Mini Modern Warfare Rant
Tumblr media
The biggest plot hole (if you wanna call it that I suppose) from the original MW3 that bugs me the most is during Blood Brothers where Yuri, Soap and Price head to Prague to meet up with Kamarov and the rest of the resistance to try and take down Makarov
Obviously this fails and Soap ends up dying
Yuri and Soap should have immediately noticed the C-4 or whatever bomb was planted up in that room with them in the church. There was absolutely NO WAY they could have missed it, as Soap was literally two feet from one when you see them start to flash and beep when Makarov activates them.
As much as I love the OG Modern Warfare games, the plot holes they have are quite silly.
Like, it's stated MULTIPLE times throughout MW2 that the man Makarov hates the most is Prisoner 6-2-7, who you have to go and snag from the Gulag....which ends up being Captain Price. Makarov KNEW that this man and Soap were the only people that was somewhat capable in taking him out.
So why on God's green Earth did this man decide to help out his worst enemy to rat out Shepherd's location? He knew Shepherd was gonna kill Price and the rest of TF141, so why not just let it happen?
I guess you could make the argument that he knew Shepherd was after him as well, but Makarov also had proof that could tie Shepherd back to the Zakhaev International attack and just blackmail him to NOT come after him unless Shepherd wanted his whole "war hero" image to be burned away
Firmly believe Makarov would have ended up winning (at least succeeded in his goal of eliminating Price and Soap) if he hadn't given Price Shepherd's location and instead gave him a fake ass location during "Enemy of my Enemy" before letting Shepherd know so he could finish up tying his loose ends. Then he could have turned right around in giving the US the information that tied Shepherd with the terrorist attack that started WW3, which would have put Shepherd behind bars or even give him the death penalty.
And yeah, I know there's still the whole thing with Yuri but like....who would he have turned to if Price and Soap had died at the end of MW2? I wonder if Yuri would have went to Kamarov and the resistance instead and how that would have turned out.

I'm reading og Soap's journal again
And I brought some parts
Tumblr media
Soap's training memo
When you play first mw series, you gonna run this course as soap. He sketched it and made plans for getting faster
Beat Gaz
Tumblr media
He was bitten by russian dog. And he didn't tell Price or Gaz about it
a goddamn dog is what'll get me into an infirmary? Rabies, ridiculous. What a waste of time. Obviously can't tell Price or Gaz. Nikolai seems capable of keeping a secret.
Tumblr media
how the hell did a scrawny Russian on a vodka/borscht diet outrun me?
He was pissed lol
Spoiler
Tumblr media
loose too many people
nothing can erase losing Griggs, Gaz, Mac. And of course Price. The one image I can't shake is Zakhaev's body laying there next to Gaz's. saw their blood begin to pool. The two reds blending, wish like hell I could've dragged Zakhaev by his one arm. Off of Gaz. Over the bridge. Out of my mind.
Tumblr media
He was in hostipal with morphine attached. Lived in daze.
He kept himself focused on to get better. Above is his daily workout
So I carry Price's pistol. Focus on disassembling it, cleaning it. I obsess over every scratch.

Yo, how do you think a Makarov-Nikto interaction would go? Random thought since MWIII has them both in KorTac (Mostly referring to as if it was OG Makarov, considering he was mentored directly by Zakhaev. And just because I have Very Strong feelings about the reboot)
Difficult one bc it's extremely contextual to be able to answer properly imo. If it's OG Makarov, he probably doesn't care much about Victor's whereabouts, since he's mostly dealing with Imran Zakhaev. and Victor is just... his dad's son, at this point. so it's hard to tie everything together with Nikto's backstory with (reboot) Victor.
