Nikoláj Viktorovich Zakhaev
AKA: Perseus, Kolya, Nikko, The Left Eye, The "Crazy One", The True Leader, "The One With Potential", Gemini-2, "Just a kid" (Kate Laswell, MW3)

16-17 (Modern Warfare 2, 2022)
18 (Modern Warfare 3, 2023)
30s (Call of Duty: Aces AU)
Blood type: AB
Eye color: Green
Height: 5'11
Nationality: Russian
Ethnicity: Slavic (Russian, Partially Chechen)
Languages Spoken: English, Russian, Arabic
Religion: Russian Orthodox
Marital Status: Single
Faceclaim: Ernest Klimko + Yuri Pleskun + other references
Family:
Imran Zakhaev - Paternal grandfather (deceased)
Viktor Zakhaev - Father (deceased)
Yulia Zakhaeva - Step-Mother (unknown)
Oksana Makarova - Mother (unknown, presumed deceased)
Vladimir Makarov - Maternal Uncle, Mentor (unknown)
Nikita "Kita" Zakhaev - Brother (alive)
-
Affiliates:
PERSEUS, KONNI GROUP, ULTRANATIONALISTS, SSO (formerly)
Nikolaj and Nikita Zakhaev were born through the extramarital affair of Viktor Zakhaev and Oksana Makarova, the older sister of Konni Group commander and ultranationalist leader Vladimir Makarov in 2005. Although their legitimacy was a point of contention through the family, Viktor's involvement with their childhood was somewhat minimal, leaving their uncle as their father figure and influence.
Oksana didn't want her children to follow in the family business, but hoped that they'd have a place in the new world order her younger brother aspired to create out of the ashes of the western world.
Both boys attended relatively good schools and lived their lives publicly under the "Makarov" surname, only dropping it when they were old enough to join the movement, and have their legitimacy acknowledged by their grandfather before his death in his will.
Both Kita and Kolya received informal training under their uncle and their family friend, Yuri. It was Kolya who was the more "naturally talented" and gifted of the two. Makarov encouraged Kolya to nurture his sadistic and ruthless tendencies, and had Nikita keep his more fragile brother's mind from breaking.
When working together, they are a threat almost equivalent to Makarov himself, perfect extensions of his power in the form of two young lieutenants. Should anything happen to him, they will carry on what he started.
Kolya was born with a sensitive immune system and an allergy to fish his father thought could be cured by just feeding him it. Growing up, Kolya was more or less outcasted for being more asocial, only comfortable around his family.
Eventually the emotional little Kolya was discovered to be able to switch his empathy on and off as his mentors guided him and hoped to shape him into a perfect leader for their intentions. The Ultranationalists saw him as the natural next in line for their values, and the secretive Perseus group saw him as a potential candidate for their own plans.
The only one he is sure is not using him for an ulterior goal is his twin, who makes sure he remembers that the validation of others he desperately seeks will not be worth losing his autonomy and control- the very thing they're convinced they're fighting for.

AC x COD, Let's say Valeria as El Sin Nombre made dealings with the Templars like past deals for human trafficking for the Animus project (she's doesn't know about that) or paid for information as an example and maybe got some wisdom by the Templars (if they are so prideful to boast about it) and it just pulls us into the confrontation of Alejandro and Valeria scene into more Desmond telling she was used as a pawn or something
The Assassin's Creed x Call Of Duty Modern Warfare crossover (idea + 2 drabbles, short fic 1, short fic 2, another drabble, an overview of Desmond's journal and loadout)
This gives me an excuse to talk about the villains’ connection to the whole Assassin vs Templar aspect of Assassin’s Creed so here we go!
The Zakhaevs - It’s currently unknown if there is any connection between them and Abstergo but, considering Las Almas had dealings with both of them, it’s possible that they are using middlemen/companies/parties to indirectly deal with the Zakhaevs to ensure it does not trace back to them.
Valeria and the Las Almas - She inherited Abstergo as a customer from the La Arana’s. Las Almas was also in charge of moving Soma from Mexico to the United States although it is unknown where in the US it’s meant to be shipped (Desmond’s guess would be perhaps to the Abstergo facility in Philidelphia). Other than that, there’s an Abstergo-ran clinic nearby where members of Las Almas get treated for free. In exchange, any person that the Las Almas move to or from the border must be checked there as well. This clinic is controlled by Abstergo and is mainly used to check for any ‘interesting’ genetic memory from the samples they receive.
