I think Mulder would try eating Kosher for a month or two as part of preparation for his Bar Mitzvah (for the vibes you know)

He seems like the type to try stuff out that he finds interesting and really dig into the research and history surrounding it! So I drew some of the meals he might have during this time :3c

I have an idea for a sort of silly light novel writing project I'll probably never actually write but is fun to just think about

But like. Cultivator set up, wuxia world w a slight blending of different cultivation genres, a guy wakes up in a forest with amnesia. (Wow classic I know)

So the first few chapters he's hearing about all these big famous people who have gone missing over the years, right? And he (along with probably the reader) is like, "Heh. That could be me,,," (smugly)

But the names keep piling on, and he comes to a realization: important and unimportant cultivators alike go missing and lose their memories or whatever else at an alarming rate. He is not special. (Coughs up blood)

He probably runs into other amnesiacs more than once, and I'd have a running theme of like, he keeps bumping into main character coded characters just left and right. There's so much happening in this world, so many stories being told, he's really not special. But also he is bc hes our main character

But just like silly mostly self contained stories told from this guy just wandering around this absoloute cluster fuck of a world, often running head first into really interesting stories that are clearly like in the middle of a 5 arc novel their own

It'd probably gain a real central narrative along the way like all things inevitably do (the mystery of how he lost his memories and the fall out of what happens when he learns the truth) but for now I have fun just thinking ab his dumb adventures

As for the character himself, hes is like, obnoxiously laid back. SUPER chill, takes everything with a sigh and a smile, very lazy, takes a lot of shortcuts and goes "Ah but that's fine, right?" As everything explodes around him. If he's alive, then all is well in the world 👍

He'd cause so many problems just because and also probably have absolutely shit luck that gets him into even more problems (my favorite genre of character)

I also have like. A slowly but surley growing list of characters he'd run into like uhh [checks notes] evil lesbian mirror demon and the very angry woman she trapped in a mirror and stole the face and life of (the demon hate sex goes crazy).

And also ofc, "person trapped in a cycle of reincarnation with a curse that no matter how hard they try to be good, they will inevitably cause some great destruction or evil or plague of some kind." And just them very very desperately trying to be good even though they know it's futile

Some batfam doodles set in my TrWh au, with a bit of a focus on Stephanie Brown!

The first pic with Arthur trying to make Steph his sidekick (probably inspired by Bluejay Jason following Robin around) is kinda meant to be an explanation on why Steph becomes spoiler so early in this comic. While explanations are not really needed because my au focuses on comedy and cuteness, I thought this would just be a little fun bit of background info on Steph and her father Arthur Brown in this au. The pointer name comes from the cw Batwoman show, where Steph is a redhead for some reason.

Also we see that Steph often goes to sleepovers with the other batkids, tho she's really having fun being Starling. I think in another post I was thinking on how to work around the issue of Steph being a 8 year old vigilante without her mom finding out, I even considered the possibility of Bruce somehow fostering her. But I decided that just do the classical superhero identity shenanigans is all I need to do.

Also don't worry about Jason and Cass being tossed, they're having fun there! Kids love being tossed like ragdolls, I should know as the eldest sister myself lol.

Next pic has Steph and Cass switch roles for a bit with Steph being a mini batgirl as 'Batlass', a name I considered for Cass. And Cass is a mini robin as Blackbird, aren't they cute?

Little gag comic with Barbara shrinking into a kid, Steph and Cass look shocked to say the least. Lori Zechlin with often play magical pranks on other superheroes, its can end up pretty chaotic.

More batfam doodles, look at Steph, she's such a little creature!

Lastly a glimpse in a possible future in the TrWh world, with Steph as Batgirl at last with Nell Little as her protege Starling! Perhaps she might have also use the Spoiler moniker as well too. We also see Damian and Tiffany Fox hang out as well, also Cass (as batman?) seems to be mentoring Maps Mizoguchi. Tho I haven't really thought about the details that much, just something fun to draw. Oh, theres also Carrie Kelley but she likely doesn't exist in my au, just felt like drawing her.

Request: A fox mulder and reader where she fires a gun for the first time in defence and is totally upset and shaken up by it. She'd been given one as a safety measure and she has to use it. maybe shes the secretary and theres an attack there? something residing in his and scullys office - Anon

“We're heading out to grab something to eat. Want anything?” Mulder’s voice was smooth as he spoke to you from across your desk.

You smiled and lowered the papers in your hand “I'm ok today. I actually managed to pack a lunch.” 

The man smiled “Alright, see you in a bit Y/N.” He turned and made his way to Scully who'd been hovering in the doorway watching, and smiling, at the interaction between the two of you. 

