Dream: Cute sweet boy named Oaf (sp?) Kept changing his appearance (brown rustled hair w green eyes and freckles, then short blonde hair with different face shape and no freckles, then short brown hair with a different face, then back to mussed up brown hair with green eyes and freckles).
Giant farm animal babies, like chicks the size of volley balls.
Stopped to hold the chicks, but one got out of my arms and ran, and I had to go chase it and scoop it up. It was smaller when I got to it.
Went back to do some chores, like washing the dishes. Oaf was a farm boy i think, but also possibly the sorcerer who changed the chicks' size, but maybe the sorcerer's apprentice, but maybe I was the apprentice , but idk. I woke up

I full on cackled when I saw this one. We all know that OAF Fictional!Matty has his beloved Shark Plushie and she has a very important spot in the bed. Fictional!George kind of just... uses Fictional!Matty as a stuffed animal? He snuggles with Fictional!Matty and Fictional!Matty snuggles Shark Plushie.... one time Fictional!George had to do some traveling WITHOUT Fictional!Matty for his new label... and he may or may not have bought himself his own Shark Plushie at an airport giftstore that he then brings out on nights when he and Fictional!Matty are apart... Fictional!Matty can NEVER find out.

thinking again about how much trust he had to have in Laios to recommend his own daughter in case he dies
#dungeon meshi#dungeon meshi spoilers#chilaios#WHATEVRR#like#We see from his little nightmare snippet that his greatest fear is losing his kids#And we also know how much trauma he has around the dungeons and specifically other adventurers#How he basically lives in fight or flight mode and is constantly thinking of the worst case scenario#How unwilling he is to trust anyone or show vulnerability to anyone#And he recommended his daughter to Laios#Bc even though his years of knowing Laios means he sees him as reckless and oaf-like and maybe insane#His years of knowing Laios also mean he knows hes a good person who he can trust#And who he (secretly) genuinely cares about and sees as a close friend#So much so that he’d trust him with the lives of his kids#Though simultaneously i dont think he’d ever allow him to hold a baby

that one person who got disproportionately angry about this line was funny but it was also just personally baffling to me because i never would have thought to read that last part as “sorry, i guess you aren’t smart or sensitive enough to appreciate a sunbeam,” it was pretty obviously to me it was more like “sorry, that probably sounds silly or dumb to you”
Elliott actually has a lot of dialogue where he apologizes like this? for being “weird?”
it’s actually a bit of characterization i like a lot. he speaks very little about his life before he moved to Pelican Town but with these “sorry if i’m being a downer haha, sorry if that sounded weird haha” lines it paints a pretty strong picture of why he moved
