the first film they said this about Halloween (1978)
John Carpenter's Halloween introduced the world to babysitter killer Michael Myers and is considered one of the most influential horror movies ever made. The movie became the first entry in the Halloween franchise, which now includes 13 films, with character backstories that became increasingly convoluted and contradictory. However, despite the criticism that later entries may receive, the original movie is largely responsible for the popularization of the slasher genre itself. It would act as the blueprint for countless imitation films about seemingly unstoppable lone serial killers.
Halloween II the sequels and John Carpenters orignal plans
Even after John Carpenter's low-budget slasher movie grew into a massive hit in the years that followed its 1978 release, the director was hesitant about making a direct sequel. Still, he returned alongside his Halloween writing partner Debra Hill for Halloween II, but Rick Rosenthal directed.

Following the 1981 sequel, the Halloween movies went into an entirely new direction, with Carpenter envisioning an anthology plan that would leave Michael Myers behind. Considering Michael Myers' death in theâHalloween Endsâending, the next project in the Halloween franchise can follow Carpenter's anthology plan that started in 1982 by genuinely telling new stories outside of the core villain.
Rather than bring back Michael Myers to terrorize *Haddonfield yet again, Halloween III: Season of the Witch dealt with ancient supernatural rituals and science fiction while focusing on an entirely new cast and setting. The project was meant to transform the Halloween franchise into an anthology series, following a new story on Halloween night for each installment. Carpenter, who made the anthology plan with Hill, intended to leave Michael Myers in the rearview to develop fresh stories. Now that the story of Michael Myers has been on display for decades, the Halloween franchise can take another shot at Carpenter's plan to develop non-Michael Myers stories in the vein of Season of the Witch.

Season of the Witch has garnered a cult following, but it wasn't a success upon release, causing many to wonder why the movie left out Michael Myers. The franchise quickly brought back the killer, and he served as a mainstay antagonist for every subsequent sequel, remake, and reboot installment.
Michael Myers would return to the Halloween Franchise with the aptly titled Halloween 4 the Return of Michael Myers in 1988

Halloween The Tolerance connection
The reason for this deep dive into the Halloween series of films is due to this deleted scene for the Tolerance film that was first published in part 3 of my producers commentary for the Tolerance project Tumblr pages.
Deleted scene
Next up is a small extension to the Mr Grosenberg scene in the Job Centre. It is another of Robert's dreams. Perhaps the director felt that it slowed the story up too much, or it did not add anything or perhaps the fact that Grosenberg had a voice like a Helium balloon was enough!
Props list for this deleted scene includes Ski mask Overalls big knife
Robert is looking at Mr Grosenberg. Mr Grosenberg is looking bewildered at Robertâs face, but what he cannot see is Mike Myers standing behind him, wearing a ski mask and overalls, and holding a gigantic kitchen knife. Mr Grosenberg turns to see the knife looming down on him and he holds up his hands to protect himself, as the knife swings down at his fingers.

The poster for the orignal Halloween film also featured in a Collider film website article called the 25 best movie posters of all time ranked landed at number 13 in their list the poster they had this to say about the poster designed by Robert Gleeson
While it could sound like a bold claim, it may well be the case that horror movies tend to have more iconic posters than any other genre of movies out there. That's not to say all horror movie posters are automatically great or even good, but there are countless beloved ones. The blunt, strong emotion-heavy nature of the horror genre just translates well to bold, memorable images placed on posters, and the wonderful straightforwardness of the original Halloween's poster, for example, demonstrates this excellently.
A slasher movie classic that helped establish John Carpenter as a great director and Jamie Lee Curtis as a star, Halloween is all about a dangerous individual breaking out of a psychiatric hospital and going on a murderous rampage during the titular holiday. The poster uses one of the most recognizable icons of Halloween - a jack-o'-lantern - and pairs it with a hand holding a knife, all against a pitch-black background. The title's Halloween, there's a carved pumpkin, and a scary-looking knife. What more do you need to know?