If removed from context entirely, I honestly think a Makarov-Nikto interaction would be just... Professional? But wary. Tense. esp. if they're doing arms/intelligence deals or the likes. OG Makarov is cunning, opportunistic and manipulative, AND very smart. I feel like he'd immediately see that Nikto is equally as smart and trained to manipulate. Nikto wouldn't be able to put one over him easily. Picture two sharks circling around each other with no ill intent but Watch Out

Hello, Sleppy! There is one thing I have always wanted to know about Jade but did not dare ask. Tell me, please, what happened to Jade and Simon in the original CoD universe? I saw a sketch of crying Jade, was it her reaction to Simon's death or in your universe he managed to survive? P.S. - I am sorry if you do not like this question at all.
Okay so since I rarely post about the OG!MW2 anymore, I'm just gonna reveal the whole plot to you guys (ʘ ͜ʖ ʘ)
Be ready cuz this is kinda long - these are the canon divergence that I constructed in the events that my OC's are inserted into the OG!MW2 plot.
So, Jade was actually sent by the MI6 to track down what actually happened that made Russia attack US out of nowhere. Because that Zakhaev Airport massacre sounded and looked FISHY as HECK. Being the MI6 she was, Jade had to report regularly to her handler in MI6 (141 didn’t know this. It’s her personal gig). She met Soap Ghost and Roach there, but her first meeting with Ghost was bad and blab la blaaa SHE OPENED GHOST'S MASK. She also met Ellie (another OC I had for Gaz who’s a medical corps leader in 141. Gaz died in the OG!MW, she was still saddened but she’s very glad to have Jade in the base).
There’s also another OC that I have named Bara. He’s a lone Indonesian Denjaka sniper lieutenant that got sent by the country to capture an Indo defector among Makarov’s cause. Because of political reasons, he’s not a 141. Bara’s like an ally that pop out sometime somewhere like a spirit. 141 themselves were still very suspicious of him, but when Bara saved Meat and Royce in Rio, he gained their trust, and 141 would help him find the defector as Bara would help them on their missions.
Now, sometime in the middle, Jade was captured by Makarov and got tortured by him. Jade intentionally didn’t escape and held the pain in to gain some info herself from anyone inside the room or from Makarov himself. And that’s where the (How about you check who you surround yourself with) and Jade’s gears started turning inside her brain. She released herself and ran amok around Mak’s place, and found some data about “anonymous source” that said there’ s mole among Makarov’s group in the massacre (we know it is Joseph Allen) and she SENT THAT STRAIGHT to MI6. Ghost and the boys found the compound and rescued a badly injured Jade.
So like, along the story, Jade found bits and pieces, put two and two together, and by the end, Jade’s 90% sure that Shepherd’s onto something shitty.
NOW HERE’S THE CANON DIVERGENCE IN LOOSE ENDS MISSION.
As Jade, Roach, and Ghost went to Makarov’s base at the Georgian-Russian border, Jade actually took the time to read the posts, notes, and all the info that were sticked to the boards, tables, and walls. In fact, as Ghost and Roach was busy fighting off Makarov’s goons, Jade READ that shit (because at that point she didn’t trust Shepherd AT ALL).
And you guessed it, she found out that Shepherd is the mastermind behind every damn thing.
So when Roach transferred the data to the DSM, she did her magic and unbeknownst to everyone, she SENT ALL the proof to MI6 on the spot.
Jade then told Ghost and Roach about everything, and they did NOT trust Shepherd anymore. So when the general told them to go the fields, they declined and decided to hold the fort inside the house. Shepherd knew something was wrong, so when he kept pressing the three to get out of the house, but again, the three didn’t oblige, the general and the shadows decided to finally go to the house.
Shepherd and the Shadows cleared the whole area from enemies and tried to find Ghost, Roach, Jade, and the others in the house. One by one, the SC people got killed with stealth. Things led to another, and chaos ensued inside the house. Shepherd could’ve burnt down the house with the 141 in it, but Shepherd’s paranoid that Jade had done something, and he NEEDED that DSM.
Shootout happened, and Jade got one of the SC as a shield with a gun to his head. Shepherd told Jade to give him the DSM, and convo happened, Shepherd finally revealed his motives. And now he had to get rid of the three of them.
