One day things are gonna be different. Maybe not today; maybe not soon; and maybe not perfect, but one day things are gonna be different.

Iron Hands! This one was a fun challenge and I think it came out pretty good, all things considered!

I think this was one of the few advertisements to work on me of all time. Like, you could be Riolu in this one???? Wow!
And I got Riolu on my first try taking the quiz!

btw if i ever reply to anybody with something that's only barely germane to what you were talking about it is probably because my mind got sidetracked thinking about something tangentially related.

i don't really mean this as criticism but every They Might Be Giants song i've ever heard all share this same ultra particular vibe i can only describe as "this sounds like something a programmer started spontaneously singing around the house at like two in the morning because he was trying to annoy his girlfriend's cat"

I need to engage more with tumblr... Anyway, here's an aside I made to a post on bluesky that nobody should be buying right-wing dip Palmer Luckey's overpriced Gameboy clone especially, but not exclusively, because cheaper or better options exist. One of which is buying used or for repair consoles. So here's a couple opinions on Nintendo handheld repairs:
In my experience the DMG Gameboy and Color are very manageable to do basic repairs and mods on and I assume the Pocket and original GBA is as well, but I've never owned either. The GBA SP is also ok, minding the screen's ribbon cable.
DS onward is absolute hell.
Also not sure if buying to repair is actually the economical decision atm, I'm not sure prices for guaranteed working consoles are comparatively high enough yet to head the risk of an unrepairable console, but it is fun to take apart and put stuff back together. Hobby in and of itself. :p
BONUS: the SNES has more easy to misplace parts than you would think and it helps to take photos during disassembly so you remember which parts went where and how. Also don't smoke because it will make your otherwise working SNES reek and if you sell it whoever buys it will have to take it apart for no other reason than to get that stuff out of your otherwise honestly pretty pristine SNES and it will eat through their supply of isopropyl alcohol and smoking might also be bad for your health or something???

So Micah's doing okay now? If so, then what about Language? Is he doing any better?
... Okay so fun fact about that.
I actually rewrote Language's story awhile back, because his story is so DAMN old and aged and bad and bleh.
Genuinely I just have to go back to that, fix him up and give him more content. I've just been obviously focusing on one cat more than others.
But! He does have a new current design, kind of. (I say new like this wasn't made in the summer and I just forgot to go back to it. Woops)

Take a closer look at that snout!
Cyndaquil, my childhood PMD crush <3. I forgive you for your pacifism because I accidentally set your ai to avoid fights and didn't know how to change it until late in the game.
(I drew him a little too small, imo. Should've taken up more of the 40x40 area. But I did draw a few quick, rough sketches before starting on the sprite and that really helped me with getting the sprite done quickly! Little steps.)
