Discovery Channel's latest masterpiece "Exploring the Unknown" officially announced that Wang Yibo's first outdoor exploration full record

Produced by Warner Bros. Discovery and exclusively broadcast on Tencent Video, Wang Yibo's outdoor exploration documentary program "Exploring the Unknown" has officially been announced. Starting from August 31, the 12 episodes will be updated twice a week on Tencent Video. Actor and singer Wang Yibo, as the initiator of the program, will follow six Discovery Chinese explorers to start an outdoor exploration journey deep into the polar regions. Cheng Er will be the special interviewer to explore Wang Yibo's mental journey and personal growth in participating in the program.

It is the first outdoor exploration documentary program that Wang Yibo has participated in. The program unites six top survival and outdoor experts in China: Lao Xue, a jungle survival skills expert, Zhou Peng, a leader in China's mountaineering community and the first mountaineer to win the "Asian Golden Piolet Award", Wang Hao, an extreme explorer who focuses on cave exploration, Zhou Fang, a natural documentary director and senior underwater videographer, Abang, a world-class rock climber and rock climbing instructor, and Wu Xinlei, a former member of the French special forces and desert survival expert. In the 12 episodes of the program, they accompany Wang Yibo to six extreme geographical destinations such as snow-capped mountains, deserts, islands, and tropical rainforests to complete the exploration mission.

Through real-life footage it presents the audience with the entire process of natural wonders, exploration challenges, emergencies, and outdoor fun. In the trailer, Wang Yibo follows the explorers to extreme environments such as snow-capped mountains and tropical rainforests, and embarks on outdoor challenges such as rock climbing and waterfall rappelling, showing a strong learning ability and sense of skills. When exploring the snow-capped mountains, Wang Yibo faced altitude sickness, quickly adapted and handled it calmly, and successfully reached the summit; when rock climbing, he faced the danger of the rope falling off, but he still did not give up the challenge... His determination and attitude to overcome adversity, his passion for love and exploring the unknown, show the vitality and vigor of young people.

The program not only presents the process of young artists exploring the world, but also focuses on exploring the spiritual world of explorer Wang Yibo. Through six exploration themes, Wang Yibo constantly challenges his physical limits, explores the boundaries that the body can reach, discusses topics about growth among young people, and shows Wang Yibo's attitude and thinking towards big topics such as living, ups and downs in life, fear, and loneliness. Each challenge brings him one step closer to his true self. Contemporary young people can project their own mental state into the program and follow Wang Yibo on a journey to find inner answers and inner strength.

This might just be Volume 2's longest chapter of them all.

I love how Luis's magic works here. Joris is bringing Amalia and Yugo into an abyss but Luis just magically summons stairs out of nowhere for them.

I love the ingenuity behind it ✨️

But I feel like the creativity only begins here.

Because my god I knew Luis was a big house but I didn't think that he would be able to hide A FREAKING ZAAP PORTAL!!

So you're basically saying that Luis is a storage room and needed an extension? Got it, pookie bear 💕💕

If I had a nickel for every time these two held hands before jumping into a portal, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

Also, can we please just address the fact that Yugo's hood in this angle looks a lot like one of his female eliotrope children by the name of Desperia, who appears in Oropo's special episode? She has an eagle (or just bird) theme about herself, and the top of her head looks a lot like how Yugo's cloak looks in that shot.

I know it's not the same at all, but this angle and panel really makes Yugo look like he's wearing something along the lines of what she'd wear.

And I like to think that this was an added detail for that very specific reason. Desperia is a part of who Yugo is, so of course they'd both share some kind of style lol

Anyways, as soon as they follow Joris through the zaap portal, they were met with this....

How is it so big????? How much was Luis not capable of storing??? Cuz I almost thought I was looking at a town because of how illuminating it looked. It's so nice and cute but seriously where are they???

Is this like an archive in the underground??? Cuz it sure looks like it. But I bet we're never going to get an answer to that since the location was technically confidential. All we know, however, is that it is in fact in a place since they had to use the zaap portal. So they're somewhere in the World of Twelve either underground or in some kind of abandoned mine due to how dark it looks like since the place is using lights.

And to think that most of these books are shushus too... Who the hell managed to capture them?? JORIS???? Yeah, that seems to check out lol

First of all, can I please just say that I LOVE how despite Amalia is now the Sadida Queen, Joris still calls her by her first name? It just goes to show how much of a friend he sees in her. It's not even because he had met her when she was a kid, or else the guy would've called other young royals, like Armand, by their first names and yet we've never seen that happen. Like ever.