AND THEN, MI6 contacted Jade, saying that the proof about Shepherd’s doing had gone public. The whole thing was his doing all long, and now the world had turned all their forces towards finding Shepherd. Russia, US, now began their search on Shepherd! WOOHOO
Panicked, Shepherd yelled at SC as reinforcements came, along with Price and Soap who came straight fom Kazakhstan to the place, Meat and Royce (who survived Rio), Archer and Toad, everyone came to help.
CLIMAX ENSUED, and Ghost got shot twice protecting Jade from Shepherd’s bullets.
As Jade held Ghost on her arms, Price and Soap, with Nikolai’s help, chased Shepherd who’s desperately tried to escape and killed him. Minus the Soap getting stabbed.
Don’t worry, Ghost survived because ELLIE WILL NOT let him leave Jade like Gaz left her too fast. So Ghost survived WOOHOOO.
The Jade crying sketch was, indeed, a cry of relief as Ellie told her that Ghost was going to be fine (❁´◡`❁). She wore Ghost's jacket to comfort herself during the times Ghost was unconscious, and this sketch came out!
Everybody lives, no WW3, no MW3. This is REAL MOVIE ASS SHIT but it’s what’s in my mind!
I have the whole ass fic about the post-Loose Ends angst at the ready if y'all want it.

"What if Perseus is Makarov's father??" I said, jokingly.
And so begins my quest of finding whether or not how logical this theory could be.
And well...
I don't think it's a joke anymore lmao.
It really is unsettling how truly similar they are.
In certain ways.
Before we begin, let's clarify something here.
Since AV de-aged reboot Makarov, this theory only make sense if you pair Perseus with the OG Makarov. Why? Because Perseus died of cancer in 1983.
Since we have yet to know how old is the new Makarov, I'm gonna assumed he's around Price's age. At least I hope so. Idk how I'm gonna feel if they decides to make him late 20s. He's gotta be born either in 1985 or younger than that. At least that's what he looks like. So, there's no way Perseus could be his father.
Now, the OG Makarov though......
Let's go through this points by points.
He was born in 1970. October 4th, to be precise (at least according to Soap's journal). There's no indication or mentioned siblings in his record. Parents or whatsoever. I have my own personal HC on this but that's another essay.
Perseus himself doesn't have any canon date of birth and place of birth. Let's assume he was born in, maybe, around the year of 1918. I was gonna go ahead and make him the same age as Adler (1937). But according to this modelling mugshot pose he pulls photo,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If he looks this scrumptious old during 1960, then he's gotta be at least 42 years old. That would make him 52 when baby Mak was born in 1970.
"Isn't he a little old to be a dad at that age?" Uhhh not really. Especially given his situation, my dude was constantly on the move busy doing spy shit all over the world. He was young, patriotic. So, perhaps domestic life wasn't exactly on his mind at the time being or just haven't found the one yet. My guess is, he found someone in 1968/1969 yada yada fall in love yada yada get married yada yada and boom baby Mak was born in 1970. Whether they settled for one kid or more, that's up to your interpretation.
Now, in terms of looks, I don't think they're exactly copy paste. We know that Mak has Heterochromia. Perseus had blue eyes and Makarov's mama must've had green eyes.
If we want to compare their pictures, let's start with in-game model.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ehhh I'd say they score about 75-80% in terms of appearance alikeness. Big ass forehead? Check ️
Now, if you put Perseus real life model and Makarov MW3 model..
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah okay score about 95%. Especially the eyebrow scrunch thing.
Perseus was 6 ft'2. Our boi on the other hand was 5 ft'11. My dude did not inherit the tall genes unfortunately.
Perseus and Makarov both had comradeship with Imran Zakhaev.
Zakhaev looked up to Perseus, claiming him to be "a mentor, having played a part in radicalizing his attitude towards the West."
