Anyway, Happy birthday to my actual favourite character, Komui! You'd never guess because I only seem to post about Kanda but I'm telling the truth, I SWEAR! I have very strict rules on who can be my favourite characters and it's not KANDA! Kanda doesn't fit the rules!!!

How about part 4 to bakugos brother. The plot has thicken. 🙃🫰🏼
Title: bakugos brother
Fandom: bnha
Characters: bnha ensemble
Fic type: series
Chapter: 4
Pairings: kirishima x male reader
Warnings: male reader, reader insert, angst, reader is awkward, broken sibling relationship, reader is siblings to Katsuki, hurt to comfort, neglectful parents
Notes:
🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
(Name) And Kirishima went upstairs as Aizawa sat in the livingroom with the Bakugo parents, (name) looking surprisingly nervous as he went to his room.
"Whatever he did we will pay for" Mrs. Bakugo started and Aizawa raised his hand to stop her "I'm actually here on behalf of U.A to extend an invitation for your son to attend the general studies program as we have recently opened a spot in that class post sports festival" Aizawa began and watched their reactions carefully, Mr. Bakugo seemed curious and a bit excited at the concept of his son having the experience but Mrs Bakugo seemed... Less thrilled "would that affect Katsuki?" She asked simply and Aizawa raised an eyebrow at her statement.
"The two would be in completely different programs, how on earth would that affect Katsuki?" Mr Bakugo said simply and the blond woman glared without any bite at her husband "Principal Nedzu is particularly interested in his intelligence quirk and would like to talk about it when we do the transfer if you are willing to agree"
And the color drained from their faces.
(Name) And Kirishima cuddled on (name)s beanbag chair, a massive thing that was (name)s first purchase as (name) watched kirishima play a phone game "so you're just building and adventuring?" (Name) Seemed intrigued but also deeply confused at the game "yeah, it's a sandbox game-- you can do basically anything"
"Are there animals?"
"Oh a bunch, they actually just updated the dogs so they have more variety"
"Show me"
"And how would he be able to afford it?" Mrs Bakugo said coldly and Aizawa resisted the urge to roll his eyes "U.A has offered (name) a full scholarship" Mr Bakugo seemed excited at this "really?!" The man seemed over the moon at this but his wife less thrilled "I told you to let him apply!" He said almost angrily and Aizawa looked between them "but the chances of katsu--"" you need one parents approval right?" He cut her off to look at Aizawa who nodded "then you have my approval"
"Masaru!" Mrs Bakugo said angrily and the man looked at her seriously "if we don't do this for our son, we will fail more than we already have"
"Kirishima, time to go" Aizawa said simply and looked at (name) "I expect to see you at U.A Monday with your things packed" the pro said and it took the teens a second to process it all before kirishima grinned at his boyfriend "Yo! We get to hang out all the time now!"
"I get to go?"
"Yup, now better pack, you got a week before you start, Nedzu wants a meeting first thing tomorrow"
"YOU GUYS ARENT GONNA BELEIVE THIS!" Kirishima shouted as he walked into the livingroom area and the others looked confused "my boyfriend got into U.A!" He boasted and Bakugo turned to look at his best friend confused "what." Bakugo said flatly and Kirishima grinned "yeah man! Your brother's gonna be in gen Ed!" Everyone looked at bakugos reaction curiously as many emotions passed his face before just grunting and turning back to his phone.
(Name)s week at home was tense with his mom but his dad always had his back, always making sure he was cared for and the parent who made an effort, he was (name)s rock.
"Just don't get in your brother's way"
Words he heard constantly up until his dad drove him to U.A, giving him an envelope with money "I'll be sending you weekly allowances... I know you have money of your own but that's your money, this is for any emergency things you need" he said softly and (name) took the envelope quietly "I'm sorry that I haven't been enough for you, I know I could do more"
"Mom's a hard person, I know you feel guilt but I know that she doesn't make it easy and you have been there when it counts and stuck up for me so I could be here... I love you dad"
"I love you too kid, now go be stronger than I am"
The two embraced before the man helped (name) get everything into his dorm, kirishima showing up to help "so you're the boy my son's seeing! A pleasure to meet you" (name) smiled as the two greeted and got along very well "yeah! I'm also bakubros best friend!" He said excitedly and Mr. Bakugo had a small sliver of hope that this young man could bridge the two siblings... It was wishful thinking but he always had hope.
Hope that somehow the relationship his wife ruined would be fixed.
(Name) Didn't sleep well the first night, awkward in the new environment and the sudden shift from what he was used to.
Tomorrow he would get an introduction course under Nedzu, the rat wanted to do some tests to truly know what level he was at to gauge where they should move towards education wise.
Things were awkward during lunch as (name) sat alone, everyone hearing about Nedzu's private student and avoided him as such but (name) just played chess on his little travel chess set in the corner, periodically eating his food.
He had an hour to kill, might as well look for any weaknesses in his plays.
"There you are!" (Name) Looked up to see his boyfriend and other 1A students who looked curiously "Aizawa said we got to have lunch at the same time!" The Bakugo siblings locked eyes and (name) offered a seat to his boyfriend who plopped beside him with a grin "so you play chess, what's that like?" The pink girl named Mina asked excitedly and (name) was shy as he responded "a lot of travelling, I been throughout Japan for openings" he said softly "how many have you won?" A blond boy named denki asked and (name) looked a little more confident "I haven't lost, so maybe 50, I have been playing professionally since I was 9"
"Whoa... What do you get if you win?" He asked and (name) thought "the U.A open won me about 100k... But that was the open to let me qualify to international opens but my dad worries I might be too young for that" he said simply and the others looked shocked at the price and did the math "damn you're rich"
Katsuki didn't know this, how many games his brother went to between school and such or how good he was at it, he didn't think about it much but now...
... He kind of felt envious that his best friend knew more about his brother than he did.
The bakusquad asked all sorts of questions throughout lunch and eventually a few more 1A students joined and Momo even planned a chess match between her and (name) for fun.
And for the first time, Katsuki saw his brother look genuinely happy talking to people, typically he didn't talk to people.
It was nice to see.

The Great BNHA Review: The Finale
So in the end... where does this leave us?
A society that really hasn't changed that much, Izuku was alone once again because his hero friends are too busy, and it ends with Izuku being handed a suit to fight alongside them... Reinforcing the fact that Izuku couldn't be a hero on his own without someone handing him something to make him a hero.
What a lackluster and rather bleak ending when you think about it. Because they still have the ranking system so it's once again enticing heroes to compete in a popularity contest to be known, which is why Bakugou is doing poorly and Aizawa admitting that he didn't do shit to curve this behavior.
(Points at Aizawa) Teacher of the Year everyone 🙄
So with the story now completed, what I hope to eventually happen in a few years is for people to truly see the series for what it is. A poorly written story where the main character never grows, the worst anime character hogging all the attention away from things that should be important, and contains harmful messages for preteens-teens if we were to take this at face value.
So let me ask this: Was this story worth telling?
I'm only asking because since it's known that Hori just got tired and wanted to be done and over BNHA as soon as he could. Which I know WOULDN'T have happened if he just pulled a Yana Toboso and just put the manga on hold to truly figure out what he wants to do instead of working on it continuously with only a handful of one week breaks.
His story couldn't explore the themes it established, and what it DID covered, was handled poorly.
And if you want a piece of media that explores what BNHA tried to do, here're some of my recommendations .
The main character being the odd one out? The Owl House.
Family Issues? Gravity Falls.
Discussions on justice and the grey area of good and evil? Death Note.
Hell, Glitch Productions does a better job at developing the romances of their characters than this anime series did in it's entirety!
And trauma being handled in a tasteful manner?
youtube
But back to the topic!
The thing is why couldn't we explore these themes and topics that was promised to us? Was anyone REALLY asking for Endeavor to make amends with his family? Did anyone RELLY think that Endeavor's redemption was worth screwing over the Todoroki family members?
This series just wants to have it's cake and eat it too! We want to have cool fight scenes and root for the heroes to win, but we would also want to explore the world they live in and how it functions. And since considering the badly handled topics of the story and the characters themselves are as interesting as caricatures of the tropes they embody to where there's no depth or complexity.
Then you just have a story that GOES NOWHERE!
How much of Hero Society has really changed at the end? It only beckons for the same events that happened throughout the series to happen again! And the people who were horrible, I.E Bakugou and Endeavor, get they want without consequences! None of the major characters go through significant development so it makes it hard to see that they've grown at the end!
So overall, BNHA is an Anime Series that crashed and burned. Something that I hope more people will start to recognize and call it out for both the mistakes of the series and Kohei Horikoshi.
And with that, my career of criticizing BNHA has come to an end. Thank you all for liking my rants and posts, and I truly do hope you'll keep following me for whatever's in store.
So now that's done, I can finally move on to something actually good...