General Shepherd - I already talked about Shepherd as an Assassin in the idea + 1 drabble and a short scene that have him. Other than that, it should be noted that Shepherd was one of the last mentor’s acolytes together with William Miles and Gavin Banks but he was passed over to be the next mentor after the mentor’s death as he was too much of a public figure, considering his rising military career. He had a wife and a child back in the Brotherhood, both of which died during the Great Purge. His Assassin affiliation is kept hidden even from the other Assassins and the most people know about him is that he is an ally. (Side note: he is the one who gave 141 a dog named Riley and it’s implied to have been a child of the last mentor’s dog)
Philip Graves and the Shadow Company - Here’s a short scene that has them. The most important part about them is that they are all survivors of the Great Purge or children whose parents and families died during the Great Purge. They were taken in by General Shepherd and trained to be one of the best PMC in the modern era. They idolize Ezio Auditore for destroying the Borgias and the Byzantine Templar Rites. As a PMC, they are not considered as actual Assassins by the Brotherhood and they have worked for Abstergo before.
Roman Barkov - His assholeness is just him. The Templars and the Assassins have nothing to do with that.
Hassan Zyani - He made a deal with Abstergo to transport Soma to the US in exchange for their support. Considering Berg is in charge of meeting him… it’s highly plausible a double-cross might be on the horizon.
Makarov - He never dealt with the Templars and Abstergo thinks he’s a loose cannon that’s too dangerous to deal with. However! He may or may not have had dealings with the Assassins before he became the Makarov we all hate today. At the very least, he knows William Miles but he knows him by a different name: Yuri.
For those who are unfamiliar with it, there's an ongoing sorta-poll right now of whether I write an actual fic for this crossover or a Leverage-inspired conman!Desmond for Desmond's birthday in March. More information here.
#if you know you know#sorry it doesn't involve the actual confrontation with alejandro and valeria#i had an excuse to talk about all the baddies#so i did#i don't even know if i can tag desmond to this?#ramirez! add the proper tags!#assassin's creed#call of duty#call of duty modern warfare#call of duty mwii#general shepherd#imran zakhaev#victor zakhaev#hassan zyani#roman barkov#philip graves#valeria garza#cod makarov#william miles#i'm not tagging yuri#teecup writes/has a plot#ask and answer

It breaks my heart how some people don't know how much information they are missing out on in the games.
Did you know Gaz specializes in interrogation, not Ghost or Price, Gaz.
Did you know the first mission of the original first game is cannon to Soap? Did you know that not only did he lock a mp in the trunk of a car. Which we all know, but also that while on patrol when they were attacked and the machine gun malfunctioned. So Soap stripped the weapon and reassembled it before firing 150 single shots, re-cocking the gun for every round. And claimed Any and all of his comrades would have done the same thing?
Did you know All Gillied up is still canon and MacMillan still owes Price a favor presumably? Did you know MacMillan was still cannon? That also means Imran Zakhaev is still alive?
There are so many things people just don't know and it breaks my heart because these are some of my favorite fun facts.

idk if I’ve posted about it before but I had an idea that’s been bouncing around for a couple of months for an au that combines both modern warfare timelines into one, and it goes something like this:
(for reference, this starts with ‘09 canon and moves into ‘19 canon! In this, these characters are not distinct, with the exception of Gaz)
————
Soap passes SAS selection, youngest candidate ever, and gets put on Price’s team. Together with Gaz and a small SAS team, the fight against Ultranationalists, gaining allies in Nikolai, loyalists, and USMCs. The death of Victor and Imran Zakhaev leads to the creation of the 141, which includes Soap, Price, Gaz, and Roach, under the command of General Shepherd. Ghost is added after he escapes and kills Roba.
The 141 is sent after Makarov, where Soap gets injured and Price gets captured, presumably killed. Soap gets promoted to captain and becomes field commander of the 141 (Ghost was asked, but rejected the promotion; Soap was always a better leader than him anyway). Soap and Ghost get close, or as close as they’ll let themselves get for being a captain and a lieutenant. They dance around it, the unspoken tension, and never act on it, convinced that they can’t. Three years later, Soap, Roach, and Ghost infiltrate the Russian gulag to rescue an unknown prisoner, who turns out to be Price. Together, the two captains hunt down Makarov while Roach and Ghost are betrayed by Shepherd, who shoots and burns them. Soap and Price are declared war criminals by Shepherd, Makarov goes into hiding, and Soap and Price kill Shepherd. In their hunt for Makarov, Soap is killed, and Price is forced to give up because he never finds any shred of evidence leading him to Makarov’s hiding place.
Instead, he finds Ghost, who is clinging to life in a black site hospital, almost 80% of his body burned, and mourning the loss of Roach. Instead, he finds Soap, who managed to escape in the chaos following the botched assassination attempt of Makarov and go into hiding. Instead, he finds Shepherd, who wasn’t nearly as dead as Price thought he’d been, who’s slowly been working his way back up the political ladder, buying pardons and new staff and blind eyes until he’s right back where he was without anyone being any the wiser.
