Apparently there’s gonna be a raid event for shiny Rayquaza. I can definitely see this being impossible (but having a gimmick that allows you to have some kind of hope you don’t fuck it up) like the Mewtwo raids. Plus Mewtwo is just a genuinely more interesting Pokémon to me (I say this btw as someone who is not a genwunner. My favourite generation is Gen 9 because of Walking Wake and Iron Leaves. And Gouging Fire and Iron Boulder. And Quaquaval, Meowscarada, Armarouge and Ceruledge. And Iron Bundle, Iron Jugulis, Iron Moth, Iron Valiant, Miraidon and Iron Crown. Plus gens 6 and 8 are the runners up (followed by gens 3 and 7). It’s rare that I obsess over Gen 1 Pokémon ever since Flareon got overtaken as my favourite Pokémon by Ceruledge and hasn’t returned since despite how many times I’ve had a change in favourite Pokémon since then) so I will go into this with the mentality that I will give up sooner than I did for the Mewtwo raids even though knowing me I’ll get addicted to the effort and continue and then in the unlikely situation I successfully beat it I’ll name it something suggesting it has a superiority complex (I guess suggests because of nominative determinism? Idk I just wasn’t sure how to phrase that)
#I reckon the Tera type will be Dragon#maybe Flying but probably Dragon#I know why they chose this (Pokémon Horizons) but they should’ve chosen a more interesting Legemdary/Mythical#seeing as you can anyway get Rayquaza through Snacksworth’s quest if you have NSO I think they should have gone with Necrozma#also I still think the Proto Beasts and Neo Swords should be allowed to fuse#sure you probably wouldn’t be able to get them from the raid because Wake and Leaves are already exclusive to them#so it kinda ruins the whole “one per save file” thing#(I like to imagine the fusions are alternate forms of Wake and Leaves with similar ideas to Kyurem Necrozma and Calyrex’s fusions#and the fusion items should be those unused rocks. Call them the Scarlet and Violet stones)#rayquaza#shiny pokémon#pokémon#i never understood the hype for Rayquaza or non-shiny-locked Legendaries#I’ll always see shiny-locking as Game Freak saying “this Pokémon is canonically not shiny”#the Walking Wake and Iron Leaves who decided to battle in Tera Raid battles were canonically not shiny#I was going to continue the rant here but then I realised my argument fell apart with the whole “rare in their native timeline” point#like if there are only 10 Iron Leaves in the Future Paradox Pokémon’s home timeline#the chances of that specific Iron Leaves that came to our timeline is 1/10#whereas if there are shit tonnes of Iron Leaves the chances of that specific Iron Leaves being shiny are the normal 1/8400#or whatever the odds are now#but my point about that specific Iron Leaves being canonically not shiny still stands

btw after four years i finally finished all data from my iberian-inspired fakemon region. if you even care
#i might start ybraposting again soon who knows#i also have this crave to do pixel art and actually make maps and try to make this a game but i dunno how much this crave will last tbh#i made pixelart back in the day when i was in deviantart so. it's been a while#idk let's see what happens#anyways now that i have the final product#i can say. my fake region is ybra#where pokémon rose and carnation take place (very funny that they are named after the two last canon professors)#yes i know clavell isn't a professor but you know what i mean#i believe i started working on this during gen vii so. lol#anyways. we have ybra as the main region#BUT#there will be three dlcs after you complete the main story#yes three!!! honestly there were only two until i realized i left out a big part of iberia in my original plan for ybra for some reason#and these past days i've been making a region inspired by the kitakami dlc hehe#anyways onto the three dlcs. they are.#1) the glory of ossana. this takes you to ossana. based on southern france aka occitania aka whatever is between kalos and ybra#you have 5 gyms to beat here all thematic (for example there's one specialized on starters and the last one is specialized on legendaries)#of course being next to kalos there'll be references to it. the pokedex has pokemon both from ybra and kalos. and you'll get a new rival#for this region: serena - champion of kalos#also after beating the gym leaders you might get to battle a certain giant man that's 3000+ years old#2) the islands of the muses. this wouldn't make sense if you don't know the main story of the games. but basically throughout the game#you encounter these girls call the muses that protect the access to this dangerous evil pokemon#well. in this dlc you'll visit the homeland#based on the canary islands. each muse has an island associated to them (kinda. cause there's 7 islands)#there's also a mythical pokemon encountered in each territory of the muse and a mini storyline dedicated to it#also these islands are open world!!! and each island has its own pokedex#after beating all the muses and completing all their quests you'll be able to fight mnemosyne their mother and (spoiler) previous champion#3) (the new one!!!!) mysteries of lurmamua. you'll travel to this secluded land called lurmamua based on euskal herria when these mysteries#have been happening just as the region is preparing for an international film festival that is sure to attract tons of celebrities#from all over the world!!!