Hi,
I see you finished Monster and are quite versed in Johan. Can you help me understand the depth of his character better? I feel like many people miss the point of it. Also I'd like to know why you like him so much.
Oh, there is so much to say about him but i will try to make it short as possible.
Lets Talk About Johan;
Tumblr media
First of all, i heard his character as some 'evil' mastermind so i wasnt really interested in his character until i experience the story by myself. I wondered why this series is popular so i decided to give a chance. I tought Johan was like Afo (from Bnha) but he turn out to be a lot like Shigaraki lol.
What makes a character depth is if they are not one-dimensional, that there is a more than how they seem from surface. And Johan fits well since he is mysterious character who is seen as angel, monster, devil, basically anything but human but they end up failing to understand him because if he was so simple, police would've catch him a long time ago.
At the start of series, he seems like your usual dangerous serial killer which fits the psychological thriller theme of story. And one of the best thing in series is his connection with Tenma. A doctor saves his life and this dangerous killer starts to view him as parent figure. A killer who see no worth in life and the doctor who thinks every life is equal, especially saving Johan is the reason he starts to to be able to live his life as a real doctor. Only to learn the child whom he saved turn out to be serial killer.
Tenma feels responsible for this and goes to journey to kill Johan. During this journey, we aldo discover some hints of what made Johan the way he is. The irony is we get the hints and a lot of characters perspective of him, everyone except Johan.
Tumblr media
Is his messages about 'the monster inside of him' serious or not? Tenma assumes Johan is enjoying this at first, then he assumes Johan has multiple personality disorder. And later when he talked with other doctor, he assumes Johan is just playing with him because thats what most serial killers do with police. This is interesting because all of those end up being wrong. Johan doesnt enjoy from killing people. Johan doesnt have DID. Johan didnt write those messages to play with them. We know this because we later learn that he is unconciously imitate the fairytale stories he read as child.
Meanwhile, he has fanclub. A lot of murderers admire Johan because they view him as destruction Buddha. Just like others, he is seen as monster but why though? Its not like he is the only killer in the world. And personally, a lot of characters are more 'evil' than him so the thing about Johan is; he treats human life as nothing. Not just other people but also himself. Thats what makes him so scary to everyone. He doesnt even do it out of joy, money, statue. He looks like the devil in human form. He spreads misery to world. (Thats why he burns library when they said "its humanity's treasure" LoL.)
To people, that is scary. When they look at Johan, his eyes, the see someone who has no identity (nameless world). They see someone who treats life like as a game. Which explains why many people are afraid of him.
Some also want to use him, such as they want him to make second Hitler and he is like 'Nope'.
Tumblr media
I think the main reason i love Johan is that he is like a magician. He can create a beautifull illusion. He is someone who can touch people's hearths because how well he understands them. Which is why he is seen as angel when people dont know he kills people.
This is also why he can use other killers for himself. He can see their vulnerabilities. Because even a killer is still human and they might need acceptance, to be understood by someone. Johan can give it to them. And they wish they were like Johan because they think everything would be a lot easier for them to kill others, like some kind of edgy teens. They fail to understand the person they want to be is extremely miserable.
On other hand, Johan can use his skills with curing people. Such as him waking Suk's mother, he made her remember her son again. Though he does things with ulterior motives, same skills can be used for good things. He can make people happy or miserable by little things. With a little magic or just skill.
And even though he is villain, he has very relaxing voice. He is very elegant. He listens other people. This fits perfectly well with his manipulative character.
We also never know when he is sincere or not because when you think he doesnt he actually seem to care, such as when he cried for Karl. Apperantly, tears were real. He is always in his world, its so funny when you think about he is some kind of mastermind.
Tumblr media
Also his interaction with kids is so interesting. I think he geniuely enjoys being around them. Otherwise, why would he bother to spend time with them, why would he know so much about child's rights, why would he look for picture book for a friend? This is the same guy who encourage kids to rooftop game (and the scene where he was projecting on Milos) which is messed up. It gives me chills. His nihisilism, him viewing life as game end up resulting him expressing love as twisted.
----
Tumblr media
Later, everything changes when Johan finds certain book in library. Basically, Johan's character doesnt necessarely stay same during the series. He changes his motives from unconciously imitating nameless monster stories to find actual monster who ruined his life. Even though he does messed up things, everything about his character makes sense with that scene. Johan geniuely believed that he is nameless monster. Johan geniuely believed that he doesnt exist.
Everything about him makes sense because it explains why he doesnt think death as much of it. Because if someone doesnt exist, they cant be killed. If someone doesnt exist, they cant be responsible for killings. He is detached from reality. Its not that he didnt feel. Its that he doesnt view it as real the way other people does. Because Johan isnt there. This is the tragedy of Johan's story. He doesnt have name. He doesnt have identity. He feels as he doesnt exist.
Tumblr media
The famous 'monster' tape everyone after is about a child unable to see the difference between fairytale story and reality. 'My name is Johan. My name is Thomas. My name is Hans. My name is Otto.' He is them but he is neither of them. Johan views Anna as his half, as Anna is the real one and he is fake copy. He killed people as child, not because he is evil but because he geniuely thought that monster is coming after them. He cant even separate his own memories from Anna's. He takes all bad memories both to protect Anna and other reason is to become someone. He wanted to have identity, he wanted to live so bad but he didnt have on his own so he took it from others, just like the nameless monster.
This is also why Johan is also affected by Tenma's saving him. He probably wondered Tenma wouldnt save him, if he knew he was monster. He was kinda right because Tenma regretted his decision but he was wrong because Tenma couldnt shoot him and he saved him the second time. He showed him that he has right to live, he has right to exist, and that he has a name so he is not monster. This is why Johan can open up his worst insecurities. And they really give father-son energy and i think thats cute. I am glad that even after years Tenma visists him at hospital.
Tumblr media
And we can guess what happened at the end thanks to Grimmer (one of the characters who deserves better), 'The monster become human at the end'. and Lunge said that if he were not a human being, he would not leave a trace, only humans leave a trace. For the first time we see Johan leave his mark. So Johan is no longer a monster, just a human. Also, his real name doesnt matter, he is Johan to us/all.
I love the messages of story. There is a monster inside all of us, but we can contain/heal it and after all, we are all human, our lives are equally valuable and stealing a person's name is the biggest crime, so having a name is very important. Story still has certain writing issues but generally, it is good story. Johan is well written character because his story is such a journey. We cant even really appreaciate the story without fully understand Johan. Every scene he is in meaningfull. And personally, i think his story is very empathic because of how tragic he is. Also sometimes he looks so funny and weird which makes him entertaining. He is such a good character.
Though you are right, anon. Many people still misinterpret the story, especially his character but anyway, there are still people who makes great analysis about him. Such as this analysis made by @cyanogoth.
Its ironic that most/some main villains have the most interesting and sempathic backstories, even though they are supposed to be 'big evil' or something but in reality, they are not really.
Tumblr media
Anyway, he is fun to think about, i love him, lol.

Important PSA:
Warnings: Anon blogs versus other RP drama, 🎭 skip if you want to. Read if you want to know what is my final course of action about it
I feel like it’s about time I had to make a post, I hate typing a lot (I hate it lmfaooo especially when it’s not a fic or a RP plot I’m dangerously excited about) 😮‍💨 but two months ago shit happened. I get it. The “Anon” thing started from me, a bored Covid struck Itachi simp who just created Itachi-anon for funsies. I had seen roleplaying in other fandoms (BNHA) and that’s how I decided to create Itachi anon. I just wanted to embody the character I loved with all my heart. Asks/RP plots, everything is a part & parcel of this. Sasukeanon joined in, (from the very beginning) annoying Itachi as his little brother. They made the blog just for my Itachi, and I was the one who nudged them to make it an Anon blog. (Others joined and yada yada).
The purpose was to have fun and to RP. It’s been four years since I’ve been on Tumblr where I’ve deleted this blog multiple times because I was sick of the mundane toxicity this fandom as a whole invests in. I thought it was a Covid thingy, hey? Everyone gets bored & gets frustrated, y’know? Clearly not. With the whole feud that happened between various blogs and the Anon blogs, it was pretty clear people had things which they shouldn’t give that much importance to, given drastically astronomical importance. Who gives a shit ffs? 🤦🏻‍♀️ These characters aren’t real, we have real lives (most of us) outside this platform. I couldn’t care less about what happened, and I don’t care about what’s happening right now.
Now, you’d say if you don’t give a shit, Itachi-Mod, why did you get involved. See? I don’t give a shit about this stuff, but — I do give a shit about people I call my friends, people I consider close, people who know a tad bit more about me other than the fact that I go by Ena (Online name) and I moderate this blog. Even if in the near future, if someone comes for my friends, I will defend them unperturbed and uncaring of how it makes me look like. Cus I couldn’t care less what a bunch of unknown strangers think about me over my friends. 🤷🏻‍♀️
That being said, I don’t want to be a part of the whole “fixing things” or, “X apologizing to Y, Y apologizing to Z.” Because I’ve burnt the book long ago. If it were Sasukeanon and I, (who have fought in the past before mind you). I would be interested in doing whatever it takes to make things right. If it’s someone who I didn’t even know well, I would MUCH MUCH MUCH rather protect my peace that’s already fucked by my Corporate job.
In conclusion, don’t talk to me about this anymore. Choose your sides, us or them. Or both. I couldn’t really care neither will I make anyone choose like an insecure teen. If you want to RP with my version of Itachi, let’s go! 💓 If not, that’s okay, there are other, lesser canon (sarcastic) versions of him out there. 😛
Peace out! ✌️ if you’ve read this much imagine me giving you a bear hug 🤗 and loads of kissies xx because holy shidddd I wouldn’t read this much ngl (Maybe I have ADHD) 😔😭