Soap is rattled by the whole experience. He’s an SAS soldier, sure, but he’s never been betrayed like that, never had to fight and run for his life like that before. His years of being a captain have taken a toll on him, and all he wants to do is restart. Do it all over again. So Price lets him. Demotes him back down to sergeant, makes him do the SAS selection process over again. His scores are just as impressive the second time, and the reduced responsibility lifts a weight off of his shoulders, letting him become a little freer, a little more talkative, a little more… well, Price doesn’t want to say immature, but… It’s a good look on him, in any case. The kid deserves a break; no one was ever meant to shoulder the burden he had to as young as he did. He doesn’t rejoin the 141 for a while, too busy recuperating from his near-death, getting back into shape for the selection process, and actually going through selection, which takes months on its own.
As for Ghost… he’s done this before. He knows this song and dance, knows the weight of betrayal. He’s weathered this storm before and is perfectly fine going back to his regular position. Still a lieutenant, still the Ghost. Except he’s quieter now. More reserved. He only trusts Price, and even that’s a tenuous thing on the best of days. He makes a hard shell mask instead of just wearing a balaclava, and Price can’t blame him. Roach’s death hit hard, the betrayal hit hard, and while he hadn’t been there to see it, learning about Soap’s short death had been hard too. So he lets Ghost do his thing. Watches as his lieutenant spends more time in the gym than is really medically advisable, watches his lieutenant retreat further and further into himself, watches his lieutenant hide from the world and become a perfect soldier again, albeit a far more unstable one. He starts wearing colored contacts that darken his irises to a honey-brown, and he’d never admit it but Price knows it’s because he can’t stand to look in the mirror and see Soap’s eyes staring back. Or maybe he can’t stand to see himself staring back, blue eyes a constant reminder of his own failures. He gets better on the sniper, more practiced at protecting his team, preferring to work alone but always ready to use his scope and trigger to show his loyalty.
The three briefly reunite in Verdansk, which throws all of them for a loop initially, because it’s the first time they’ve all been in the same room in years, but they have more important things to worry about, like keeping Soap from killing Makarov. It’s a close thing, the trauma fresh on all of their minds, but they’re not allowed to kill him; he needs to face justice from the law, not from the wrong end of Soap’s gun.
When Piccadilly Circus gets attacked, Price finds Garrick and adopts him, and the hunt for the Al-Qatala terrorists begins. They head to Urzikstan to find Sulaman, where his capture and subsequent escape lead Alex Keller, Farah, and Hadir to be recognized as terrorists themselves. Eventually, Price and Kyle meet up with Alex and Farah to hunt down Hadir after his betrayal.
They find him and hand him over to the Russians, then launch an attack on Barkov’s chemical factory, leading to Barkov’s death. Alex, too, seems to die in the resulting explosion.
After that, Task Force 141 is cleared and reinstated and given permission to continue operations. Their goal isn’t Makarov anymore; he’s gone to ground, likely never to be found again unless he starts stirring up trouble. Instead, the Zakhaev family has started reviving old family traditions. Price has to focus on that, not the twinge of familiarity and grief when he hears that Kyle goes by Gaz, not the tendrils of apprehension at the notion of bringing Ghost and Soap back together and with such a different dynamic than before, and definitely not the thought that he might be getting too old for this shit. He focuses on what he knows, and there’s little he knows better than the Zakhaev family.
It takes a year, but they eventually hunt him down and kill him, with the help of Alex, Farah, and the Shadow Company.
And then Ghorbrani is killed in Al Mazrah by the Shadow Company, under the command of Shepherd and Laswell, who knows nothing about Shepherd’s past. Ghorbrani’s death incites Hassan, which spurs the 141 to find him. Shepherd isn’t the one giving the orders, though; he knows better than that. Instead, he pawns the mission control off on Laswell, who directs them to Al Mazrah. It’s the first time Ghost and Soap are working together since both of their apparent deaths, and it’s… okay. Ghost obviously isn’t used to this new version of Soap, this chatterbox who seems so full of life, so different from his gruff previous commanding officer. And Soap obviously isn’t used to this new version of Ghost, who is far more reserved, less open. There’s a learning curve for both of them, but they deal with it well enough. They’re both soldiers, after all, and damn good ones at that. They fall into a rhythm of sorts, or at least a tentative understanding. Price thinks that it has to be good enough; he’s too busy working with their newest member, the only one who isn’t aware of the shared past between the other three operatives. It’s almost refreshing, the clean slate that Gaz, this Gaz, brings to the table.
Ghost and Soap travel to Las Almas to hunt for Hassan along with Alejandro and Rodolfo, and the change of location and new allies loosens them both up a little. Not a lot, but enough to start trusting each other again. Not that they never did, but still. There’s a lot of history there, and a completely new dynamic to get a handle on. Eventually, they catch Hassan but have to release him shortly after.
