okay. im a perfume nerd and i just can’t get this out of my head and these are all my own little brainworms so 🤪

perfume scents that every man in the 141 loves.

price is a classy man. but i also think he isn’t a huge fan of anything strong — he likes how you smell naturally. anything light, airy, a little floral but not like grandma rose perfume floral. price is the type of guy i see having fresh laundry scented candles in his house and a “fresh and clean” air freshener for his car. this man is tired and approaching middle age and he just wants his shit to smell good. including you. i hc something along the lines of maison margiela replica’s lazy sunday morning edt, glossier’s you edp, dedcool’s fragrance 03 blonde edp. for something more recognizable, gingham and sweet pea from bath & body works.

i feel like he’d also like chanel no. 5 just because of the name. his mum wore it. it’s sentimental for him.

notes: crisp fruits (pear, apple), light floral (jasmine, rose, lily of the valley, lilac), light musk, milk

gaz loves when you smell like a cashmere sweater. warm, sweet, but soft and homey. he wants to come home and just sit there and sniff you because you smell like a warm hug after a long day (it makes sense in my head okay). he’s the type to come along to sephora and ulta and hold the bottle while you spray the testers and he’ll tell you if something smells good (everything smells good, he likes seeing you smile & he’s paying anyway). philosophy’s fresh cream edp, ariana grande’s cloud intense edp, byredo’s slow dance edp, and skylar’s fall cashmere edp are all scents i think he’d love. i also feel like ivory cashmere from bath & body works is a given.

johnny. johnny is a man of taste, okay? this man loves a unisex fragrance. (they all do. but like. johnny truly just loves a scent that is just a scent. no feminine or masculine packaging.) literally anything that smells good has his paws all over you. i feel like he’s a woody, earthy scents kind of guy. just smell like a forest and he’s head over heels. like le labo’s santal 33 edp, tom ford’s oud minerale edp, zodica perfumery’s eau de dallas edp, dossier’s ambery saffron and woody oakmoss edp. mahogany teakwood & into the stars from b&bw will also get this man’s heart rate wild.

notes: bergamot, oud, amber, musk, sandalwood, cedarwood, spices (cardamom, ginger), fir balsam

simon is a gourmand man. change my mind (you can’t). this man will get a whiff and have to stop himself from nibbling on you like a cat. or he doesn’t. you just smell too good, love. i don’t think he has a specific preference in terms of general scent, but anything that smells yummy has him drooling. sweet, warm, similar to gaz but more in the food direction than the cozy warm direction. i think le monde gourmand’s crème vanille edp, kayali’s yum pistachio gelato intense edp, billie eilish’s eilish 1.0 edp, sol de janiero’s brazilian crush cheirosa '71 fragrance mist. sweet whiskey and viva vanilla from b&bw are also delicious to layer with.

ever protected by the frankincense fumes of her faith, alicent favors jasmine scented bath oil. from the lush gardens of the reach, floral is home — where she takes refuge. jasmine is less offensive and quieter then other florals, and she wears it like a sigil.

consequently, all of her children grown into the same scent pallet.

aegon doesn’t really care. the servants can put whatever oil into his bath that they chose, and he will not protest. jasmine just hasn’t left the warm water since he was a child, bathed in his mothers safety. it mixes with the syrupy sweet smell of grapes and spice, mulled wine, that drips from his tongue when he opens his mouth.

helaena likes the smell of jasmine, it makes her think of her mother — and when her mother was happy. it compliments the earthy scent that sticks to her skin from hours spent in the gardens looking for creatures in the dirt. petrichor and rosemary follow suit, dancing through the smooth strands of her silver hair.

of alicent’s children, aemond is the most fond of the floral scent. jasmine oil flows heartily into the water of his methodical bath. it gives him an obsessively clean scent, mixed with the heavy lye soap he scrubs his skin near raw with.

rhaenyra never favored overly ‘feminine’ scents. if she smelled like dragon and smoke, she was keen to lean into fragrances that covered that. cetalox and amber bear enough ambiguity to cover what she does. the frankincense smoke that sticks in her hair on the worst days revelas more than it covers — a yearning for something lost.

ever his mothers son, jacaerys follows in her amber scented footsteps. warm and heady, sweet spice and patchouli mark his presence. they blend well with the smokey scent he can’t quite scrub from his skin — too much time on dragon back. hair is cherished on dragonstone, and the lavender oil that soaks his curls every fortnight softens the intoxicating fragrance of his being.

cregan is ever bound to the north, the smell of pine trapped in his hair, and under his skin. warm and grounding, cedar wood and vetiver make his embrace even safer, crowing his thick furs with the smell of home.