Note
hear me out…. todobaku as villains???
im going to disappoint you anon bc i am not a like... dark & twisted fantasy villain au person. as per quidfree canon what keeps me going is good characterisation and so you will find no undercut tattoo-laden bad boys here.
if you want my two cents on what todobaku villain au would most likely look like though it's under the cut
todoroki:
this one is easy right? touya exists. shouto already has his villain backstory: his dad is a bigshot hero uplifted by society and also an abusive bastard in private. his motivations in hero-oriented society are obvious.
i think shouto probably distinguishes himself from touya in a number of ways, one of which being style of villainy. touya was a lot more unstable emotionally (?tied to his quirk self-harm stuff) and undiscerning in his resentment (see: woman hater) even before he ran away. i think shouto would be a more classic anti-hero type villain, less quick to cause chaos and death to unrelated civilians or high schoolers. they would have an uneasy relationship if and when shouto figured out who dabi was- i think he would retain his empathy for his siblings and mother, but he would disagree with touya’s choices.
i see him as a loner villain, not likely to join the league. early UA shouto appeared to have literally never spoken to another person in ten years, so if he around that age veered off the expected path and went MIA, i think the whole ice prince thing would solidify pretty definitely. and that’s the kind of personality he’d have too- icy, controlled superiority over a core of red-hot rage. no quips here. though some dramatics. he hides it but shouto always has flair.
shouto is a practical guy first and foremost. i think he’d just wear something similar to his plumber fit. maybe something akin to a balaklava to mask his identity, but maybe not, if he wants to make his father aware of his actions. i do think touya-style he might go for a hairdye, but in his case it’d probably be bleach, as a sort of obvious reclaiming of rei’s heritage and rejection of enji’s.
overall as villains go if we are keeping to a world close to canon shouto is probably one of the more morally upright people you will encounter. very scary motherfucker but pretty targeted enemies, so unless you’re involved in maintaining the hero justice system at some pivotal level you’re probably safe. if you are though? rip i guess. prepare to have your home frozen, your limbs stuck to the ground, and an icepick summarily driven through your skull by a teenager.
bakugou
katsuki is tough because for him it very much depends on setting, and at a basic level when you’re looking at. katsuki fundamentally is not a fuck the system guy- he’s a guy the system loves, and he’s interested in winning it, not destroying it, at least until character development kicks his ass. so really if you want to go early canon for both of them, villain bakugou is just hero bakugou. a katsuki from the start of bnha left to continue on his presumed arc uninterrupted, no deku or kidnapping or war to force him to question himself. arrogant and cruel and uncaring of what heroism is meant to be about. saving big numbers, sure, or at least defeating big ones, but when your defeats involve death or as good as, hard to draw the line.
similarly, in a universe where for some reason heroes have lost their relevance and villains reign, teen katsuki would have very easily risen in that direction, with similar traits.
who would his targets be? whoever’s in his way, pretty much. even in a more anti-hero slant, villain’s goons would not be safe. and anyone who tried to recruit / hire / ally him would inevitably face some kind of betrayal bc katsuki simply got sick of orders and believes he can handle the fall-out.
in terms of looks, katsuki is more style conscious than shouto is, but as lord explosion murder doesn’t necessarily look very heroic i think he wouldn’t look that different. maybe more of the black and winter-suit vibes.
for as insufferable as he would be, he would also be horrifying, yes. i mean, the guy is a starter kit terrorist. even if he was in tantrum ego mode he could level a street. collateral would be nasty if katsuki didn’t care to contain himself.
todobaku villain interaction ???
if we’re going with the above sort of setting? would not stand each other. for bakugou it’s obvious stuff (think sports fest and general canon), but todoroki genuinely would not tolerate villain bakugou at all, given the obvious alarm bells of similarity to endeavor. it’s not his focus but if bakugou died he would not be displeased.
as in any universe they could be begrudgingly forced into cooperation and then be privately disgusted by how well they worked together after the initial predictable faux pas. all of their other villain colleagues are like “can’t we just call that guy in for an assist again” and theyre like *breathing exercises* no.
they are both despite appearances and villainy-amplified dramatics fairly pragmatic so theyd probably not actively seek to cross each other unless they seemed to be getting in the way of their respective goals. they can recognise that this would be getting into it w an unnecessarily big distraction/threat. but i can imagine the “keep out of this” warnings would be fairly inventive. todoroki negligently thwarts one of bakugou’s plots and bakugou turns his entire hideout to rubble. a bunch of todoroki’s contacts are collateral during one of bakugou’s attacks and bakugou wakes up to find all of his security died of hypothermia overnight. lest we forget they both have petty streaks.
hero x villain interaction would be. very funny and very bad. hero todoroki would be So Tired of villain bakugou bc of how frustrating it is that hes actually hard to stop and villain bakugou in turn would resent him immensely. hero bakugou dealing w villain todoroki? that would be (psychologically bizarre) fun. i think for some reason that would be the closest we get to a bakugou w ‘doodling hearts against their own volition’ crush energy. but theyd get along a lot better than the reverse, mainly bc hero bakugou is like a decent person and villain todoroki respects moral integrity. in both duos in a lighter setting the villain of the two might start getting a mild kick out of messing w the hero despite their focus on other things just bc 1) it gives villain todoroki the mildest of entertainment to look forward to every blue moon given he doesn’t necessarily wish bakugou any active harm 2) villain bakugou feels he’s owed some todoroki suffering considering how annoying he personally finds him.
that’s my two cents on it anyways. idk what everyone else has in mind!

Ochako and Toga having a proper resolution of their conflict is soooooo important to me.
For a while I feared bnha would forget about its female cast, relegating them to function as backup for the main male characters and nothing more. I didn't want Toga to become a footnote of the Todorokis story arc, to have all her relevance unevenly tied to Twice and not have her own meaning, for her her story to be forgotten and she to only function as a an object of the narrative and not a proper subject.
For a while I feared Ochako would be just the cute romantic interest/cheerleader type of main heroine. I didn't want Ochako to be the "here there's girl representation (for a panel)" type of female character. I didn't want to only be Deku's support. To stay behind. For her backstory to be a quick introduction with no progress through the manga or real impact on the story.
Yet Toga was not given less relevance than any other member of the League of Villains. Her arc was not put aside in favor of Touya or Tomura's arcs. Toga was allowed the same presence as them, and there're entire panels and chapters dedicated to her. To her fight with Ochako. To her struggle, her vision of the world, her personality, her feelings, her ideas and wishes and dreams. She was not another fanservice cute psycho teen dressed as a school girl. She was not superficial or without reason behind. She felt like her own person and was treated as such.
Ochako too is way more than the girl Deku has a crush on / the girl who always save him! She's instrumental to the rebuild of the hero society, of a better future with less mistakes where heroes look beyond the labels of good and evil, preoccupied with saving as many victims as possible not only physically, but paying attention to the pathological part too. Ochako has her own agency as a pro-hero, she has her own philosophy, her own goals and motivations. There were very important things only she could do, moments where she was the leader while the rest supported her, points in time when she was allowed to shine and speak for herself and her friends.
I soooo wanted this for them, 'cause it meant a lot for the female cast of bnha. Tsuyu was a big part of their conflict and she was allowed to have her own participation. Curious was a huge part of Toga's arc and she was allowed to hold relevance on Toga's progress through the story. It's nice to see that these amazing characters are given the same dedication as their peers, the same as Touya and Shouto's arc, the same as Deku and Tomura's arc.

𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐎𝐋𝐄𝐓 𝐩𝐭. 𝟏
A descendant of a legendary quirk longs to separate herself from her family name, but first she'll have to confront villains, ghosts from the past, and her growing attraction for Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight.
Pairing: Katsuki Bakugou x OP!fem!oc
Warnings: swearing
In the MHA/BNHA canon, there are already characters named Twice, Momo, and Mina, and all of them are Japanese. As a Kpop fan, I felt compelled to add a Sana to complete the set
series masterlist + my masterlist
The first recorded quirk was of a baby in Qing Qing City who could radiate light from her body. That baby later grew up to have a family, who started their own and so on and so forth. The cycle repeated itself again and again, with each new generation engaging in quirk marriages specifically designed to strengthen the original power passed down to them so many years ago.
The last coupling of a descendant, Yoichi Sakano, and a woman named Suzume Takahashi had produced the strongest quirk user yeta daughter named Sana.
And so, our story begins.
Today officially marks the beginning of the rest of my life.
For the next three years, Sana Sakano would be attending the prestigious U.A High, the highest ranked heroics school in the country. After finishing in the top 5 of the recommendations exam, Sana knew firsthand how steep the competition would be. It wouldn't be an easy climb to the top, that was for sure, especially when she knew she'd have to face off against ridiculously talented people like Shoto Todoroki.
The two teens had known each other since they were toddlers, having first met after receiving their quirks. Enji Todoroki had wanted someone to push his masterpiece to his limits and force Shoto to work harder. Of course, Sana's father had no problems offering his daughter as a training partner for the son of the Number Two Hero. Endeavor had initially introduced Sana to the half-and-half boy as "a necessary obstacle to overcome if he were to surpass All Might in the future." But the head of the Todoroki family hadn't anticipated for the human punching bag he'd gifted his creation to strike back as hard as she did.
That first training session had ultimately ended in Sana's loss, but she'd put up one hell of a fight.
At first, the two children couldn't stand the sight of the other. Their fathers weren't arranging play dates like normal parents; no, whenever the two kids were together, it meant pain was coming. They'd been pitted against each other from the start. Not having a chance to properly introduce themselves led to a lot of misunderstandings during their first year of training. But as time passed and they grew to acknowledge and appreciate the other as a person, the rivalry eventually evolved into an unlikely friendship.
Sana checked her phone for any notifications, only to be disappointed that there was nothing from the candy cane-haired male she'd once called her best friend. Something between them had changed, and the peach-haired girl wasn't sure how to make things right again. It all started a few months ago, with Endeavor canceling their training sessions indefinitely. Since then, Shoto had been more reserved than usual, growing more and more distant. It was like the closer they got to attending U.A, the more he seemed to pull away and withdraw into himself.
Now, Shoto had never been a warm and fuzzy person to begin with. It just wasn't his nature. But there were times that he'd lowered his guard enough to allow Sana to see beyond the ice prince persona he'd built over the years.
Apart from Rei, Sana was probably the only person that knew who Shoto Todoroki really was. They'd grown up together. She'd been by his side during his lowest moments and vice versa. Sana knew all of his weaknesses just as he knew her's. She'd seen the kindness Shoto kept tucked away behind a wall of ice, the quiet passion that burned within his chest. A fire that hadn't been lit by Shoto's father, but in an ironic twist, his mother. A roaring flame that fueled his desire to do good, to be a better man than the poor example he'd been made to follow.
But now there was a chasm separating the two childhood friends. A gaping wound that neither knew how—or on his part, willing—to repair.
Months had passed since Shoto had last spoken to her. Without their weekly training sessions, Sana had been forced to prepare for U.A's recommendation exam alone. She'd seen the dual-haired male in passing during the tests, but he'd coldly brushed her off every time she'd tried to approach him or offer words of encouragement.
"Great. My first day of high school and I have no friends." Sana pouted, brushing imaginary wrinkles out of her teal skirt as she worried over her reflection one last time. She chose to leave her hair down, but packed a ribbon just in case she needed to tie it back later. This should be fun. She scooped up her backpack on her way downstairs, tossing a strap over her shoulder.
At the head of the dining table reading the newspaper was her father. As expected, his pale salmon hair was styled perfectly with a few gray hairs lining his temples. The full plate of food in front of him sat untouched. The light streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows cast a glare on his rectangular frames, making his expression unreadable. Sana took a deep breath before taking her seat at the table. Yoichi spared her a glance, clearing his throat to get her attention.
"So, today's the day, huh." It was a statement, not a question.
"Yes, sir." Sana answered, avoiding his icy blue eyes and picking at her breakfast. Chocolate chip and banana pancakes, her favorite growing up. They were even arranged into a happy face on her plate. Umi, the head maid of the house, obviously wanted to celebrate the joyous occasion.
"My little firefly is going to be a hero!" She'd told anyone who would listen for the past month. Umi's endless love for a child that wasn't her's to care for had always taken Sana by surprise. Maybe because she wasn't accustomed to openly receiving affection.
Not anymore, that is.
"Kids these days have such foolish aspirations, don't you think?" He scoffed, picking up where he'd left off reading. "Heroes," he said with a condescending laugh, a finger to his lips. "People parading around in ridiculous costumes, calling each other childish names." His hand fell, revealing an empty, practiced smile; the only one she'd ever seen him wear, even in rare family photos or during his numerous appearances on TV.
"They're only trying to make themselves feel more important than they actually are."
Just like you, she wanted to say. Sana swallowed her anger, her knuckles turning white as she tightened her grip on her silverware before forcing herself to relax.
"They're tacky and distasteful, yet you insist on ruining my reputation by chasing a pipe dream." Yoichi lectured, shaking his head in shame. "I thought I'd raised you better. But if setting yourself up for failure is the only way for you to accept your place in this world, then so be it." Sana lowered her head and pushed her chair away from the table to stand. His sharp gaze followed her retreating figure. "Leaving already?" He gestured towards her abandoned plate. "You've hardly touched your meal."
Sana paused in the archway leading from the dining room to the entranceway. Moments like these made her miss when she was younger, before she got her quirk. The times when it seemed like her mother's love-filled treats could take away any and all pain; from scraped knees and mild bruises to crushed spirits and emotional scars left in the wake of her father's "motivational" speeches.
Unfortunately, Umi's recipe didn't have the same effects. The once sweet meal had turned to ash on her tongue the moment her father had opened his mouth.
"I lost my appetite."
¸☾⋆*・゚¸☾⋆*・゚¸☾⋆*
Rather than taking one of the town cars like her father had suggested on her way out, Sana chose to make the twenty minute trip to U.A High on foot. It was purely out of spite, but she refused to think about that man any longer. She wouldn't let him ruin what was, so far, the most important day of her existence.
Her skin tingled pleasantly as she soaked in the warm ultraviolet rays in the atmosphere. She could already feel her energy levels replenishing what little she'd lost getting ready. Sana couldn't help but let her mind wander during her peaceful morning walk. She honestly wasn't sure what to expect for the day. No doubt a nationally ranked school like U.A would be different from her past schools. Surely they wouldn't have students attend something as normal as orientation when they could be doing something far more productive. That would be the most rational option, right?
But what would they have us do instead? Sana tapped her chin thoughtfully. Are we expected to start training as soon as the first bell rings?
Up ahead, the front gates of U.A could be seen, the H shaped building piercing the sky. Kids her age and older were hanging around the courtyard, exploring the enormous campus and getting to know each other. Sana passed them all quickly, wanting to reach her classroom and make at least one friend before classes began. She'd need someone to sit with at lunch, since she doubted Shoto could be bothered to do so.
After wandering the halls for a few minutes, the girl finally found the correct door. Class 1-A had a rather large entrance, though she figured it was necessary since the school was expected to provide access for all types of quirks and mutations.
Sliding the door open, Sana was immediately greeted with a few polite hellos that she happily returned. Picking out her desk, she placed her bag in the seat and turned to observe the people around her. Only a small portion of the class had arrived so far. It'd be another fifteen or so minutes before classes began, which gave Sana plenty of time to get to know her peers. In the next row sat a girl with an edgy haircut.
First target acquired.
The girl, Jirou, was a little shy at first, but she opened up more once the topic of music came up. Both Tokoyami and Shoji were men of very few words, so Sana ended up doing most of the talking. Not that she minded, of course. She was used to carrying conversations after spending most of her life with such a stoic boy like Todoroki.
Momo and Iida automatically stuck out as private school types, with their unnaturally straight posture and overly polite mannerisms. Iida, being the more enthusiastic of the two, had energetically greeted the peach-haired girl and shared his hopes for the school year all while performing stiff, robotic movements with his arms. Momo had been more reserved, but just as warm and welcoming as the blue-haired boy.
Sana remembered seeing the girl's spiky ponytail at the recommendation exams.
Mina Ashido, an excitable B-girl with rosy skin, bubblegum curls, and black sclera quickly wormed her way into Sana's heart. The two formed an instant sisterhood after discovering their shared love of fashion, dance, and raspberry flavored lipgloss. Mina, being the social butterfly that she is, took it upon herself to introduce Sana to a former classmate of her's named Eijiro Kirishima. With his scarlet spikes and sunny smile, Kirishima had caught everyone's attention as soon as he'd stepped foot in the room.
Standing beside him was a derpy blonde with a black lighting bolt streaking through his hair. The blonde's eyes lit up after landing on Sana. When he'd noticed the two girls approaching them, he'd nearly short circuited. "Jeez," he rubbed a hand behind his neck, his cheeks glowing in embarrassment. "You're so beautiful I forgot my pickup line."
"Well, you're not so bad yourself, uh...?"
"The name's Denki Kaminari," he held a thumb to his chest proudly. "But you can call me yours." Both girls laughed at the cheesy pick up lines he continued to fire at the peach-haired girl, Sana found the hopeless flirt to be charming in a goofy kind of way. Kirishima, of course, was a precious bean, with his shy, sharktooth smile and obsessive use of the word "manly."
That's it, Sana thought as Mina told the group embarrassing stories from their middle school days, making Kirishima's face burn as red as his freshly-dyed hair. I'm officially adopting him as my child.
Overall, she had a good feeling about Class 1-A... well, except for a pervert named Mineta. Already, he'd tried to peek up the girls' skirts. Sana had knocked the little germ clear across the room before he could try anything else, much to Iida's horror. "Next time he tries something like that, I'll blind him," she'd threatened, tuning out the bluenette's long lecture about respect and classroom etiquette and blah blah blah.
Mina gasped, nudging Sana's arm. "Check out the class hottie!" She pointed, not even trying to be subtle. "He's giving off broody, mysterious vibes." Seated in the very back of the classroom was a devastatingly handsome guy with hair split straight down the middle—one half a stark white, the other a rich crimson.
Shoto Todoroki.
"Yeah," Sana agreed halfheartedly, averting her gaze. "Very mysterious."
Gray and turquoise eyes landed on her figure briefly before turning towards the window. Sana could've sworn she felt the temperature of the room plummet a few degrees, much like her spirits. We'll be seeing each other every day now. The thought gave her a flicker of hope. Sana wanted nothing more than to have her friend back. He'd avoided her like the plague during their final year of middle school. Sharing a class meant that he would be forced to acknowledge her at some point, so until then, all she had to do was wait.
The classroom had rapidly filled up while the girls had been chatting with Kirishima and Kaminari. When Sana finally returned to her seat a few minutes before the bell, she was surprised to find that a majority of the desks were now occupied, including the one directly in front of her. The only defining feature she could make out was his spiky, ash blonde hair. Sana gingerly reached out to tap his shoulder, only to quickly retract her hand as he whipped around to glare at her.
"The hell do you want, extra?" A low, raspy voice flowed over her, vermilion eyes burning into her own.
Sana took a moment to admire the boy's features. He had a well-defined jaw, though his cheeks still held some baby fat. Straight white teeth were bared in a grimace. His skin was smooth and golden, which further complimented his fair hair and brightly colored eyes. He was very attractive, despite the permanent scowl on his face. He looked familiar too, like she'd seen him before, though she was sure they'd never met until today. I'm positive that I've seen that untamable hair somewhere...
Then his words finally sunk in.
"I have a name, you know." Sana grit her teeth while maintaining a saccharine smile. "Sana Sakano."
His eyes narrowed even more at her response. "You think I give a shit? You're just another stepping stone on my way to the top." He tsked before turning to face the front of the room once again. Plum-red irises glowed faintly as she imagined her eyes burning holes through his obnoxiously large head. The universe is really testing me today.
The blonde then proceeded to lean back and prop his feet up on the desk, which immediately earned him a lecture from a certain blue-haired student. "Take your feet off of that desk now!" Iida demanded.
"Huh?" The blonde leaned back in his chair languidly.
With him so close, Sana caught a sweet scent clinging to his hair and clothes. Is that... caramel? She almost snorted at the irony. A sweet smell to balance out the sour attitude, maybe?
"It's the first day and you're already disrespecting this academy by scuffing school property, you cretin!" Iida continued to scold him, not that the boy sitting in front of her seemed to care.
"You're kidding me, right? Your old school put a stick up your ass or were you born with it?"
Sana slapped a hand to her mouth, shoulders shaking with muffled laughter at his brazen attitude. Next to her, Jirou also struggled to hide her amusement. Who is this guy?! Seriously, is he bold or just plain stupid? She wondered, trying and failing to compose herself. He's making enemies before class has even started!
As Iida tried to diffuse the ticking time bomb that was... whoever the guy was, Sana noticed a small, green-haired boy frozen in the doorway, watching the odd interaction with wide, fearful eyes.
The two stopped bickering and turned as the class fell into a hushed silence. Everyone was looking at the freckled teen, muttering amongst themselves.
What's going on? Sana looked around the room curiously. She heard someone mention the boy's performance during the entrance exam. Ahhh, so that's it. Sana tilted her head, observing the average-looking boy. At first glance, he seemed pretty ordinary. He didn't appear to be a threat, but she knew all too well that looks can be deceiving. Well whatever he did must have left quite an impression.
The broccoli-haired boy, Izuku Midoriya he would later introduce himself, was visibly flustered with all the attention suddenly focused on him. Iida walked over to him and the two exchanged a few words. Sana heard a low growl coming from the gremlin she had the honor of sitting behind for the rest of the year. If looks could kill, there was no doubt that Midoriya would already be six feet under. Hmm. Sana glanced back and forth, noticing a tension between the two. Do they, perhaps, know each other?
A girl with a brown bob and pink cheeks soon entered the scene, throwing exaggerated punches as she babbled happily with Midoriya and Iida. The trio stood in the doorway of the classroom and spoke for a few moments before-
"If you're just here to make friends, then you can pack up your stuff now." A deadpan, disembodied voice silenced the entire room. Turning slowly, they noticed an extremely sleep-deprived man with long, raven hair lying in a mustard-yellow sleeping bag on the floor.
"They'll really let just anyone in here nowadays, huh?" Sana leaned forward to whisper teasingly beside Blondie's ear. When he turned to snarl at her, she gave him an innocent, close eyed smile.
"Welcome to U.A's hero course." The rugged-looking, ebony-haired man fished out a juice box from the depths of his sleeping bag, downing it in one gulp. Sana was both fascinated and horrified by the sight.
Where was he keeping that this whole time?!
The disheveled-looking man reluctantly climbed to his feet and removed himself from the sleeping bag. "It took eight seconds before you all shut up. That's not gonna work. Time is precious. Rational students would understand that." He assessed the class with hooded, bloodshot eyes. "Hello, I'm Shouta Aizawa. Your teacher." This guy is a Pro? Sana observed him closely, but still couldn't identify the hero. "Right, let's get to it." He rifled through his sleeping bag before pulling out a gym outfit. "Put these on and head outside."
How is he storing so many things in there? Sana was in awe of this man. Is this Hogwarts or U.A?!