And then Soap volunteers to infiltrate the mansion to find El Sin Nombre. It’s the first time Ghost has seen him take on any sort of leading role, anything voluntarily putting himself in unnecessary danger since his demotion, and it shifts something in his mind, a fundamental piece of his psyche that had been holding him back from truly seeing Soap as his sergeant instead of his ex-captain. By the time El Sin Nombre is captured, Ghost has truly stepped into the role of Soap’s lieutenant and Soap has settled comfortably in the role of Ghost’s sergeant. It’s still not perfect, Ghost sometimes pushes too hard and Soap can’t help but push back, but it’s better now.
And then they get betrayed again. They realize Shepherd is alive and back in power. They realize the Shadow Company was never on their side. They realize they were played for fools. Again.
It’s infinitely traumatic in a split second. Soap gets shot and Ghost doesn’t see red in anger, he sees red in fear. He hadn’t seen Soap’s previous non-death, but he can’t bring himself to even entertain the thought of losing him now. Not when they’ve finally found a semi-solid footing either each other again. So he yells at him to run, to get out of there, and he does what he does best: he finds a good vantage point and he protects his team. He protects Soap.
He can’t help but to fall back on old habits, little joking asides that he thought he’d never utter again, but it seems to calm Soap down. The walls between them break down in those rainy streets across their comms; they take several steps back towards who they used to be, or maybe that’s just Ghost. Maybe Soap’s newfound lightness brings out the long-buried traces of optimism in him (optimism isn’t the right word, he knows; he’s never been optimistic, but there’s definitely… something… he’s a little scared to put any other name to it). He tells Soap that he likes him alive, and it almost sounds like a confession, a truth and hidden fear that neither of them had been willing to voice after their reunion. They share details about themselves, things that they hadn’t even shared as captain and lieutenant, and when Ghost calls Soap “Johnny” and Johnny doesn’t stop him… Maybe they can finally have what they’ve always denied themselves. Maybe this is their sign, their second chance, their universe-granted green light. Or maybe Ghost is just getting delirious with fear and pain and anger.
They make it out of Las Almas alive, and the drive to the safe house is spent in silence, as if neither of them is willing to broach the subject. Again, maybe that’s just Ghost. Soap seems to be busy trying not to bleed out in the passenger seat.
Laswell has to swear up and down that she didn’t know about Shepherd’s intentions or past before they trust her again, but her help in rescuing Alejandro and the rest of Los Vaqueros goes a long way. Soap kill Graves in Las Almas and Ghost kills Hassan in Chicago, and they can’t go after Shepherd, so they shift their focus to the next biggest fish: the Konni Group, who have rescued Makarov from prison.
————
The rest of MWII and MWIII proceed as normal. (Unless you want to ignore canon, which is very valid, in which case you can make up your own ending about how Makarov snd Shepherd die and Soap and Ghost’s happily ever after. Go crazy.)
I know a lot of people are very passionate about these two timelines staying separate , and with good reason, but I wanted to do this as a sort of thought exercise for myself. I’ve never played the original games, so any mistakes are entirely my fault as I relied heavily on the CoD wiki pages and timeline. If I missed any loose ends between the original and reboot timelines, no I didn’t (it’s very likely lmao, tying up so many mismatched plot points was pretty difficult but I think I took a decent enough stab at it)

Biting nikto hcs? Would he enjoy getting bitten or bite?
ill try to do some teeth related things etc etc only because biting/hickeys toes the line of nsfw and sfw :'( if u put in a req @puracatt ill probably do some over there
cw // tooth loss, tooth pulling, blood
[ come - adrianne lenker ]
nikto who's missing a few teeth. zakhaev couldn't let him go without plucking a molar or two, then one of his sharp teeth. at first, he relishes in the gaps there. they're another one of his many trophies-- i survived imran zakhaev, and i have the wounds to prove it.
he can't chew rare steaks or the occasional hard candy like he used to. he mourns. he can't eat without having food get caught in the squishy dips of his gums.
his teeth are sharp, like a cat's. they hardly befitting of an omnivore.
when he gets hit in the cheek or upper lip, a shudder rolls through him. that numbing sensation that echoes through his nerves is reminiscent of that empty feeling he had after losing his teeth. everything was dull and bloody.
nikto who gets the cheapest, crappiest implants available in a clinic nearby his place of deployment. he just wants to be able to eat and smile without thinking of the gaps in his grin. regardless, not all of it matters in the face of vengeance.

A Makayuri Timeline
Okay, so I was really bored and I decided to go onto the COD wiki (and Villains and Heroes wiki) and from the information given and drawing up some of my own conclusions, I have created a little timeline that I did not beta whatsoever so it's probably filled with grammatical errors but actually had some fun w/ it.
