Ramaswami Priya has the day off! The first part of which seems best spent hanging around with her husband, and spotting things he should've taken care of during the week, and didn't. Getting to know Candy and Doyle better is also a high priority. Priya loves her job, but she wishes she could be around more. She's not as good friends with Candy and Arden as she wants to be; but she's glad Lavesh is growing up with neighbors he can be in a little community with. Arden's as good as a cousin for him.

With Jonah working days at band camp, Roxie has a lot of time to herself, which she uses to get out and meet people. She had this dream about her friend Jessica's husband last night, and needs distracting. But some things are Fate, apparently. Can't fight that.

With Roxie working evenings, Jonah often brings friends home from work.  Callista Fuchs appreciates him as a musician.

It's a pretty good party, all things considered, and Sanjay and Priya are too tired to clean up after it. So Lavesh helpfully does so when he wakes up in the morning. After all, he's a big boy and Arden says big boys can take care of themselves!

It's a small community, though, so time to make it bigger with a party!

Bellum

Portia, arriving home long before either parent, makes the most of her opportunities.

Like their son, Grace and Cash are not particularly social. They enjoy quiet evenings at home. 

It’s possible that having parents who are all-in-all to each other is part of why Cliff has overreacted so badly to Hugh’s non-flirtation with Dana the Cow.

As dates went it was more of an outing, with Ivan Tricou butting in all over the place; but Janis got her first kiss so that was cool.

Though, since he’s going steady with Tina Traveller, Isaiah’d better hope that Georgia Newson there doesn’t gossip too much.

Janis brought Isaiah home from school with her. She wants 50 first dates, and figured the sooner she started the better.

Carol finally got an acceptable makeover, and was going to head out when she spotted Winter Thyme, mother of Andy’s frat brother. She didn’t seem all that anxious to bond at first, but Carol isn’t the woman to be deterred by that! Then she went home to find Ivan hanging around their door, apparently afraid to knock. As well he should be at that hour.

Bigg City Schmidt After getting the kids off to school, Johan Schmidt went to the Art Museum with Matthew Smith to check out how (or if!) the local art scene has advanced at all since he left all those years ago.

Jessica and Matthew have gotten together a pretty big outing. Alas, they fail to take into consideration the dating histories of Candy Hart and Roxie Sharpe! MaryG runs inside, appalled at their behavior - and in front of little Jesse, too! Nathan tries to get them seated, but the hostess says all the tables are reserved. They don't look occupied to Nathan - it's probably an excuse to get the violence out the door. Not that he can blame them for that.

Goodies The house feels empty with all the kids out of it during the school day, so Herbert and Faith take a waltz around town. Lots of old folks frequent the Rest Stop, but it's hard for Faith to feel she's got anything in common with most of them, and the chess board  is being hogged by a couple  of whippersnappers, so they run across the street to pounce on the one at the General Store.

Ottomas The kids all know better than to disturb Mommy and Daddy when their door's closed.   Only Rosalind doesn't get with the program; and she can't make it upstairs to disturb anybody. Sharla doesn't mind making breakfast. Sharla doesn't mind anything much, now that she's dated Arden Hart. Yes, he's disgracefully young - but he's very mature for his age. It's being a Hart.