IC PORTION; BASICS â
CHARACTER NAME/ALIAS: Mia Dearden / Speedy (the second)
FACECLAIM: Ester Exposito
AFFILIATIONS: Team Arrow, Teen Titans, the Nomads
AGE (physical age as well, if different): 23
SPECIES (human, metahuman, alien, etc): Human
IS YOUR CHARACTERâS IDENTITY SECRET OR PUBLIC? Secret
IF SECRET, OR YOUR CHARACTER IS A CIVILIAN, DO THEY HAVE A CIVILIAN OCCUPATION? Mia is new in town, and is currently focusing her efforts on aid work. Sheâs working hard at learning the language so that she can be of more assistance, and potentially work in town in the future.
IF YOUR CHARACTER LIVES IN THE FORTRESS, WHAT ARE THEIR DUTIES? Refugee outreach, and whatever else she might be decent at. Sheâs happy to help out, but canât cook for shit.
DESCRIBE SIX TRAITS (3 positive, 3 negative) YOUR CHARACTER HAS AND HOW THESE AFFECT THEM: + Empathetic and caring: Mia, having been through as much as she has, has a strong push to help others. She has trouble turning people who need help away, and will often find herself reaching for a way to help them. She worked at the community center back home to help youth at a disadvantage (much as she had been herself), and found time to spare to volunteer time at the domestic violence shelter as well. + Bold: Mia is unafraid and outgoing, making her personality very loud and bold. Sheâs unafraid to speak her mind, and is often quite blunt and straight to the point. She speaks to people easily (though making friends is another matter) and is always one to make her presence known. Mia has never been one to slip through the cracks unless it was by personal choice. Mia is best described as an extrovert, and has trouble containing her feelings whether theyâre positive or negative. + Determined: Mia more or less forced her way into being Speedy, which is a surefire show of her determination. Once she sets her mind on something, she will achieve it. Mia has no problems setting goals for herself and setting up steps to get to these goals (yet she struggled with school, ironic). It is hard to sway her away from an idea once she gets her mind set to it. - Stubborn: Hand in hand with determined goes stubborn. Once Mia has her opinion set on something, itâs hard to sway her opinion otherwise. Sheâs unfortunately very hard to persuade out of her opinions, and once sheâs got her mind set on something itâs often set in stone. Even when she can feel herself losing, Mia struggles with letting things go. Hard-headed was the term her mother always used, along with the phrase stubborn as a donkey. - Angry and Confrontational: Considering everything Mia has gone through in her life, having a solid angry streak is something that had been more or less unavoidable. She has a temper thatâs quick to ignite, and she often has trouble bringing herself down once itâs sparked. Mia has the type that can go from 0-100 very quickly, though not at all the other way around. Mia is the type that enjoys confrontation, and itâs something she thrives in. Arguments are her specialty, and not something she will back down from. She is certainly not the type to let things go, and would rather argue until she was blue in the face. She would much rather deal with things now rather than later (and cannot understand why people would rather just let things fester). - Defiant & Rebellious:The word ânoâ is a trigger word for Mia. Being told she cannot do something makes Mia want to do it all the more, and she is even more likely to try once sheâs been told she shouldnât. Rebellion is something that runs deep, even if she (sometimes) tries to fight it. Sometimes with reasoning sheâs able to understand the no, but itâs hard to swallow down the urge to do it anyway.
POWERS AND/OR ABILITIES: Mia excels in archery and acrobatics. The latter came in handy in her time on the streets, and the former is a well-honed and learned skill. Mia is quick and discreet, and able to slip through crowds with ease. Mia has become proficient in swordsmanship and hand-to-hand combat as well. While she is capable of close-range fighting with mixed-martial-arts abilities, she prefers to keep her fighting from a distance when given the option. Sheâs also a damned good pick-pocket, but well, thatâs neither here nor there.
WEAKNESSES: Her immune system is absolutely garbage, and she tends to take a bit longer to heal than sheâd like. She tries to be careful to keep herself in proper health, and does her best to avoid injury. As best as a crime-fighting vigilante can, anyway. Her inability to keep her damn mouth shut can definitely be considered a weakness as well.
WHAT DREW YOU TO THIS CHARACTER? Mia is a goddamn *rockstar.* She was absolutely groundbreaking for the comic book industry considering her positive status, and her persistence is something I admire. Mia has a fighting spirit and doesnât really take no for an answer, which is something I absolutely love about her. Sheâs also not exactly popular in the rpc, and I adore her.
IC PORTION; DETAILS â
WHAT BROUGHT YOUR CHARACTER TO SOKOVIA? Honestly? A bleeding heart. Mia always felt too damn much, especially when it came to people in need. The events that transpired in Sokovia had made her nauseous. It didnât take long for her to get wind of the Nomads, and Mia thought maybe she could be of use, someway or another.Â
DID THEY SIGN THE ACCORDS? WHY OR WHY NOT? Absofreakinglutely not. The Green Arrow didnât sign either, and that would be enough reason for Mia to be deterred in the first place. All in all, Mia did not agree with the Accords whatsoever. Vigilantes existed because the law was imperfect, because sometimes there needed to be a little extra oomph applied when things just couldnât get done legally speaking.Â
PROVIDE 3-5 HEADCANONS RELATED TO YOUR CHARACTER: Despite her hatred of traditional schooling, Mia is an avid reader and educated in her own way. She hated the structure of school, hated having to interact with others her own age, hated having to get up before noon (and well, sheâs always had an authority problem)...but she actually likes learning. She spends a lot of her downtime reading whatever she can get her hands on. Mia also enjoys video games, and may or may not stream herself playing at times via twitch or youtube. Itâs an easy way to veg out and socialize without really socializing. Mia loves boxing, and does it often. Sheâs found itâs a good channel for frustration as well as a good way to train. In her apartment back in Star City, she has a punching bag set up in her living room and found herself at the community center often. Mia has an adrenaline rush addiction that she struggles with daily. She left her motorcycle back home in Star City, and finds she misses the rush of riding (way too fast) more than she thought she would. Sheâs looking into having it shipped, or finding a local one to fix up. Semi-related, she does all the maintenance on her motorcycle herself, having taught herself with repair manuals and youtube tutorials. MIa smokes like a chimney, though is trying very hard to quit. She knows itâs not the best idea, considering her health, but she just canât help herself. Sheâs tried everything - the gum, the patches, replacing the habit with something else. Sheâs quit several times, but has always picked it back up again.Â