As for Makarov, we know how much he looked up to Zakhaev. He did took him in during the lowest point of his life and gave him a purpose. Something he lost when he was forced to discharge from the military. Zakhaev's protégé. Zakhaev's executioner.
However, Perseus and Mak share one common trait; their methods were frowned upon by Zakhaev.
"Imran, however, soon realized the danger of Perseus's ideas. Believing Perseus's actions would turn the world against the Soviet Union, he prevented Perseus from taking control of a facility in Verdansk, where a chemical agent called NOVA-4 was produced."
"While Zakhaev was grateful to Makarov for saving his life on the day of his assassination attempt, he also kept him in check, possibly due to the fear of Makarov's extreme methods and ambitions, which later proved correct."
It boggles my mind that Zakhaev have the patience to continously kept Makarov's in check for 15 years of their partnership. He's aware of how terrifyingly brutal he is and even though it clearly bothered him, he still kept him around.
This is one of the key points that makes me wonder if Makarov is not just a nobody that he picked off the underworld. Maybe him being Perseus's son is what drives Zakhaev to mentor him and stick with it till the end. Well, at least as long as he could control him. I had no doubt that if Makarov push Zakhaev too far and shows signs of being too out of control, he'll be dead way before Price could wrung his neck.
Speaking of methods,
"Perseus' true plan was to detonate all the American nukes across Europe and have the United States take the fall. Perseus wanted to rebuild Russia from the ashes."
"Makarov's scheme was to initiate the global conflict of World War III, and that was accomplished by massacring a Russian airport and making it look like the US was involved. Later on, he would attempt to nuke all of Europe for Russia to fully invade and rebuild from the ashes."
See the resemblance?
Their speech pattern really parallel each other;
Perseus: Today, we reshape the world.
Makarov: Today, we show the world our true strength.
Perseus: Our motherland is lead by cowards and weaklings.
Makarov: Now our country is run by squabbling lackeys and politicians who can hardly be called patriots.
Perseus: The superpowers will fall, victims of their own greed and corruption.
Makarov: The corrupt talk; while our brothers and sons spill their own blood.
Perseus: We will rebuild Greater Russia from the ashes.
Makarov: Russia will take all of Europe, even if it must stand upon a pile of ashes.
Perseus: They sleep soundly at night, knowing they put on a good parade - but they lack the will to do what must be done.
Makarov: Our enemies believe that they alone dictate the course of history, but all it takes is the will of a single man.
Perseus: The others, however, are still out there. I will finish them off if I have to.
Makarov: I will not rest until I have killed or captured the men who killed Imran Zakhaev.
Perseus: (to Bell) You remember my face don't you?
Makarov: (to Vorshevsky) You know who I am?
Perseus: But have no doubt. These are but temporary losses. We are just getting started, my friend.
Makarov: The road to our future begins here, my friend.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So in conclusion, it seems that the possibility of them being father and son is really plausible so far.

Oh my god do you have zakhaev headcanons
YEAH I DO.
nepo baby. nepo fucking baby. this is canon but i want it PUSHED MORE bc hes explicitly bad at what he plans but he has good connections that give his projects longevity. which is so fun to me i love a failure. he's very confident in his abilities though. he really believes he'll be able to match his father's influence. he Was raised to have many skills and for sure compared to the average person he's better equipped to do what he does but like. hes still behind like. makarov. price. shepherd even. GRAVES even. graves has better planning. okay shepherd might be pushing it they might b on the same level. speaking of i think makarov has genuine hatred for him. i think the admiration he has for imran is so deep and he's so like embarrassed For him that Victor is his son. victor is cringe to him. i do not think he would hide this At all either hed very plainly be hateful to his face. makarov would consider himself the child imran Should have had.
cancelable sentence but i like that og killed himself. i like that reboot's death was a goofy ass "dying from falling down a hole" death. That's Him. someone who rides someome else's success and fame to die in a gruesomely pathetic way. and now in zombies he's this bumbling idiot that everyone hates. talking into the wind about "getting revenge" on price while drinking by himself. i do think there's parts of him that are aware he's flopping and he's probably like. very susceptible to spiraling. i don't think Imran was ever especially nice to him but loving in the way of giving him what he needs to succeed. feeling like he's squandered that would haunt him even thru his confidence. esp when he knows the only way to like "get" his (dead) father's approval is by completing his mission. lots of pressure!