Soooo I'm playing Hogwarts Legacy and finally beat the Jackdaw's Rest quest last night. Took me forever to kill those dang spiders.
#i basically waited until lvl 14 to try to beat the quest....i tried at lvl 11 and kept dying and rage quit#my fiancé beat it at lvl 10 bc he wanted to have his broom and the room of requirement so he basically kept trying for like 2 hours#im just happy im one step closer to getting a broom gawsh darn it#and im getting quidditch champions next pay day by god#also its stupid its not coming out for the switch until like this holiday season#but yee#also im ready to be able to brew my own potions in the room of requirement#i havent tried to use the potions class room so idk if i could this whole time or what#oh and i bought like 2k gold in legendary gear before trying that jackdaws quest again so that helped majorly#i didnt have any health potions on me just the ones you can get from j. pippins#it was stoopid but i did it yayy#hogwarts legacy

I try to not shame people for the characters they like, I mean, I like Maxson for fucks sake, ive got no room to talk, but i seriously don't get the fascination with Pickman? I've seen a surprising amount of fanart and fic with them. Oc ship stuff. Why? He's a generic "welcome...to my dark mind" joker dude. He's not even a good reference to Lovecraft. Pickman is just some dude who makes abstract art with blood and neon yellow paint. I would disregard him as a simple npc but people like this dude. A lot. Why??? How ambitious and revengeful too#I was going to talk about Jingliu and Dan Feng but I won't haha I may do later on#I don't know... I feel my chest so warm and so cold at the same time. I guess it's the fondness and the grief haha#I'm rambling though and I actually want to find this idea#Fragments and scraps#Yingxing#Blade#I've been told I can set the blog to private and that way I won't have the problem of throwing my posts in the general tag unwillingly#There's only one post I've wanted people to interact with and to this day no one has answered my question anyway#So I should consider that. It may be the best choice before half the HSR blogs block me for being annoying#I want to he able to find art and gifs haha#When I say 'life and self' I mean that not only did he dedicate his entire life to it on a temporal dimension#but he forged himself initially for this goal. He doesn't know what to say and knows she doesn't care#'I longed to be able to accept it‚ and I do not say I have not tried'‚ from Ovid. As Hozier puts it‚ 'the choiceless hope in grief'#I'm running out of space but I adore that these three people unmade themselves because of this. I think in Dan Feng's case there's also#a longing for a making in the unmaking process‚ that breaking free from the High Elder cycle that so tormented him and robbed him#from himself. The parallels both in similarities and oppositions between Jingliu‚ Blade (or Yingxing) and Dan Feng are so good#But I've run out of space and I wanted to save my thoughts on that somewhere else anyway. #since i collected all johto/kanto badges my next goal is to start grinding extra harder for red +#my decision to try to catch as much legendaries#so the first thing i did was make sure that poliwhirl and misdreavus actually evolved - so i went around to find the stones#along the way i happen to find a dawn stone - i frowned thinking like. man if only i could use this on kirlia > gallade#i went to goldenrod to buy some tms and as i left the city i accidentally walked on grass (speeding up the emulator lmao) and FOUND RALTS#i was so shocked because AYO RALTS? IN JOHTO MF#it was male even so i was so excited to grab it - i did and then later i was like “would be cool if i could get a gardevoir too”#“maybe i can breed the ralts with a ditto'#“but I don't have a ditto :[”#AND THEN I WALKED ON THE GRASS AGAIN TO FIND A DITTO RIGHT AFTER THAT AKSKSJSJSJSJDJSSK#i caught it IMMEDIATELY#i was like. wow this is too good to be true. i kept walking on grass again and then i found a female ralts.