As soon as the door closed behind Mulder she let out a small laugh as they walked to the exit “Are you going to actually ask Y/N on a date soon or are you going to carry on pining for each other?”

The man let out a small laugh of his own “I'm not sure she entirely likes me back.”

“Oh come on. She does. Trust me.” she walked ahead of the man as the corridor got busier.

Mulder pondered what Scully had said and he could feel heat rising to his face. Before they'd even managed to leave the building he'd promised himself he'd ask you out by the end of the day. 

Lunch moved slowly. You’d been picking on your lunch gradually and looking through paperwork and notes for Mulder and Scully. You'd been hired by Skinner a couple of years ago and mainly focussed on research for him. You'd got to know Mulder and Scully pretty early on but only in the past year had you specifically been tasked with doing research for them. 

You'd been on one trip with the pair and that was a couple of months ago. You wouldn't say it was your most favourite thing in the world but you’d go again if given the opportunity. 

You heard movement outside of your office door and saw figures pass the glass. Knowing not many people came down this way often you assumed Mulder and Scully had returned from lunch. 

Picking up the pile of useful notes you exited your office and made your way to Mulder’s.

You gave a quick knock on the door before letting yourself in. “I've managed to find some-” You cut yourself off. The room was significantly colder than you ever remember it being and darker. Your friends definitely weren't back from Lunch yet.

You froze on the spot and were unable to move. Clutching the papers in your hands you listened to the room around you, it was almost as if you could hear the air in the room.

Sufficiently spooked you took another step into the room and took a deep breath. Moving to his desk you placed down the papers and reached for the lamp.

What you didn't expect to see was a hand move over yours as you went to turn on the lamp. Pulling backwards instantaneously you stumbled backwards and came into contact with something firm. There was definitely not a wall that close behind you. 

Stepping forward you frantically looked around the room to see nothing. Freaking out you reached for your gun. You'd been given it as protection before the first trip with Mulder and Scully and had kept it since. Wise considering the type of people the two often came across.

Your fingers brushed the weapon as you continued to search the room frantically. Diving forward you switched on the lamp to give even a morsel of light.

You felt something grab your ankle and begin to pull. The motion entirely throwing you off balance and dragging you to the ground. You tried to kick out of the grip but there was no chance. 

you caught glimpses of the figure. Not many features were distinguishable but the teeth, and smile, were unforgettable. 

Reaching again for your gun you swiftly removed the safety and fired shots in the direction of the figure. Squeezing your eyes closed you dropped the gun and cowered backwards away from its grip.

Mulder and Scully had heard the first shot and instantly began to run towards the sound, unknowing of what would be on the other end. Mulder burst through the door as you fired the final shot and watched as a figure relaxed on the floor and you huddled into yourself. The room seemed to get brighter and the temperature increased to a normal level in a split second. Mulder dropped the bag he'd been holding and dived instinctively to his knees beside you as Scully called for help and assessed the other form in the room.

“Y/N what happened?” the man's eyes explored you for any injuries quickly.

You brought your head up and looked at the man, tears instantly welling up. “I- I came down to talk to you about some notes.” you rushed out “it was cold and dark… I went to turn on a light but… someone was here… he grabbed me… pulled me down.”

He could see that you were getting more and more distraught as you spoke. The man reached out his hand to your arm to reassure you. The moment he did so your tears broke through their barrier and would not stop falling. 

You began to sob and were entirely incoherent. Mulder’s only instinct was to pull you into him. 

He wrapped his arms around you and held you close. He rested his chin on top of your head “It's ok. I'm here now. You're safe.” he reassured.

You nodded against him and tried to ebb your tears, knowing others were probably in the room by now. Pulling away you wiped your tears “Thank you.” you whispered.

Going to stand the man beat you to it and offered you his hand. Accepting you allowed him to help you to your feet. “I’m going to my office.”

“Someone should really check you’re-” Scully started before Mulder gave her a small, yet certain, shake of his head.

You walked down the corridor and allowed autopilot to take you back to your office. Upon getting there you made a B line for your chair and flopped into it. Grabbing your bottle you took a sip of water as Mulder came in through the door, a small bag in his hand.

“I got you this. I was hoping I could give it to you under better circumstances but you probably need it more now.”

You took the bag from the man and felt your insides get a little lighter. Opening the bag you were faced with a cookie. “Thank you.”

“No problem.” the man hesitated for a second before taking a seat across from you. 

The man kept you distracted and got you talking. You were soon called into Skinner's office to make an official report on the incident before returning to your office. Mulder was still sat in the chair across from your desk unmoved. 

You gave him a smile and began to pack up your things “Skinner said I could go home early.”

Mulder glanced at the clock and scoffed “It's half an hour before your scheduled end time, as if he's actually being generous.”

