^ I'm aware cacao is a lil lighter here, I bought a fnancy mechanical pencil with colored inserts that came in the mail yesterday and the colors weren't very pigmented, I'll switch it tmr when I can get my prismacolors

You know I had this vivid mental image in my head earlier (I think it was because of this post tbh, made gears turn in my head about the twin dragons again) of us getting an update surrounding the North and South Dragons, and on one of the loading screens, we’d see them alongside a young Cookie who could be either Dark Cacao or Dark Choco, but both the image and caption were too vague to tell which one it was

The caption only read, “Years ago, the North and South Dragons once met a little Cookie in the mountains. Little did they know at the time that their paths were destined to cross again…” or something to that effect, the eyes on the Cookie were either closed or obscured, and Dark Choco would be involved in the story surrounding the dragons, so it really was hard to tell who it was, and it was probably intentional for whatever reason

I don’t know, I just felt like sharing that. And now I want it to happen

I got a couple requests to draw Black and White Dragon in their split form and it was something I’d been thinking about since doing their dragon form. I like the idea that they’ve become nameless/faceless and have forgotten their true identity, living only for vengeance.

Episode 4 of BY isn't out yet, but screw it, meet the twin dragons, North and South!

They agreed to give Cacao their powers in exchange for their freedom. Now free to roam the lands once again, free from the curse that forced them to fight each other, they chose to stay in the Dark Cacao Kingdom, indept to Cacao (also are still lowkey traumatized by Stormbringer, and stay close to him because he's the only one who can stand his ground against her).

Also, they act pretty much like moody teenagers + giant cats because idk, I thought it'd be funny. Also because I genuinely felt kinda bad for their original form. Yeah they ate people, but they were also just like 15 minutes old or something.

They used to be just pure white and black, but after being absorbed into the souljam then released again, they sort of gained part of themselves from each other. Idk. I just want them to be more than just backdrops for Dark Cacao.

I wonder how many people know that Maria's animals are the Four Symbols from Chinese/East Asian mythology. Didn't pick it up until the turtle appeared but when I tell you I screamed

Who Is MK Attacking???

Cherrlyio (aka Cory) was like the first time we saw it and said again: "That kinda looks like Li Jing, you know, The one MK is attacking." And I was also like the first time we saw it and said again: "Hmm, are you sure?? I don't know, it could be, but who knows? It's so blurry." Cory: "Well, maybe.. I guess it could be something else, but still." Me: "Fair enough."

Imagine that whole conversation again- and THEN—

Me: "hm.. I'm still not sure... Waiiiiiittttt-- Dosn't it kinda look like the Black Tortoise? It's feet, I mean."

Me: "The one who was likely also present in the scene right before?~"

Cory: "....OHSHI——"

Me:"（￣︶￣）"

Cory: "SHIT YOU'RE RIGHT——!!! w(ﾟДﾟ)w"

So yeah... THIS MIGHT NOT BE LI JING AFTER ALL!!!??

Cory: "Ah damn, I just made a post about it being Li Jing...."

Yes, I'm bragging a little bit over for Cory—

It could just be that the angle turned after that first picture we see the Black Tortoise in, where it is behind the kneeling Mk.

Because, it is not behind MK any longer, in the scene where he is seemingly attacking it.

And it could even be in this scene too-!

Where - in that case - we see Sandy seemingly attacking it??

And here comes a theory: ~~

The Black Tortoise is one of Four Mythological Creatures that appear in Chinese Philosophy/Astrology.

It is usually represented with a snake coiled around it's body, but I mean - We haven't gotten one good look at it in the trailer, so that doesn't mean it can't be what we saw in LMK

-It would make quite a lot of sense that these four creatures who are appearing in the trailer IS INDEED the Four Auspicious Beasts Yes, they got many names, google it- from the Chinese Constellations.......!!!!?OAUFR）EKWNADOIFNKAAODNKFLF——！！？？?

But WAIT! I'm not done yet--

Here's ONE more detail that we're gonna cover in that video I mentioned~ :

These characters are wearing White Tiger accessories AND holding an Azure Dragon, instead of an red-gold Dragon that is usually held during Chinese Lunar New Year, which this could very well be..?

Even if it actually IS a thing to use Azure Dragons too, it IS a little suspicious they BOTH have an Azure Dragon and things that represents a WHITE TIGER..?

I'm pretty sure orange tigers is more usual too, just like red-gold Dragon is more common in China as well.

you can claim bioware is just doing their job and have all the excuses in the world for them but when u get down to it.... they really just didnt want to deal with anything from the past three games... they didnt want to put the work in to add even CODEXES (one the the easiest cheapest forms of implementing background lore) to this game... the literal game director barely even knows who ZEVRAN is (a MAIN CHARACTER from the FIRST of the series) because they didnt bother going back to replay or research dragon age as a series beyond dai... like... i understand the devs wanting to simplify their jobs and i actually totally agree, they needed to get rid of the keep, that was too much info for them to keep up with.

But they cut back SO MUCH, like an unnecessary amount. Three? THREE choices? AND ALL OF THEM ARE SOMEHOW RELATED TO SOLAS? NOTHING the inquisitor did was notable beyond their relationship to Solas? Nothing??

people are using leliana as an example of something bioware has retconned before because shes alive regardless of if u killed her in dao or not. except the problem with that is that the games DOES address the fact that she's supposed to be dead. like it very much does that??? hello?? id rather they bring her back and address it than just totally retcon it and never explain it

this is such a horrible, disrespectful decision on bioware's part and making excuses for them is WILD. like. the devs are fine i promise u. stopppp telling people to **touch grass** and **take some deep breaths** after I myself have invested over half my life into playing these games just to get slapped with "lol actually none of that matters now hehe" jfc

like i understand fandom can get a lil crazy but im telling u this isnt an overreaction lmao let people be upset about things that theyve poured their lives into for 15+ years

This is my roguesona, inspired by @roguefort-simp. Basically Tiemkeeper sneezed and messed up the timeline. So, Roguefort, who is now in Kingdom, travels Earthbread and befriended the two dragons.

I honestly had no idea what I was doing when I was creating them. I just wanted them to be in ancient Chinese clothing. I spent a lot of time drawing this monstrosity. I tried my best and I am so really tired.