WANTED CHARACTER CONNECTIONS: TEAM ARROW! Roy Harper, Oliver Queen, Dinah Lance: These are Miaâs people. She might not necessarily always agree or get along with her adopted family, but Miaâs loyal to them to her very bones. She respects the Green Arrow and still affiliates herself with him, so Iâm eager for interactions with a potential Oliver in the future. Iâm also very eager for Arrow-lady interactions with Dinah! TEEN TITANS! Mia didnât really have too-too much interaction with the Titans, but Iâm excited for potential in Sokovia!
POTENTIAL CHARACTER ARCS: Give me Nomad things! Mia made the jump to help out in Sokovia more on a whim than anything. Sheâs very much a sidekick out of her element, but she wants to help. That being said, I could really see herself throwing herself into the local life? She would want to help on a smaller, more personal level. Help the kids with school, help rebuild someoneâs house. Sheâs going to do her best to try to learn the language so she can potentially work in-town with the locals as well, maybe bartending. Maybe she can serve as kind of a liaison down the road?
CHARACTER BIO â (tw include: mentions of abuse, parental death, drug use/abuse, brief touchings on child exploitation/teen dating an older man/pedophilia, HIV)
Mia does not like to talk about her childhood. A quick overview would detail her fatherâs abuse of her mother, and her motherâs drug use. Her father used too, but drinking was more his style. Next would be her motherâs death when she was young. Her fatherâs abuse then turned to her instead, which she was forced to tolerate for several years. She was eleven when she ran away from home. Mia decided that she would sooner take her chances on the street than stay in that house any longer, and unfortunately, that was the fate she found. Living on the streets was still favorable to living at home, but it wasnât without struggles. Mia was hungry more often than not, and often couldnât sleep in the same place for more than a few nights in a row. A smaller-than-average homeless eleven-year-old certainly did bring in some sympathy donations, but it was never enough. The shelters in Star City were often full, and eleven was much too young to even consider a hotel or an apartment. She was twelve when she met Richard, who was over twice her age, and that was when things took a spin for the worse. She thought he loved her, he promised to take care of her, and she was too young and desperate (with very skewed feelings of what love was after all sheâd lived through)Â to realize this was just abuse of a different kind. She was with him for over a year - sometimes out on the streets again, sometimes holed up in a seedy motel and for a few months, a scuzzy apartment. Richard gave her a taste of the drugs that had taken her mother, and Mia suddenly understood why her mother had been so willing to do whatever it took just to get high. But before long Mia was wondering when she would escape this, when things would get better, and thought maybe it would be better to be on her own again. He wouldnât let her, the abusive pattern sheâd survived as a child returning. Dependent on him for shelter, food and drugs, Mia felt more trapped than she ever had. Until she was saved by the Green Arrow. Mia immediately had adoration for the man that saved her life, and she felt ever-indebted to him for helping to get her off the streets, clean herself up and piece together her life. While he was reluctant at first, Mia began to train with him. This gave her life a purpose that sheâd never had before, and Mia found herself feeling better than she ever had. She learned she excelled at archery with a little bit of training, and the scrappy fighting skills sheâd adopted on the streets became more defined as she learned hand-to-hand combat skills. When not training or in school (something she fought tooth and nail), Mia spent the majority of her free time volunteering and later working at the Star City Recreational Center, and later the domestic violence shelter in town. Mia fantasized of eventually becoming a sidekick to the Green Arrow, even though he squashed that idea from the start. She would persuade him some way, somehow. Mia had just started to feel stable for the first time in her life when things took a downward spiral. It had started with a fever and just general feelings of illness, though things progressively got worse. She finally dragged herself into the clinic in Star City, and would find that things were much worse than she ever could have thought. What she thought was the flu turned out to be HIV, a permanent reminder of the mistakes sheâd made and her time on the streets. The doctor assured her that while serious, the diagnosis was not the death sentence it had once been. If Mia was responsible and took the prescribed medications and took precautions, then her prognosis was very promising. HIV wasnât curable, but controllable. And well, Mia had already been pretty successful at taking control of her life. If anything, her diagnosis was even more of a push for her to become the sidekick she dreamed of being. It took persuasion, but Mia finally donned the title of Speedy (the second), the sidekick to the Green Arrow. She took care to extra-hone in on her long distance fighting skills in hopes to avoid close-contact fighting and end up in a potentially extra-hairy situation. With Oliverâs insistence, Mia joined up with the Teen Titans.T his was done reluctantly, and Mia did not stay with the Titans long. She did, however, feel comfortable enough with them to disclose her status, and occasionally returned to help them on missions. Her passion was with Team Arrow, and that was made even more clear when working with others. The events at Sokovia were devastating, and MIa struggled with her decision making process for quite some time. Sheâd always been interested in refugee work - as sheâd gotten older she volunteered with the Red Cross as well as with various agencies around Star City. The innate instinct to help those in need was strong, and it was pulling her towards Sokovia. Speedy was helpful, sure, but Mia was fairly certain that her experiences as Mia Dearden might be more helpful when it came to the situation at hand. She knew what it felt like to have your world falling apart, and she was more than happy to help others put their pieces back together.

