I pretty much learned to draw Tails by tracing models over and over again when I was still new drawing him. That's why my old artworks still have flaws and look super static. Eventually I used a base and reference other peoples styles to find and mix my own, which then led me to the style you see in the first pick today!

Here is a small tutorial, that might help newcomers! You can apply this to any character you want to draw consistently.
