I know miri is only four, so she's way too young to understand things and process trauma, but it's so sweet how she took the memories of a neglectful, spiteful mother and turned them into something beautiful

2. look at these idiots and tell me either of them wouldnt get into a relationship knowing exactly what it is and where its going. aaravi would NOT date around on a whim, and miranda is already so focused on finding the perfect someone who is her true love. the second both of them think they've found someone for the long haul they're not changing their mind.

3. it took so long for them to realize they even had a crush on each other while it was so blatantly obvious that they basically were dating already.

i woke up today and my IMMEDIATE thought was:

"if my killer´s blood gets in the way of that and won't let me protect the two of them, then these hands have no purpose"

my neural pathways were altered. i want that shit tattooed on my brain right next to:

“it won’t be a false relationship! this time we’re going to be a real family.”

Okay I don't like making big essays but honestly? As devastated as I am after episode 10, I personally am certain that the family is going to be okay. If they wanted to end with the three of them separated, why would they 1: give the mother a terminal illness and 2: do it in episode 10? It's a very gruesome and painful thing, but it means that Misaki will most likely disappear out of the picture forever. Once again it's super depressing and I feel bad for her, but from a storytelling standpoint it's a way to completely get her out of the story cleanly. And also, it's episode 10. There are still 2-3 episodes, and if this is the conclusion to the series and the way things are going to end, you wouldn't have this happen before the final episode. You would have the series end with them giving Miri back to Misaki.

And most notably, it would go against everything the series has been trying to tell us this entire time. The message throughout the show has been that "this is a family." It's not traditional, and it's incredibly far from perfect, but it is a family. Having the show end with everything falling apart and them being separated would be ridiculously counterproductive. It would be going against everything the show has been showing and telling us. And from a story with as nuanced and incredible writing as this one, I doubt they're going to pull the "and then everyone died lol the end!!!" card.

So yeah those are my thoughts. As I see it, from a storytelling standpoint, having a bad ending wouldn't make sense. I certainly expect bitter elements to it, and we have a hell of a ride until then. But I'm fairly confident that the show will end with all of them together and happy. Don't lose faith just yet everyone.

I have two fe blorbos hehehe who are like extremely different to each other and basically opposites but I would die for them, they are:

Innes from fire emblem sacred stones aka asshole super prideful prince who's secretly a good guy with a big heart (and also very dumb who has a one sided rivalry with the neighboring prince lol I ship them) also his sister, tana, is a close second on my favorite blorbos list

I'm an ephraim/innes enjoyer first and a person second tbh lol

And my other blorbo is Amber from fire emblem engage aka super lovable retainer to the crown prince who's family owns an alpaca ranch and who is extremely good in battle but also super clumsy, is obsessed with myths and legends and calls himself a hero lol

I'm also a diamant/amber enjoyer I just love the prince/retainer dynamic so much

Those are MY guys I would die for them lol

And YES I played all routes of fe3h including the church route and the dlc hehe

I personally distanced myself from the fe3h fandom cause my favorite character, at least in the early years, was the token character everyone hated for a while and I kept seeing so much hate of her I just couldn't do it lol (it's leonie, people hating her cause she's mean to the player as so weak, she was a jerk to me in game and immediately fell in love and was prepared to marry her)

What was it that convinced you to watch?

For me it was seeing it trend here on tumblr a couple of times and what made me eventually watch it were these two specific moments from episode 6, namely:

bones calling bullshit on the penal colony <333 i mean, reasonable reaction to your patient claiming they'd rather die than go back, but yippie! the fact that bones doesn't immediately write him off as 'just being in distress/not knowing what he's saying' !! me when i take my job as a medical professional seriously

the fact that star trek canonically at least TRIES to have humane prisons makes me v happy. like obv this episode is questioning whether that's actually TRUE (at least that's the vibe i'm getting so far), but like. the base assumption being that OBVIOUSLY prisoners should be treated humanely and as well as possible, that rehabilitation should be a primary function of a prison, and that, if a prisoner cannot be rehabilitated, they ought to be treated as a patient??? wowzer

MCCOY INVOKING HIS STATUS AS MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL AND HIS DUTY TO HIS PATIENT IF HE HAS "REASONABLE DOUBT" THE PATIENT IS BEING TREATED WELL !! MCCOY BEING WILLING TO, W/O HESITATION, FORCE HIS FRIEND INTO ACTING ON THAT DUTY !! like the fact that he doesn't let kirk overrule him on this is great from both a character perspective (mccoy doing this, kirk not actually protesting lmao) and a world building perspective (the fact that mccoy's right/duty as a doctor appears to be standard starfleet regulation)

dr. helen noel is very cool and sexy and i hope she appears in more episodes later on (u're very welcome to confirm or deny this so i don't get my hopes up unnecessarily)

big fan of when an episode ends on "wow that was fucked up. anyway". like oh okay, i guess we're done with this now. i'm sure an experience like this wouldn't leave a lasting impact on kirk's mental health [/sarcasm]
