Hi! I was wondering what Pokémon are for adoption right now. My sewaddle has been looking rather lonely as of late and I’d love to get him a little (or big) freind! Im a bug/grass trainer.

Hey! So, for you, I'm only going to suggest bug and grass-type pokemon BUT I will also recommend some eggs and pokemon of other types at the end just in case you decide to try it out :D Without further ado:

Sakura the Leafeon: This little girl used to be a 'life coach' She was owned by a terminally ill man to support him both around the house and emotionally in his last years. She is a very heavy-headed pokemon, she is quiet and very gentle with everyone and everything but she gets distracted easily. She likes to stop to inspect every flower, look at every passing bird, watch the wind ruffle the leaves of a tree, and many more. She takes life slow and steady. Her name comes from the pink tint at the tip of her 'leafs' because the poor thing suffered a form of fin-rot when she first evolved. It's pretty, yes, but you need to get it checked regularly to make sure the cells are dead and not spreading.

Prima Donna the Dolliv: Another little girl. The only way to describe her is, well, spoiled. The same old story of being owned by some up-and-coming actor, Getting spoiled to the core, and then getting thrown aside when you evolve. Apparently, the actor only wanted a lap smoliv and didn't want to deal with a dolliv that might just evolve again. She is kinda brash and definitely needs strict boundaries and strict training to learn the do's and don'ts. She is definitely a prime example of her species. The head-to-olive ratio would win her an award.

Caterpie: If you want another little friend to your sewaddle, this little guy would be perfect. He is a catch-and-dump but his wild pokemon background doesn't really show. Friendly, curious, and cheerful. He would make a perfect house pet.

Ah the surskit: He is just a little dude. He used to belong to a swimming coach for children. He is good with kids and can definitely alert someone if you are drowning and thanks to knowing aqua jet, he has no problem saving you himself. He is on the lazy side, though. He got dumped here for refusing to work. I can relate.

Now! A few mentions: Mint the male meowstic, Bruce Wayne the cubone, 2 Igglybuffs that bonded so have to be adopted together, Bagel the Furfrou (he hates getting a haircut, that's why he is dumped here), 17 inkays (we got lucky with the number of inkays we got in the 'accident')

Lastly, a few eggs: A combee egg, 4 bunnelby eggs, probably a squirtle egg, a paras egg, a mimikyu egg, a mankey egg, and finally, a sentret egg

Just a little reminder, anyone else can adopt them too :D

What time is it? It's time for another thread no one asked for! This time, I'm going to look at Greece, Egypt, Türkiye and Cyprus- what Pokémon they'd specialise in if they were gym leaders and what kind of team they'd have if they were Pokémon trainers. Let's go! (No but really I love doing these they're so fun hah).

Türkiye:

Due to the country's climate and given canon Türkiye's fiery temper, I can see gym being a fire type gym leader!

For his gym, I imagine it'd take place in a Turkish bazaar, similar to the famous Istanbul's Grand Bazaar. The trainer is tasked with obtaining a set amount of items on a list whilst also battling trainers along the way as they make their way through the bazaar. Once this task is complete, they're then able to face Türkiye whose battlefield past the bazaar is a mosque (reference to the Blue mosque here and the religion in the country). The mosque has a dedicated gym inside where you two will battle. After you win and obtain your gym badge, Türkiye will offer to take you on a tour of his capital city (reference to canon Türkiye being protective over travellers in the series where Italy is robbed).

Türkiye's potential fire type team: Charizard (Mega), Rapidash, Typhlosion, Houndoom, Flareon and Infernape.

Türkiye's more varied trainer team: Polteageist (a reference to Turkish tea), Driftblim (a reference to Turkish hot air balloon rides, which are a popular tourist experience), Lycanroc Midnight Form (reference to the country's national animal, the grey wolf) and Milcery (reference to the yummy Turkish treats the country is known for such as Baklava and Turkish delight).

Greece:

For Greece, given the country's famed archeological ruins, history, mythology and based on canon Greece caring for and unearthing his mother's ruins, I can see him being a ground type gym leader!