Explain the basic: Oils

Check out Part 1, which explains how to use the things down below. Disclaimer: All the things in this post are based on research and personal experience. As much as I could be a teacher, I suggest you find many resources for knowledge to develop your own experiences. Make sure you research the oils you buy/use because some oils can damage or hurt your skin in a really bad way. as well as some aromatherapy oils that can hurt your pet (if you have one).

Types of oils

Anointing oils — A sacred oil that’s blessed and charged and specially formulated for a specific purpose, usually for people.

Carrier oils — Vegetable and mineral oils that are used to help dilute essential oils that could cause skin irritation.

Condition oils — Anointing or conjure oils used to help relieve or improve someone’s condition.

Conjure oils — A dressing oil from an ancient practice usually African, European, or Native American traditions. Often found in Hoodoo.

Dressing oils — Specially prepared oil applied to spell and ritual objects before using them to sanctify, charge, and prepare them for use.

Essential oils — Volatile, concentrated oils, with the characteristic scent of the plant/flower they are from.

Ritual oils — Oils used to anoint candles, ritual tools, material, furniture, money, and other such items, and then use to anoint the body are often also called anointing oils.

Basil: Stimulates the mind, used in money-attracting oils, and encourages peace

Benzoin: Increases personal power and awakens the conscious mind

Bergamot: Money and protective rituals

Black Pepper: Protection and promotes courage

Chamomile: Meditation and inducing peace

Camphor: Purification and promoting celibacy

Cardamom: Energy to love and sexually oriented formulas

Cedarwood: Enhances spirituality

Cypress: Blessing, consecration, and protection. Helps ease loss

MITSURI KANROJI

Perfume: Killian PARIS Love, Don't Be Shy

Notes: orange blossom, vanilla absolute, luscious marshmallow

Sweet like candy, yet warm like a thousand kitten cuddles. This is the perfume Rihanna wears, and honestly, while I wasn't a fan of it on me, I do love the scent!

KYOJURO RENGOKU

Perfume: Replica's By the Fireplace

Notes: clove oil, chestnut accord, vanilla accord Literally smells like a crackling fireplace and marshmallow. I'm so in love with this fragrance, it's on my rotation in the fall (I have a leather jacket collection so mixing this on them in the cold is MAGIC). Of course I see our flame boy smelling like a literal cozy fireplace and GOD I could bury my nose between his tiddies forever.

SHINOBU KOCHO

Perfume: NEST New York's Wisteria Bleu ♔ Glossier You

I know the Wisteria perfume is a bit on the nose, but given our girl's development of the wisteria poison, it just seemed to fit! Plus this scent is just delightful. Key notes: French wisteria, watery notes, Bulgarian rose, imperial jasmine

That said, I can also see Shinobu as the type to gravitate towards skin scents -- especially as a doctor, she doesn't want to overwhelm anyone's senses, so she prefers scents that are more natural. So I also think she'd be a fan of Glossier You

Notes: pink pepper, abrox, iris

SANEMI SHINAZUGAWA

We actually know what Sanemi smells like canonically -- matcha tea and ohagi!

So in that spirit, I'm going with Matcha Meditation by Replica

Notes: Bergamot Essence, Matcha Accord, Moss Accord.

BUT there's another scent that I 1000% believe Sanemi would wear in the modern age, and it's super affordable: Dossier's Ambery Saffron

Top notes: saffron, orange blossom ♔ middle notes: jasmine, plum, cedarwood ♔ base: oakmoss, fir balsam, amber

I bought this for myself and loved it, but on my husband??? I go feral for it. It smells so fucking good on him, and it's an instant panty-dropper for me. And since Sanemi is the one 2D character I would happily bend over for, it fits.

Tom Ford’s Ebene Fume

Notes: Palo Santo smoke, stoked by the warm elegance of cistus absolute, enticing black pepper, and notes of ebony wood, captured in sleek, sublime notes of leather.

Diptyque L’eau Papier or Tam Daisy EDT

L’eau papier notes: White musks, Mimosa, Blonde woods accord, Rice steam accord. I mean, tell me this doesn’t SCREAM our favorite Stone Pillar???? 

Tam Daisy EDT: Sandalwood, cedar, cypress, and myrtle 

Again, Gyomei SCREAMS diptqyue ok. So earthy and refined and quiet luxury

UZUI TENGEN

The flashiest Pillar deserves the flashiest cologne — and by “flashy,” I mean in terms of both scent profile AND price.

Obviously he is a Tom Ford whore. 

Most likely cologne: Tom Ford’s Cherry Smoke. This scent is literally described as “hedonistic” and it’s so correct. 

