Nova, Ghost Wraith (Mixed Wraith AU)

The Ghost Wraith is a Mixed Wraith, the mix of a Chloroform Wraith and Honey Wraith. These Wraiths are like you took the Water Wraith, removed its legs, gave it a ghost tail, and dyed it a semi-dark grey blue. That’s what a ghost Wraith pretty much looks like. It also melts all the time, but none of the Wraith’s matter will ever fall, it just looks like it will. 

It has a glow that will indicate when it is/isn’t visible. If you see the glow, that means you can see the Wraith. If you can’t, then you can’t. It’s practically a ghost. It can phase through walls, turn invisible, and if it does touch you, invisible or not, it will give the creature a sense of happiness and comfort. Like “everything will be okay” kind of feelings. Therapy Ghost basically.

Ghost Wraiths, when visible, can be touched and moved like a regular creature by everyone but itself. When it’s invisible though, it can’t be touched. No matter what though, the Ghost Wraith will phase through anything it touches. When visible, it’s senses tend to heighten and when that happens, they become very sensitive to noise, often becoming overwhelmed from the noise around them (or people). This tends to force people to talk softly when it’s visible, as not to distress the Wraith. Going invisible lowers the senses to their regular level.

Depending on the personalities of the Chloroform and Honey Wraiths, they might fight from time to time. If the two created a combined consciousness, and they fight, the consciousness is kicked out of control and one or both of them take over. If it gets too unstable, or the Core is broken in half, then the two Wraiths will split up, leaving behind their Ghost Wraith form. 

These Wraiths are not affected by Lumiknolls, and is a Type 2 Mixed Wraith.

Nova is the seventh member to become a Wraith and is the last to be found. Nova dies. Like alone, and afraid, she bleeds out to death. A Chloroform Wraith finds her, and realizes she’s dead. He drags over his friend, a Honey Wraith, and convinces him to help bring her back. So, Nova becomes a Mixed Wraith of the two consciousness, losing her own mind in the process.

They try to keep everything of her old mind, but there wasn't much the two Wraiths can do. They managed to save her memories of her crew and friends. They couldn’t save anything relating to herself though. Most times, Nova spends her time invisible, hanging around Olimar or Shepherd to give them support

No really, her backstory is not all too complicated, unlike some people (COUGH, AERO, COUGH)

Nova personality wise is one of those silent characters. She's very shy, and hates to be seen, which is why it takes SO DAMN LONG for the crew to find her. She's a silent type, and doesn't like to talk, and when she does, it's very quiet. She's also scared of pretty much everyone on the crew, aside from Shepherd. Though she does hate to see people cry, and will hug them until they feel better. When Nova does get her memories back, she actually doesn't get her original personality back, as the memories relating to that are gone for good. She does remember the crew and her friends though.

The other two Wraiths that make her up are also cute. The Chloroform Wraith or as they call themselves, Care, is a very hyper active Wraith. They often like to watch the crew do stuff, and are a bit happy to see them do their thing. The Honey Wraith, or as they call themselves, Comfort, is a very down to earth Wraith. They will pull back Care when they are too much. They also are the most talkative of the three, often making conversation with the other crew to learn more about them.

By the way, if you were wondering how Dingo and Nova would get home if they phase through the ship, the answer is Wraith coats! It’s what Dingo has. It’s basically a coat made by other Wraiths in order to let Gas Wraiths touch stuff. This also makes it so that Gas Wraiths can’t phase through the coat. Pom finds a coat for Nova after a day of looking, and everyone is allowed to go home.