BIOGRAPHY
Ezra had never imagined that he would end up living in an apartment in the city and playing video games for a living. If he had to guess, he would probably have guessed that heâd end up in some desk job and having some house in the suburbs somewhere. Heâs so happy that he didnât have to settle for that.
Being born as the middle child in a house full of siblings left Ezra no option but to fight for attention or get lost in the shuffle. Ezra was never much of a fighter, however, so he was almost always lost in the shuffle. He learned to deal with it, and having tons of siblings meant that there was always someone to talk to and play video games with.
College was never a serious option for Ezra. He did genuinely try in school, but his grades were terrible, and he just wasnât the brightest. Without scholarships, there was no way he or his family could afford it. His family was already living paycheck to paycheck. He took more hours at his minimum wage job, and one day he decided to start a YouTube channel focused on playing video games. It had a slow start, but it eventually took off and Ezra moved into the city, got an apartment, and a job as a barista. In the past two years his Youtube channel has done very well, so he was able to quit the job and do YouTube full-time along with streaming on Twitch.

Write a fic where The rangers and Pearl help Jason propose to Kimberly.
High school had ended a long time ago; each of the rangerswent on their own ways. Except Jason and Kim; they had been dating since highschool. It was the ten year high school reunion; they had stayed in contactwith their friends. Making sure to Face Time each week and catch up but itwould be the first time in years since they were all together. Jason and Kimhad returned to town and they stayed at his parentâs.
Pearl came home from high school and she ran over to hug herbig brother. She had sprouted recently and he hardly recognized her. She let goof him and hugged Kim. They all looked at each other because it had been a fewyears. Jason and Kim tried to make time to come back home but sometimes theycouldnât make the cross country trip.
âYou two have been my greatest success,â Pearl said with asly smile.
âYeah sure Pearl it was all you and not our chemistry andlove that brought us together,â Jason said.
âWow ever the cheese ball, right Pearl?â Kim said andchuckled.
âThatâs why he needed my help,â she said. âWhat brings youback? Is there a new holiday?â
âHigh School reunion,â Jason said.
âDoes that mean what I think it means?â Pearl said with ahuge smile, her eyes as big as ever with excitement.
Pearl hadnât seen much of her older friends in an evenlonger time. As she grew up and became more confident she made friends her ownage. She started hanging out with them more. Sam and Beverly came home holdinggroceries they yelled for Pearl and Bev nearly dropped her bags when she sawJason. She hastily put them down and ran for a hug.
âMy beautiful man!â she said and kissed his cheeks. âKimberly, lovely as ever.â She gave Kim a hug and some cheek kisses.
âGreat to see you Beverly and Sam howâs the boat?â Kim said.
âOld and ready for retirement,â he joked as he put the groceriesdown. Sam had a bit of a limp as he got closer he pulled Jason into a bear hug.He gave Kim an equally enthusiastic yet less bear like hug.
âIs it a holiday?â Sam asked.
âSchool reunion,â Kim said.
âI never went to mine, always kept a close knit group offriends and we all got together and got drunkâ Beverly said and laughed.
âMom!â Pearl said and looked pink in the cheeks.
âOh relax girl, I was young once,â Bev said and smiled. âYoutwo freshen up and have fun. But you arenât leaving right away. Even if I haveto buy a plane ticket or whatever.â
âWe have a vanâ Jason said. âOh I brought Scout out back andhe is having funny being back home. I can tell the traveling gets to him.â
âDo you still have the cat?â Pearl asked.
âYeah she is sleeping in Jasonâs room, I bet Scout missesyou,â Kim said and Pearl took that as an excuse to go out and play with thedog.
It was early enough in the day for Jason and Kim to shower, change and get ready. Pearl had left, probably to see some friends. Jasonpicked up his phone and the text app was open but there were no new texts. Hescratched his head and pocketed the phone. Kim came out the bathroom in a dark rosydress. She caressed his cheek and kissed him.
âHey love birds,â Sam said as he poked his head in. âTake mymidlife crisis car to the reunion. Tell those lame kids you invented a phone orsomething.â
âIt would be nicer than the van,â Kim said as Jason caughtthe keys.
âA Jaguar? Are you and mom getting a divorce?â Jason saidwith a chuckle.
âEver the smart ass, gets it from me. He gets the looks fromhis mother,â Sam said and laughed. âHave fun, be safe and yes Iâll always actlike this.â
***
They had all agreed to meet at the mountainside before thereunion. Jason and Kimberly had got there early and looked down at the citythat once vexed them so in their youth. They were holding hands, reminiscing andJason took a sip of beer before pouring one out for Zordon. He heard Zacklaugh, they turned and he ran over. Jason and Zackâs chest smacked together asthey hugged. Jason looked him over, both in nice suits.
âMissed you man,â Jason said.
âAlways the softy,â Zack said with a grin.
âThings donât changeâ Kim said.
âLook at the nerds,â Trini said. âBring it in.â
They three walked over and got their hugs from Trini. Shehad her hair done and wore a nice dress. It was golden but not sparkly. It feltlike no time had passed but instead of spotty teenagers they were adults, theyall had careers now. They heard clapping and a loud yell of excitement thatbecame hurried footsteps. Billy was in probably the best suit of the guys. Helooked like a billionaire with his sleek glasses and gold cufflinks.
âHow the shit is Billy the best dressed?â Zack said.
âI invented black hole travel with the help of the Aquitians, duh,â he said with a laugh. A very attractive being stood next to him, therangers had vague memories of the Aquitians, they were gender-less and superattractive.
âMy name is Cestria,â they said with an extended hand andall the rangers shook their hand. âItâs nice to finally meet you all.â
âHoly shit as I live and breathe; Jason Lee Scott,â amysterious voice was heard.
A dark haired woman wearing all black crested the hikingtrail. She had an aura of confidence and the others smiles. Tommy Oliver camecloser to the group. She hugged Trini before they kissed. Tommy wore a blacksuit with a green tie, a red handkerchief and a white shirt. She pulled Jasonin for a hug and they both laughed.
âDamn Tommy, you always dressed better than me,â Jason said.
âYou are the reason I became a leader and itâs Doctor Olivernow. Iâve been studying Paleontology and got a doctorate at MIT.â Tommy saidwith her big smile.
âYou always were a Masshole,â Zack said and hugged Tommy.
âZack Attack, howâs the YouTube channel?â Tommy said.
âYou know I host an MTV show, a Netflix original and consultedon three Netflix shows.â Zack said and Tommy hugged him again.
âWhat about you Trini?â Billy asked.
âDid you not see me win a Senate seat for California?â Trinisaid with crossed arms. âWhat about you two? The Power Couple?â
âIâm not in the NFL and Iâm not a doctor or an astronaut.Just a New York firefighter and part-time paramedic,â Jason said like he had adead end career.
âCollege professor at Princeton for Social Sciences,â shesaid.
âHow the hell did a bunch of screw ups become so awesome?âTrini said.
âI think we all had a need to save people be it withinventions, or knowledge or hell Jason you still save people,â Billy said. âCheersto Zordon?â
Jason walked over to a cooler he had brought and got sevenbeers. He handed them out after popping the caps. Their bottles clinkedtogether as they all saluted Zordon the savior of the universe. Their mentor, their father, their friend.
âCome on, letâs show Angel Grove High that a bunch of fuckups are the shit!â Tommy said with a hearty laugh.
***
The six former Angel Grove students were the talk of theschool. There was once a time were gossip was so hate fueled it caused fights.People picked sides and if the team had a wished they wanted to just beignored. Fellow students didnât understand how
Billy could have been married to someone almostunrealistically beautiful. Amanda and Harper glared at Kim and Jason. Ty didhis best to avoid the both of them. Zack was a local celebrity that had beenrumored to have dated a pantheon of Hollywoodâs-whoâs-who of hottestcelebrities be them male or female.
Trini and Tommy had a small following of people that wantedthem to get together. But they had kept it very hush-hush. The former studentsdanced together and as the phones of Zack, Billy, Trini and Tommy vibrated; theplan started to come to fruition.
Jason and Kim danced on the high school gym floor. They hadbeen so focused on each other they didnât notice the song change. The people ofthe school circled around them; leaving them space. His right arm was aroundher waist. Her left arm was around her neck while their hands entwinedtogether. Their song began to play before they heard the voices.
âIâm envious of the love you share,â Zack said.
âI model my relationship with my partner after yours,â Trinisaid.
âYou two were the light at the end of the tunnel thatbrought me to Cestria,â Billy said.
âYour friendship kept me sane,â Tommy said and choked up. âYouare my best friends.â
âYou taught us so much,â Zack said.
âYou showed us love we didnât think we deserved,â Trinisaid.
âI love all of you so much,â Billy said.
âIâve never had friends as loving as you,â Tommy said.
âBut today isnât about that,â said Pearl. âItâs about JasonScott and Kimberly Hart.â
The music resumed, he brushed Kimâs tears and she did the samefor him. Both giving each other long loving looks. As the music slowed the gaspof the school was audible. Jason saw a spotlight and his baby sister holding asmall box. She walked over to them, the spotlight followed her. She handed herbrother the box and he opened it slowly. Inside was the family heirloom. Jasongot to one knee.
âKimberly Ann hart would you make me the luckiest man aliveand marry me?â Jason said.
âYes,â she said between tears. âYes you big stupid blonde lughead!â