Notes: Cherry Smoke plays with fire, bursting with the scent of dark cherry, ignited by seductive osmanthus and smoldering, smoked woods.

while we’re at it: Tom Ford’s Fucking Fabulous. I mean, it’s in the name. 

Notes: leather, tonka bean, and sage 

tell me this man isn’t the best-smelling Hashira in the Corps I DARE you 

GIYUU TOMIOKA

Okay I feel like this man smells like CITRUS and he’s absolutely delectable. 

So that said — Oyedo by Diptyque 

Notes: yuzu, green tangerine, thyme, and raspberry  I’m sorry this man smells like earthy fruity citrus and you can’t convince me otherwise. There’s also a hint of the aquatic in there, since he’s, y’know, the Water Pillar. And this scent is DIVINE. 

I also see Giyuu having something with ginger as a major note — so that said, Chanel’s Bleu de Chanel

Notes: Citrus Accord, Labdanum, Sandalwood Cedar

MUICHIRO TOKITO

Baby is 14. He does not know fine scents/perfumes that well.

That said, I think he’s going for something lowkey and likely no-fuss (if he wears a scent at all). He’s going to smell like soap and something fresh and clean. 

So I think the safest bet is Bubble Bath by Replica

Jin Grandet

The big bro, seductive womanizer and alcohol lover definitely smells like seduction and playfulness with a mature vibe. I'm sensing some kind of citrusy freshness along with some spices on top of a woody warm bed.

He's the life of the party. We've all been charmed by him at any point in the series, don't you dare denying it. Yes, he is traumatized, but so are we. He is dazzling and fresh like a summer breeze, sweet and funny like an ice cream.

He is the layering king, not just because his perfume gets mixed with other girls' scents, but because he knows what he is doing. In literally everyone's routes, it's said that our silly boy who just wants to be loved and understood smells like a red flag "late night trysts", but what exactly that smells like?

what designer scents would the jojos wear?

about a year ago now I posted one of my first headcanons, which was the bath and body works scents of the animated jojos. i now give you, the classy, upscale, version of whatever was running through my head then

jonathan joestar - gentleman (1974) by givenchy

top notes: honey, cinnamon, rose, tarragon, bergamot, and lemon

middle notes: patchouli, cedar, orris root, and jasmine

base notes: patchouli, leather, civet, oakmoss, vetiver, musk, amber and vanilla

this scent has an air of elegance to it, while still having a warm and rich feeling. it's a timeless scent that never goes out of style. the recent reformulation has it drying down stronger honey-wise, but that's alright, because like jonathan, its got that sweet side. the leather also gives it the "manly" vibe too. overall, it's cozy, elegant, and the scent of a true gentleman like jonathan.

young joseph joestar - dior sauvage

top notes: calabrian bergamot, pepper

middle notes: sichuan pepper, lavender, pink pepper, vetevier, patchouli, germanium, elemi

base notes: ambroxan, cedar, labdanum

if you know anything about this fragrance, you'll know why it's fitting. to me, it really smells like a muskier axe body spray, but a lot of people really like it and claim it's overhated, and here i am giving it to my favorite joestar. he definitely thinks it makes him smell rich and suave and maybe even elegant (because its dior), but he really smells like most of the other guys his age at the club. caesar absolutely clowns him for it, but he doesn't care. this scent comes on strong, some people dig it, some don't, just like joseph.

old joseph joestar - maison martin margiela "replica" jazz club

top notes: pink pepper, neroli, lemon

middle notes: rum, java vetiver oil, clary sage

base notes: tobacco leaf, vanilla bean, styrax

after many years of sauvage, holly came along and got a nose full of it when joseph picked her up, she called out how strong it was and made her nose itchy, and he needed to switch it up because anything to make his little girl happy! this scent is a bit different, leaning more towards his grandfather's choices in the warm and sweetness, but it still has that bite of pink pepper right at that front, you know it's still the same joseph you know and love. a more mature perfume for a more mature man, but still has an air of fun to it.

jotaro kujo - armani acqua di gio

top notes: lemon, lime, bergamot, jasmine, orange, mandarin orange, neroli

middle notes: "sea notes," calone, jasmine, rosemary, peach, freesia, hyacinth, cyclamen, violet, coriander, rose, nutmeg, mignonette

base notes: musk, cedar, oak moss, patchouli, amber

this applies to all parts y'all! his mommy got it for him as a stocking stuffer for christmas and not once has he ever changed it out. it smells fresh and clean without the overbearing spices, and the warmth of musk and amber balances out the citrus and florals, creating a timeless scent. it's quite popular among men, but jotaro doesn't really care, he likes it. the sea notes also fit well with the marine biology. when he's young, he uses it only for important events, but as he ages (and has more money) he finds himself reaching for it more and more often.