It's such a nice detail and I'm here for it 🩷

Second of all, Joris worked his ASS off to just try to get whatever he can find about the world and gain as much information as he can just to turn this place into some archive library. This guy is freaking 500 years old and it shows. Dear god this place looks awesome but it's still freaky as all hell when you think about how much he tried to find some of the world's lore and ancient manuscripts...The guy must've been working day in and day out like a maniac at some point while Kerubim and Atcham kept dying and coming back.

Dealing with a bag of trauma while trying to defend the world makes archiving manuscripts and scriptures a fun hobby 💀💀

We can already notice some details and easter eggs in this panel alone.

If we look at the right, we already see a framed picture of Grougalorasalar's full dragon form.

Right next to the framed picture, there's a golden trophy of what looks to be Khan Karkass. This was probably one of his achievements that Joris managed to have gotten his hands on before it got lost to time.

On the desk, we can see another frame picture, a drawing (from the Dofus movie) which had been made by Joris when he was a kid which depicted his what his parents would have looked like before he knew about his real ones.

We see a certificate or a diploma of some sort on the lower left. Though this might have just been some sort of achievement made by either Joris or someone else entirely.

There is also a hatched egg right next to the table for some reason.

Finally, on the higher left side of the panel, we see a portrait of some woman. I'm not personally sure who she is, but from the looks of her clothes, I'm assuming she might have been a past ruler of some kind. She really strikes me as odd because I've never seen her before. If some people might have recognized her from somewhere, do tell. If not, then I hope that the next chapter reveals to us who she might have been. She really looks like the anomaly in this panel for having no explanation of familiarity around it...

But a funny small theory thatbbegan circling around is that people think she could have been Joris's lover lol

To us, it had been obvious that it was because of the black dragon, since us intellectual and artistic people have watched the Dofus movie and understood its value and the level of depth and knowledge that it poured onto us 😌😌

They should be able to know that Joris has a connection to her.

So if that's the case....why are they not telling him that this chick is actually alive again??

They look sad or more empathic than anything else. Are they waiting for a good opportunity to reveal it? Or did they still not piece the clues together?? OR ARE THEY JUST NOT TELLING HIM CUZ THEY DON'T WANT TO?!!??

I find it very helpful that Joris just mildly mentions that the primordial dragons are able to resurrect back after they die, kinda like how the six primordial eliatropes and dragons are able to do. It's subtle, yet nice to know because it confirms to the unsure fans that the primordial dragons of the World of Twelve can in fact die and come back.

House's entire Thing is that he needs to be Right. He needs to be proven Right and told he's Right. The only thing he ever wanted to hear from his own father is that he was Right and he did the Right Thing. I think that being such a core piece of who he is directly translates into the bedroom.

House holds such a negative view of himself but also has such a desperation to be right. So even if he wants to be good, he views himself as bad, therefore he must prove that he is bad in order to be right. This is why we see him constantly choosing to do the wrong thing, it's just to prove himself right that he was bad all along.

I often think about that scene in the poker episode when they figured out that he was right and the patient that he lost 12 years prior actually had the diagnosis he thought it was all along. He has a full body reaction to it, slams his cane and makes everyone in the room jump because goddammit I was right! I was good! It wasn't my fault! He carried the weight of her death with him for twelve years and you could literally see the weight lifted off of him when they confirmed the diagnosis.

All of that to say— I firmly believe that he goes a little bit insane for being praised in the bedroom. He is cocky when it comes to sex, he's never been ashamed about it and makes it obvious that he believes he is good in the bedroom. And when he's proved right and told he's good and how good he can make the person he's with feel, it's that same high he gets from being proved right. He just needs to hear that he was right, that he was good, that he did the right thing.

And there's also that part of him that yearns to be told he's good when he believes he is so bad, as we all do. He's only human, and a human who has a very negative view of himself. I think he, just as much as anyone else, wishes that he was told otherwise by someone he loves and trusts and believes.