You shrugged “I'll take it either way.” 

“Will you be alright alone?” the mans words were sincere and full of concern

Your eyes met his and you could see the emotion behind them but couldn't bring yourself to answer his question, were you to lie and say yes? 

“I know how difficult something like this can be. Especially the first time.” his eyes left yours before returning.

“I think being alone is unwise” you admitted, pulling your eyes back to your bag “Don't feel like you have to-”

“Anything Y/N, I can come to yours or you to mine I don't mind.” 

“Mine? I'd like home comforts.” you began to move around your desk towards him. The man agreed and you were soon on your way back to yours. 

Grabbing all the snacks you could from the cupboards you made your way over to the sofa and placed the snacks you’d gathered onto the coffee table. Sitting next to the man you pulled a blanket over yourself. In the time it’d taken you to change into pyjamas and grab the snacks the man had also changed into the comfy clothes he kept in the back of his car and chosen something to watch on TV.

“I’m sorry this isn’t proper food.” you gestured to the snacks.

The man waved you off “It’s alright, something’s better than nothing.” he shifted himself so he was angled more towards you, his knees touching yours. “Actually, on the topic of food.” 

“Yeah?” you looked at the man.

“How about we go and get a nice dinner sometime? I know you haven’t had a great day but I promised myself I’d ask today.”

Your brain stuttered for a moment “dinner?”

“Like a date” his eyes softened as he clarified what he meant.

You searched his face as a smile found your lips “That would be nice.”

“Good.” he smiled and settled back into the sofa.

Taking a risk you moved to be closer to the man, to your delight he stretched his arm around you. Feeling your chest flip for a moment you trained your eyes on the TV.

“What’ve you picked?” you questioned as the adverts rolled.

“It’s one of those bad reality shows about cops.” he put emphasis around the word reality “It’s bound to be amazing.” he said sarcastically.

You laughed at his remark “There’s nothing I love more than bad TV.”

The two of you relaxed further, content in the knowledge you felt the same way for each other.

The day had been long but you were thankful that you had someone as caring as Mulder to distract you.

playful land really gives me the chills theres something really eerie and creepy seeing the guys make their way through the park and having them sacrifice one another to get them to ernesto, yikes. when i first watched the translations i though like oh shit this feels very apocalyptic and i had actual chill down my spine watching the playthrough. the whole flesh turning to wood thing too, double yikes its really dark here. i think having played through glomas, this one freaked me out more like eeeyikes

I definitely feel like Playful Land ups the scare factor. In GloMasq, the threat really only applied to mages, and it's hard for us, the players, to get a sense for how horrific and life-changing that is since we don't use magic ourselves. In Playful Land, we're literally all going to be sold off as puppets through a crime ring 💀 which is frighteningly darker and unfortunately more or a "real" horror.

An amusement park is such a good setting for this. No one really notices how scary they can be at night. I MEAN JUST LOOK AT THESE COMPARISON IMAGES... THAT FOX FACE BECOMES TOTALLY CREEPY...

And normally your instincts tell you to stay in the lit up parts of the park, right??? But in this case, you can't because then you're a sitting duck for the puppets on the prowl for you. That forces you to sneak around in the dark, which obscures your field of vision and draws out our fear of the unknown and that which we cannot see. AND you have no signal?? AND the walls are too high to scale, thereby locking you inside?? It works so well together.

Locus is genuinely the hardest one to place and i dont think he’d come up with a fursona for himself, but he gets assigned wolf by Donut i feel it, the whole lone wolf thing he has going and all during his redemption! An argument could be made for another working dog (HELLO German Shepards my god) (context here: i had a german shepard/corgi mix, he was my lil guy, he was too damn smart for his own good and patrolled the back yard fence up until he couldnt keep his hips underneath himself anymore and then! He! kept! trying! So yes that does influence my input on german shepard locus) i just struggle to see locus as a dog???? Felix wouldve loved the energy of being like the lucky cat with nine lives. I personally dont care for felix, but he would be that guy with like, its not a proper fursona bc he wouldnt b caught dead calling it that, but he has a fursona for scamming people and driving up the prices on auctions for no reason other than to fuck with people when he's bored. Dr Emily Grey does not have a fursona but she does think theyre neat and has let her patients all give her one, tho none of them agree on what she is. I think she's a shrike, specifically a great grey shrike! they're VICIOUS little birds, who dont look like much but they regularly hunt shit twice their size and are also known for impaling bugs on thorns and like, barbed wire?? theyre neat, and technically i think they count as corvids? clever little hunting machines

Kimball is definitely a german shepard tho like while im on the fence about it for Locus, there is no question about it for her she checks the boxes fits the vibe right down to the way she guards the new republic and chorus with her heart just under her sleeve