Random ask, what if JJK characters transported to BNHA world, who do you think woud be bff? (Named at least 7 JJK characters & 7 BNHA characters, feel free if you want to write the reasons or not).....
Kirishima and Todo would definitely get along and if Todo ask the "what's your type", Kirishima probably would give some answer that would have Todo cry and be like "I respect it". They would spar and exercise all the time and Kirishima, being so nice, would tag along with Todo when he wants to go see his favorite idol. Like, Kirishima would able to handle someone like Todo.
Itadori and Midoriya hands down would be besties. They have a lot of similarities, but also differences that I feel like would balance out well. Itadori has the perfect movie watching partner here! Midoriya could totally go on about heroes and Itadori would listen and ask questions that would get Midoriya even more hyped up. Would love for my two No. 1's to interact.
Hear me out on this one. Miruko and Gojo. Look, she would be able to handle his personality, she would be able to dish back the same energy. Honestly, these two as besties would actually be a dangerous combo.
Using Miruko again, I also say her and Yuki Tsukumo. Both are badass, confident, gorgeous strong women who operate on their terms. If these two tag-teamed, their opponents are crying from just the trash talking these two could do alone.
I think it would be funny if Kenjaku and All For One interacted. I don't know if they would be besties, but I think whatever they talk about would be something.
I think some things would have been avoided if Choso, Vlad King and Toga would have met. Or gotten worse... you never know.
Nobara, Utsushimi and Ashido would be amazing besties. Their personalities are different from one to another, but I think that's what would make a friendship between these three beautiful. It would not be boring at all with three.
Tokoyami and Okkotsu, I need those two to interact. They could bond over having Dark Shadow and Rika. And come on, Tokoyami would definitely be amazed by Okkotsu's sword. Feel like they would get along well. Both have their air about them that makes them off come as not sociable and just 'depressing', but really they're absolute sweethearts and cool once you get to know them.
Miwa and Iida, those two blue haired teens would get along. They're both hard-working, kind and even though they seem "uptight" (more so on Iida's case) they're actually not uptight and they're fun to be around. They can bond over stew (which happens to be their favorite food) and having brothers.

BNHA Ch. 419
Haven't had much to say about the chapters lately. I didn't really find the fight between Shigaraki and Izuku very exciting and was checking up on leaks just to see if the ending had dropped yet.
But I was actually really excited to see this new development in 419.
I always suspected and hoped AfO gave Tenko decay and manipulated the situation so he wasn't saved. Now, we don't know if AfO orchestrated Tenko not being saved by a Hero during his trauma walk, but it was would be a little weird if he didn't after it's been revealed he had a hand in almost every aspect of Tenko's life.
I know a lot of fans are bumped by this choice or think it ruins his character, but personally it fixes a lot of my issues with how Shigaraki has been portrayed.
The main thing (as long as AfO did mess with Tenko being saved) is that it fixes the huge world building mistake that Tenko's backstory relies on. Now, I'm not a huge fan of the ridiculousness of Touya's backstory either, where this young teen in hospital clothes runs around a rich neighborhood, but that's not the core of his identity as a villain either. The thing that mattered was that Enji was still training Shoto so Touya thought his death didn't change anything.
Tenko's origin just straight up does not make sense with everything else we've been shown about this world. By the time Tenko was born Heroes were everywhere and beloved. We've never been shown anywhere else in the story that Heroes wouldn't help a child wandering around bloody on the streets actively asking for help. Even with civilians, claiming they rely to much on Heroes doesn't fix this because why wouldn't one of the thousands he walked by go get a Hero. I mean people report stuff all the time, and it'd give them an excuse to interact with what their society deems a celebrity.
It also makes AfO look stupid. Tenko is his golden ticket--he's putting all this effort into him, he's the only person he wants/can use for his goals. Why risk a Hero or caring civilain helping him? It would ruin his entire plan if anyone even showed a small kindness to Tenko. For someone who claims to plan everything, that's taking way to many chances.
I know the people that hated this reveal think it kneecaps the message of 'Hero Society bad', but I don't necessarily think the story was ever really trying to say that. It has issues and needs some fixing, but it's not what Shigaraki wanted--he wanted total destruction. It also explains why a bunch of stuff Shigaraki said didn't make sense with what we've been shown. He thinks the things he does because he's been lied to or set up in a way where that's the only conclusion he could come to.
And it's not as if all of Tenko's pain/suffering being caused by AfO makes BNHA society perfect. Spinner still faced racist discrimination, Toga's Quirk made her feel ostracized, Dabi was neglected and abused by his father who was a Hero, Twice is the poster child of the 'one bad day' motto. Shigaraki's origin is villainy itself and with AfO's own origin, a good argument of why Heroes exist. Now the entire core characters of the League have differeing backstories instead of Shigaraki just being a combo of them all, with some AfO manipulation sprinkled in.
It makes him a better foil for Izuku as well, since just like Izuku is often referred to as an empty puppet, Tenko could be viewed this way too. This is something Izuku can connect and help Tenko with when he comes back (because it'd be insane if he was just dead now). The one thing Shigaraki does have is a Heroic heart. Yes, AfO might have set some things up to get him to be that way, but you can't force someone to be altruistic or caring of others. Tenko cares about outcasts and his friends--that's still a part of him, even if it was nurtured by AfO for nefarious purposes.
So, yeah, that's my thoughts on 419. Actually sort of excited to see what happens next.