josuke higashikata - terre d'hermès

top notes: orange, grapefruit

middle notes: pepper, pelargonium, flint

base notes: vetiver, cedar, patchouli, benzoin

he's gotta spend that lotto money on something! or dad's money! like his father once did, he wants a scent that makes him seem rich and suave and awesome, however, josuke has a little more fun with it as that initial bite is not with pepper, but a bitter citrus. the spices still just tickle the nose, delivering a balanced, smooth, blend. he may have even taken notes from jotaro's citrus scent as well, who's to say? its got a vintage flair, but it still feels modern, its just an overall unique scent, you're not gonna find anyone else wearing something like this.

giorno giovanna - versace pour homme

top notes: lemon, bergamot, neroli, rose de mai

middle notes: hyacinth, cedar, clary sage, geranium

bottom notes: tonka bean, musk, amber

this versatile and underrated scent i feel gives the perfect scent profile for giorno. it may not be overly extravagant, but understated elegance is precisely what makes it so endlessly enjoyable. it can be worn day or night, dressed up or down, and its versatility makes it great for whatever he may do. i had said in my bath and body works post a while ago he'd reserve designer cologne for occasions, but thinking about it now, this is something he'd wear on the daily.

jolyne kujo - gucci flora gorgeous gardenia

top notes: pear blossom, red berries, italian mandarin

middle notes: gardenia, jasmine, frangipani

bottom notes: brown sugar, patchouli

i had a couple ideas for jolyne, but i ended up picking gucci because i thought of the jojo x gucci collab and felt it was perfect. this scent doesn't overpower, but is still captivating in its own unique way. the sweetness of the top notes combined with the white florals offers a fresh scent always is going to turn heads. jolyne is a creative and smart character and does things in her own way, and quite honestly, i feel like this blend reflects that. not much else to it.

Hazbin Hotel Fragrance Oils Out Now!

Scents inspired by Alastor and Angel Dust. Lucifer and Husk coming soon!

Alastor’s Fragrance:

A sophisticated, dangerous and spicy scent with notes of black pepper, sweet tobacco, labdanum, lily, and bergamot, like being swept off your feet by a disarming smile in a 1920’s parlour. The scent is animalic, cloying notes of oakmoss, musk, and fir, like a walk through the woods on a cold night with a chill running down your spine. It is strange, alluring, and wonderfully unsettling with the soothing sweetness of currant, amber, sandalwood and vanilla woven through.

Angel Dust’s Fragrance:

This fragrance oil smells just as sweet and flirty as Angel Dust from Hazbin Hotel. Its soft florals and intoxicating amber notes float around you like cherry blossom petals falling in the spring. The subtle hint of woodiness, musk, tonka bean and sultry scent of peach, apricot and cherry evoke a deliciously succulent haze you can drape across yourself. It is a rich, plush scent just as decadent and fruity as Angel is himself.

Oh Boy! I'm rubbing my hands together. Here's a few for you.

Dandelion: lots of options, here. Personally, I'd say a classic fougere is a good basis. These are kind of "old fashioned" men's scents with a base of oakmoss combined w hay, lavender, citrus, and occasional spices.

Lots of variation here, so you could probably have one that had topnotes of bergamot with the base of oakmoss and clove for sweetness. I'd personally add smoke or deep wood notes, because... Demon. An actual example of this is DS and Durga's Burning Barbershop, which is pricey but sticks in your brain after you smell it.

Other than that for Mr. Dandelion, I'd say juniper, basalm (piney), bergamot, and other ozonic, sharp scents. Martini-type deal, you know? Maybe it's a daytime/nighttime split.

Fr. Basil: not gonna lie, I googled 1880s men's scents, and most are a lot chiller than what I noted for Dandelion. Lots of water based scents, using floral waters. A big one is lavender, which remains popular today in some men's scents, and orange blossom. Personally, I'd say lavender and wood- simple, classic, masculine but refined. Or, yaknow, church incense does tend to stick to you! (I don't have any specific references for this one, but Alkemia perfumes has a bunch of interesting incense scents)

Lapis: something expensive. Saffron, almond, ambergris. The scent that comes immediately to mind is Baccarat Rouge 540- which is indeed mad expensive. Tons of copycats that smell just as good, though!

Malady: blood. I've never smelled it, but many who smell Inexcusable Evil by Toskovat' say it does straight up just... Smell like that. (Sorry, Malady)

I like the idea of something simple for Basil. Lavender suits him, feels like a scent he would consider comforting. So, yeah, he would probably smell like incense and lavender.

You sound spot on for Lapis, he would love to smell that kind of deluxe, beautiful, and expensive! Though he would more likely to steal it rather than try to buy it lol.