Now lets get started!
October 4th 1970 - Makarov was born in Ivanovo Russia, during the Soviet era
1988 - Makarov would have presumably graduated from the Frunze Military academy as a Captain
1988-1994 - Makarov would have presumably served as a Captain in the Russian Army by serving as a paratrooper for the 98th Guards Airborne Division of the VDV
1989-1990 - Makarov was stationed in Berlin during the collapse of the Berlin wall. It was stated that Yuri had joined the Spetsnaz in the early 1990s
1990 - Presumably, Makarov would have joined the Spetsnaz at this time with the rank of Captain. It is reasonable to suggest that Makarov and Yuri would have first met in 1990 in the Spetsnaz
1991 - Both Yuri and Makarov are no longer Soviet (rip USSR) and are now Russian
1994-1996 - Makarov would have served in the First Chechen War as a Captain and partake in brutal cleansing raids. It is likely that Yuri would have been either under Makarov’s command or if not, because he was in the Spetsnaz, it is still likely he would have served in the First Chechen War in Chechnya and at least know about Makarov's cleansing raids (and he's still into Makarov).
1996 - Makarov opted for discharge out of the armed forces due to the U.N. holding an inquiry to investigate human rights violation charges where he was at the top of the list presented by the EU investigations panel.
Around this time, he would have used his military training for terrorist enterprises, likely for the crimes, human trafficking, money laundering, drug smuggling, bombings of military/civilian targets and assassinations
Due to these crimes, around this point of time, he had been noticed by Imran Zakhaev and offered a position in his anti-Western movement, the Ultranationalist Party
Yuri would have had to follow Makarov’s lead as they are literally together in Pripyat and the Middle East later on. Thus it can be safely said that Yuri had also left the Spetsnaz during 1996, following Makarov’s discharge. He is also noticed by Imran Zakhaev, as stated by the wiki. This actually sort of indicates that he had been complacent to the crimes of Makarov that caught Zakhaev’s attentions (what a simp).
1996 - Makarov monologues to Yuri during Zakhaev’s attempted arms deal exchange in Pripyat but the attempted assassination by Lieutenant John Price happens. Yuri says that Zakhaev never forgot what he and Makarov had done for them that day and awarded them with power
2001 - Imran Zakhaev ordered Makarov to bomb a Moscow city bus and succeeded leaving 29 people killed and 19 injured
Makarov bombed of Piccadilly Circus using a modified London Underground train filled with explosives, killing and wounding 407 people
Committed a massacre at the GUM department store in Moscow, 87 wounded or dead
Considering the fact that Makarov and Yuri are fairly inseparable and they’re together during the 2011 nuclear detonation event, it can be safe to assume that Yuri would have been present at Makarov’s side for these (simp).
2002 - Makarov hijacked a Greek oil tanker in the Mediterranean Sea Hellenic Navy with two crew members killed or wounded before the $3mill ransom was paid
Murdered three Russian infantry solders
Stole $1.5mill from ZBV bank
Yuri would have likely been present at Makarov’s side for these (simp).
2003 - Repression of North Caucasus-based and pro-Western nationalist groups
Makarov assassinated political leaders, arson and bombing of opposition parties
Murdered Moscow-based journalist Ilya Lovitch who was investigating political crimes
Bombed several government buildings in Kazakhstan, 245 dead or wounded
Hijacked two Kreigler Airliners, 378 are dead and wounded, eight were his own men
Yuri would have likely been present at Makarov’s side for these (simp).
2004 - Makarov robbed a HBS bank in Istanbul
Abducted 15 college students from Russia, 5 are killed or wounded
Bombed two embassies in Africa, 28 are dead and 48 injured
Yuri would have likely been present at Makarov’s side for this (simp).
2005 - Makarov held up an armoured truck in Moscow and stole three million rubles (100K), three security guards were dead or wounded
Hijacked a cruise ship in the Baltic Sea and tortured U.S passengers until the $5mill ransom was paid
Yuri would have likely been present at Makarov’s side for these (simp).
2006 - Makarov robbed Russian State Postal and Banking Service Depot of 32 million rubles ($1.2mill)
Murdered of famous British designer, Rob Millington
Murdered three U.S airmen based in Turkmenistan
Helped coordinate attacks by Janjaweed militias and Sudanese military against rebels. Was implicated in human rights abuse
Yuri would have likely been present at Makarov’s side for these (simp).
2007 - Makarov captured and beheaded Mossad attache to Ukraine who was investigating Makarov’s links to Islamic extremists
Assassinated Pakistani politician Hasni Al’Bura
Bombed a Russia-Germany gas pipeline in Belarus because Gasneft refused to pay a fee to prevent “disruption to service.”