#3 I’ll try to keep a tad shorter. In essence this is my Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II fix it+crossover with Uncharted.
WARNING-TALKS OF US INVASION AND OTHER GEOPOLITICAL STUFF. DO NOT CONTINUE IF THIS IS NOT YOUR THING.
I’m gonna chance a more explosive conflict/geopolitical poking point in this one with callbacks to OG MW trilogy. Latest chapter really begins in earnest the Ultranationalist-Al Qatala-Las Almas invasion of the southern US. Meanwhile chapter 5 began in earnest Farah’s, Alex’s, and Nadine Ross’s hunt for Hadir and Makarov in the Caucasus region.
Chapter 6 ocuses on the angle of the US invasion and its counter-insurgency at and behind enemy lines. A Reboot version of Ramirez, Foley, and Dunn is featured in a Battle of El Paso while as shown in 2022/II but with the needed changes of course, Alejandro-Soap-Ghost are in Las Almas on the hunt not for Hassan Zyani, but Reboot Khaled Al-Asad…all while Victor Zakhaev is now in partnership with “El Sin Nombre” with Al-Asad distracting 141/Los Vaqueros.
Chapter 6 contains COD’s usual strong language with brief racism, graphic violence with minor character deaths, and geopolitical sensitivity including mentions of cartels with references to IRL Mexican drug cartels+endos and references to Iran vs US.

Starting to see what you see in Yuri, he’s 👀
THAT’S WHAT I’VE BEEN SAYINGGGGGGG
AUGHHHHHHHHHH GOD I KNOW I’VE BEEN ON A MAKAROV KICK LATELY BUT I’M GONNA FUCKING COMBUST BESTIE I LOVE HIM SO MUCH
the way people don’t talk about him enough and ONLY mention him when talking about other characters. like fandom people PLEASE HE IS A CHARACTER OUTSIDE OF MAKAROV PLEASE PLEASE HE’S SO INTERESTING AND IF YOU JUST LOOK AT HIM YOU’LL UNDERSTAND
(i had to add a read more bc i went insane i’m so sorry 😭)
his entire backstory is so good. the original trilogy had like four pairs that all reflected each other and i’m so excited to ramble publicly about this instead of annoying my brother— like. okay. we all know that price-soap was THE duo of the OG games. but there’s also shepherd-allen, zakhaev-makarov, and makarov-yuri. HEAR ME OUT ON THIS.
price-soap is very much a mentor-mentee relationship. price basically took soap under his wing after the latter joined the SAS and helped him become the best of the best. this really reflects shepherd-allen and zakhaev-makarov, which are both darker adaptations of this duo. shepherd-allen involves someone “good” (allen) being manipulated and influenced by someone “bad” (shepherd) in order to achieve a goal. zakhaev-makarov is even darker, with someone “bad” (zakhaev) training someone (makarov) to become even worse, or, in their minds, the best of the best. it’s all in reverse.
makarov-yuri is a LITTLE bit different here, since the two are closer in age. they met sometime in 1994 or (more likely) 1995, when makarov was 24-25 and yuri was “young”, but old enough to be spetsnaz (likely ~22 years old). the two became friends because zakhaev liked yuri’s patriotism and loyalty to his country, so he and makarov welcomed him in with promises of “restoring russia’s glory” and all that bullshit that the ultranationalists preached y’know. still, makarov and yuri became close friends and yuri spent the next 16 or so years thinking he was doing right by his people and helping his country, ONLY TO FIND OUT WHEN MAKAROV NUKED 30,000 PEOPLE THAT OH?? WE’RE THE BAD GUYS???