I think this is reflected back in the way he treats the fellows; specifically the instances where he tells Foreman "I can't forgive you, Foreman. There's nothing to forgive." Or when he told Chase "you reevaluate your life when you mess up. You didn't mess anything up, you were just stabbed." Or when he tells cameron that he was proud of her when she killed the patient who was suffering and wanted to die. He wishes he had someone who would tell him that they're proud of him, that things are not all his fault just because it feels like the fate of the world rests on his shoulders, that he doesn't need to be forgiven for doing what was right.

He would never allow those things to happen in his every day life. But in the privacy of his bedroom, wrapped up with someone he can be vulnerable with, someone he trusts enough to show them the most vulnerable parts of himself, that would be the only time and place where he would accept those words and let them take him higher than any drug or puzzle could.

My thoughts on episode 4 of PJO: spoilers (chaotic edition because I JUST watched it and the thoughts are so fresh)

-First off: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

-Ok, good. Had to get that out. Second: best 30 minutes of my life

-I don’t think you guys will ever be able to fully comprehend how much I love Annabeth Chase and seeing Leah as her has only heightened that love. So imagine how elated I was to watch an episode full of my girl. She slayed, owned, and ate this episode. Whatever you want to call it. She did it

-“Are you awake?” The long-ass pause before Annabeth answered. As soon as Percy spoke, I was so hoping he was talking to her and not Grover (sorry I love him but). And then she answered

-She finally opened up to him!! We got some of her backstory!! She’s finally feeling comfortable!!!

-Percy’s face when she said she was seven. He was so surprised. I think he realized instantly how long this girl has been going through so much. They are only twelves years old. But she was a child when this began for her. Like you could tell he couldn’t believe it

-Grover mocking Annabeth was probably my favorite line from him yet. He’s so unserious I love him. Also, the food part was too relatable

-Small detail but the sky was so freaking pretty in the background. Such a unique thing to add and I loved it

-“Can I ask a dumb question?” As soon as he said it I knew Annabeth was gonna be the one to respond and she did not disappoint.

-“little girl” Annabeth’s reaction. I got chills. Leah deserves an Oscar/Emmy (whatever the actor award is) for that scene alone

-Loved Enchilada (don’t know how to spell her name and don’t feel like going back to check) but she talked too damn much. I was like get back to my kids please. Oh and back the hell up

-My BOY GOT STABBED NOOOOO. Oh he’s fine (plot twist: no he’s not)

-Annabeth took that mf DOWN for a second

-The monument!!! It was so cool!! Interesting that it’s a monument to Athena. I think I remember that from the book but either way that’s cool

-The. Entire. Conversation. Between. Percy. And. Annabeth. Oh. My. Gods.

-The fake accent??? Where did that come from?? I had to rewind twice just to make sure I heard right. Like what in Percy’s mind told him to do that? What wires crossed or came undone? How far had that poison reached? Because that was so unserious and I fell even more in love with his character

-He likeeeeeeeeeeees her

-Annabeth’s smile!! I’ve been waiting to see her smile like that and it was so cool to see! My girl is finally happy! for a second

-“You’ve done more for me in the past two days…” “If I had to pick someone, I’d…”

-Plot twist: (again) Percy is not fine

-The splashing water was so funny. Like I get why but come on that was something else.

-Percy seeing what Annabeth has already sacrificed for him and his quest: her relationship with her mother. He sees what he has already cost her and what helping him means to her and omg it was heartbreaking

-One thing I absolutely adore about the books is that Annabeth’s intelligence is never in doubt by the reader. It’s not Percy or other characters saying she’s smart again and again with no proof. It’s not the narrative shoving the fact that she is smart in your face over and over. She proves she is smart. She proves she is inventive and strategic and intelligent by her actions and thought process and it’s almost never mentioned verbally. That whole idea of show vs tell? It’s perfectly shown through Annabeth acting intelligent instead of people talking about how intelligent she is.

Like how she splashed Percy with water or pulled the fire alarm. The viewers are shown she is smart, not just told.

-Annabeth’s willingness to sacrifice herself for her friends. Her only caring about Percy being poisoned, bot the monsters, and helping him. She knew she would die going up against the Chimera, even calls it the “demigod killer”, yet she does it anyway so her friends can succeed. She opened up to these boys and now she was giving her life for them

-Percy doing the same. Exact. Thing. The trick with the sword. The whispered words against the door, even as they shouted at him to open it. He knew for sure he would die and wanted it to be for a good cause. He didn’t even know if he could fight the chimera, but it was better him than Annabeth

-That boy looked so sick someone please help him

-oh, someone did.