Robbed $15 million worth of diamonds and other gemstones from a Siberian mining company
Yuri would have likely been present at Makarov’s side for these (simp).
2008 - Makarov committed ambush of an FSB vehicle, 5 agents dead or wounded
Abducted and murdered a SibGaz owner’s wife and daughter
Yuri would have likely been present at Makarov’s side for these (simp).
2008-2009 - Makarov committed the bombing of a Swedish furniture store in a shopping mall that was located in St. Petersburg 100 people killed or wounded
Yuri would have likely been present at Makarov’s side for this (simp).
2009 - Makarov bombed Baku-located U.S oil company offices, 3 people dead or wounded
He was unsuccessful at his bomb plot against English-speaking school in Moscow
Unsuccessful in rigging explosives in a Moscow-located soccer stadium. Authorities burst a pipe to halt the match and denied publicity to Makarov
Trafficked over $2.1mill worth of weapons, drugs and people
Yuri would have likely been present at Makarov’s side for these (simp).
2011 - Makarov gave Al-Asad the order of detonating nuclear device, killing or wounding approximately 30k U.S Marines, Air Force, Navy SEALs and NEST team and unknown OpFor (Al-Asad’s men). Yuri JUST grew some balls as THIS was the moment that planted seeds of doubt in his head regarding his affiliation with the Ultranationalists.
Soap killed Imran Zakhaev in 2011 with the help of U.S Marines (Griggs, notably), Loyalists (Kamarov, notably) and SAS Forces at the climax of the Second Russian Civil War causing the Ultranationalist Party to Splinter, Makarov’s resources and contacts due to his terrorist enterprises, allowed him to assume control of a large portion of the dissolved Ultranationalist Party known as the ‘Inner Circle.’ Yuri is still with him for all of this, albeit probably not as stoked.
2015 - Makarov became the CIA’s most wanted terrorist. Yuri is still with him but not as pussy-whipped.
August 10th 2016 - Makarov played some part in the new Ultranationalist Russia under the mainstream party’s newly elected leader and President Boris Vorshevsky after the Ultranationalist victory of the Second Russian Civil War, though he was pushed out of the Inner Circle and became unaffiliated with the Ultranationalists politically, he has taken control of some of the rogue military forces and began to extend the party’s activities more towards terrorism. Yuri is still presumably following Makarov’s orders around this time.
August 12th 2016 - Makarov had planned for a massacre in Zakhaev International Airport in Moscow this is to frame CIA agent Joseph Allen and instigate a war which works. Yuri had betrayed Makarov by informing the FSB of his plans (he did it!!! He reached post-nut clarity after 26 years!!!) Makarov knew of his betrayal so he shot Yuri in the Zakhaev International Airport parking lot and let him bleed out. Yuri attempted to pursue Makarov by using the elevator but he passed out from blood loss and was treated by paramedics who had arrived during the aftermath. Makarov had fully succeeded in his plans. 234 civilians with unknown security personnel and FSB members killed or wounded.
August 15th 2016 - Makarov was present at the Airplane Graveyard and unlikely to evade Shepherd without his forces or safehouse, he was contacted by Captain Price for intel and escaped
August 17th 2016 - Yuri, now a Loyalist and somehow healed from that gunshot after just 5 days? Is sent to assist Captain Price, other Task Force members and the Loyalists in protecting Soap from the Ultranationalists in Himachal Pradesh, India (poor Soap, I really thought he was a goner when I first played MW3, which he was in the end but still). Yuri facilitated the extraction out of the country and helped Nikolai in treating Soap.
October 3rd 2016 - Makarov committed the abduction of Russian President Vorshevsky. An unknown number of FSO agents are dead or wounded. In the absence of President Vorshevsky (because he is kidnapped) Makarov became the de-facto leader of the Ultranationalists
October 5th 2016 - Yuri, who is knowledgeable on Makarov’s patterns had pointed out possible locations he would go to and the location of an arms deal in Sierra Leone as well as speculating his security detail. Yuri, Price and Soap are unable to intercept the cargo shipments and the helicopter flies off with the precious cargo
October 6th 2016 - Makarov launched the detonation of unknown chemical weapons as prelude to Russian invasion of Europe 35k deaths in Paris and an unknown number of military and civilian deaths throughout the rest of Europe
October 8th 2016 - Price gains intel on an African warlord in Somalia, Waraabe who should have intel on Makarov via Macmillan. Yuri, Price and Soap breach Waraabe’s office and releases the gas used in the Europe attacks of the 6th of October. They gain intel on Volk and his location. Nikolai’s helicopter crashes and Yuri carries him to the emergency exfil
October 10th 2016 - Volk gives up intel on Makarov, regarding him going to a meeting with his top advisors in Hotel Lustig in Prague to Sandman who relays this information to Price. Yuri, Soap and Price evade the Russians and help the Resistance and eventually make it to the Church tower to establish a sniper position.