Alright so Iâve been tagged in this 11 facts thing by @keldeon so here I go.
1.I have Aspergerâs Syndrome so I obsess over things that donât matter like comic and animation history. Â
2.I have a fascination with human evolution and a deep love of the great apes and primates in general. My favorites are mandrills, macaques, and gorillas.
3.I love learning the behind the scenes of how classic films are made. My favorite Youtube Channels to watch for that are GoodBadFlicks, Oliver Harperâs Retrospective, and Midnightâs Edge. A good podcast for it is The Projection Booth.
4.When it comes to fiction I love over the top insane super villains like Cobra Commander, Skeletor, Lord Death Man, the Monarch, and Hobgoblin.
5. Iâm an atheist but if I had to believe in a god it would be David Bowie.
6.I use to not like anime when I was young because the art styles were to weird for me. The only reason I began to like some was because I got super into Transformers.
7.My favorite film of all time is Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas and Iâm a big fan of Hunter S. Thompson.
8.I love reading all mythology that has to do with Satan.
9.I am forever alone. :(
10.I have hated broccoli ever since I was young and no one will ever get me to change that opinion ever.
11.I donât think Suicide Squad was that bad of a film. It was a severely flawed film that could use some better editing. But it wasnât boring pretentious trash like Batman V. Superman was. Though Jared Leto sucked as the Joker though.

