She leant back on her chair and pecked his cheek. “Sending an invoice.”

“For the New Orleans job?”

She nodded. “I can’t believe there were so many ghosts in that house. It wan’t even that big.”

“I know, right?” He scrunched up his nose and frowned. “I’m still finding salt everywhere."

“Oh, I know.” Sha drawled.

“Speaking of finding stuff where it doesn’t belong,” she pulled out a letter from one of the drawers. “Swan said this came in through the post while we were gone, I don’t know why he keeps insisting on giving me your correspondence.”

“I think we both know why.” Jack said, taking the envelope. He beamed as he noticed the sender’s name.

“You’re the one who insisted on keeping him around.” Said Elsa. “I mean, it’s not like we would have to fire him or anything. He’s old enough to retire anyway, and his pention is quite generous.”

“And how are we going to prevent him from telling other people everything he knows about you?” Jack picked up the letter opener from the desk and cut open the envelope. “I don’t know it's just safer to put up with him and his… passive-aggressiveness.”

Elsa chuckled. “I don’t think that’s a word, love.”

Jack grinned as he read the letter. “You’re not gonna believe this.”

“What is it?”

“Mom and Franciso,” He said excitedly. “They’re getting married.”

y/nleclerc To the brother I got from my mother and the one I got from Toto ( quite literally ), just so you both know, I will always be your little kid. Thank you for being there for me and giving me the reassurance that despite the numerous pranks snd fights, I can always to come to you both with crying eyes or my yapping mouth and you would always welcome me with a warm hug. Georgey, I grew up with you and I know I never say this much but I love you very much and am very proud of you, from your first podium in karting to your first win F1. Lewis, I first met you in 2019 when I was just a teenager and the first thing I asked you was for the picture ( I was meeting a f1 world champion, ofc I had to get a picture) but I didn’t know then that half my gallery would be filled with our pictures. Thank you for always being there like a brother, like a friend, like a mentor and like a punching bag ( that’s a story for another day ).

wants to be the photographer friend SO bad and he technically is but like 70% of the pics come out blurry or weird bc there was a monster attack in the middle of them. his instagram is truly so chaotic looking.
