Gang what do we thing about a little teaser of the first Chapter of Way Back then- I'm not nearly done but I'm working on it rn and figured hey, why not-

...To his surprise, and at little bit of plain old confusion, neither Cream nor Charmy had anything to say in way of adventure. For once they both seemed at a loss for what to do.

"Well- um…we can…chase down Dr.Eggman and kick some robot butt!" Charmy swooped down with an idea, kicking his leg in the air for dramatic effect.

"We do that all the time, without needing to chase down Eggman. Maybe we can do something more relaxed? Like- watch a movie! I just saw an ad for "Chao in Space: The Prequel" coming out today!" Cream seemed to let the heat get to her a little as well, forgoing her usual attempts to politely turn down Charmy and instead jumping right into her own suggestion.

Neither of them sounded particularly fun in Tails' opinion. Sure watching a movie sounded fun, but he didn't really wanna have to deal with people today, especially with how hot it was and how irritable people where when they were uncomfortable. As for fighting Eggman, for all his evil glory, Tails doubted even he'd be doing much today.

"Hmm…maybe we could go look around the forest just west of here? I heard some broken Badniks might have been left in there from our last fight with Eggman, which we can spend time looking for, and it'll be covered in shade from the trees so it won't be too hot." Trying to come up with something they'd all get some kind of enjoyment out of, Tails throws out the first idea he comes up with. He knew Cream liked exploring woodland areas for flowers, wildlife, plants, and all sorts of things she'd come to appreciate over the last couple months. At the same time, the promise of a few still functioning Badniks to beat up could entice Charmy enough to go along with it, along with the benefit for him of getting some spare parts from the destroyed robots.

Both Cream and Charmy seem to ponder his suggestion for a minute, staying quiet just long enough for Tails to start second guessing himself, before suddenly their expressions change to something of agreement.

Charmy, as per usual, is the first to get his opinion out there, "Yeah, I guess that sounds fun. Anything better than sitting around bored all day! Seriously, Vector and Espio are so boring sometimes! I was trying to convince them to hang out with me, but both of them were too busy! They kept saying something about tax returns or whatever-" Crossing his arms with a loud huff, Charmy immediately flies into complaining, again. At least this time Cream interrupts him before he can go on too long.

"I like that idea! I wanted to find some pretty flowers to give to Mother soon anyway. Maybe we'll find some in the woods!" Cream claps her hands together, immediately brightening up at the idea that she could get something practical (and, as per usual, kind as could be) out of a trip to the forest.

"Then it's settled! We'll head out and get our adventure on!" Rather satisfied with himself, Tails' namesakes flick back and forth behind him, already excited to see what metals and scraps he could collect from Eggman's technology. Something about his most recent Badniks had been different lately. They seemed more…self-sufficient in a way. In the past it'd always been easy to trick the hunks of metal, you step one foot out of their line of sight and it's like you never existed in the first place. But as of late they'd started learning, almost like Eggman had implemented some kind of AI to learn from their past moves and adjust based on past information. If he had done something like that, it could be a problem for Sonic later on and Tails…didn't like to think about that. Sure, he was more than confident in Sonic's abilities and had absolutely no doubt he'd be able to handle any upgraded Badniks Eggman threw his way! But..that didn't mean he liked the idea of Sonic being caught off guard by something new, and ending up hurt. Either way, Tails would find out what was going on, and prepare accordingly! Nothing could go wrong as long as he got the information he needed to prevent it in the first place.