Terminator Terminator 2 Judgement Day and Terminator 3 Rise of the Machines Chapter 2 covers the other films in the series and what links it to the Tolerance project.
Reasons to love the other Terminator films
As I mentioned in the first episode of this blog I said that if it was up to me I would have stopped the Terminator series after the first 3 films I still stand by that but the other films in the series do have there high points as this article from the Screenrant website proves titled 10 good things in Terminator series after T2
To make it easier to understand I have placed the films in chronalogical order not how they were printed in the screenrant article
Terminator 3 Rise against the Machines
The Graveyard Shootout
Most of the iconic iconography associated with the Terminator movies comes from the first two movies. There are so many frames and concepts that have sunken their way into pop culture, but the sequels are severely lacking in those moments. However, the image of the T-800 wilding a mini-gun and carrying a coffin is one of the most iconic moments of the series and one forever associated with the Terminator. Sarah Connor having her grave filled with guns is equally hilarious and fitting for the character and this is one of the better moments of action in the movie.
Terminator 3 Rise against the Machines
The final appearance of Dr Silberman
Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines is the most indebted to James Cameron's first two movies, and is at all times trying to feel like the direct follow-up to T2. This often weighs the movie down, making it feel too repetitive and risk-averse, except for Earl Boen's cameo as Dr. Peter Silberman. The psychiatrist was a big part of the first two movies, and seeing him one last time, finally being afraid of the Terminator, is a great moment of comic relief and payoff. It is a bit of fan service that absolutely works, as well as one of the few times the movie feels alive.
Terminator 3 Rise against the Machines
The Bleak Ending
Most of the runtime of Terminator 3 is spent repeating beats from the first two movies, and it is a slog to get through. However, in the film's final moments, it almost justifies its entire existence. Instead of destroying yet another Terminator and closing the loop, judgment day happens, and humanity is almost entirely wiped out. It is one of the bleakest endings to a studio blockbuster, and while it may betray the sentiment of T2, at least it is trying something different. The ending may not make Terminator 3 worth the watch, but it was a noble idea to end the film on such a dour note.
Telling a different story
Terminator Salvation
McG's Terminator Salvation suffers from a bland script and a muddy visual style, but out of all the Terminator sequels, it took the biggest swing in trying to set the franchise down a new path. Almost every other sequel is trying to recapture the magic of T2, repeating the same plot points and characters, but Salvation decided to forego time travel and focus on the war of the future. The idea of a prequel/sequel following John Connor fighting Skynet is a great jumping-off point for a new trilogy if only the movie took more risks outside the premise.
Good Recasting
To give the series a fresh start, Terminator Salvation has an entirely new cast, with no one returning from any previous entry. This could have been a disaster that made the movie feel disconnected from the rest of the films, but they did a terrific job recasting iconic roles. Christian Bale is the best version of adult John Connor, giving him a gruff edge, but also a humanity that connects him to the child seen in T2, and the late great Anton Yelchin is perhaps the only person who could have believably replaced Michael Biehn.

Terminator Genisys
The incredible De-aging
The 2015 reboot, Terminator Genisys, tried to play off people's nostalgia for the original movies, going so far as to recreate scenes from the first film shot for shot. These scenes were mostly unnecessary and the way the film played with the franchise timeline felt disrespectful, but the effects used to digitally deage Arnold Schwarzenegger to look like he did in 1984 were seamless. This digital Arnold looked even better than the one in Terminator: Dark Fate four years later, and the fight sequence between young and old T-800s was the peak of the movie.
Terminator Dark Fate
The Design of Rev 9
Not only did the T-1000 serve as the perfect villain for the first sequel, but he has proven to be almost impossible to top. No other terminator has been able to match Robert Patrick's intensity, and no design has felt as unstoppable and scary. However, Terminator: Dark Fate's Rev-9 comes as close as any Terminator installment could get. With a nanobot skin that can separate from the metallic skeleton, he is basically two terminators in one, and Gabriel Luna is a talented actor who can make the robot feel like a monster.
Terminator Dark Fate
The Opening Freeway chase
With James Cameron involved again, and Linda Hamilton returning, there was hope that Terminator: Dark Fate would be the return to form the franchise needed. Sadly, the movie dissolves into being yet another repeat of T2, but the film's opening minutes are very promising, and the first action set piece is exciting and well constructed. The movie action becomes ludicrous and unbelievable, but this opening sequence is the perfect mix between grounded and fantastical, making it the highlight of the movie. The epic reintroduction of Sarah Connor at the end is just the icing on the cake.
Terminator Dark Fate
The Character Of GraceÂ
While the movie didn't add up to the sum of its parts, there are a lot of good ideas in Terminator: Dark Fate, the best of which is Mackenzie Davis' Grace. A cybernetic enhanced human, Grace is the best spin on the protector role since T2. She is an interesting character, a good excuse for over-the-top fight scenes, and a vulnerable action star all at the same time. Davis is a stunning screen presence, and this character should have been the sole focus of the movie, but she sadly gets drowned out by all the other balls Dark Fate has to juggle