The Morality of Fandom Activities
This might as well be an essay, so apologies for my long asf post. Just a few heads up: this is in no way talking about people who support incest irl and MAPS. Those are extreme cases that I'm not qualified myself to talk about, I only know that I don't want them on my page 😭
I stopped having a very active social media presence when I was finishing high school. For me, this was a huge deal, because as the token weird queer kid all my life, Tumblr and fandom culture provided a safe space for self-expression, developing my writing skills and exploring myself. Fandoms usually play a huge role for teens, since their interactions and their experiences shape their mindsets into the primary form their adult brain takes. Whenever I look at my old posts, I can see the points where I was maturing, I could see my opinions change very clearly without always connecting old posts to significant life events.
What is very important to take into account is that I was in ALL the "red flag" fandoms, even some niche ones. BNHA, Homestuck, RWBY, Okegom, Voltron, you name it. I was into it, I had Instagram edits of it saved on my phone. As a result, I am familiar with all kinds of fujoshi, yuri bros, proshippers, etc. I'm not here to inform you about my entire digital footprint though. I'm here to discuss fandom morality. Fair warning, I will be referring to a bunch of dark themes vaguely.
I want to start by saying I understand the appeal of a toxic ship. A ship that is straight-up problematic given the context of the story. Be it because the characters are abusive to each other, a very big age gap or them being blood relatives - I get it, even if I'm one of the people who's easily repelled by this shit. I get why Junjou Romantica, for example, became so popular. The big body proportions, the "forbidden romance" trope, the guilty pleasure, I get it. I understand how nerdy young women would fawn over yaoi because they craved a soft male touch. I understand the south park proshippers because they inserted their younger selves into the characters and imagined scenarios where their own fucked-up childhoods would make sense.
My experience with Funamusea helped me understand that things that are taboo can be appealing in a fictional form. There were a lot of issues because the horror used in Funa's games was centered around sexual battery and assault. To me, that made perfect sense. Funa games are packed to the brim with gore, war, mental abuse, and disturbing characters. Of course, there would be SA in such a fucked up setting. Rape is a horrifying thing that no one should face because it is a subcategory of violence. VIOLENCE IS SOMETHING NO ONE SHOULD EVER COME ACROSS. Therefore, why is it that people who write stories containing this trope receive so much hate, but 1940s war aus for example get praised? Why is FMA a pacifist masterpiece and not torture porn?
For "glorifying" real-life horrors? Triggering people? Let's broaden this.
Think of your favorite slasher film. Your favorite best-seller horror book. Do you think that the people behind these stories are freaks and murderers? Psychopaths are capable of fitting in anywhere they want, even fucking churches. So it is useless to assume creators are moral instigators for their VILLAINS. Now let's think about Colleen Hoover and Sara J Maas (or as I like to call her, Sara J Ass). Their "love" stories are super popular because of the immense marketing that they have received, despite profiting off romanticized harmful content. Backlash is still minimized in contrast to anime niche, because they are backed by million-dollar industries and the fact that they conform to the norms of a straight story. Although that, is a topic for another discussion - how problematic characteristics are "musts" in irl relationships.
Lastly, I want to talk about the so-called community saviors who want to protect these platforms. Those who want to build a safe environment so that no predators infiltrate our sacred grounds where we discuss Persona 5 ABO dynamics. A lot of them are oftentimes victims of this sort of abuse. I myself have come across groomers. But tbh 15yo kids who reblog Shiro X Keith are not really the enemy? Anyway, that's a little besides the point. I want to directly talk to these people right now, hear me out: you are hypocrites. You only pretend to care about Tumblr communities but do not hesitate to accuse someone of abuse (any kind) and tell them to end their life. How are you protecting anyone like this? How are you a positive role model for the children partaking in fandom activities when you show clearly that you wish death upon someone. VIOLENCE IS SOMETHING NO ONE SHOULD EVER COME ACROSS, I re-iterate and you possibly agree, but YOU ARE STILL VIOLENT, and justify it by being "virtuous". How are you any different from @\hivliving? Her actions will forever be engraved in her victims' heads, even if she was humiliated in the end. Then again, it would have been better for her to write a shitty low-quality fic about Hamilton having HIV or whatever the fuck, if looking up basic things about HIV was so difficult. After 7 years in & out of fandoms, there's one thing I'm fine with, and that's bad fics.
Ultimately there is so much more I want to say. I might cover this topic on my bestie and I's podcast sometime (soz it's in Greek). The bottom line here though is not about keeping a neutral stance on problematic media. It is to enjoy whatever the fuck you want just because it makes you happy. It is to differentiate what's a wolf in sheep's clothing from what's a sheep. It is to accept that kids will ALWAYS lie about their age to access all sorts of NSFW. God knows I did so. It is to recognize them and realize that their creators and fans are most likely not going to act out every bad thing that occurs in said story. Because if that were the case, with the rise of all the Yeagerists, we'd have so many bitchless college students trying to start little rumblings of their own, and the world would be a much funnier place.
Now go outside and spread your moral philosophies to people outside your Discord server

Okay so the last post wasn't my last BNHA one for the time being but I wanted to expand on this one (how I think Midoriya Izuku: Rising would go), 'cause I kept thinking "how would the buildup to it even go" and I wanted to share!
Also, I'll alternate between Tenko and Tomura a lot in this post, I apologize for it.
So, with that in mind, spoilers for the manga, up until Chapter 417, ahead!
Okay, so the vestige world is going back in time for Izuku and Tomura; and it has currently rewinded to their origins- Izuku, as at least a part of his origins (as you could make a case he was already on his way since the Quirkless diagnosis, while the Sludge Villain incident was a checkpoint). As such, it's likely Izuku will rewind the closer he gets to Shimura family death.
So, based on previous encounters, Tomura would need to be shown a commonality between him and Izuku (being underestimated, told it's impossible for them to be heroes) or the extent he's willing to go to save a person (Lady Nagant, Eri, Kota, Katsuki). With that in mind, I don't know if Izuku would be willing to think about the last one, because of the worms inside that can.
It's a little tiring to hear the same thing, but that "control your heart" thing is indeed very important for Izuku- because how do you connect to someone like Tomura- who has (mostly) lost hope for help if you keep repressing the feeling he'd also connect with? Can anyone recall the last time we've seen, unambiguously, Izuku's thoughts?
This, is where Izuku's repression problem comes in- the first and last setback of his: "Not all men are created equal"; he is the central representation of the matter... and so are the two people involved in this narrative:
Izuku wasn't created equal to most characters, despite BNHA's house of mirrors game: no relation to heroes, no Quirk, no one to encourage him to become one through other means, no self-worth- He's like a lot of characters, but no character is like him, period, least of all Tenko or Katsuki.
Tenko wasn't created equal to Izuku because his relation to Nana (a hero) is what caused Kotaro's resentment to resurface, and Tomura's faith in heroes was shattered because the one who "cared" for him was AFO, who groomed him to be a vessel. We don't even know yet if Decay was his all along or not!
Katsuki wasn't created equal to Izuku because he was thought strong by his Quirk, and too much encouragement caused confidence to become arrogance. He grew up with love, yes, but what was expected of him (to be an arrogant hero? Izuku's closest person? An extra character?) could've been the reason he would have died.
So, they all foil each other in some way, shape or form- but the main contrast between Izuku, and Katsuki and Tomura: he hides one emotion he should be allowed to feel since chapter 1: Unbridled rage. Even in situations he'd be justified, do we see him lose it like in chapter 82-83, 210, 285 and just barely 367?
With all of that information, let's return to Chapter 417; the most recent one as of now.
We know Izuku's priorities- others before himself, even at the cost of his safety. A suicidal recklessness, especially when it comes to kids-Kota and Eri come to mind, Katsuma and Mahoro as well. The panel of him jumping in to reach for Tenko while Nana confronts Kotaro is the best representation of it. So it wouldn't be surprising if he'd stick by Tenko's side during the first Decay (assuming it's Tomura's memory and not the actual person). He's always been like that, the Quirkless teen who just wanted to help people like All Might once did.
Tomura would most likely falter on his resolve, after all, no one helped him in the aftermath of the Shimura tragedy, while Izuku just saw a kid in need and decided to protect him. But I can also see this is where Izuku would lose it as well.
This is where, I think, the memory merging would come in. Tomura reminiscing on the misery that is his life, and Izuku finally losing it once he realized he and Tomura are similar, with all of his rage finally coming loose... But also that he can use that to connect to him, using the embers of OFA he can feel. Not all, but just enough. Dark Deku returns, his feelings of inadequacy, of not belonging anywhere.
Because Izuku knows that feeling of unfairness, of knowing people don't believe in his dreams. But he knows anyone can make a difference, he needs to see how much he already did, just by being the one willing to give a hand for those who needed it. He needs to know where his origin really begins- not when All Might decided to be his mentor, but when he was the first who stepped up to help when it mattered, the sludge villain incident.
For someone who would've fit with the League, had the wrong right cards been dealt for him.
This would be where Tenko would probably cease, at least enough to hear Izuku out. Still as kids, they would probably fight until Izuku breaks through, until both collapse in exhaustion in the vestige world- not only from the fight, but from their emotional state. Just two kids who are tired.
Who, by all accounts, should've been like Tomura, right?
Weren't heroes and villains the same, after all?
The outside world holds their breath, for there is no movement yet. But all beg Izuku to do his best.
Nothing can erase their pasts, but Izuku doesn't want to focus on that. He needs to accept it's a part of him. So does Tomura.
And just as they finally come to an understanding, and Izuku lends a hand- a promise the future can be better despite everything, Tenko is snatched again by a plethora of forceful grips. AFO's trump card is activated- something that tries to break Tenko and possess Tomura again. Izuku tries pulling him out of it, but is slowly consumed as well. In this moment, they grow back to their current ages, while Izuku can barely move. He has no strength, no Quirks, no help, and he'll die then and there.
But.
The vestiges are conscious enough to rebel against AFO, like before. One more time. Maybe for the last time?
Izuku is still connected to One For All.
And he's not the only one.
Maybe this is the last time One For All will exist. But if All For One is defeated, if Tomura is saved, it's worth it at any costs.
The vestiges find their way back to Izuku, trying to pull him out, while he holds on to Tomura, who's terrified of being taken control of once again. They lack the same strength of the Quirk, but still make enough of a difference. Yet, it's not enough.
Until the two hands of a UA student appear beside him.
If their feelings are one, then Izuku knows who it is, and feels something new, worrying, regretful and afraid, but surprisingly for Izuku, he's kind, fully trusting. Vestige or not, that weakness needs to become his strength, just like before, then. So, Izuku channels that part of him, the one he’s ashamed of, and turns into something he’s proud of.
That voice says one thing: Do your best.
And therefore, his strength, complemented by the missing piece of Katsuki’s vestige, ends up being the turning point.
Izuku rips Tomura out of All For One’s grip, in the vestige world and the real world— an explosion; the shape of a star just like the one moments before. The cocoon is destroyed, the hands are shattered and falling from the sky. Tomura is unconscious, but his grip doesn’t decay Izuku at all.
In that moment, the world cheers, as Izuku gets up, a scarred right fist in the air just like his idol. The fight was won, and Tomura was defeated., No, he was saved. Japan was saved. The world was saved.
Deku, Midoriya Izuku rises, and becomes the world’s greatest hero.

