Goodevening! It's April 11th and the second anniversary of when I started making art! These Gastlys were the first sprites I had ever made!

I only really counted the second of those Gastlys as an earnest attempt at the time. So to commemorate my second year, I upped the ante and drew *two* of them :).

idk how good of a measure of yearly progress these guys are, but I enjoy a good tradition here and there and I had fun making them!

I'm really proud of the progress I made in my second year of this! Wagh, It's felt like longer than that though!

I started drawing pixel art in a very unhappy and lonely time in my life and while I'm still not where I wanna be with everything and the world is generally spooky right now, things are a lot better than they were. Thank you!

dan olson's decentraland video is extremely funny and insightful but i also feel lowkey (and perhaps rightfully) microaggressed by his constant sneering dismissal of the idea that one could inhabit and live in a virtual space. like i have a lot of fantasies about technology progressing to the point of infinite immersive species affirmation universes and he makes me feel really stupid for thinking that. it's probably a me issue
