Day 3 of HWS Redesign Week!

I made some notes to redesign nyotalia and I'm so upset I can't draw em yet(getting too late and I can't stay up too late tonight) nor can I draw em tomorrow because I've got an eye appointment. SO send me some nyos to make headcanons for because I'd like to finalize my personal characterizations for em :)

First of all, thank you for the kind words from the both of you!

 I’m glad you like my content and my country! I decided to answer your questions in one reply because they are pretty similar.

 Nyo!Hungary, huh? Honestly, I’m not that familiar with the nyo!verse, but I guess it’s just switching the gender of the character, yes?

 Well, if Hungary was a man, in my opinion, not many things would change. I say this because she already is a bit of both, neither too feminine, neither too masculine, instead a convenient middle ground.

 Yet her character and her relationship with other nations in the series is strongly influenced by her being a woman, which, I think was a good choice for this country. In history books and art we portray our country as a female, and foreign historians refer to Hungary as a “she” as well.

 Now lets see what would she be like if she was a he:

-More prominent trust issues (doesn’t like unfamiliar faces....nor familiar faces, except Poland of course)

-Less cooperative with Austria (also more dominant in their relationship)

-Cussing a lot

-Drinking problems and fluctuating depression (a good pálinka always helps)

-Still emotional but better at controlling himself

-Probably smokes

-Loud singer, proud of his dancing skills

-Complains a lot and critiques every single nation (except Poland)

-Still looks up at Germany but would punch Prussia in the face

-Hurting a lot, therefore guarded and very defensive

-Constant self-condemnation and he compares himself too much to the other stronger nations in his neighbourhood

-Still very intelligent and likes sciences, also good swimmer, likes football (aggressive fan)

-Heavily traumatized after Trianon (still trying to recover but he knows he is just a shadow of himself and is frustrated because of it)

-Likes going out for a drink and entertainment with friends he trusts

-Very independent, doesn’t like when others tell him what to do

-Religious, conservative

-Loyal to his word

-Very competitive

 Hm, these come to my mind right now. Many points are valid in female Hungary’s case too, but I still felt like mentioning for a full picture.

As mentioned in one of the questions, she would be more haunted, depressed and bittersweet as a male. That’s a totally accurate note on our general mindset, speech and behavior.

As for what would change in her relationship with other nations....not much, since those relations are not really gender-related.

He would be more mean towards Austria and Romania I guess, plus his rebellious side would be more emphasized. He would be bros with Italy too. Also he would sometimes team up with France to annoy Austria from west and east. Would rain arrows on Switzerland (there is an old saying related to that), who would curse Hungary out. Still bff with Poland, but that’s no surprise.

His design: I redesigned her Nyo! counterpart because honestly, I can barely tell the two apart because of the long hair. And long hair for males isn’t even a thing in Hungary, save for Early Middle Ages and before.

So my reimagination is Hungary in a hussar uniform with short but still curly hair and instead of a flower, he has a hairpiece that resembles the reneissance flower crown worn by King Matthias.

I kept the round features and the colors though.

Oh, and her name changes to Héderváry Endre. It’s a name used by a few of our medieval kings, and also starts with an “E”. It has stayed pretty popular over the centuries.

I absolutely LOVE your Nyotalia redesigns a lot, especially for England, France and Italy! Btw I love how you made Nyo!England's design more similar to the original England, and bless you for keeping the eyebrows and for making her look less of a tsundere stereotype.