I can see him gym taking place at the sight of ancient ruins (inspired by the Parthenon and Acropolis). As a trainer you're tasked with unearthing six small artefacts that have been purposely hidden for your challenge whilst battling fellow trainers and archelogists along the way. Once this is completed you are able to face Greece, who is front and center in the middle of the ruins of an impressive building with the battlefield being an ancient one that has enduring centuries upon centuries of use. When you defeat Greece and obtain your gym badge, he will gift you an evil eye (reference to Greek culture) and invite you to have a picnic with him overlooking the ruins from a hill top.

Greece's potential ground type team: Rhyperior, Golurk, Excadrill, Golem, Donphan and Marowak.

Greece's more varied trainer team: Finizen (reference to Greece's national animal being the Dolphin), Meowstic (Male and Female forms, reference to canon Greece's love of cats and the stray cat population in the country), Cinderace (since this Pokémon is athletic and supposed based on sports player, this would be a fitting reference to Greece's Olympic games) and Arboliva (reference to Greek olive oil and olives).

Cyprus:

Based on Cyprus' beautiful beaches and the fact he's an island nation surrounded by the incredible Mediterranean sea, I can envision him to be a water type gym leader.

I imagine his gym to take place at a beach (Cyprus' beaches are quite the tourist attraction). There, the trainer is tasked with engaging in a beach volleyball where, the trainer has to then double battle the loser before progressing onto the next match. At the final match, you'll face Cyprus. The main battlefield will open up beyond the volleyball court, a combination of water and land, where beach goers and tourists will surround the two of you cheering. Once you win and get your gym badge, Cyprus will gift you a scuba mask (a reference to the popular practice of wreck diving at Zenobia).

Cyprus' potential water type team: Kingdra, Swampert (Mega), Greninja, Carracosta, Milotic and Kingler.

Cyprus' more varied trainer team: Mareep (a reference to the country's national animal, the Mouflon), Gogoat (reference to Cyprus' popular cheese, in particular Halloumi, which is made from sheep or goat milk), Oricorio (a reference to the famous Limassol carnival) and Solrock (reference the weather and climate Cyprus gets).

Egypt:

Based on his mythology, ancient history especially the mythology surrounding death and the afterlife as well as the mummys that have been discovered, I can see him being a ghost type Pokémon gym leader.

Based on the booby traps explorers would encounter when entering tombs, I can see Egypt's gym being within a purpose build pyramid. The trainer must enter the pyramid and solve a range of puzzles, avoiding the booby traps and encountering fellow trainers. When they reach Egypt, the battlefield is in a large clearing with numerous sculptures and scriptures across the walls- it looks like a real ancient Egyptian tomb! Once you defeat Egypt and gain your gym badge, he will gift you some water because he'd say you look thirsty.

Egypt's potential ghost type team: Hisuian Zoroark, Chandelure, Aegislash Blade form, Dhelmise and Runerigus.

Egypt's more varied trainer team: Lucario (since Lucario appears to be quite alike the Egyptian God Anubis), Braviary (based on the the country's national animal, the steppe Eagle), Unown (reference to the Ancient Egyptian language) and Krookodile (based on the Nile Crocodile).

My Espeon art's hit a second-wind on here (goodness knows why; I don't think that one's aged that well, but I'm happy people enjoy it). Years ago, I was a trainer like you. I had a team full of Pokemon I loved and cherished.

But...things happened, and I became unable to take care of them all properly.

I tried hard to keep going, to do my best to take care of them despite that, but their needs just weren't being met.

So I traded most of them away, to close friends of mine.

All I have left now is my Meowstic, Sticks.

Even so, I still video call with my friends, and can see my teammates again. It's different, sure. But it's not a true goodbye.

Point is, you still have Oliver, and in a way, you still have Cinder too. You'll still be able to see Cinder over video calls, even if it's not quite what you were hoping.

I know it hurts a lot. I know it's scary.

But maybe one day, you'll meet again, and it'll be everything you dreamed of.

For now, though, you still have Oliver. Take good care of them.

Hetalia Platonic Ships Week Day 3: Into the World of Pokemon

After moving in with their 1ps, the 2ps have had no shortage of weird moments they've experienced. One such crazy and weird adventure would be the time the Japans got them all sucked into their newest pokemon game thanks to a new virtual reality invention. Let's see how this goes!