most people think that yuri didn’t betray makarov until 2016, during the airport massacre/no russian. HOWEVER. soap’s journal (my beloved) mentions yuri a couple times, and one of those times soap says something along the lines of “nikolai vouches for him (yuri), says they go way back.”
nikolai was literally introduced as an ultranationalist informant. it’s completely possible, if not LIKELY, that the two met while nik was undercover, and that after the nuke (which happened after nik was compromised), yuri got into contact with him. yuri says in his flashback sequence that the nuke was when he realized “this wasn’t war, it was madness” and i’m just like… y’all really thought a man saying that was gonna be chill for the next five years? i’m convinced he was feeding nikolai information, and the reason why makarov didn’t confront him until the airport massacre was because makarov trusted him, so he didn’t discover the betrayal until then.
HE’S SO COMPLICATED OKAY HE THOUGHT HE WAS DOING SOMETHING RIGHT ONLY TO DISCOVER THAT HE WAS IN THE WRONG AND THAT HE HAD TO FIX THE MISTAKES HE MADE. like, when he’s introduced in MW3, nikolai straight up tells price that yuri’s the only person that hates makarov more than he does. most of that hatred is DEFINITELY yuri feeling betrayed by the person he was closest with, but i’m willing to bet part of that anger was his own self-hatred for what he had done. it’s easier to project it onto someone else, to find someone easy to blame for his own mistakes. he WAS manipulated and lied to. however, he was still responsible for his own actions. makarov never forced his hand, yuri made his choices.
i could say more. his tattoos give so much info. the fact that he even ended up in that situation says so much to me. but froggi. bestie. his personality. no one talks about it enough.
his personality is a little difficult to see because he’s silent most levels and only talks occasionally during cutscenes. BUT THAT’S WHY “DUST TO DUST” AND “BLOOD BROTHERS” ARE THE BEST LEVELS. he’s literally just— like. okay. he literally starts off dust to dust by making a fucking joke. he and price are getting shot at, about to kill their greatest enemy, and this dude cracks a joke. makarov’s men are yelling and shooting at them, and yuri looks at price and just goes, “i think they know we’re here! :)” like YEAH. THEY SURE DO. KISS ME RIGHT NOW.
but also just. he’s a mixture of methodical planning and research – he memorizes info, he pays attention to people and their patterns. he was makarov’s right hand man, the second-in-command of the inner circle, one of the loyalist commanders (and probs the most involved of the three). his literal job after joining the ultranationalists was to escort and guard makarov. he was constantly working against overt AND covert enemies, he didn’t survive that job for 20 years by NOT knowing how to read people.
i said he’s a mixture because he’s also reckless as hell. not anymore so than someone like soap, but in “dust to dust”, price has to reel him in. after the elevator sequence, yuri just. picks up a frag grenade, throws it, and sprints right after it?? also vaults over a couch so that was hot as fuck, but price literally has to go, “yuri your armor’s gone, BE FUCKING CAREFUL” because he’s just rushing in. he wanted blood and i’m just… 🫣. usually he’s patient and takes the time to do things smart. but he’s also perfectly willing to use dangerous tactics and risky maneuvers to get the job done. he keeps his composure alarmingly well, but there are things that can make him lose it because he’s still human. like in blood brothers? after he and soap fall from the tower and are laying on the street?? yuri’s barely awake, barely ALIVE, and he’s desperately reaching out to soap, one of his ONLY true allies, trying to save him. i’m so confident in that moment being horrible for yuri. one of his only friends and allies was killed by his former friend, and even though yuri’s presence wasn’t the reason for the bomb being planted, i can guarantee that he blamed himself for soap dying.