-Dude I told my dad about the whole “Rick not knowing the River wasn’t right under the arc” thing and I was so excited to see how they did that and honestly it worked. Poseidon’s first way of helping Percy was by pulling him into the water, showing him to “just breathe”. My dad laughed when we watched it.

-oh I forgot! I love the first scene with Sally. Had some ptsd from swimming lessons but got to see young Percy so it was worth it

-Also the fall was shot so cool. I felt like I was falling with him

-He can breathe underwater! We knew this! But it’s still awesome!

I can’t even wrap my head around next episode. We are going to be fed so well after this short-ass episode and I am so ready. This episode already gave more Percabeth than I was expecting all season and I wanted to cry it was so adorable. This show is the only thing getting me through each week.

however, i remember that it's my civic duty to provide a rundown.

I love fucking about with chronology in short fics and am never usually brave enough to do it in long fics. But it works so well here!

I've been trying to learn more about this anime called Oh My Goddess, but it's surprisingly hard to find episodes of it online. Have you heard of it by any chance?

One time when I was like twelve or thirteen years old, I was staying over at my cousin Jon's apartment. He and his friends were watching an episode of Oh My Goddess on their TV.

I just realized I should probably recommend Romantic Killer to you. It's my favorite anime of all time, and despite being marketed as a romantic comedy anime it is actually pretty much exclusively about friendship. It also has an aroallo female protagonist, Anzu Hoshino. She's "not canonically aroallo" in the sense that they never SAY she's aroallo, but she is openly uninterested in romance or relationships and she's shown having sexual attraction onscreen. (A lot of people see her as aroace for some reason, but I'm willing to chalk that up to Tumblr-typical erasure of non-ace aros.)

The plot can seem a little iffy at first because it centers around Anzu's life being "turned into a dating sim" by a wizard named Riri. The wizard company Riri works for is experimenting with a new program designed to restore Japan's declining birth rate by helping people fall in love and Anzu is essentially patient zero. I was a little leery about this because it seemed like it could easily turn out overly amatonormative, heteronormative, and misogynistic. But Anzu decides almost immediately that she isn't going to play along with Riri's nonsense no matter what, and she keeps that attitude up until the end of the show. Riri and their company are portrayed as being in the wrong for overriding people's autonomy, and Anzu is only ever rewarded for her dedication to singleness and prioritizing friendship.

The show is very funny (I especially appreciated the visual gags; I actually think this show contains some of the most effective physical comedy in animation) but it's also extremely heartfelt when it wants to be. The characters all feel very real, and there's one in particular who has my favorite depiction of PTSD... possibly ever? It's very dear to my heart. I actually cried during some of the episodes towards the end of the show because it was so true to life. And I very rarely cry from sad things in fiction!

Anyway, that's all I had to say. If you do decide to watch it, it's a pretty small time investment all things considered as it only has twelve episodes. They also go by extremely fast IMO because the characters are so immediately compelling and the comedy of the show is so good. I think you'd really enjoy it!

I know he sang in the winter episode, but The fact that Leo is a good singer makes my idea of Leo singing protest songs against Draxum even more possible. In castelvania nocturne there is a speech about how music has been so important in the revolutions, and since then I haven't stopped thinking about it.

Just checked and the last time in was on Broadway was 2016, so the twins would have been about twelve. Which I think is around the age I was when I saw it live for the first time, and I was definitely too young to really appreciate it. (I know there's a bazillion theaters in NYC that aren't Broadway but come on they don't pay for tickets why would they not go to a Broadway show if they're going to the theater?) Splinter would go fucking feral over Les Mis too, Donnie and Leo would be all sparkly eyed and Splinter would just be sobbing.

Leo and Donnie are absolutely those theater kids though. They sing duets and will perform full musical numbers at the drop of a hat. In a human or raised in the Hidden City AU they'd take voice lessons and would take every opportunity to mention that they take voice lessons and sing. Loudly.

If this fic had a more comedic edge to it I'd have Leo challenge Draxum to a rap battle. And Draxum would either A) refuse to partake because he finds it ridiculous, or B) completely misunderstand the whole concept and be enraged when Leo is declared the winner by default.

I can't write rap though, I'm terrible at rhymes or rhythm. I had to take a poetry class for college and it was the bane of my existence. I hate writing poetry. No shade to people who like it, I love reading other people's poetry. Just not my thing.