October 11th 2016 - Yuri and Soap set up a sniper position at the top of the church tower where they plan to assassinate Makarov. Makarov, who was already prepared for this event, addresses Yuri directly and Price too I guess. He detonates the explosives within Hotel Lustig and the Church Tower, killing Kamarov. Yuri and Price manage to bring Soap into the Resistance building but he dies, his last words revealing Yuri’s relationship to Makarov. Price gets pissed. The Russians attack the building so Price punches Yuri into the basement and Yuri tells Price about his relationship to Makarov, why he defected from the Inner Circle (he was fr young and patriotic). Price is convinced about his revelations.
October 12th 2016 - Yuri informs Price about the Karlstejn Castle which Makarov uses to cache weapons. Price then asks MacMillan if the place sounds familiar and UAV surveillance was done in the area so the location had been confirmed. MacMillan states that if Makarov is at the Karlstejn Castle, he will be at the control centre. The main objective is to determine Makarov’s location. Yuri and Price infiltrate the castle, climbing up a narrow passage, they gain a visual of the control room and they witness a video call between Makarov and Alexi, President Vorshevsky is being interrogated from nuclear launch codes and it is revealed that Makarov’s men are after the President’s daughter. Yuri and Price then escape after Alexi had been notified that the castle had been breached.
October 13th 2016 - Makarov’s men abducted Alena Vorshevsky from her safehouse in Berlin, unknown number of her bodyguards are dead
October 14th 2016 - After Alena Vorshevsky was kidnapped, the helicopter had taken her to a diamond mine in Siberia. Yuri, and the team manage to find Alena Vorshevsky and she reveals that her father had been taken deeper into the mines. The team manage to rescue President Vorshevsky however the mine shakes as a result of explosions, Sandman calls for air evacuation, a Black Hawk and a Little Bird arrive but the Little Bird crashes and Yuri is hit by it but is helped by Truck who moves him into the Black Hawk. Price gets onto the helicopter. RIP Sandman, Grinch and Truck. The news reports that President Vorshevsky is returned to Russia, Moscow, “peace talks between Russia and the U.S” occur but “Ultranationalist leader, Vladimir Makarov is still at large.” Makarov had tried to nuke Europe by coercing nuclear launch codes out of President Vorshevsky but he failed hard. Sucks to suck.
January 21st 2017 - It is the end of the war, Yuri accompanied Price to the Arabian Peninsula after successfully tracking down Makarov in the Hotel Oasis in Dubai. Yuri got impaled by a piece of debris when a helicopter destroyed a part of the hotel, yet he encourages Price to go after Makarov. Yuri manages to gather his bearings and saves Price from Makarov. Yuri shoots Makarov’s left shoulder but Makarov shoots him twice in the chest and a third time at the head. Price took advantage of Makarov pausing and killed Makarov via hanging.
I just find it so funny that if Yuri had been around until 2011, it means that he was totally okay with 29 acts of terrorism until they screwed over 30k marines because that was the specific point in time in which he really began to doubt Makarov and the Ultranationalists. I also find it funny that he definitely probably left the Spetsnaz after Makarov left, we stan a supportive husband!!! Though, Yuri isn't the only one that's pussy-whipped, Makarov had multiple chances to kill Yuri and he just didn't (until in Dust to Dust, I guess) but that's a story for another day.

Imran Zakhaev - Paternal grandfather (deceased)
Viktor Zakhaev - Father (deceased)
Yulia Zakhaeva - Step-Mother (unknown)
Oksana Makarova - Mother (unknown, presumed deceased)
Vladimir Makarov - Maternal Uncle, Mentor (unknown)
Nikolay "Kolya" Zakhaev - Brother (alive)
-
Affiliates:
KONNI GROUP, ULTRANATIONALISTS, SSO (formerly)
Kita was a troublemaker and heartbreaker in his youth, popular amongst his peers and always involving his more introverted and sensitive twin. He was a massive momma's boy and will lash out at anyone speaking ill will of her- even his own father and stepmother.
He enjoyed sneaking vapes and cigarettes and skating when he was younger, with his favorite game being Sonic growing up, often fighting with Kolya over who got to play next.
Everything this young charlatan does is with a grin and a wit, ale to coax answers out of someone without the other even knowing (in comparison to Kolya, who prefers the direct approach of "torture until they talk.)
All in all he fears one day he will lose Kolya to the whims of Perseus and their uncle's plans- whatever it may be...

Running my numbers for Captain Price's career to try and make the long fic make sense. And it's just struck me how truly brilliant this man is. When his Wiki says he is peerless, it really means it. His age is in brackets. These have been extrapolated from information on the Wiki.