i’m just. AUGSSKDLWJWHFKDBWBDLFOWJ. i’m sliding down the wall ripping my hair out screaming crying rattling my cage bars losing my mind. i love yuri so much. he’s so interesting and the fact that people only talk about him when talking about makarov makes me so sad. like yes the two are very important to each other’s stories but C’MON. yuri may have a buzzcut and blue eyes but he’s also my gorgeous babygirl that can SPRINT while carrying a 6’2” man on his shoulders in a sandstorm 🤭
he’s also legitimately the reason why my brother thought COD had super soldiers. the amount of shit yuri survived and the sheer amount of stuff it took to kill him is insane. it took a consecutive TWO direct-impact rockets, being set on fire, impaled on metal, AND three bullets to the chest and head to finally kill him??? he deadass survived being shot point-blank, another rocket that led to him falling down a cliff into a raging river five days after being shot, falling out of a clocktower (like TEN stories??) and slamming into scaffolding before landing on a stone road, price punching him down a flight of stairs like 30 minutes after, ANOTHER DIRECT-HIT ROCKET—
it’s wild. he’s my indestructible beloved military wife. my main oc is a medic because this man needs someone to treat his wounds around the clock. i love him so much it’s not even funny. if he’s not in the reboot i’m marching down to IW and activision and starting a riot. if he does appear then i’m gonna write fics faster than the speed of light. i’ve already got plans for a makarov/reader/yuri fic that’s gonna be pure filth because i’m a simp.
anywho i hope this answer was a reasonable length and very sane to you! 🤞🩷

real  name;  inessa  kostova  (kostov  comes  from  the  root  word  kost’  which  translates  to  bone).  code  name;  mara,  the  slavic/pagan  goddess  of  death  &  winter.  other  aliases;  doch’  skeletnaya  (the  daughter  of  bones/skeletal  daughter),  the  prodigal  daughter.
her  parents  were  high  level  russian  intelligence  operatives  in  deep  cover  in  zakhaev’s  (which  turned  into  makarov’s)  operations,  mara  was  basically  being  groomed  to  be  part  of  russian  intelligence  eventually  too.  she  only  knew  code  names  but  she  still  knew  a  fuck  lot  of  information  bc  of  her  parents.  and  they  didn’t  want  her  to  end  up  an  agent  especially  in  someone  as  fucking  horrible  as  zakhaev’s  operations  so  they  attempted  to  flee  russia  when  she  was  15  to  give  her  a  better  life  —  the  government  then  leaked  their  double  agent  status  and  an  attack  got  both  her  parents  killed  &  left  her  permanently  disabled  (significant  hearing  loss  in  her  right  ear  &  partial  in  her  left,  she  has  hearing  aids  but  prefers  to  just  use  sign  language/read  lips)
was  very  much  not  trusted  by  any  government  she  could  have  operated  for  once  she  was  of  age  bc  of  how  much  she  knew  and  how  easily  she  still  could  be  russian  intelligence  but  finally  price  saw  her  skill  set  and  recruited  her  to  the  141,  especially  now  that  the  team  is  going  after  makarov  someone  like  her  would  be  fucking  invaluable.
and  price  doesn’t  tell  her  immediately  that  the  “first  horseman”  she  knows  of  is  actually  makarov  (that’s  a  name  from  the  og  timeline  i’m  hoping  they  put  it  in  the  reboot  too),  which  means  that  reveal  is  🙃  not  ideal  for  her  but  anyways
her  and  roach  get  along  best  because  the  two  of  them  sign  and  stay  out  of  the  way.  her  and  ghost  are  basically  always  a  pin  drop  away  from  being  at  each  other’s  throats;  ghost  bc  she’s  not  to  be  trusted  and  mara  bc  he  reminds  her  of  the  men  her  parents  used  to  interact  with.
extremely  deadly  with  knives  and  hand-to-hand  combat,  she’s  also  small  but  extremely  strong  despite  how  she  looks.  she  wears  a  cowl  (like  the  one  elektra  wears  in  daredevil)  in  the  field  bc  her  identity  is  absolutely  a  risk  factor  for  her.  can  and  would  kill  many  many  people  but  is  also  still  a  scared  fucking  kid  pretending  she’s  got  her  shit  together  so  she  can  get  revenge  for  her  parents.