"Apparently he's like super smart"
"He plays chess, I heard he never lost"
"He seems pretty ordinary, I don't get why he's Nedzus personal student"
(Name) Ignored the comments as he left Nedzu's office, his uniform perfectly ironed and his school work organized to perfection as he went to his gen-ed classes, spending the first portion of his day with Nedzu then the rest with his peers as the faculty deemed it important for him to make friends and talk to those his age.
"Apparently he's brothers with Bakugo"
"He probably has serious anger issues"
(Name) Walked into the gen-ed class and took a seat in his chair, staring off as he began playing chess in his head as he waited for things to start "you're bakugos brother, right?" A voice asked beside him and (name) looked to see a guy "yes, I am" (name) said simply as the others glared slightly "your brother is an obnoxious asshole!" One student said "yeah! You two are so fucking cold to others, what? You think you're better than us?!"
"You know, it's impressive " (name) said simply as a student looked confused "what is?"
"That you can make baseless accusations on someone whom you haven't even had a conversation with" (name) said simply as the others looked shocked "you make claims about me that hold zero merit and frankly I think that's appalling" "how dare--"
"I think that's enough class" present mic walked in clearly frustrated with his students "is this any way to treat a new classmate?"
"But--"
"But what? I heard everything and frankly I'm ashamed of you all" the blond teacher said sternly "(name) was put in your class hoping you all would give him a warm welcome and you berated him for actions of another"
The students looked ashamed and (name) was awkward, fidgeting with his mechanical pencil as the others mumbled out apologies and the blond sighed "now pull out your textbooks to page 138"
When classes ended, (name) had a free study period and decided to go to the courtyard to play some chess by himself and get away from it all, he felt just as lonely as he did at his old school but he should have expected to be in his brothers shadow here as well.
"Hey... Uh were sorry about what happened" a few students came up, a purple haired teen and two others "it was pretty shitty of us to put that on you, that wasn't cool" the teens mumbled and (name) shrugged "I'm used to it"
"You shouldn't have to be though and it's uncool"
"Shinso Hitoshi" the purple haired teen offered and (name) looked at them passively "Bakugo (name)" his voice always so calm and collected as they nodded "so you play chess?" One student asked and (name) nodded "outside of school, I'm a professional chess player"
"Whoa! That's so cool! Is that why you're Nedzu's student?"
"Actually it's due to my quirk, I have an intelligence quirk" (name) explained and the three sat with him "whoa those are super rare!" The other said and Shinso looked curious about it "why didn't you apply earlier?" Shinso asked before realizing that was probably insensitive and (name) shrugged "didn't think I would be able, two students already got into here... A third seemed impossible" it was a lie but they seemed to accept it.
"So what's it like being Nedzu's student?!"
After classes, Kirishima was excited to see his boyfriend as the two hadn't seen each other in a few days due to conflicting schedules but now they could! Even if half the class wanted to join as well.
"I brought a friend" (name) said simply as shinso looked awkward, kirishima feeling pride at his boyfriend making friends independent of the redhead "oh! You're the one going through the transfer!" Momo said excitedly "yeah the one replacing mineta!" Ochaco cheared "and right before the sports festival! Oh we can train together!"
Hitoshi was startled a bit as he noticed Midoriya who was a calming presence "come on! Aizawa is only letting us out till 845! We only have like five hours!" Mina yelled as Bakugo grunted at her dragging him.
Hitoshi was dragged into conversation with tenya and kaminari about god knows what as Kirishima and a few others chatted away, leaving the Bakugo siblings to walk beside each other awkwardly "how's heroics" (name) said in more of a statement, uncomfortable as he tried to make small talk with his brother "fine" Bakugo grunted as Kirishima went with tsu and Ochaco "babe I'll be right back! Don't follow I want it to be a surprise!"
And then the siblings were left alone as the group seperated to grab the things they needed or wanted and to meet up after for food.
"You two seem happy" Bakugo was rarely soft, the concept of him being calm and tentative was something that would be laughable to anyone who knew him "he makes me happy, I hope I make him feel the same" (name) said simply and Bakugo make a soft hum "I'm glad you're at U.A"
"Didn't you not want me here?" (Name) Looked at Katsuki as they stopped walking"fucking--- I know I was shitty, dad's making me go to therapy with hound dog" this was new, something he didn't expect at all.
"Dad's fed up with the hag, he's forcing basically everyone to therapy so expect a call"
The two sat on a bench, small talk between them as they waited for their friends to come back.
It was strange for Katsuki to say he was finally meeting his brother, on equal grounds and no hostility but Katsuki needed this.
He needed his brother.
"BABE LOOK WHAT I FOUND!" Kirishima barreled in with bracelets "look, it has chess pieces! And you can customize it so I added a barbell!" Kirishima said excitedly as he handed (name) one and the calmer Bakugo took it curiously "this is cheesy" he said simply but the small smile as he put on it made kirishima fly to cloud nine.
Bakugo was surprised that his brother had such an interest like origami, seeming genuinely happy with the variety pack of designs "oo make me a brid!" Kirishima teased and (name) took that seriously and they could see the gears turn in his head.
(Name) Was happy when he returned to his form, putting the bracelet in a safe area with his other important items and sat down, thinking About the conversation he had... Bakugo apologized...
He had to talk to kirishima tomorrow about this.
"Hey shitty hair,.can I talk?"

I am done reading AssClass
Okay, let's see if I can type this all out without crying lol
This isn't a review, just my personal feelings on the manga, the things I liked, the things I didn't like (there really aren't much), things I wish I had seen more of etc., and my overall opinion on the ending (;--;)
Things I liked:
All of it. But seriously, the commentary on the education system. The way that it's "subtext" but like, Horikoshi-style subtext. It's not really subtext it's kind of in your face, unable to be ignored. While I'm fully aware that it caters to commentary on the Japanese education system, which differs greatly from what I'm personally familiar with, there are a lot of relatable aspects in this manga that I can relate to American education. For instance, all the "problem kids" getting hidden away from the general classroom, scapegoated, looked down upon, etc. All of that was super obvious. The way it emphasizes how individualizing teaching approaches to the student can produce amazing results that matter to that student. I work in special education currently, but I've been working with kids since I graduated college, and this manga felt very validating to me with how it shows what impact adults can have on kids if they put effort into their relationships.
Moving on....
It's a shounen, but I love how it managed to maintain its slice of life vibe by keeping it focused on their school experiences. Just the way the manga made sure not to dive into power scaling territory in any way whatsoever and mostly focus on demonstrating the way Korosensei was getting through to the students, which as a result really drove the ending home. It's kind of funny how the parts of BNHA that hold my interest the absolute LEAST were the parts of this manga that I wanted to make sure didn't fade away.
I also appreciate how it balanced its large cast without it feeling like cameo city. Everyone got the perfect amount of focus. Nobody felt like side characters who were getting more screen time than necessary to an annoying extent. It has its main focus characters but it truly is a manga about all of Class 3-E. I was impressed by that, as with large casts I usually get irritated quickly when characters I don't particularly care about (because the manga gives me no reason to seriously care about or be invested in them) are being given screen time SOLELY for the purpose of getting screen time. Just...things I generally don't like, but this manga didn't have that issue.
The characters of focus:
Korosensei- I knew his character would be the source of my tears at the end. The person who recommended this manga to me went ahead and told me he would die (which I appreciated because I think I might have been upset/angry at the manga if I hadn't been warned---I'm not good with tragedies lol). So--I knew what was coming, just not the how or the when. Korosensei is the best character in the manga and everything that happens in his arc I feel very reasonably warrants the ending. However it doesn't take away the devastation it made me feel lol. I knew early on, I could tell that he was going to be the source of most of the emotion dredged up in the manga. He didn't disappoint. I've never favored a mentor/teacher character this much.
Karma- My favorite, no surprise. I love how he's introduced as this deranged, violent, uncontrollable teen but ends up being the most go-getting academic in the class. He's bothered when his grades drop the slightest and he more than makes up for it later (so he CARES). He's pretty chill in personality but his unhinged-ness comes out randomly throughout and it's either hilarious or just really cool. He's really not what he's introduced as. He's goofy, and he drops his "revenge against teachers" persona pretty quickly after he's introduced and Korosensei picks at him a little. His friendship with Nagisa gives me life. It's hidden in the shadows but you know it's there, and it finally gets focus toward the end which I ate UP.
Tumblr media
Nagisa- BEST MAIN CHARACTER. He feels so passive without actually being passive. His development happens subtly imo, it wasn't something I noticed until the summer vacation arc. After that I paid a lot more attention to him and he easily slide his way into top favs. I LOVE LOVE LOVE how his backstory tied into his skills in the classroom, and how that drove him to change his mind about being an assassin. God that was cinema at its finest. And I said this already but his friendship with Karma is just *chefs kisses* I love them both. They're melons.
Kayano- SHE SHOCKED ME. SURPRISED ME. BUT I LOVE HER. She really did stick close to the protag and hide in his shadow and then come out at the MOST unexpected time. Her backstory tying into Korosensei's backstory, making her closer to him than anyone else in the class ;--;
And that leads me into when I started sobbing and didn't stop.
Korosensei's backstory was rough, but the conclusion to his backstory was where the tears started flowing, and didn't stop until I finished the manga.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I was waiting for the kids to finally acknowledge what assassinating their teacher meant, and finally when the realization came I was emotionally unequipped for it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These moments had me in a blubbering mess, and it's taking a lot of effort not to cry RIGHT NOW LOOKING AT THEM
And then of course:
Tumblr media
....okay in order to avoid crying I'm gonna move on lol
Things I didn't like--honestly not much. I don't have any actual complaints. I just want to sue for emotional damages.
Things I wish had been different:
Things that aren't critiques because they aren't a flaw, just personal wishes I have.
I wish we had gotten to see more of Asano Jr. and Itona. I feel like Asano absolutely could have been used and explored more. Maybe I just wanted him to join class E. I knew it wasn't going to happen just due to the point I was at in the chapters and knowing it wasn't long enough to get into that. But Asano was a fav that I would have been very interested in seeing more. He felt like a side character who absolutely could have been lifted out of side character territory. Itona drew me in more when he was unhinged, and my liking for him didn't go away but my fixation on him shifted to Asano lol. I feel like Itona could also have been used more. But the way in which he was used wasn't bad at all.
Other characters:
I LOVE what happened with Principal Asano, absolutely love it. It made me forgive everything he was about throughout the story. I love his perception of Korosensei changing and how he offered him a job to come back later, I love his shift in thinking, his reuniting with his former students no matter how bittersweet it was. I loved Korosensei telling P. Asano that he was replicating what Asano had envisioned when he started his school. Tear jerking forreal.
Karasuma and Irina: Loved them. Loved how Karasuma kept a hard front almost the entire manga and slowly started letting it fade away as time went on. I love how the three teachers bonded and at the end, Karasuma acknowledging that all three of them raised that class. More tears flowing. Irina best girl. She was fanservice-y but it wasn't a stupid gag and was a part of her character (a legit seductress), and she as a whole was great.
I coud go on and on about the ending and how emotional it made me watching everyone clean the building and the mountain, and Kayano saying it feels like Korosensei and Aguri are still there with them, so they don't intend to make it a memorial site. I could go on and on but I'm legit tired of crying lol I really can't handle it anymore. So I'll end it here and say that this replaced Naruto in my top 5 LOL (sorry Naruto). 10/10.