Dropped into various areas around the pokemon universe everyone freaks out and Luciano's particularly enrages screams can be heard everywhere. Starting in the beginner's area, everyone is separated and given their own starter Pokemon. Alfred immediately starts fanboying and runs up to every Pokemon he sees with his starter Rufflet following right behind while Allen gets his bat out as he has no idea what's happening as he's never gotten into video games and mostly tries keeping him out of trouble while eyeing everything with suspicion. Once he catches up and Alfred somewhat comes down from his fanboy high, Alfred immediately gives a fast explanation and tells Allen everything about Pokemon. Allen gets the gist of it and is really interested in Pokemon as they start exploring with his own Houndour walking beside him and his bat swung on his shoulder. France starts freaking out about his hair when a Caterpie string shots it while his Roselia fusses over it. Roselia seems to share the same personality as France. Luiz can't help but scoff and puts his cigarette out, being in a forest and all, and starts to pick a path with his Espurr and leave the two freaking out peas in a pod behind to catch up once they notice he's gone.

Arthur and Oliver get dropped somewhere nearby. Arthur is immediately taken by his Galarian Ponyta introducing her to Flying Mint Bunny. Interestingly, the pokemon can actually see Arthur's magical friends. Oliver immediately starts gushing about his Slwirlix and how helpful he is with baking. They are the only ones who can completely understand and talk to their pokemon thanks to FMB translating. They end up running into the France's and Arthur and Francis immediately start going at it. Thanks to Japan giving their starters similar personalities, Roselia and Ponyta also start bickering. Meanwhile, Oliver is gushing over how adorable Luiz's Espurr is and showing him Swirlix. Luiz, who quickly grows a soft spot for Espurr, humors Oliver.

Mathew and James end up near a stream where a Bidoof and Bibarel dam is. Thanks to countries having a natural connection to their national animal, this also extends to pokemon and they quickly befriend them, becoming the Beaver kings. Mathew has a Cubchoo while James has a gruff Teddiursa. James is immediately reminded of Kuma and how Kumajiro was as a cub and becomes extremely protective. The Bidoof and Bibarel help them find their friends. Gilbert and Klaus start out in a cave somewhere and thanks to millions of Zubat, get immediately get ejected. They come out to see a hilltop view a la BOTW. GIlbert has a Sneasel with the same mischievous streek GIlbert has while Klaus, being the trained knight he is, has a Honedge. Gilbert tries leading them but he and Sneasal immediately fall into a nearby stream because he wasn't looking. Elsewhere, Ludwig gets that strange feeling Gilbert is somewhere doing something stupid while he's petting his Riolu, and Lutz's Poochyena is napping on his stomach. The aforementioned Lutz is taking a nap on the ground. Feliciano has an Eevee and Luciano has a Zorua. Feli immediately tries to say high to every Pokemon in the vicinity and almost gets stunned by grass types, blown away by flying types, etc. Luciano wonders how he'd ever survived out here on his own without him. Flavio starts out with a Popplio and takes it in stride! He helps the, at first timid, Popplio regain his confidence by reminding him it's not the outside that matters and that he has an inner beauty that shines through. Lovino ends up with a grumpy little tsundere Pikachu and tries to find their way to the others while Flavio and Popplio are preoccupied with an impromptu photo shoot. It doesn't take long for them to reunite with Feliciano and Luciano and Feli immediately gets excited to show them his and Luciano's pokemon and meet theirs. Eevee's hyper personality exhausts Pikachu.

Ivan ends up with a Sunflora and immediately names him Sunflower. Viktor thinks it's a stupid name but d doesn't say anything because he knows Ivan loves them so much. Viktor ends up with a serious Bagon who he helps train to evolve. Yao practices martial arts with his Meinfoo while also keeping Xiao and his Aipom out of trouble. Finally, the Kiku has a Treecko for himself and Kuro has a Pawniard.

Eventually, they all manage to meet up with everyone talking excitedly or angrily about the pans sucking them into the game. Luciano especially exclaims they'll pay while Feliciano and Alfred are thanking Japan for doing something so cool. All of the countries start bonding with their partners and the Japans pass out Pokeballs and Ppkedexes for the fun has just begun. Kiku and Kuro regret nothing!

Meanwhile, in the real world: The other countries eventually notice there all missing and they come to the meeting to find them in the game.
