A child once lived here.

She was not of Jing’an. She held no part of him. Jing’an had no reason to treat her as anything but a cell of a foreign organism. She has been put away. Where to, the city cares not; she is a matter for his upper avatar to suffer.

That is what he tries to tell his son, his demiavatar, standing in the center of her room, but Jing’an’s control over this area is newly established. He cannot blind the demi’s eyes with smoke and dust to the details of the girl’s life as he could if he was in the downtown, or the mines. He cannot stop the demi from examining the embroidered eyes of a man on the hood of a thing like a cheset she left unfinished on a stool and knowing they’re the same as his, even if the women of Jing’an use metal needles instead of bone. There is smoke here like a faint trace of the smell in the mines, from a fire still smoldering.

But it is far too warm here for the thick coat the demi wears, to protect himself from the descending winter outside. His nose wrinkles at the greater stench of the meat left hanging on the ceiling. He self-consciously traces the curves of the black tattoos running from the delicate skin under his eyes to the beginning of his ears, so unlike the sharp Vs he remembers the girl’s brothers sporting from mouth to chin. The bend of the wall, her space separate from her family’s by a woven curtain, is alien.

And the silence.

Jing’an is never quiet. In the mines, he deafens with the sound of saws on ancient bone; in the downtown, he cries in the competing cadences of eight different languages and music mimicking the sound of the La’gut River running through his center. The creatures in the taiga on his outskirts gladly supplant him as his influence wanes. But here, in the chaos of the eviction, they have all fled, and the demi hears nothing.

Her embroidery loses its color to him when he glances back at it. What does it matter that they have the same folds?

The demi wipes sweat from the nape of his neck and strides out of the house, out of the village, if it can even be called that. Jing’an may be able to repurpose the men who once lived here, but the structures they left behind are only overburden.

What is Operation Draw A Circle?

Operation Draw A Circle is a project run by @yaqamole​ and couple volunteers in order to promote POC voices and give back to various communities. We hosted a charity zine last year called The World which was all about sharing the cultures we come from. All proceeds from it went to Women’s Education is Oaxaca, Mexico

We are bringing back the project to continue to uplift POC voices and to continue to host events that you all will help us choose! We are opening up our inbox to suggestions for zine themes, event weeks, and more! We also will take recommendations for people to put on our weekly creator feature!

How regularly will this be updated?

Because of the fact that both the project head and volunteers are busy with school and life, this blog will be updated as we have the time. We do promise at least consistent updates on any events that are up and coming and to make sure that our list of creators we promote gets updated as we have people suggested our way

Not hallucinations, but ZIv is prone to very uncomfortable Deja-Vus. The highly force-sensetive Murakami Orchids have a pool of memories they take from to learn and so did the sentient SIckness that after all is the corrupted concious of a Murakami Orchid. This is shown in the by The Sickness infected people first loose all their mental and physical capabilities and slowly over time "learn" skills like using and leading a Lightsaber as the infectd students on Odacer Faustin did. What the Infected learn is controlled by the corrupted Councious of the Sickness, as shown when the SIckness offers Lussk to "make him powerful as long as he serves them", but when he insists on keep beeing himself The Sickness takes his concious from him. The SIckness takes those skills from the pool of all the memories of all the infected through which they go through telepathically. Which was a long text to explain that Zivs Murakami Orchid uses Zivs memories and the pool of memories of the other Mukamis to learn and as Ziv is connect to the Orchid, she occaisonally will have dreams that are memories from another person who had been infectd with The SIckness. And this people happen to be Darth Drear and Darth Scabrous, who were both infected with the sickness. Ziv cannot control anything about this process and thinks that its just are very "kriffed up" dreams. However, in some moments when she is for example on Odacer Faustin to retrieve Drears sword or when she goes through the rests of Scabrous' notes and experiments, she finds herself "knowing" what is written on those notes or "knowing" what way to go through the underground Temple beneath the destroyed Sith Academy. Obviously she is smart enough to figure out that the memory of walking through the academy is not her hallucinating, because when looking down the feet walking are human and not her Tynnan hindpaws. It does not help that Ziv has a deep curiosity for SIth-Alchemy and this deja-vus are playing right into a interest she really should not follow any more.

That Ziv is such a low hanging fruit is her trying to find a way to find closeness to people without running into he danger of beeing put beneath them as people tend to do because as a Tynnanshe looks very adorable and cute and people automatically reach out to her to ran heir hand over her head and ears. In sexual situations (or romantically flirty) she can at least control that she is seen as a partner and equal and not an adorable armrest. Ziv usually shys away from physical contact in any other situation. This struggle also shows in the way she treats her friends, because she tends to take over a "stern nurturing" role as a medic or in a older sibling role, to make sure she is in no way treated adorable or cute. Ask @kyberllcore who is barely two years younger than Ziv and most of the time ends up beeing treated like a preteen by her. Ziv will use her cute appearences in her work, like when she is calming young children by purring or holding them against her soft fur or when she uses the vibration of her purring and touch to calm a anxious patient, but this is again a situation were she is in a nurturing, older-siblinglike or even mother-like role in which she is socially on a higher stair than her patients. only situations where the roles are clear and respect is directly stated Ziv actually seeks out the physical contact she longs for, like in the theard with @hunters-house wherin Ziv specifically looks for physical contact (leaning against her masters shoulder, sitting beside him on the sickbed, reaching for his arm), because she can be sure that he in the role of her Master has a certaine way of seeing her (as a capable companion, friend, assistant, and student but not a immature child to raise) and that way does not include seeing her as a adorable plushie.

ceremonial avatocracy: a mode of government in which the personif is the ceremonial head of state.

true avatocracy: a mode of government in which the personif actually runs herself. democracy is the closest viable system that is not anarchy that we’ve found so far. i think communism was eventually supposed to transition into it. any system that believes personifs are capable of surviving without caretakers has the goal of true avatocracy.

exchange: the process by which a personif feeds herself and maintains an ideally symbiotic relationship with her humans. community service feeds the personif; gaining the hours that you need to pass high school and presumably the feelings of satisfaction are what the personif gives back. our ability to identify with people we don’t know personally is the result of personif exchange. generally, actions are humans feeding the personif, and feelings are the personif feeding the human. the feelings behind the actions still determine how nourishing the action is, though.

(nation-) whisperer/demipersonif/demiavatar: all children of personifs, adopted and biological, who aren’t personifs themselves. can be produced as long as one parent is a personif, or another whisperer.

demanifestation: what personifs do when they’re not getting enough exchange. the avatar—the personif as we see her—is only the way the consciousness/true body of the place/people communicates with the world, and it takes energy derived from exchange to maintain.

OTJ: Old Triumvirate Jurisdiction. any personif who isn’t primarily based in the Internet.

NTJ: New Triumvirate Jurisdiction. personifs who are primarily based in the Internet.

STJ: Shadow Triumvirate Jurisdiction. any personif of a fictional group of people.

Internet: the space metaphorically/literally (it depends where you’re standing) inside the Fourth Wall. perfectly in between Reality and Fiction.

Fourth Wall: everyone’s brains, in the most literal sense.

Reality: the side of the Fourth Wall our bodies live in.

Fiction: the side of the Fourth Wall everything not-real we think of lives in, and Guardians.

Guardians: our avatars in Fiction; souls, if you will. they’re personifs of each of us and some of them help keep the creatures where they belong. some of them also manage personifs.