Thanks for the tag Sam!
Q: How did you get into reading/writing/drawing femslash? A: I've been in the fic world since I was 15. Fic was a way for me to interact with my sexuality when I was closeted to everyone I knew. I didn't have any sort of queer community; the closest thing I had was the internet. It took me a little longer to pluck up the courage to share my F/F stories, so I appreciate the creative outlet that fandom and writing fic has given me!
Q: What are your favorite femslash ships? A: Korrasami, Bubbiline, Clexa, Allison/Lydia (teen wolf), and TogaChako!! I feel like there are more, but I'll probably remember after posting this! (edit: it was Catradora)
Q: Which F/F rarepair(s) do you wish got more love and why? A: Right now my main fandom is My Hero Academia, and I have to say just about every Ochako femslash ship, with a special shoutout to MinaChako, TsuChako, Ochako/Setsuna, and Ochako/Kendou! Also all the Lady Nagant ships. I LOVE Lady Nagant. If I had to pick a BNHA crush it would be her. I love her best with Inko or Ippan Josei!
Q: What is your favorite thing about drawing/writing femslash? A: I think it's being able to relate to the characters I choose to write about, even if I haven't gone through everything I've ever put my characters through. Just sinking into the emotion and romance of a story I want to see through is such a fun experience, even at the height of drama, angst, or action and adventure!
Q: What is your greatest challenge when drawing/writing femslash? A: Smut! Pacing and word choice can make or break a scene and it's constantly a learning experience.
Q: Do you prefer reading/writing femslash one-shots or longfics? A: I love reading both! As for writing, oneshots are easier to finish, but harder to write. Longfic WIPs are my favorite to start because of all the worldbuilding I get to do, but they're the hardest to finish.
Q: What is your favorite/most underrated F/F fic you have written or F/F thing you've drawn? A: I'd say my urban fantasy MomoJirou AU, Sweet, Like Red. (mind the E rating!)
Q: What are your favorite tropes in F/F fics? A: Getting together! Hurt/Comfort, Mutual pining, Friends to Lovers, Enemies to Lovers
Q: What sort of background pairings do you like to see in fics with F/F as a main pairing? A: My most read F/F pairing right now is TogaChako. I'd say my favorite background pairings in fics with them are definitely Deku and Mina ships, because they're both favorites of mine and I adore fics that feature their friendships with Ochako.
Q: What tone or vibes do you prefer in femslash fics? Crack? Angst? Fluff? A bit of everything? A: I read a wide variety of fic. Everything from fluff and rom-coms to crack, soapy dramas and heavy angst. I also really enjoy horror. When I write, I think I tend toward a more serious or dramatic style, but am trying to lean into lighter plots as well!
Q: Are there any specific F/F WIPs you are working on or ideas you’ve cooked up that you’re especially excited about? A: I'm working on two right now! I'm a big omegaverse fan, and F/F omegaverse is hard to come by, so I'm whittling away at the next chapter of a TogaChako everyone-lives-and-is-a-pro-hero AU with an omegaverse twist. Anti Gravity centers on an adult pro-hero Ochako who's sworn off relationships teaming up with underground hero Sanguine to bust a trafficking ring, not realizing her new partner (and assigned heat contact) is the very same mysterious hook-up she can't seem to get out of her head. Please note this fic is rated E, and will eventually feature canon typical violence and some dystopia. The Egg in the Moon is a KendoChako high fantasy AU complete action/adventure, dragons, and soulmate marks! When Princess Ochako meets dragonborn Itsuka on the battlefield, she must face everything she thought she knew about the tension between their people with the reality when an unexpected event brings her and Itsuka together. Please note this fic is rated M, and does contain moments of peril, graphic violence and side character death.
Q: Any fic recs?
A: Loads!!!
If you enjoy F/F omegaverse like myself, I'd definitely recommend:
NefarioussNess's TogaChako SoulMate series (T and M ratings with background BKDK)
SeasonalSaison's achingly lovely fantasy tale Run baby run (rated T. Warning that TogaChako meet as step siblings when their parents marry, prompting a lovely case of unrequited but actually requited love)
Sugar Sweet Strawberries is a MinaChako AU where mentor Mina takes fledgling sugar baby Ochako under her wing. (Warning for E rating and sex work)
For BNHA stories that aren't omegaverse:
read between my lines by FireHeartAW is a witchy TogaChako bookshop AU complete with confessions and all the sapphic love at first sight feels (rated T)
KharmtheRose has a wonderful assortment of F/F BNHA fics! (some are rated E!)
Works by Wingedpaki (variety of ratings and AUs, including omegaverse!)
long to hold you by fizzseed is a delectable established relationship MinaChako (mind the E rating!)
Non BNHA:
Measure Each Step to Infinity by paxbanana (AtLA, Katara/Azula. Rated E). 200k+. One of my favorite epic length reads!
femslash writer/artist interview
I’m trying to get back into interviewer mode for one of my jobs and classes, so I decided to make a (hopefully) fun little game. Feel free to reblog, tag ppl and answer as few or as many of the questions as u want. And feel free to tailor the questions to make them more applicable to u
How did you get into reading/writing/drawing femslash?
What are your favorite femslash ships?

It's mentioned in one of the extras in bnha (by Horikoshi himself) that Bakugou isolates himself on the path to greatness as a defence mechanism since he's actually a sensitive soul...
You've written the 🌟best🌟 true to character Bakugou in all the fanfics I've ever read, so I wanted to ask how you balance Bakugou's brashness with his sensitivity, and his harshness with his specific brand of kindness. He has strong moral code/values that he staunchly follows but that's still different from the occasional bouts of care he shows to people.
Thank you 😊
hmm you know i don't know if i think that's the best 'in' to bakugou's character because while he is sensitive to a degree (dramatic crier, big emotions, not a bad people reader if he cares) i really feel like that quote is sort of overplaying that angle. bakugou's definitely got his depths but i'm leery of leaning too far into the idea he's some kind of scintillating empath that no one gets.
in terms of characterisation i'm glad you feel that way! i've written breakdowns of my characterisation before so those would be a good starting point on my analysis. but to your specific points, and focusing on teen canon bakugou:
so his base attitude is like….. constant intense commitment to his goals (🤝bakudeku) mixed with pretty solid awareness of self (will elaborate). which means at repose he’s just super serious & then you layer in the brash persona (not feigned, just exaggerated and sometimes blustering, lot of it comes from (unjustly lol) holding everything to his standard). that’s base level bakugou i think. he gets half the personality from his mom & the other is all his.
by self aware i don’t mean he’s like psychologically healthy. but he has a good grasp of his own abilities and skills. early days his blind spot are his limitations but that’s mostly bc up to that point he’s never been confronted with the fact he has any. that’s why he’s allowed so much arrogance / confidence, even when facing down sports fest or the league. he knows what he can do. rmr even early on he got worried when seeing todoroki’s abilities; he’s pissed at him at sports fest bc he’s well aware that would have been a fair fight. by now in canon that’s obviously reached a more mature self-awareness.
ig that’s kind of tied to the sensitivity point. i think bakugou isn’t bad with people; he does have a good read on them & has established leadership skills (amplified once he stops being so domineering; he and izuku have long been coded as 1A coleaders). that said younger bakugou certainly did not give a shit abt other people’s interiority so hes not exactly a bleeding heart lol. i think he’s more perceptive than empathetic (can understand but does not relate), which colors his nicer moments- and i say that with love, bc i think that’s more interesting.
bakugou is just a harsh / brash guy- very direct, abrupt and in your face with it. that’s his fighting style, his personal style, his communication style, even his choice of hobbies; he doesn’t tolerate wishy washy bullshit and isn’t one for niceties. that said he can keep in line / watch his approach around authority figures, bc he’s a pretty pragmatic guy. that also comes thru in his fighting. he will mouth off within reason.
the interpersonal struggle for him is that in UA he was forced out of his top dog role real quick and it made him extra aggro/tsundere bc he spent way too long only interacting w peers from a superior position or as extras, so having to connect on a genuine level w people he would once have seen as below him feels weird and overly exposing. it obviously starts going better for him as development marches on, especially when there’s like a concrete common goal involved. i think he’s consciously trying to find a happy medium by later in canon- see the ‘casual’ way he hangs around cracking jokes abt dabi when they’re trying to support todoroki, snarky but present. from what i gather his current default is to veer overly serious but that’s also bc canon is very Dark and Serious rn.
the moral code thing is funny bc OG flavor bakugou has less of that and more of an understanding of the rules he’s playing by to win. the league disgusts him bc theyre baddies yes but also bc they’re losers. bc bakugou at that point is an asshole teen bully who told his childhood bestie he was less than nothing as a daily hobby, and i don’t doubt that he could have gone down the endeavor route had he not had common sense knock him around a few significant times. that said he does certainly always have sort of a personal code of, idk, self-discipline and aiming to exceed all expectation, but that ties back to what i’ve already addressed. anyways by present day he’s obviously recalibrated his moral compass massively but it’s always most interesting to me in the minor personal detail- for example, his kneejerk “my mom used to knock me around and i’m fine!” reaction to justify beating kids up but then begrudgingly letting todoroki lead their approach because he recognises his input on the subject. it’s consistent writing because it’s not that he’s a perfect saint now, but he is growing.
this is very long and very late, but tldr those are my takes on your questions!
to me bakugou is one of the best written parts of bnha, but he is a complicated character to get right if you don’t have a good handle on why he works so well- i don’t know if i’ve made that more or less confusing for you but i’m hoping the latter.