Tolerance and the Terminator
Why am I talking about Terminator well we almost had a Terminator spoof in the Tolerance film as you can see below first published in the 2nd Part of my Producers comentary blogÂ
Deleted scene
Tolerance deals with five major issues, one of which is transport. The second deleted scene is one I rather miss, and I wish we had kept it as it would have been funny. In the finished film, we see Robert trying to get to his interview; his taxi has not turned up and he just misses the bus; it is just not his day. The deleted scene would have been a Terminator spoof. Perhaps the scene was excluded because the director felt a bus company would not let us borrow a bus for a few hours! It is a shame as Railtrack let us borrow a train for half a day for the Huddersfield Station sequences later in the film.
Terminator!
Robert falls into one of his day dreams and lifts himself out of the chair and onto the bus. He is now wearing full bike leathers, sun glasses and motorbike boots; the passengers on the bus look terrified!
ROBERT: Town.
Robert hands the driver a ten pound note.
BUS DRIVER (pointing to a sign which says correct change only): Correct change only mate.
Robert leans into the perspex.
ROBERT: 'Iâll be back'
Robert the Terminator steps off the bus; the bus pulls away leaving him standing next to the wheelchair in his normal clothes. According to the shooting schedule if this scene was shot it would have been recorded on the 17th August the same day as the Huddersfield Train station scenes making a long day even longer perhaps another reason why it was cut
The props listed for this deleted scene include full leather gear motorbike boots sunglasses and rather strangely a red eye was Richard planning to have a prosthetic eye made just for this scene ?

Best Instagrams for Men's Style Inspiration
Gone are the days you waited for your monthly GQ to arrive in your mailbox to source your style inspiration. How many pages did you have taped to your walls to inspire your next big clothing buy at the Gap? Ok, maybe I am dating myself. Regardless, thanks to the internet, there are now literally millions of places to find style advice and it is overwhelming.
While the big name magazines are still around , there are blogs, Reddit and subReddit chat rooms, as well as YouTube videos and daily email blasts that tell us whatâs hot, whatâs not and where to buy it. Of course the Grand Poobah of style arbitration is Instagram. There are now thousands of âinfluencersâ who snap their way to millions of followers by showing us how they dress on a daily basis. While many of these guys seems like they donât have a clue what real style is, we applaud the attempt. Because of them, men and women are trying harder than ever to look their best 24/7 just in case their OOTD is captured on social media for all of the globe to see.
That said, there are some incredibly dapper gents to follow on Instagram. They know their style and share with us their favorite finds from around the world. Then there are those dudes who are just effortlessly stylish. We enjoy following them too. They may wear some serious suits, but their lifestyle can be just as enviable. Highest respect goes to the guys who give back. They post about helping others, raise awareness for a cause, and encourage their followers to do the same. Below you will find our favorite 13 guys to follow for style inspiration.

Itâs refreshing to see a gent in his 50s getting so much attention for his personal style. While Rutherford began as a model in the 90s, much of his career was spent on the production side of things. But thanks to social media, his mug is the main attraction once again. Besides collaborating with menswear brands like ISAIA and Todd Snyder, he also dedicates his time to helping LGBT youth through GLSEN.

He currently travels the world, playing gigs and attending trade shows.
âEvery time I see a musician walking down the street I say, âHey, whereâs the gig?â Because it doesnât matter what kind of music you play, if youâre carrying an instrumentâgoing to a rehearsal, or coming back from a repair shop, whatever it isâwe all need our gigs. And thatâs what the union is all about. Hopefully, we can all keep working and be supportive of everybodyâs gigs. Thereâs room for everybody.â THE EARLY YEARS Jon Hammond was born in Chicago in 1953. His father was a doctor and his mother was a housewife. They both played the piano. In 1957, his parents moved Jon and his four sisters to Berkeley, CA, where his father worked in a hospital as head of the emergency room. When he was nine, Jon started accordion lessons. âIn those days, they had studios where parents would drop their kids off after school for tap dancing and accordion lessons. There were accordion bands and they would compete against each other.â Jon played his first gig at a senior citizens luncheon when he was eleven. Not only did he get a free lunch but he was paid $25 âa lot of money in those days. Jon says his father was supportive, but did not want him to pursue a music career. âHe told me that music was a great hobby. He got me a wonderful professional accordion for my Bar Mitzvah, directly from John Molinari, one of the greatest accordionists who ever lived. It was a Guilietti Professional Tone Chamber accordion. Thatâs the accordion I won Jr. Jazz Champion on in 1966.â In high school, Jon attended a private boys school in San Francisco. He was a class clown, and when it got to the point where he was going to be expelled, Jon took his accordion and ran away from home. He immersed himself in the San Francisco music scene and started playing organ in several bands. By 1971 he was in a four piece rock group called Hades which shared a rehearsal space with Quicksilver Messenger Service. âI was friends with their manager, Ron Polte, who also managed guitarist John Cipollina. We got to open for his band, Copperhead.â Jon continued to play gigs in the Bay Area in different configurations, including a few gigs with a young Eddie Money. By this time Jon had become frustrated with the Bay Area scene. One night while playing a biker bar he got into a fight and his band didnât come to his defense. âThat was the last straw. I was angry and I said I wasnât coming back.â
Jon in the early 70s Jon moved to Boston in 1973 to attend the Berklee School of Music. He also got a gig playing in Bostonâs Combat Zone backing up burlesque shows. When Jon saw one of his idols, pianist Keith Jarrett play in New York he told him he was going to Berklee and asked him for advice. âKeith looked me right in the eye and said âBerklee can be very dangerous for your music.â It was like he popped this huge bubble. Years later I came to understand what he was talking about. You have to learn the fundamentals, but the music itself comes from a much deeper place. They canât teach that, you have to find it yourself.â When Jonâs teachers began sitting in on his gigs in Boston, he questioned why he was in school if the teachers were coming to play with him. He quit school, moved to Cape Cod and started playing with bandleader Lou Colombo. âHe did all the private parties for Tip OâNeill. We played what they used to call the business manâs beat. On the gig it was forbidden to swing. It was like swing cut in half. So if you tried to go with the four, Lou would say, âDonât swing it, donât swing it.â He pounded it into my head night after night.â LATE RENT In 1981 Jon took a trip to Paris where he broke through his writers block and wrote some of his best music. He returned to New York with his new tunes and started a production company with the idea of getting a record deal for a friend that had played on a #1 hit record. After months of pounding the pavement with no results, Jon realized he had better work on his own music before his money ran out. He took the last of his savings, including his upcoming rent money, and went into the studio to record what came to be known as âThe Late Rent Sessionsâ. The session had Todd Anderson on tenor sax, Barry Finnerty on guitar, Stephen Ferrone on drums, and Jon on B3. They recorded at Intergalactic, the last studio that John Lennon recorded in. Jon had no luck getting a record deal for his new project, but he did get gigs in New York with his band Jon Hammond and the Late Rent Session Men.