#now the ditto wont be necessary anymore but i was happy to get one#my next concern was like - 'aw man they're hella underleveled tho - oh yeah! daycare. where's that dayca-#LITERALLY JUST 3 STEPS AWAY FROM ME. THE DAYCARE. BECAUSE DUH. IM IN GOLDENROD CITY THEY'RE NEXT TO EACH OTHER FLDJFKFLFKDKDK#I WAS JUST MADLY GIGGLIGN TO MYSELF LIKE GIRL DAMN EVERYTHING CAME RIGHT TO ME RGRGDHDH#so yeah my other side quest is to get both gallade and gardevoir. probably super obvious but yes they're my fav lines aksjsjsj#there's also another bit i discovered where once i collected all 16 badges - i have to visit the sound designer in celadon's apartments#he gave me a Gameboy device that plays the entire game out but in the Gameboy ver aka the og games and#idk i just... really appreciate that bit? you can tell so much love was poured into this#i enabled the device for a bit too simulate how it would sound like if i played the gb versions. it's so cool#immediately jumped to pallet town and new bark town's ver - it's so sweet sounding#i really appreciate that small bit! as someone who didn't play the og games this one is just a nice way of giving me a tasteof it#anyway - right now im trying to level the team the best i can + evolved with stones and im also trying to look for the other gym leaders#to get their phone number to rebattle (and level up again)#.... i was flustered to get morty's number first...#at the bellchime tower of all places???!?!?!! damn. damn. in the pretty autumn trees smh morty are you setting me up.. slash ro-#EITHER WAY I GOT A LIIITLE EXCITED OVER THAT SMDNDBDBBDLFLF anduhhhmayhapsfunneideasgrgfgf#hi sarahdontlook at meee HEVDVSVEBSBSBD#i forgot morty pops up there and. finally playing the sword & shield dlc (yes i’m a little late to the party lmao) and woooow crown tundra is so much more enjoyable than isle of armour
#maybe it’s just because i’m stuck in the stage of leveling kubfoo and the only other thing to do in the meantime is the diglett quest#hey you know what would be fun for the players? spotting a dozen sight variations on the ground in a sandstorm!!!#also the dynamax lair thing in crown tundra?????? VERY FUN and basically just free legendaries#they just tell you where to find giratina and you do 4 fights and don’t have to worry about catch rates??#tbf i did lose again kyurem but then you can just retry at any time and it doesn’t cost you ANYTHING#i also really like the fact that they give you pokemon to choose. takes a lot of the stress out of it for me#ANYWAY so it’s rough having to choose legendary forms#i wanna go with the darker type for everything all the time lmao#like i’m gonna get the ghost horsie. but i’m still trying to decide for urshifu#i think i might actually go with water. but dark is cool 😭😭😭#tbf i can just use a different switch profile to get the other one and then transfer it but it’s not the same yknow. only one is my choice#anyway idk. i’m having fun. i played for like 8 hrs straight yesterday OOPS#trying to work out the regi puzzles tho….regirock was very obviously an everstone but i’ll have to think abt the others#(NO SPOILERS IM DOING IT MYSELF)#and then i have to choose electric vs dragon right? fml#i’ll probably go electric because my strongest pokemon are more dragons#but i know regieleki is the competitive choice and more ppl take it so i feel bad for regidrago lmaooooo#whatever that’s a choice for later. the only choice i have to make right now is where to plant my carrots and im going with ghost for that#IM GOING GHOST GUYS#personal

Oh the PSMD music playing during the Latios cutscene is such a nice touch

Completing the Pokédex is like a disease to me I have to do it and I get way too absorbed in it it isn’t even fun