actually no for real let's talk about it. because some of y'all are showing your asses, jumping straight onto his appearance (yes I'm talking about the tattoos) and prison time and saying shit like, oh, he's shallow, he has no motivation, he's a thug (???), he's ~just~ a criminal.
babes? he's ALWAYS been ~just~ a criminal. the whole reason he became a terrorist in the first place—the whole reason he harbors such a violent hatred for the West and resentment for his own country—is because he had to resign from the Spetsnaz in exchange for an inquiry against him by the UN to be dropped. an inquiry that came about because of the war crimes he committed on his two tours in Chechnya during the First Chechen War.
keeping in mind that he was responsible for some of the most brutal cleansing raids in-universe, I invite y'all to read about the First Chechen War and what the Russians did to Chechnya and Chechen people. I invite y'all to familiarize yourselves with the term zachistka.
and y'all are fans of Makarov, yeah? I probably don't need to say this but take the time to sit down and refamiliarize yourselves with all the things he's done in the name of his movement. the acts of terrorism, the human trafficking, all of it.
Makarov has always been driven by hatefulness, blood lust, and hunger for power. he has always used the people around him as weapons and as ladder rungs. every slight against him, everything "taken" from him (and yes this includes Zakhaev's death) is just pretense for violence he inflicts for his own sake and his own benefit. the whole point of Makarov is that he's a wild card, liable to do anything and everything to achieve his goals, no matter the cost—he has "no rules, no boundaries."
the only difference between Makarov in the reboot trailer and Makarov in the original games is that OG!Makarov wears a suit about it. y'all don't like OG!Makarov better because he's somehow ~deeper~ with more compelling motivations, y'all like him better because he makes pretentious speeches about will and quotes The Art Of War like it's genius. there has never been a single scrap of sympathy to his name, and it's lowkey sick that y'all pretend there is because he's a marginally attractive white man in a suit about it.
the point of a reboot is to be different. they were never going to copy paste OG Makarov to the reboot because copy pasting everything about him defeats the purpose of said reboot. they changed everyone, why would they not change Makarov? be serious now.
also the way some of y'all been talking about him stinks fr.

Hello! You are a really good artist. I really like your drawing and I just want to ask one thing. How did Jade and Ghost meet, how did they get to know each other? I hope I don't offend you with this question, but if I do, I'm sorry
Hello! (・∀・)ノ It's absolutely fine to ask the stories around my OC! In fact It's really nice lol
Okay so to answer this question, there's two answers because Jade had already existed before the rebooted!MWII. She was originally created for the OG!Ghost, but after the reboot!Ghost released, I personally like him more HAH.
for the OG!Ghost : Jade was a retired MI6, but got called again to be an in-field analyzer and translator sent by MI6 to help TF141 deal with Makarov's terrorism acts. Ghost didn't trust her at first as her combat ability was almost as good as he was despite her small figure, so he couldn't trust her. They became rivals at everything until one day they sparred and Jade forcefully opened his mask 🥲🥲 Things get weird from there 🙊 for the Rebooted!Ghost : Jade is also a retired MI6, but got called back by Laswell in 2020 to go to Verdansk in order to retrieve some of Viktor Zakhaev's files there. During that time, she bumped into the Reboot!Ghost and thought the other one was an enemy from the growing distrust among the Armistice -- and tried to shoot each other LMAOAO. Both of them worked alone on their own and with their own missions, so both of them got separated on not-so-good terms.
Finally in 2022, Laswell called her back again to go to Las Almas in order to purse Hassan Zyani after the discovery of a missile in Al Mazrah. Ghost and Jade met again in Las Almas, along with Soap, Alejandro and Rudy. WOOHOO \(^o^)/
So there it goes! Hope that answers your question! (✧ω✧)