1985 (0) Born.
2001 (16) Joined the Army
2004 (19) Badged into the SAS*
2006 (20-21) Sergeant
2008 (22-23) Lieutenant**
2011 (26) Captain***
So, by the time we get to the reboot, he has been a captain for eleven years.
As a sergeant, he's going to meet a "young Nikolai". But, that will still make Nik 31. I don't consider that "young" in the spirit of Nik's bio, but that's when I'm going to have Nik based in London in the Russian Embassy. That will also have given him enough time to build his connections in the army, and get promoted to captain at least. (All pilots are commissioned officers in the Russian air force, like the RAF.)
*You have to serve for three years in the army to be considered for selection in the SAS.
** Price was involved in an assassination attempt on Ultranationalist politician Imran Zakhaev under the command of then Captain MacMillan in Pripyat, Ukraine. The attempt was unsuccessful. In 2009, now in command of Unit Bravo, Lieutenant Price was informed of a Russian chemical lab in Urzikstan by a Commander "Karim" of the Urzikstan Liberation Force; acting on this, the SAS launched a raid on the facility, and Price helped assist Commander Farah Karim. (So I've given him a year as lieutenant here.)
***Taken from Activision biography of "Major Players".

King of my Heart | Vladimir Makarov x Fem!Reader
WARNINGS: Flashback of traumas, gunshots, blackmailing, kidnapping, swearing, military inaccuracies, medicine/doctors field inaccuracies and more that audiences may find uncomfortable (approach me if I missed something on warnings.)
NOTES: The plot of the game and mine are different, I chose to have a plot that Makarov is under the guidance of Imran Zakhaev since he was young. On the other hand, I still include some of the happenings of the game to this fiction.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: Expect grammatical and typographical errors, english and russian isn't my first language. Bare with me.
Summary: Vladimir Makarov is known as being cold-hearted, madman, callous. But, what if one day he fell in love with a lass who captivated his heart badly, is he really a man that's a stone-hearted?
Chapter 1 | Next Chapter
You finished your medical mission in England and you've been assigned to do another in Russia. You dropped off in Zakhaev International Airport, your co-workers already dropped off because you're in another plane for some reason. You sat near the exit to fix your things and yourself, while doing it you suddenly heard a gunshots that you don't want to hear ever again for the rest of your life. Fears starts to hunt you, knees trembling, eyes shut. You've become anxious and that memory came into your mind, again.
"Honey, come on, let's eat. Your doll can wait. You might not want to miss this dish, don't make me wait." A lady said while preparing the utensils and plates.
"Okay, Mom! Just one sec, I'll fix this first." A little girl said, starts fixing her toys.
But all of the sudden, the little girl heard a gunshots. Her knees starts to tremble, overthinking of what have just she heard. She immediately lock the door and walked to the window. She was shocked and awe for what she have just seen, she saw her mother laying down. Her mother's face is covered with blood.
"M-mom... W-what..." She said, still watching through the window. All of the sudden, she met a boy who looks like having a same age with her. The boy look at her with his heterochromia eyes.
You quickly recovered from the sudden flashback of that memory. A hand hold your arm, you face the owner of that arm and you met that heterochromia eyes again but this time it's sinister and darker than before. His eyes are full of loathing, his eyes are fixated on you, looking deeply onto your soul. Fears are coming back to you again, he held your arm tightly enough to bruised it.
"W-wait.. stop.. i-it hurts.." You said quietly and with a gentle tone but you are screaming inside, you envisage to run and hoping not to get caught by him but you knew that you couldn't.
"Кирил, посади ее в эту машину. Сделай так, чтобы она не смогла сбежать, я кое-чего от тебя жду." He said to his comrade using a walkie-talkie, you can't understand what he just said. All you knew that he's speaking russian. ("Kiril, put her in that car. Make sure that she can't escape, I'm expecting something from you.")
Another man came to your gaze and motioned you to follow him, you followed him and looking back inside the airport you saw the heterochromia eyes man and his comrades are firing to the civilians, police, or just say everyone.
"Hey, can you speak english?" You asked the man while you both walked to where the three van parked, he nods.
"Who are you and what's happening?" You said with one eyebrow raised.
He stopped his tracks and face you with arms crossed, "You know, lady, I'm not that very personal with some people. But I guess you can be trusted, Kiril's the name, and we have some things to take care of." You gave him a nod, you can't understand what he meant but you knew that you shouldn't ask anymore.
Kiril look at you and said, "I know you're confuse, I am too. Just obey boss' orders and be careful of your actions and words, he'll not hurt you — and so I am, but we're good. We can be friends."
Something's really off, you know that there's a reason why they will keep you and you feel that there's something with that heterochromia eyes man.