He started broadcasting on Manhattanâs public station in 1984. âI decided I was going to produce a radio show on TV. The first episodes showed just my tapping foot and my voice. It was a gimmick. We had graphics that were synchronized to go with the music. It worked out well. People dug it.â Within a few weeks, Jon was interviewed and featured in Billboard Magazine. The Jon Hammond Show was considered an alternative to the clips on Cable TV. âMTV was still in its infancy. We had a concept that was revolutionary. My phone started ringing and we were the hot kids on the block.â LIVING ABROAD Jon continued to play gigs in New York and produce his TV show. In 1987, he went to his first trade show (NAMM) where he was introduced to Mr. Julio Guilietti, the man who built his accordion. He then began traveling to trade shows and making contacts with musicians and companies around the world, including Hammond Suzuki. âThey gave me the Hammond XB-2, the first really powerful portable Hammond organ. Glenn Derringer, one of my all-time heroes, presented it to me. I got one of the first. Paul Shaffer from the Letterman Show got the other. At the time there was only one EXP-100 expression pedalâwe had to share the pedal. I used the pedal for my gigs and when Paul needed it I would bring it over to him at 30 Rockefeller Center on my bicycle.â In the early 90s, when his New York gigs began drying up, Jon was encouraged to go to Germany. âIt was a hard time. My father had just died and there were very few gigs. I got the XB-2 organ right when I needed it, so I decided to take a chance. I bought a roundtrip ticket to Frankfurt with an open return. I went with 50 bucks and stayed for a year. When I came back, I had 100 bucks.â Jon stayed at a friendâs house and played a borrowed accordion on the street until he could get a band together. âI played on the street until my fingers turned blue and would collect enough money to get some fish soup. After about two weeks I got a callâI had put a band together and had 3 gigs coming up. A TV show had heard my story and wanted to do a story on me. At the first gig 19 people came; the second only 15 people came. Then I got the little spot on TV. When I came to the third gig people were lined up down the street. When I walked up I thought they were having an art exhibit. When they said, âNo, theyâre waiting for you.â I choked up, I couldnât even talk. So Iâve been playing there every year since. The people in Germany really saved my musical career at a time when very few things were happening for me in New York or San Francisco. I have a really good following in Europe. I keep busy as a musician in the States, playing hospitals and assisted living places, but my band dates I pretty much play overseas.â Jonâs Late Rent Sessions was eventually released on a German label and received modest airplay. During the 90s he travelled back and forth to Europe, spending a year playing gigs in Paris, and eventually settling in Hamburg. Since then he has released two more albums and has played gigs in Moscow, Shanghai, and Australia. With the help of the internet, Jon is able to produce his TV show anywhere. PRESENT DAY In the mid-2000s Jon produced Hammondcast, a radio program for CBS that aired in San Francisco at four in the morning and was rebroadcast before Oakland Aâs games. âWhen the baseball games played in the afternoon, my show would play for about 20 minutes and then it was pre-empted. I had a lot of fun with that.â His guests included Danny Glover, Barry Melton from Country Joe & the Fish, and many local people. âIt took me awhile to figure out that I had permission to broadcast anything I wanted. I could play the London Philharmonic or Stevie Wonder. My tag line was âHello, Hello, Hello! Wake up or go back to sleepâŚââ Today, Jon continues to visit tradeshows and is determined to keep doing everything he does as long as he can. âI made a pact with my longtime co-producer, guitarist Joe Berger, that we are going to go to these trade shows until we are little old men with canes.â Jon has released four CDs
