Death
Transformation, moving forward, endings, change, and a new beginning.
Another tarot card, this time of my pathfinder character, Morana!! She's named after a Slavic goddess of death and winter, which was 100% intentional, given her necromancy theme and frozen homeland.
Oh, and a very lovely thank you to kiki @wildmeadowsims for sitting with me while I set up the scene, helping me figure out wtf was going on with my tree textures, and suggesting the red glow from the skull's eyes. This render wouldn't have gotten done yesterday (or anytime soon) without you. 💖

The recipe didn't call for it, but illustration next page had a nude witch, so Lore made them them undress just to be sure the brewing goes correctly

Ocs for pride days 4 and 5!
I accidentally skipped out on the last two (2) days so this is a double whammy to make up for it, aren't they cute?
Kisley (left) and Morana (right)!
Tumblr media
Lesbian(s)
So this is a photo of their wedding, and as you can see they aren't human. They are faeries, well, their universe's version of faeries anyways. These lovely lesbians actually have different colored wings but whatever, for this they don't because I thought it looks cool.
Kisley has more earth-based powers revolving around plants and helping things grow, and she works part-time as a healer using the things she grows to help make the medicines and remedies she uses, with a hint of actual magic in her healing here and there. Morana is part of the Vinzi's top soldiers, so basically royal gaurd but faeries. Her abilities are more water based, and she has some telekinesis. All faeries are able to talk to animals and have extra sensitive hearing, as well as the obvious flight and ability to use their tails as an extra albeit inconvenient limb with a semi-solid grip on things. The mutual piercing of ears with matching jewelry as well as the matching marks on their arms is a special part of faerie culture to tell others that they already have a person or people who they are committed to, so their version of wedding rings.
I love them your honour <3

Hi! I'm curious to know a little more about Morena (Morana?). What's her deal? How'd she get to be so dang awesome?
Thank you for the ask and I hope this answers it
She is a first generation goddess blessed shaman who was blessed by Nimue... maybe.
Her past is slowly coming together but she is rather quiet until it's needed so book three is probably going to make me go crazy a few times in editing lol
Morana has a few powers that stem from her connection to the gods and she hears almost constant whispering from them—she finds it peculiar when she has a quiet day from them. Certain areas of the sea can block her powers but news flash the gods don't particularly like dwelling near them either.
She will be one of the MC's for book three and is seen more in book two...she is one of my more certifiable characters and one of my favorites to write—even if I spend hours trying to find the correct whacky line for her as she is rather picky and likes to be ominous.....some exceptions apply.

The Path of the Undying Star
Overview
The Path of the Dying Star is an artificially created Light/Sword path that now is practised by one Artist. It was created by the Herald of the Everburning Heart, who then taught it to their disciple, now known as the Sage of the Dying Star. The path focuses on total annihilation, and leaves little room for mercy in its techniques.
Light-scored Iron body
Explanation:
The Light-Scorched Iron Body teaches discipline and control to members of the Everburning Heart Sect. It is the most common Iron Body within the sect, and has numerous benefits for the various paths anyone within may practise. It increases the Artist’s resilience to heat, as well as nullifying the sound of their movements.
Cultivation
This Iron Body is quite particular in its cultivation methods, as it requires the Artist to undergo a thorough ritual in their sect. Before the ritual, the artist must train their agility throughout Copper, and during the ritual they will be washed in the solar light of the Veiled Serpent.
Drawbacks
Due to how intense the ritual for this body is, as a result, the Artist’s skin is burned beyond recognition, and they will be in immense pain until they advance to Jade. It’s common for sect members to cover themselves completely in bandages in order to hide their scarring.
Advancement to Gold
Sect members that have shown to be exceptional in talent were trusted to take care for a child of the Veiled Serpent. They are expected to form a bond and grow up with the wyrmling. When a Sacred Artist is ready to advance to gold, in another ritual, they kill the serpent they’ve raised and take on its remnant. Goldsigns often include things such as wings, extra limbs, scales, horns, and other draconic traits. Sect members who do not fulfil the requirements are sent on a journey in order to find their own remnant.
Star Icon
The Sage of the Dying Star reached their status after manifesting the Star Icon in a battle with the Everburning Heart Herald. This icon manifests the destructive power of stars, and is usually used to vaporise things to hell and back.
The Sage of the Dying Star
Morana, also known as the Sage of the Dying Star, was born into the Cult of the Everburning Heart as a child of prophecy. The Forgotten Tyrant foresaw the death of the Veiled Serpent and informed the cult of this fact. The prophecy Morana was written into was never true, and was only meant to be a reassurance for the worried cultists. Morana was adopted and raised by Everyn, the Herald of the Everburning Heart, and was treated as the blessed daughter of the cult’s prophet. Throughout her childhood she advanced quickly, and she began to see the truth behind the cult’s philosophies. She vowed to overthrow her adopted father and create the cult anew. When Morana was an Archlord, the end of all things came and she fought back against her ‘destined’ sacrifice, manifesting the Star Icon in the process. She was able to win the battle, but sustained major injuries, having to be taken into the hands of Lethe in order to heal.
Techniques
Striker:
Requiem of the Dying
The user expends all of their madra at once to create a burst of sharpened light. This light will try to vaporise anything it touches.
Enforcer:
Cloak of Sharpened Agility
Cover the sacred artist in golden light madra, increasing their speed drastically. Can be altered with sword madra in order to create a holy flame that cuts anyone that comes into contact with it.
Forger:
Ray of Hallowed Light
Creates a ball of light above the sacred artist that charges up light madra to then shoot out and burn an opponent. Can also be multiple smaller spheres.
Ruler:
Blinding Retribution
Harness light aura in order to increase the light-levels in a certain area, meant to blind other artists. Usually temporary.
Dance of Flowing Radiance
Draw sword aura in towards the user to then create a boom of luminescent blades, coming out in waves with the user in the centre.
Other:
Radiant Blades of the Damned (Striker/forger)
Creates two blades of sharpened light in the artist’s hands that dissipate when they lose contact with the artist. The artist can reform them almost immediately, and the technique can also be altered into smaller throwing knives of light and sword madra.
